You could probably get some medication for that disease! I have the all black Goldwing. I washed it the other day after a ride from Tallahassee to Lubbock and back. I noticed that I was not getting the crevices on the top of the engine clean. I thought about it for a second and then went for a swim. Its still dirty. :)
I guess I’m OCD as well. I have a 2018 GW DCT and I am constantly cleaning it thoroughly. When I just walk by it in my garage I have to take a very soft cloth and dust it off. I also have a 2007 Yamaha 1100 V Custom Special and ppl can’t believe what I do to keep it looking immaculate. It’s just simple pride in what is mine and when I ride, I want others to see the pride I take in my bikes that I worked hard to own. Do the same with my 2008 Nissan Frontier. I don’t think any of them can be clean enough and the value holds up better.
I used to consider myself OCD when deep cleaning my bike, but after watching this video I am going to stop using that word. I only deep clean mine about 3 times per season, which up here in SD is late March to late October. I wipe it down to get the bugs off 2 or 3 times per month, but I go to town with a toothbrush and boars hair brush when I deep clean. Just not to the level you do. You take the podium, sir! Good for you, I say! If that is your form of meditation, catharsis, etc...then that is a great use of time. You're the type of personality I look for when buying a used motorcycle. It's all about the details.
I thought everyone keeps their Hondas clean. I came from an all chromed out Road King. I'm used to spending hours cleaning my bikes. Now the power washer is my friend with these "plastic fantastics" (taken from Maikeli7).
It would be nice if I had time to keep the bike as clean as yours. Since I ride it everyday, I will clean the fairing and windshield so when I get to work and put the cover over it, it helps keep scratches to a minimum. I use a half cover on it everyday to keep the sun from turning the windshield yellow, and protection for the dash and paint. I do take the windshield off periodically to clean the back side of it. Bugs splatter in the space between the dash and windshield and get on the back side of the windshield and I can get it all clean including the windshield brackets that hold the windshield on. I also use the S100 cleaner. I spray it on and hose it off. That gets it clean quickly. Great video, keeping the bike clean and nice will also help in its resale value down the road. Ride Safe.
Have you used the cycle care formula 4 on the black vinyl pieces like the ones right under your thighs that always seem to attract dust? Just wondering. Thanks for all your great videos!!
Good Morning Cruiseman! I’m enjoying your OCD video, but I’m interested in knowing what brand of Upper air defectors you have on your bike: I don’t remember seeing the mounting brackets on any I have seen on any I have researched, I like the ones you have 😊! Loyal.
OCD? I don’t know about that. Just a good maintenance and pride of ownership mindset. Clean, protected and looking great is a good thing. These bikes are expensive. Ride them, enjoy them. Then take good care of them. They will take care of you. You do you Cruise.
Cruiseman: I had to laugh at your continual comments during the cleaning video about how "lazy" you were being. Is it possible that you are even more OCD than you showed on the video? Have purchased a couple of Chemical Guys grit screens for my wash buckets as you recommended in your 2 pail washing video. Thanks. Great content.
Are your Rocker covers original, mine started to corrode within 12 mths, I had them renewed under warranty but the new ones have done the same, despite polish and wd40
Look Cruiseman, let me just say what everybody thinking….. and we all know it…. You’ve got two white gold wings, one never leaves the garage and one gets ridden…… This is also the explanation I give to my wife, as she has seen your videos, and has questioned me on why my bike is not as clean as yours?…… because he has two bikes dear, can I get a second bike also ? Suddenly, I’m by myself in the garage with my one single bike.
If I spent that much time cleaning I would not have any time to ride. It's a daily driver. rain or shine. Cleaning would be waste of time in my case. The last time my bike got a bath was in 2008. I still get crowds of people at EVERY gas stop asking who makes that bike and how nice it looks. I certainly understand people's obsession with bike cleaning though.
You're not OCD, but I am because it would be CDO (alphabetical order of the letters hahaha). But a clean motorcycle/vehicle is a happy one. Nothing wrong at all with some pride in taking care of your stuff.

My medication is Crown Royal.
@@cruisemansgarage you might want to up the dosage! :)

After washing my 02 wing, I air blow it dry prior to polishing it… powerful blowers are great at moving water from all over the bike.. good job CM.🇬🇧👍
Is it possible that with the high power blower one could scratch the surface with anything the blower happens to blow...wonder about that...

Great tips. Thanks!
Thanks Bro. - please, no one complain. You watched the video after all!!
I am much more interested in riding rather than cleaning.

Be careful with that pressure washer around the hand controls.
I have it to. I clean it once a year whether it need it or not.😀
When you clean a bike you notice things that need adjustment or repair... being thorough is not a bad thing with bikes.....
Agree.

Aww, chopstick, very good Cruisemanson...
I can appreciate YOUR need to keep YOUR bike spotless. It is your job.
It ain't mine...so I don't 😂
I had a cb 550 four k. 6 hours once a week.

Love from DeKalb Mississippi USA 🇺🇲
And then came the rainstorm...lol
Honda spray polish is the best you can get.

Yes, you are.
Hey! What happened to your Ultimate seat? Did you decide you like the Wings oft seat better?
I have a 21 R1250 GS Adventure and my bike stays dirty from the places I find to adventure to. 😂

Mine are original. I have not had that issue. Could the water in your area be extra corrosive?
Yes you are. Don’t change a thing.

Can't the water damage the speakers that are around the seats there?
The speakers are marine-grade and supposed to be waterproof.
What do you use to clean the black parts on the side of the bike
0.5 Xanax will help.
The Solo hand held spray bottle is no longer in stock at Amazon 😞
Keep watching. They will restock.
