Thanks for actually pausing to show things and talking through this. Most video guides just show a strategy without explanation. This was very helpful.
@emosalad On Critical? Yeah, I don't believe you. MS is harder because he's broken; he counters basically EVERY move that the player uses against him (including D link or shotlocks), whereas LW needs the player to spot patterns and time the attacks/dodges.

Awesome strat! Excellent execution and explanation, well done. I once got so proficient at sephiroth on KH1 that I could do it with no items, no armor, weakest keyblade, using only regular combos, sonic blade, and cure. But KH2 sephiroth was much more fun to battle but even he became easy. They really should have put a battle with him into the third game!
More information about LW: You can also just use regular combos in his final phase, but to keep him DM'ing you have to cut off before the third explosion, if you do a third explosion, you will make the battle much more difficult, as he will retaliate (probably rising sun -> whip) then immediately teleport and summon the turrets around you, when he reappears he could do anything, but if he uses ultima cannon, you can bring back the battle by doing two explosions after guarding back the ball of energy. In his final phase he also uses his punch attack multiple times in a row, he does the finisher, but immediately teleports and does it again, and does this 3-5 times, getting caught in this can be deadly even with Once More. He can also shoot the bow more than 3 times. If he curses (remove attack or magic and items) in his final phase, he will DM straight after, even if you negate the attack. If LW retaliates into his final phase (forced retaliation) on the ground, he can just DM, no teleport, no rising sun, just DM in your face.

Nice guide. At least now I know the rough guide to beating him. Now I just need to figure out how to drop the fight time to around 90 seconds to make it worth farming.
Holy cow... the way you know his moves makes me want to cry. I just can't seem to be in a calm enough state to just walk around him like this. It's really impressive. Makes me wish you could just come over and beat him for me because he's the last barrier left for me to get my platinum. lol
I swear the US version is way harder when I see the jp one and then look at mine the you wouldn't be able to use comet from the start he would have already hit you.
It's possible the Limit doesn't load in time since 2.5 English load times are slower, but if that's the case just don't do Comet at beginning and walk away + react to what he does, he only will kill/hit you with the punch that way
Bizkit047 i've seen that most 2.5 users pause the game at activating a drive form, it buffers the drive form, but i doubt Square enix is going to patch the slow drive load.
I watched this video like 3 times back-to-back. It took me about a week to learn the timing to properly block/evade every attack. About 6 months after finding you, I can beat him with little to no damage taken. Thanks for the strat!
Interestingly enough, for some people with issues of time who don't run lvl 1, It is actually a minute faster to use the Fenrir/Negative Combo strat. Granted it's riskier
Could you maybe do a revisit to this on how to deal with Terra's other moves? I have extremely bad luck and get bike/seal most of the time, and seal is death if I don't dodge roll it in time.
Hi Biz, great video! Thanks for taking the time to explain and pause. It’s extremely helpful. Could you please clarify one thing? You mention a Zanka (something) strat where you don’t do the finisher for ars? Does that mean don’t mash triangle? So if I saw correctly in the video you went in two ars, no finisher, full combo, ars again no finisher.
If it's when you deflect Ultima to hit him, that does extra Revenge Value, so I do an aerial spiral + Horizontal Slash then drop the combo and do the two normal ground combos as usual to hit his RV
it could also be if you're like starting fresh after a single whip. for whatever reason if he retaliates with a whip, then lands, it doesn't wipe his RV entirely every time.
I've beaten Dark Souls 100's of times, but this prick, is IMPOSSIBLE. All he does is lock my commands, and if I get hit by rising sun, I don't even have time to aerial dodge before I get hit again! And critical mode is just making this 1000x harder!
girafferofl if he hits you with rising sun all you have to do is time your aerial recovery so he won't hit you with the next one. Trust me, it is possible, it just requires practice.
With rising sun time your aerial recovery so he doesn't damage you, and if it was his second swoop that caught you, use Reflega in the air to block the final swoop.
