When I was a kid playing this for the first time I was having a really hard time with Xigbar. I kept dying and dying over and over again and one time I went into a drive and got anti form and beat him with it. Made me feel like a shonen anime character using their secret curse power, like Ichigo or Naruto. Maybe thats a little cringey but its one of my fondest video game memories.
I love how everyone had an awesome moment with anti-form that helped them beat a boss, but meanwhile I activate it on mr. "Dance water dance" and I just wanted to bang my head against a wall.
honestly one of my favorite parts about the form is that all sora voice clips are outright muted as you're in the form. It really helps add to the mystery factor of the form and gives a very ominous feeling. Like this is probably one of the only times sora uses darkness in a fight and it completely changes his personality. He's just fixated on fighting and nothing else. Pretty cool if you ask me.
The Scarlet Shepherd it’s cause he’s a heartless essentially in anti form and it’s caused by the slight bit of darkness left in him from when he turned into a shadow
Yeah, I always wanted the story of kh2 to acknowledge the different forms. Like after certain cutscenes where you get the forms, I wanted some explanation as to each form, especially anti and final.
I only recently learned, interestingly enough, that the Magnet spell deals "dark" type damage to enemies (the same element that a Midnight Anklet would resist, for example)
@@KristoKorps A little late lol, but in-game it's explained Valor, Wisdom, and Master forms are activated through harnessing his bonds with Goofy, Donald, and Mickey respectively. Final Form is only able to be activated after the Roxas fight and is a silver appearance like the nobodies, so it likely refers to Sora's newfound knowledge of Roxas in him and being able to tap into that strength which gives him ultimate mastery over the keyblades (Having the strength of two keyblade wielders in one body*). Anti Form happens likely because Sora has no control over his inner darkness like say, Riku. And it's a big reason why he fails to become a Keyblade Master while Riku succeeds. Sora has yet to confront his inner darkness. *Of course, after KH2, Ventus makes that concept a little weirder but, the sentiment is the same.
I’m weird because back when I played the original KH2 this was my favorite form. I got it one time, ruined a boss, and never knew how to trigger it again. So thank you for this handy guide on abusing my favorite mechanic. Well not you, person I replied to. That last sentence was aimed at Bizkit.
It's weird how they made Anti Form a "countermeasure" to "drive abuse" so players wouldn't rely on it, only to make the Final Form transformation not only immune to randomly going Anti Form, but also reducing the Anti Form count by a lot. Basically "We don't want players abusing drive forms, except Final Form. Abuse the f*** outta that!".
Still more pros than cons. Even for the other forms, they're *supposed* to give you an advantage. Seems weird to add a countermeasure to that, especially when the forms themselves aren't invincible and do have their own drawbacks that require you to know how to use the form well to overcome.
shadowdarkria I figured anti form was a good thing to have when I first played KH2, it’s unbelievably fun to play and when you can learn to avoid attacks, it doesn’t matter if you take more damage.
It's my favorite as well, but I've always been one to like speed over power and anti-Sora is the fastest form in the game. It's honestly the best form for speed runs in my opinion.
I never really got used to Sora's anti form so I usually get hit whenever I'm doing a combo. Other than that, if i attempted to learn how to use it, it'd be my favorite form. The attacks are epic and fast.
If anyone's not familiar with 'scripted' fights, you can tell that you have the 2x multiplier from it because the command menu is red. Normally, it is yellow in regular (x1) fights.
+xxx RedBlueGiG I'm going to be a bit nitpicky here. Usually that's the case, but a red Command Menu actually means you currently cannot escape from the battle you are in. Hades Escape is the one case where you're in a scripted fight but the Command Menu can be yellow. It just so happens that every scripted fight but that one is a fight you can't escape from. Anyway, like I said, I'm just being a bit nitpicky. So, yeah. :P
5x multiplier in Org. fights? That pretty much guarantees death against fast reaction or RC bosses like Larxene and Zexion. I knew trying to pop Wisdom against the crazy lightning woman was a bad idea.
