I like your videos and try of learn with it. Sir I have purchased a USB microphone (Rode NT USB mini) before six month back, and started vocal recording with Karaoke tracks in Cakewalk. My question is if I plan to buy a new Audio Interface and a Condenser/Dynamic mic (in the budget 20 thousand including both) then what will it be the possibility of change in recording quality as : 1. Same as it is 2. Slightly better 3. Huge difference in output. Pl. clarify it. Thanks Bhushan Londhey
This is something, that I can't answer. I don't have any experience with recording using better a mic. Nor do I have an interface or soundcard. However, I do think it would definitely be better. Also, it would be better to ask this question in a video on recording and vocals. It does not matter if its not Cakewalk
is good what you did my respects and seems easy to do but i don understand why cakewalk dont created a tool like FL studio to play more easy the samples
I think you are referring to the sampler in FL. At the moment Cakewalk does not have any built-in sampler. We can install one though. Its all explained in the next video of the series (linked in desc). Users have been requesting a built in sampler for CbB. So, I think a sampler might eventually get added into CbB.
i tried following the instructions. I could not find the VST folder to move the Orilver Plugin to. Also, when playing back the audio loops there's a crackling sound. I have been using soundlab all this time but I want to "graduate" to Cakewalk
The crackling sound might be because of Buffer Size. You can set an appropriate buffer size in preferences-> audio driver section. There should be a VST Plugins folder. Try searching it up in windows explorer. If nothing shows up, make one, and add that directory in Cakewalk VST paths section
I am a bit confused about how to start making an EDM song I have studied about basic topics to advance but how can I start making a song and which is better step seq or wave file for beats
Bro how have you downloaded all the sample packs ? I tried to download the packs from the link you provided but now they are not been shown in the cakewalk in the sample packs ? Please help me!!
@@adk_studios bro the issue was resolved. Thanks for the help! And if you can provide the most important shortcuts of bandlab,it will be very helpful for us !
Thank you very much for this tutorial! But is there way to record playing on midi keyboard some short sound sample where the pitch of that sample should also change according by pressing the key on piano? In other words is there way to setup cakewalk to play on midi keyboard with own sound sample? ( want to record melody where i control custom sound by pitch through midi keyboard) I beg your pardon for my poor english
Thanks for the tutorial! I notice when I duplicate my drum beats, there is a very loud click between loops. Any idea how I can fix this? (if it isn't obvious I'm a complete novice)
Try varying the 'buffer size' which can be found in preferences -> 'Driver settings'. If you can't adjust that, change 'Diver Mode' under 'Playback and Recording'. Use MEE or the WASAPI drivers
Need 3-4 separate sessions for Instrument, Plugins, VSTs, Samples, Sound Modes and few more (like default, TTS). It has been great sofar. But the way these elements connect is hard to follow. Thanks,
What if I have a Midi song and want to replace tracks/channels with new sets of instument, what are the steps to replace instument or use new sample that needs to synch the tempo and position? Thanks,
(As of now) I'm afraid I do not know if we can export all of the MIDI into a songle file. I save the MIDI as separate files and load them to their respective individual tracks one by one.
@@adk_studios Namaste, Hi Thanks for trying to response with my questions. My problems is about Plugins vs PATCHES that are Cakewalk INSTRUMENT defaults. Right now when I opened a Midi files that was created by other programs, I have to assign a Patch of instrument in order to hear a tone. Not the perfect one but enough to hear the whole song. I can balance Volume of each Track and modify the Velocities of notes within. No patch if it is a Drum but has to send to Channel-10. The process of assigning Channel is a little complicate but I can work it out. Then come the plug-ins and SAMPLEs of instrument. My question is, how can I replace each Patch of a track with simlar Plugin or Sample? This must not be from adding new track, assign INSTRUMENT from Plugins or Sample then cut and paste notes into it.
I don't think that is sampling that is importing audio files. Sampling has a piano roll that plays the sample at different pitches. Sampling cannot be done in Cakewalk you have to use another DAW like LMMS for sampling. Or try and find a sampler plugin.
The Sampling "that you mentioned" in the general music production sense, means using something that is already existing, and making something new out of it by any means (not only in Piano Roll). The sampler plugin method mentioned in the comment, is covered in the next video of this tutorial series, and is linked in the video description. PS - This video did not focus on sampling.
Heya @adk_studios, quick question: do you have a recommendation for replacement of the Drip samples? I realize that for this it's not extremely important, but it seems there are no more licenses available for the Drip pack and thus I am unable to download. I am trying to avoid downloading too many sample packs for now as I am just beginning and would like to save some time looking through a lot of samples to more or less match the examples shown in this video. Thanks in advance! :)
Since Drip is a sample pack towards trap music, here are some of their other options cymatics.fm/blogs/production/free-trap-drum-kits-the-ultimate-list
Hi, so I tried looking for the sampler packs folder you have shown in the video, but I can't seem to find it. I also do not have that soft drive of yours that is on your PC. DO I need that? or do I need to download some samples first?