I died 30 times to him an yes he is hard but he becomes easy if you know him well and play youre cards right. You can avoid the sealing of youre commants by using dodgeroll ore Reflek. If youre physical attacks get sealed than he often uses ultima canon. Deflect one shoot to send him flying and than use LimitForm Limits to break the seal. If youre magic is sealed than Stich saves the day. If you at low Hp he stuns Lingering Will with his Ukulele and let him drop Hp orbs. Just get hit by a combo, survive with second Chance and once more and than attack LW while he is stuned by Stich to break the seal. Also Stich is in general a godsend in this fight. Like fore example he deflects the attacks of the drones and Ultima canon shoots. Also he heals youre Mp. I already beat LW about 80 times ore more thanks to Stich. But youre comment is so old. You probably already figured out that he is not that hard if you know him well
this guy beat him without any hits in less than 8 minutes, while explaining to do so, and it took me almost 25 minutes, and almost dying about 2 dozen times.
It's funny how calm he is during the fight as if Lingering Will is just some random beginning boss, but once you beat lingering Will a few times and can dodge/block any of his attacks. It's not that bad
Thanks to my dedication (and some video help for Org Data and Mushrooms), this guy is now the final thing standing between me and full Journal completion on Critical... and if it weren't for lacking a Wheel/G for an EX mission (they stuck it in Asteroid Sweep 3 of all places), that would be the Platinum as well. Unfortunately, he REALLY likes changing his starting attack on me, a common one being the "lockout" attack. But I didn't struggle with the other Proofs just to give up now!
That moment when he has just 3 bars left, and when you want to get the limit form, you get.. The No-form. F* this sh*t ! xD Thx for the start' btw, great job !
Because he's used to the Japanese controls for the game. He's played KH2FM on PS2 for years where the confirm button is (O) and the cancel button is (X). Since he speedrun's this game so often, changing to the English setup (Confirm = X)(Cancel = O) would be a real pain to get used to after playing with the Japanese controls for roughly eight years. And the Japanese version has faster loading times.
Foxy Maniac He bought the Japanese version before the English version had even come out. There was no way he could have even known about those crashes until he played the English version himself.
Hey Biz, I have a question. How the heck do you survive when he brings out 2 lasers and attacks at the same time? Is guarding till they're gone the best way of doing it?
Ninten866 You can also Aerial Dodge into them. You're invincible during an Aerial Dodge, so you can jump right into them to destroy them. Be careful because if he's attacking you while he's got turrets up, he can catch you off guard or the turrets can respawn and knock you into the air where Second Chance and Once More can't save you.
Can anyone help explain why Lingering Will Retaliates after 2 Full ground combos instead of 3 every time? I have my setup as show in the video and for the life of me I cannot figure out why I hit his revenge value in 2 combo strings instead of 3. For reference I'm playing the PS4 ver.
So what do you do when Terra opens with his glider and when you hit his revenge value he teleports away and spawns two of those drone things while then doing rising sun? How do you get rid of the drones while also dealing with Terra attacking as well?
If lasers are out what I usually do is go into Limit Form and then if you get the opening, starting a Limit can destroy them. Or just doing a normal combo on Terra and using Reflect during it before they shoot works too
he keeps summoning his lasers after my third combo Like half the time I finish it he attacks me immediately after summoning the lasers.what am I doing wrong?
His second phase really doesn't play out like that for me. He does more after that spiral at the end where you did limit form. Also, why does your drive form go down to 4 after limit and mine goes down to 3? I'm level 99 as well. I'm on proud mode
I've been able to bypass his Phase three revenge value without using the limit form strategy, my strategy mostly consists of bashing him into the air with a finisher, letting him drop down, and then bashing him again for two full combos, then using explosion on the third ground combo. I don't know if the revenge value is still there, but this consistently put him into DM only for me.
So I'm trying the strategy, but I seem to be getting a weird attack a lot of the time. He'll do two drones and then do a rising sun, which throws off the timing. He does this in any phase (I've had him do it both first and second). Is this normal, or am I doing something wrong?
That's his bike phase, he can do it in 1st & 2nd phase if he picks Bike in either one. If that happens, try to time Guard well with when the lasers shoot or his Rising Sun. Dealing with those is probably the hardest thing to do against Terra out of most of his moves
If I don't do the Limit form strat, can i still loop him into doing his DM when I don't hit his revenge value? I know it'll take longer to end the battle, but I need some practice using Ars.
Yes, you can still loop him in that final stage of his. Just use 2 full combos into explosion and do a third combo but stop before you perform the explosion finishing move. It has the same effect as the Limit Form Zantetsuken Last Arcanum combo. You won't hit his Revenge Value and he will jump straight to his Desperation Move. The Limit Form Zantetsuken Last Arcanum combo does a ton more damage and allows you to beat him much faster once you get it down. And it doesn't take too long to get used to.