I actually love anti form, it's fast and powerful but frail as all hell I've always loved speedy powerhouses and high risk high reward. I just wish there was a way to transform willingly.
KH2FM, including 2.5 and 1.5+2.5 have the Two Become One keyblade, which will make you go Antiform any time you try to use something that isn't Final, and will make Final come out faster
I thought would be covered but apparently no one pays attention to this. When you choise a drive form, lock on to a target, that usually helps you go into Anti form a lot easily
About the only other thing I'd mention is how your antipoints get refunded to you if you die in battle after getting antiform. Since everything in the game reverts to the last time you zoned into a room, your anti points are reverted too. So people tend to get stuck in the tough fights and wonder why they get antiform 10 times in a row. Well it's cause that 5 point reduction for going anti didn't actually stick.
+Tsmith0142 I didn't figure that was worth mentioning because it's usually obvious to people who pay attention, since people who do menus before fights tend to have to do them over if they die and Continue, implying that everything gets "reset".
Bizkit047 other cons that were not mentioned was that anti can't gain experience (for Sora) you said no healing but you also can pick up mp drive and munny but not hp orbs and speaking of orbs drive orbs drain Anti's remaining from gauge instead of increase it
I don't mind using anti form. I just pretend it's sora giving in to his darkness / rage where he can't think straight, witch explains why he can't use any items or commands.
Every copy of Kingdom hearts should come with a *_"Bizkit047 tutorial manual"_* , since you are explaining all the useful shit Square keeps hiding from us xD Many thanks!
He already has Kh2fm explanation vids on pretty much everything casuals should know including synth guides, data org strats, and a very detailed keyblade guide. These and much more BTW.
+TheChaosTrigger This gets requested so much I may just do that vid. Only issue is I'm not super knowledgeable with every single Limit (though I do know almost all well), but testing isn't that hard anyway
Bizkit047 I'm mainly interested in it because of how speed runners like you use limits throughout your runs, as you seem to completely ignore some and use others mainly for their utility.
rabbidguy5 It's not that it's MEANT to get you killed... It's just that they're there to prove much more of a challenge. Besides, not every boss has reaction commands. For example, Anti-Form would be pretty good against something like the 1000 heartless fight, or (To an extent) Vexen.
Yeahhh, anti form is meant to get you killed. Hence it being a mechanical punishment to abusing drives. That said I can only think of like one or two story bosses that come close to being doable in anti-form. Pretty much all of the org fights would be borderline impossible minus Xigbar.
I actually would prefer if anti form was an ability we could grind like the other forms in the game and obtain its growth ability. And some of it’s cool attack’s just saying.
Sounds about right. People not expecting anti form showing up in a boss fight usually go "ah f-" and panic when it turns south since you can't heal. Organization Members especially boost the chances of it ruining your fun. That being said, sometimes going crazy on the foe may be just what you need, and anti form does deliver, but with high risk of getting hit
I had the guidebook for this game as a kid and remember reading about all the Limit forms. When I got to Anti-Form and saw the words "The more you use Forms, the higher your chance of receiving Anti-Form becomes", I naturally only reserved Forms for Boss Fights and nothing else.
Great explanations, I'll be sure to share this with people who don't get everything about Anti-form. One side note though: Even though Sora is alone during the Cerberus Cup in Olympus Coliseum, Anti-Form is still available.
+MeteorFalcon I remember getting screwed on the last cup when you are by yourself and you can go into any drive form. Trying to take on Leon & Cloud at the same time while in Anti-Form is hell.
yo biz i found a wierd glitch in the demyx fight when he was doing his second water clone attack i apparently skipped it using trinity idk how but apparently as soon as he said dance water dance i was in the middle of the trinity finish and i skipped it I tried doing it again but it didnt work do you know anything about this?
Yup, you can 100% get anti-form in the Cerberus Cup, even without Two Becomes One. I've definitely gone anti in that cup. I think since you can access all forms, the game might consider you to have two invisible, invincible party members or something. I wonder if the Cerberus Cup also affects the point counter, meaning you could spam Final Form and Retry in the cup to artificially lower you points to zero (you could do that by returning to World Map anyway, but loading screens in 2.5 are a mess).
