In what way did the flavour change after seasoning? I have had these burrs for a week but I have only put around 2kg through them so far and I already really like them.
Very easy, like with any other burrs. At first I wasn’t sure about them, but after seasoning with over 5kg of coffee I have to say- very good burrs, if you like those rounded flavours. They work nicely for pour overs and this morning I had an amazing espresso out of them. Great texture and deep flavours.
@@mycoffeeshow111 Exactly my thoughts, these would probably my trapped on an island choice. Great texture and sweetness for espresso, while clear and sweet for pour-over. I have them in Mazzer Major so that's why I wanted to know how the installation went with DF, will probably switch later this year, unless the 80mm Zerno blows everything out of water. Anyway, thanks and enjoy your Sunday sir.
@@arianhoxha6413 is 80mm Zerno coming? Not sure if they ship to UK but I would like to get it. Anyway, next week I will compare 83mm with 64mm cast burrs. Enjoy your weekend!
How different compared to other burrs? especially the stock! have you done espresso?
After seasoning, expect smooth, creamy texture and rounded but well pronounced notes
@@mycoffeeshow111 if i got this combo, how different from standard neiche zero for espresso?
P.s. keep up the good vids
@@TheMarkShenouda thx. Cast burrs (vs Niche Zero) - a little bit less body, more clarity, no bitter aftertaste.

I have noticed shift after about 3kg. Mostly in terms of increased depth of flavours and clarity. Also coffee bed was less muddy.
Curious how these compare to the 64mm lab sweet cast burrs - i have these burrs in a fellow ode and was considering the df83v with cast
I will be comparing them soon but from memory, I was never impressed with 64mm and I really like those 83mm.
Had these since early January and can't say enough good things about them. How was the installation?