I'm having trouble getting out the slap shot after the 2nd final hit of ars. The stagger recovery is too quick. Can you stop ars at anytime and combo into the zantetsuken?
It's only a good idea to stop Ars before the final attack, some hits of Ars are impossible to connect a Slapshot. Also make sure you're holding a direction towards him before you try to Slapshot to have it come out faster, if you just stand still at the end of Ars it won't work
Ars is 13 hits right? The first 7 come out quick but the final 6 (or in my case 5 to prevent forced revenge) come out really slow. I'm usually mashing 🔺️ right after the ether shortcut to prevent: 1. My ars from abruptly stopping 2. Him coming out of stagger As a result this leads me to either underestimating when I should mash X for the snapshot or going to far and hitting forced revenge. Thanks for the reply, I'll keep practicing
@@Bizkit047 I was practicing it for a couple hours but I had to practice the timing on the ars RC's on agrabah mushroom a couple times as a mock test. Either way I finally pulled it off. ua-cam.com/video/7a9A14Fovh0/v-deo.html Thanks again
Hey bizkit, is there a way to avoid terra's bike/drone attack pattern after u pass his first HP barrier or is it random. Also is there a way to get him out of his bike/drone attack pattern. I am trying to beat this guy lvl1 but I can't find a way to deal with that attack pattern.
It's a bit random to survive 2nd phase bike, but no you cannot stop him from being in that attack pattern, but a good trick I do to get past it is whip out the Limit Form looping in 2nd phase instead of last phase cuz last phase doesn't need it as much as bike phase does. Going into a Limit on Terra when he's open in Limit Form can destroy the drones too, and if not then you can try reverting and doing normal combos with Reflect when they shoot during your combo to stagger Terra more
Dolan's limit isnt available at the beginning... ever. I mash triangle, its not there. I wait to see if mashing it too much makes it unavailable, i still cant use it. Help plz
+Sway He's playing the Japanese version because that's what he's used to and also because the English version wasn't out at the time. KH2FM isn't faster in Japanese because you can skip text-box scenes. The Japanese version of KH1FM is faster than English though. This is because text-box scenes can't be skipped. The Japanese don't necessarily TALK faster, but because Japanese is a largely ideographic language, the text displays more quickly because there are less characters to load than in English.
I was referring to the HD versions in particular in my comment. Because the HD version of KH2FM is what is being shown in this video. The Japanese HD version of KH1FM is faster than the English version because of unskippable text-box scenes and Japanese text scrolling faster. It's a pretty minor time save over the course of the run, but a timesave nonetheless. The PS2 versions of the game are significantly slower than any version of HD due to every single cutscene being unskippable. Bizkit is literally playing the HD version of KH2FM in this video, as I said, and has done runs of KH2FM HD. There aren't any differences in speed for any of the HD versions of KH2FM, as far as I know.
so i get terra into second phase and then he immidietly goes into bike (which is fine becausebi know how to block it) but as soin as i start attacking him bexause hes voulnurable he goes into second bike but this time with blizzard... what should i do
terra using blizzard is apparently rare. i've never seen him use it ever when fighting him. two methods that could work is maybe glide out of the way a,d hope for the best he doesn't hit you, or dodge roll spam out of the way. you could try guarding, but i'm not sure what good that is against the blizzard attacks since there's some attacks in the game that are unblockable with guard, such as roxas' light pillars, etc.
You don't HAVE to know about RV to beat the game or handle the super bosses, it just helps a ton to know. If you have Second Chance/Once More/Leaf Bracer, you can ignore RV a lot if you're good at survival skills
No, it just became evident for people who payed closer attention that learning they break out of combos at different times depending on how you combo and testing how many hits things were and such
I saw the bubbles when you talked to him, what happen if you reject his challenge, does that mean you can freely walk around the badlands without him kicking your butt (I really want to make a picture with sora standing next to lingering will as he’s kneeling on the ground)
I'm having problems looping him does it matter what his starting move is I did it one and did the fight without breaking out of his loop I don't know why he keeps breaking out
grant patrick If he does the bike move at any point before the last phase, he can't be looped properly during it, so it's random. If he is a phase where he uses Ultima Cannon, you need to modify your combo to be shorter because his Revenge Value has already gone up if you deflect the shot into him to stagger him
grant patrick Dodge rolling into the Ultima Cannon ball should prevent it from damaging him and adding Revenge Value, but make sure that you don't dodge through the ball and into his cannon. You risk taking damage from this if you do it too early.
