This is a tier list of the best magic overhaul mods that are currently available for Elden Ring. These magic overhaul mods are some of the best and most promising out there right now. These mods show some of the best visual effects, animations and balance of the magic mods out there and I judged this list based on those criteria. This tier list is made by my own personal opinions and is purely for entertainment and educational purposes.

DUDE i love that mod. the fact alone that you made some spells have more differences from light to charged always thought that would be cool if it would be more then jus Little bigger and more dmg keep up the good work really :D

Nice list, I actually had not seen vigil before but it seems pretty interesting. Have you heard of Cantrips and Spell Tools for Elden Ring? Its another magic 'overhaul' mod focused on adding more ways to cast or play with magic like adding cantrips to all catalysts.
I don't know how but I managed to miss that, I swear I spent like an hour sifting to make sure I could test them all, I just checked it out and it looks pretty awesome I'll likely get a video for it and will likely put it in the updated tier list down the line :)

The top three are pretty wonderful. Aint it weird how magic overhauls are able to be subtle and rad without going DMC but weapon overhauls seemingly can't?
The current magic overhauls out right now are all quite good, I hope that when convergence releases we will see a lot more balanced lore friendly weapons
I kinda like to mix both. The best DMC combat mod that's out is carian combo warriors, the only problem with it is balance but there's patches that make the game harder so that you don't trivialise combat. Fast paced melee is pretty fun after rebalancing, the magic mods also help adding variety to combat. I only find it lame when the mods are like the first one where the effects are really cool but so broken and unbalanced that I know I'll never download those.
I can't seem to make syyykes magic overhaul to work with grand merchant mod. Help me
Hey mate what would you say are the best non op weapon mods? I wanna start a new playthrough but not dominate everything with an op mod
Ah, that's a great question. I'd have to say a good non-exhaustive list would include: Dragon Halberd V2, Vestige Of Eiraseax, Gargoyle's Black Halberd, Icefrayed Blade and any of the bending movesets from cleverraptor. That being said, some of those mods are pretty old and will likely need an update which is pretty easy to do with dsmapstudio (just search update regulation.bin with dsmapstudio for some tutorials). But otherwise most 'OP' mods can be tamed pretty well by limiting your stats/upgrades to make them not hit so hard. Hope that all helps!