My question is if I plan to buy a new Audio Interface and a Condenser/Dynamic mic (in the budget 20 thousand including both) then what will it be the possibility of change in recording quality as : 1. Same as it is 2. Slightly better 3. Huge difference in output.
Pl. clarify it.
Thanks

This is something, that I can't answer. I don't have any experience with recording using better a mic. Nor do I have an interface or soundcard.
However, I do think it would definitely be better.
Also, it would be better to ask this question in a video on recording and vocals. It does not matter if its not Cakewalk
It's going to improve your recording quality and experience by a LOT.
is good what you did my respects and seems easy to do but i don understand why cakewalk dont created a tool like FL studio to play more easy the samples
We will come to that topic after 1 video
Bro how have you downloaded all the sample packs ? I tried to download the packs from the link you provided but now they are not been shown in the cakewalk in the sample packs ?
Please help me!!
I have the free packs and I can access them CbB. What is your issue exactly?
@@adk_studios bro the issue was resolved. Thanks for the help!
And if you can provide the most important shortcuts of bandlab,it will be very helpful for us !
Thank you very much for this tutorial!
But is there way to record playing on midi keyboard some short sound sample where the pitch of that sample should also change according by pressing the key on piano? In other words is there way to setup cakewalk to play on midi keyboard with own sound sample? ( want to record melody where i control custom sound by pitch through midi keyboard)
I beg your pardon for my poor english
Watch the next video from the video description.
Then later on, you can refer video 10 of the series if you need to figure out recording MIDI
Thanks for the tutorial! I notice when I duplicate my drum beats, there is a very loud click between loops. Any idea how I can fix this? (if it isn't obvious I'm a complete novice)
Do you mean a click sound between loop repetitions during playback?
@@adk_studios exactly
Try varying the 'buffer size' which can be found in preferences -> 'Driver settings'.
If you can't adjust that, change 'Diver Mode' under 'Playback and Recording'.
Use MEE or the WASAPI drivers
Where are download you free samples?
Check the video description
I don’t see not nam video on how to use samples in the step sequence

Need 3-4 separate sessions for Instrument, Plugins, VSTs, Samples, Sound Modes and few more (like default, TTS). It has been great sofar. But the way these elements connect is hard to follow. Thanks,
I'm not sure if this is a question...
@@adk_studios It's a request.
The sample packs i downloaded aren't showing up in cakewalk, i don't understand why
Can you find the sample pack in the normal windows file manager?
If so, navigate to that directory inside Cakewalk
wow
How do I play the samples with a midi device like a keyboard, or pads?
Refer this video for that

Since Drip is a sample pack towards trap music, here are some of their other options

Hi, so I tried looking for the sampler packs folder you have shown in the video, but I can't seem to find it. I also do not have that soft drive of yours that is on your PC. DO I need that? or do I need to download some samples first?
Download sample packs. Check the description of the video for links where you can find them