Doing Auto Limit with Dolan prevents getting sealed at the beginning. If you do get sealed after that though, Terra becomes less aggressive after a seal so you just have to wait until he's open, either from a jump, Rising Sun, or Ultima Cannon to go in to break the seal
As far as I can tell it's a meme where everything is spelled wrong and drawn horribly. I guess it's funny because there's so little effort put into them and yet there are so many.
How did you figure out how to beat him? I'm fighting him for the first time, and I can't live long enough to figure out his attack patterns for myself! Did you look real hard into the code to figure when and what attacks and moves he does? Or did you seriously fight him like, a million time before you said, "Right, I've figured him out."?
I've done this fight many times, you just learn it well over time. If you make a LV99 Critical Mode file it's pretty easy to test the fight out a lot with Second Chance/Once More/Leaf Bracer and such.
Yep, I'm playing with a Lv99 Critical file right now. Honestly, it would have taken me forever to figure out how not to die in the first ten seconds if it weren't for your videos. He still hits hard, heh
Would a magic user have trouble using the same strategies against the end game bosses? Or can I do everything exactly the same, but use a magic combo instead of a physical combo? I am still getting used to revenge values, so I am trying to create my own strategies based off of other players strategies, just by using magic instead of physical attacks. For example, could I start a combo with a few fires to stagger, then finish with a Blizzard followed by a Thunder(the Blizzard is just because it is my favorite spell and it will push me away a little, and the Thunder would be to knock him in the air)? Or would magic have a different effect on the revenge values, making me have to come up with a completely different strategy? I would greatly appreciate it if you could help me out. :-D
+Ryan Compton Yes you can make up your own combos with magic just fine. Magic has different revenge values though, but it's easy to test to see what works anyway
+Ryan Compton You'll have a easier time doing that, with proper set ups and strategies your magic damage can be really insane (especially with drive forms) most the time the combo the magic combo you use should be switched up depending on the boss fight :D
I am actually figuring out magic strats for these bosses, but I usually like to use Mysterious Abyss. I beat Terra with Bond of Flame, though, because Firaga is the best spell to use against him
I can see you moving around the camera for the drones. Is it easier to have the camera on manual for this fight? Also, I can deal with all of his attacks except two: his bow roulette (how do you dodge that?) and when he summons two drones and then resumes his normal pattern along with it. I've gotten close several times but always choke on the last phase :/
The bow attack is fairly simple to dodge when you've got the slightly tight timing down, you just need to dodge roll in order to avoid the arrows he fires. You need to dodge three of them before he reverts his bow back into a Keyblade.
I think it depends on your distance relative to where he is; if you keep getting far enough away from him then he'll teleport and fire which honestly makes it harder to dodge. If you stay relatively close, he'll just fire, slight pause, fire again, slight pause, and fire again. I'd honestly recommend staying on the ground during the entire fight except for what was outlined in the video, the gliding away from the drones and the second portion of his DM, as it makes his attacks a lot easier to react to and guard/dodge.
Bananas1000 Reflega spam or dodge roll. As one guy said above you can easily dodge it as soon as you get the timing right. Personally I just time it with the sound of the arrow.
i can never beat this guy mainly because his starting move is usually him locking my commands i have good equipment and i'm a high level here is wat i have: Lv 85 Strength 64 Magic 55 Defense 66 Hp 120 Mp 140 Once More and Second Chance All Keyblades except Winners Proof in my armor slots i have: Petite Ribbon Comic Belt Chaos trinket x2 in my accessories i have: Full Bloom+ Full Bloom Comic Ring Skillful Ring and i have my drives all leveled up and i equipped the Decisive Pumpkin but i still cant any suggestions?
You make this look so easy its frustrating. I seem to always have him riding on his bikeblade or doing this magic trap on me. I googled, and apparently with the magic seal you can still attack, so i have the blue thing over my head, but when i attack him he's got this bubble on him like the pirates outside of the moonlight, and just cant do any damage. Any advice would be appreciated :)
this attempt i had the attack trap where i could only cast, but again, casting on him was only giving the invulerable bubble effect and he didnt take any damage.
@@bt3iscrazy you might be hitting him during a move, I know this is old so you might have beaten him already, IIRC he LOVE using that big ass cannon move in the trap move. You can still guard so try to get close and guard it back to him so it staggers, then attack/cast away. Be wary of his revenge value, if you’re like below 60 you’ll probably hit his revenge before you break the seal.
@@bt3iscrazy also he makes this look easy because at the time of this video he has a lot of experience with this fight, like about 6-8 years of experience, with that much experience this fight becomes a lot easier than certain mob fights
Depending on the color curse. You have to either Attack when he locks magic. Or use Magic when he locks your attack. He plays keep away here so tag him with a thunder then quick run over and do a few fire spells without the finisher
The problem is that slapshot for some reason does not work for me at the end to continue the combo even though am really close to him is it the only way to finish him quickly or is there any other method?
It's really hard to tell if he is going to start off with his punch. Normally though, if you pay attention, in the last frame where it is switching from Sora to Terra, the last frame helps to predict what he is going to start off with. So, in the last frame, if he is just standing still he is going to do 1 of 2 moves. He will either try to Seal your Attack or Magic commands, or he will use his punch. The best thing to do if he is going to do 1 of those 2 moves is to mash into 2 Reflegas. If you mash into Guard when he starts off with the punch, you will get hit. Guard does not come out fast enough. The best thing to do though, if your really worried about it is to use Donald's Comet Limit. It's much safer.
If you're not close enough to him, his Ultima Cannon won't deflect and hit him in time before he does his next attack. In that case it becomes quite random if you can avoid both the explosion and his next attack
I personaly prefer to sumon Stich instead of using Forms. I meybe need longer to beat Lingering Will but Stich makes it extremely easy to stay alive and land hits. His Ukulele is so broken. But he is more suited fore a survival strategy than a quick win strategy.
After. By having at least one of each accessory/armor, you can set up your team beforehand to stand up to Terra's attacks and give yourself some extra abilities.

Makes me wish you could just come over and beat him for me because he's the last barrier left for me to get my platinum. lol
Use the fenrir strat
I swear the US version is way harder when I see the jp one and then look at mine the you wouldn't be able to use comet from the start he would have already hit you.
It's possible the Limit doesn't load in time since 2.5 English load times are slower, but if that's the case just don't do Comet at beginning and walk away + react to what he does, he only will kill/hit you with the punch that way
Bizkit047 Thanks for the guide btw.
Bizkit047 i've seen that most 2.5 users pause the game at activating a drive form, it buffers the drive form, but i doubt Square enix is going to patch the slow drive load.
XxNLjacobNL They won't patch any of the problems in 2.5. There isn't even a button to change lock on targets.
TheLegendaryZed We're talking about Square Enix after all lol
I watched this video like 3 times back-to-back. It took me about a week to learn the timing to properly block/evade every attack. About 6 months after finding you, I can beat him with little to no damage taken. Thanks for the strat!
Cool strat! You're so boss at this game.
I’m taking notes while watching this like it’s a college class lol
Interestingly enough, for some people with issues of time who don't run lvl 1, It is actually a minute faster to use the Fenrir/Negative Combo strat. Granted it's riskier
Could you maybe do a revisit to this on how to deal with Terra's other moves? I have extremely bad luck and get bike/seal most of the time, and seal is death if I don't dodge roll it in time.
Brudda has skill dayum
Dude you are an amazing player dam this is a great strat :D
tfw you finally beat lw after 2 hours and feel like a god, but then remember that this guy exists
Don't predict, he's gonna whip. THIS GUY PLAYS KH2 LIKE A PRO AND CAN MAKE BARS WHILE FIGHTING THE BOSS. I'M DEAD BEFORE I GET 2 WORDS OUT. RESPECT🔥💯😭
I beat him for the first time ever on Crit using this Strat. Thank you sir
how did he not use his magic/attack restraining spell and bike move that whole time???
Kyle Goncz basically he didn’t let him. All you have to do it reflaga it or dodge roll before it happens
Yes, you just need to not do the finisher to Ars and you can link it into a physical combo that ends with Zantesuken
Bizkit047 Thank you! I just figured out you are referring to an ability of Limit form! Appreciate you taking the time to reply.
Okay so sometimes whenever I do the 3 combos sometimes he combis out of my 3 combos like in the middle of my second combo. I'm so confused as in why??
You probably already figured out that he is not that hard if you know him well
girafferofl i beat him with no real tactic at critical and didn't even need so much time and i also didn't due very often xD
KasLPKado yeah what level were you at?
this guy beat him without any hits in less than 8 minutes, while explaining to do so, and it took me almost 25 minutes, and almost dying about 2 dozen times.
I always needed help blocking Terra's DM. Thank You
It's funny how calm he is during the fight as if Lingering Will is just some random beginning boss, but once you beat lingering Will a few times and can dodge/block any of his attacks. It's not that bad
Why isnt terra using the Magic Curse or Attack Curse in this video. This always Finishs me off and I dont knpw how to Dodge it
Gameplayer1 you have to dodge roll it, everytime he teleports dodge roll
F* this sh*t ! xD
Thx for the start' btw, great job !
Gota come back and say thanks I beat him at lv1 because of this video thank you biz
Bizkit is the Real Master of Kingdom Hearts
Also, why do you play the Japanese version rather than English?
Because he's used to the Japanese controls for the game. He's played KH2FM on PS2 for years where the confirm button is (O) and the cancel button is (X). Since he speedrun's this game so often, changing to the English setup (Confirm = X)(Cancel = O) would be a real pain to get used to after playing with the Japanese controls for roughly eight years. And the Japanese version has faster loading times.
JDCorkern Everything you said was wrong minus the last part
DemoLegends No, he's right. JP has O = attack and X = jump.
You are either misinformed, or ignorant
WOLVANG I think becuase of the game crashes and the loading screens in the English version
Foxy Maniac He bought the Japanese version before the English version had even come out. There was no way he could have even known about those crashes until he played the English version himself.
my comet halpz alot evriytim
Hey Biz, I have a question. How the heck do you survive when he brings out 2 lasers and attacks at the same time? Is guarding till they're gone the best way of doing it?
You can use reflect, or glide away.
Biz is probably the best KH player in the world.
Stephen Filer One of the best. Theres Sonicsilver, Bl00dy, Riz, Biz047, etc. But yeah they're all KH gods
holy heatless that was the coolest beans i ever seen!
If you reflect that big orb/cannon move back at him, you will only be able to full combo him 2 times until he breaks out. Maybe that's ur problem?
Exact same abilities, setup and with DP, he never loops for me. Will always use lasers, bow or Keyblade glider after a few combos. I don’t get it :(
So what do you do when Terra opens with his glider and when you hit his revenge value he teleports away and spawns two of those drone things while then doing rising sun? How do you get rid of the drones while also dealing with Terra attacking as well?
If lasers are out what I usually do is go into Limit Form and then if you get the opening, starting a Limit can destroy them. Or just doing a normal combo on Terra and using Reflect during it before they shoot works too
i finally got the platinum because of this thanks
In Need of help with the auto counter or health barrier he has after like 4/5 bars on lvl 1 any suggestions?
I cant seem to be able to do this strategy since it never seems to work. I keep getting killed by everything too easily
Are you level 99.
RyanRocker115 No, but im lvl 82 and I would think I would be strong enough to beat him. But I guess I was wrong.
In my opinion,I say the strongest Keyblade is Decisive Pumpkin.Mainly because it increases Combo strength everytime you land a hit.
he keeps summoning his lasers after my third combo Like half the time I finish it he attacks me immediately after summoning the lasers.what am I doing wrong?
UltimaPhoenix2405 nope .
I'm usually mashing 🔺️ right after the ether shortcut to prevent:
1. My ars from abruptly stopping
2. Him coming out of stagger
As a result this leads me to either underestimating when I should mash X for the snapshot or going to far and hitting forced revenge.
Thanks for the reply, I'll keep practicing
@@Bizkit047 I was practicing it for a couple hours but I had to practice the timing on the ars RC's on agrabah mushroom a couple times as a mock test. Either way I finally pulled it off.
ua-cam.com/video/7a9A14Fovh0/v-deo.html
Thanks again
Hey bizkit, is there a way to avoid terra's bike/drone attack pattern after u pass his first HP barrier or is it random. Also is there a way to get him out of his bike/drone attack pattern. I am trying to beat this guy lvl1 but I can't find a way to deal with that attack pattern.
It's a bit random to survive 2nd phase bike, but no you cannot stop him from being in that attack pattern, but a good trick I do to get past it is whip out the Limit Form looping in 2nd phase instead of last phase cuz last phase doesn't need it as much as bike phase does. Going into a Limit on Terra when he's open in Limit Form can destroy the drones too, and if not then you can try reverting and doing normal combos with Reflect when they shoot during your combo to stagger Terra more
Thanks bizkit
i'd already beat this guy on critical mode , but why its so hard on standard mode ? his moving patterns completely unpredictable.
+Fardinza Machmud tosapati He's the same on all difficulties. You just have to learn the patterns.
He didn't do his attacks in the same order he did in Biz's video for me. You just do what Biz does when he performs a certain attack.
not entirely sure but I think on critical mode you do more damage even on lvl 1
TheNinjaArmy Yes that’s true in critical mode you do 1x more damage to foes but you take 2x more damage so it makes it easier in some way.
w0ng™ doing 1x more damage does not btw
Thank you for the tutorial. Unfortunately I have tried many times at him but my reactions are just to slow for this boss or any data fights.
Dolan's limit isnt available at the beginning... ever. I mash triangle, its not there. I wait to see if mashing it too much makes it unavailable, i still cant use it. Help plz
LlamaMommaDrama make sure auto limit for Donald is on .
How come all the speed runners always play in Japanese?
Sway It's faster.
There aren't any differences in speed for any of the HD versions of KH2FM, as far as I know.
with Japanese text vs English they, Japanese, can say a lot more with a lot less when it comes to the text boxes.
Pretty sure the only reason Biz is playing in Japanese is because he imported it before it came out in English. That's all.
Imagine if Lingering Will was this op when you played as him in BBS, rather than the fight you play as him being the hardest story fight in the game.
so i get terra into second phase and then he immidietly goes into bike (which is fine becausebi know how to block it) but as soin as i start attacking him bexause hes voulnurable he goes into second bike but this time with blizzard... what should i do
terra using blizzard is apparently rare. i've never seen him use it ever when fighting him. two methods that could work is maybe glide out of the way a,d hope for the best he doesn't hit you, or dodge roll spam out of the way. you could try guarding, but i'm not sure what good that is against the blizzard attacks since there's some attacks in the game that are unblockable with guard, such as roxas' light pillars, etc.
aultinbarltino Terra uses blizzaga and magnega when you are being too defensive in conjunction with his glider attack rush.
jcast39atmsn oh? i see.
So keep combo I Terra for three times, dodge his attacks then repeat?
been playing this game since the ps2 days. its 2017 and I just now learned about the revenge system...how did I beat this game?0-o
You don't HAVE to know about RV to beat the game or handle the super bosses, it just helps a ton to know. If you have Second Chance/Once More/Leaf Bracer, you can ignore RV a lot if you're good at survival skills
Did they data mine the game to find that thuer was a revenge value or did someone just figure it out?
No, it just became evident for people who payed closer attention that learning they break out of combos at different times depending on how you combo and testing how many hits things were and such
Bizkit047 i didn't know either before i watched you XD
I saw the bubbles when you talked to him, what happen if you reject his challenge, does that mean you can freely walk around the badlands without him kicking your butt (I really want to make a picture with sora standing next to lingering will as he’s kneeling on the ground)
It's a cutscene.. you can only reject before the portal
Why do you play on the japanese version ? It's sometimes quite difficult to know which stuff or abilites you're using ^^
I'm having problems looping him does it matter what his starting move is I did it one and did the fight without breaking out of his loop I don't know why he keeps breaking out
grant patrick If he does the bike move at any point before the last phase, he can't be looped properly during it, so it's random.
The Neg-combo strat is much faster but it's more fun farming him this way.
Is this tactic valid for Critical? Because on critical Terra penetrates me AF.. :) But thanks anyway!
i think i will try the fenrir neg-combo strat... sounds saver!
wurmi32 But it makes the battle so boring! :(
mudkipman98
i died more times then i can count. so fuck it. im going to get revenge and kick Terras ass!
cant u do this with marluxia
So pausing when you're transforming cancels out the 'pause' for lack of a better word?
Yeah
Well and what should i do if he bans the attack command right at the beginning of the fight ? Just block or dodge everything and poke with thunder ?
Doing Auto Limit with Dolan prevents getting sealed at the beginning. If you do get sealed after that though, Terra becomes less aggressive after a seal so you just have to wait until he's open, either from a jump, Rising Sun, or Ultima Cannon to go in to break the seal
+Bizkit047 Thanks i'll try that later :)
Ever hear of the Dolan meme?
As far as I can tell it's a meme where everything is spelled wrong and drawn horribly. I guess it's funny because there's so little effort put into them and yet there are so many.
+Patrick Griesdorn you could also go limit form and use limit attacks
+Ryan Compton You'll have a easier time doing that, with proper set ups and strategies your magic damage can be really insane (especially with drive forms) most the time the combo the magic combo you use should be switched up depending on the boss fight :D
you're a magic user *-*, I can't say I'm really a magic user, but I'm kind of a hybrid.
Which keyblade do you use?
Keegan Rhode
Does he always teleport before he fires his first shot?
I think it depends on your distance relative to where he is; if you keep getting far enough away from him then he'll teleport and fire which honestly makes it harder to dodge. If you stay relatively close, he'll just fire, slight pause, fire again, slight pause, and fire again.
I'd honestly recommend staying on the ground during the entire fight except for what was outlined in the video, the gliding away from the drones and the second portion of his DM, as it makes his attacks a lot easier to react to and guard/dodge.
Keegan Rhode
Alright, I'll watch for it next time
Bananas1000 Reflega spam or dodge roll. As one guy said above you can easily dodge it as soon as you get the timing right. Personally I just time it with the sound of the arrow.
how did you get your ribbons? i only have one ribbon, the ribbon plus "/
i can never beat this guy mainly because his starting move is usually him locking my commands i have good equipment and i'm a high level here is wat i have:
Lv 85
Strength 64
Magic 55
Defense 66
Hp 120
Mp 140
Once More and Second Chance
All Keyblades except Winners Proof
in my armor slots i have:
Petite Ribbon
Comic Belt
Chaos trinket x2
in my accessories i have:
Full Bloom+
Full Bloom
Comic Ring
Skillful Ring
and i have my drives all leveled up and i equipped the Decisive Pumpkin but i still cant any suggestions?
Ok ill do that
Thx that will help a lot your bossing this game
I don’t know if it’s because mines a different version, but terra for me doesn’t follow any of those patterns
If you're farming Lingering Will for Manifest Illusions why not just use the Fenrir Strat, I feel it's just a waste of time to fight him any other way
You can't always rely on that strat if you don't have Negative Combo on Sora yet (not high enough level or LV1)
well of course, you can't just use Fenrir you gotta use Negative Combo too, but yea I get what you mean about the LV1 thing
The problem is that slapshot for some reason does not work for me at the end to continue the combo even though am really close to him is it the only way to finish him quickly or is there any other method?
Abdulrahman AM There is an easier way but it's not challenging at all, Terra literally cannot move while you beat the crap out of him.
you mean the fenrir method, anyway it doesn't matter now cause I know how to beat him now without limit form.
Abdulrahman AM Good on ya
I hate when he starts off with his punch combo move lol
u only have to block or dodge roll lmao
You can't see it coming though so you don't know if he is doing curse or punch so the best bet is just reflega spam
+Anthony O'Connor watch soraalam1's video about how he starts what's his moves it's call boss busters
oh i know how to dodge it fine now just like honestly reflect or dodge roll really but thanks
Im stuck because half the time when I guard his ultima cannon, he'll just fly around me, so im stuck with it flying around
If you're not close enough to him, his Ultima Cannon won't deflect and hit him in time before he does his next attack. In that case it becomes quite random if you can avoid both the explosion and his next attack
did you make a tutorial for this boss?
This is real keyblade mastery.
I just always have problems quickly getting into correct Drive Forms. It's always slowing me down. I should probably practice that.
if u go to where it says "limit form" get it highlighted then exit menu, its instantly short cutted
I personaly prefer to sumon Stich instead of using Forms. I meybe need longer to beat Lingering Will but Stich makes it extremely easy to stay alive and land hits. His Ukulele is so broken. But he is more suited fore a survival strategy than a quick win strategy.
Would you suggest I do this before it after I syntheses everything
After. By having at least one of each accessory/armor, you can set up your team beforehand to stand up to Terra's attacks and give yourself some extra abilities.
His attack curse keeps tripping me up,
I mange to get him close, but then i get hit with the curse, and it just goes downhill from there ;~;