Wish Antiform didnt have such weak damage resistance. It's just so flipping cool. Btw.. **Possible spoilers below!!** ..didnt that form originate from Soras time as a heartless in the first game?
I think they didn't add in a counter because they wanted players to think getting anti form was a random event. But I remember when I was playing I was always scared I would get anti form when I went into drive so sometimes I would avoid it in hard fights. A counter would have been good.
oh, that feeling... isn't it cool? would be ruined with a stupid counter. mistery and fear made just by a possibility to get anti... so goddam cool when i was a kid
thereaperSC2 It makes sense but even if did finish of 3 hard bosses I still am piss because I don't number I'm at and I want to level up my forms for cavern of Remembrance!
Kareem Codling if u go in drive form OUTSIDE of a combat, no anti points will be added, so if you want to level up forms, make sure to go in that specific form before enemies spawn, like in a safezone. that way you will not increase your chances of getting anti, also if you have final form, spam it a couple of time and your anti points will drop to 0.
i got to admit that this form has actually saved my ass a few times the most memorable one being the second fight with Dimnix (i think it's dymnix. The "Dance Water Dance" dude. it's been over 10+ years back with the original KH2 for PS2 the last time i played) I was low on time with defeating his water clones and meant to go to the magic menu to cast a heal and accidentally hit the transform to valor turned into anti and thought i had just lost the fight and had to start over when i attacked and realized. "Anti form attacks absurdly fast and has a big aoe combo finisher" killed the last five clones and stun locked the boss for the entire last two health bares he had. From that point on i looked foreword to getting anti form for the other bosses in every game i played since and every time i get it i always end up wreaking the boss whenever i do. It's just so much fun combo locking a boss to death with anti XD.
It's worth mentioning that Anti-form's attacks are a mixture of neutral and dark elemental, so it can bypass physical resistant enemies (it's also the only way Sora can deal dark damage).
I was looking for this comment. It doesn't really matter but it's worth knowing that neutral damage is different than physical damage and can kill Demyx's water clones pretty easily
The times where Anti shows up more often are (almost) all based on the game's lore. There's a chance that when you draw upon Sora's connections, you might accidentally draw from Roxas. Since Roxas' darkness is what created the Heartless from 1 (not Sora, contrary to popular belief) you take on the form of that heartless. This is also why 2->1 always puts you into anti: his pull on your drive is so high that you always become the heartless. Roxas will get angry if he sees an Org boss and he get's furious if he sees Xemnas because of how they hurt him. As for why it won't show up when you have less or special teammates... I'm going to assume that's for technical reasons. The game takes your party away during anti so there's a high chance for ACE-level exploits if the system to give them back somehow went off the rails off a bad assumption.
i got Anti-Form when i was battling oogie on accident when i pressed on valor form. I was only 9 at the time when i played on the ps2 so i thought it was some kind of glitch
if memory serves, kh-vids has a code that allows you to use magic and items in anti form. not being able to do physical combo finishers kind of stinks but at least magic can offset that. not sure about RC's though, maybe that code that lets roxas use sora RCs could be modified.
That would be broken. You have lowered defence and can't heal for a reason. Also tell me, if he couldn't use finishers how did he kill Shan-Yu at 7:37?
They should've put anti form as a drive option at end game so you could use it but it's different from the random anti form e.g. Heartless keyblade and slightly different in appearance
Your videos and streams helped me a lot when trying to obtain all Kingdom Hearts-related trophies on the PS3. Thank you for that, I'd love to see more guides/in-depth videos in the future!
I wish Anti-Form will become part of the story one day. I think it could be cool if Sora turns into an antagonist, even if very briefly, and you have to fight him as Riku. That would be awesome. XD
Your KH videos are always so in-depth and I found it so interesting to find out more information regarding AF that I didn't know, already. Awesome video!
Bizkit, I knew most of this stuff in the video, but your videos are always so enjoyable to watch. It's great to see a KH fan so dedicated to the series, and even KH2 specifically. Keep posting videos man! You are also my favorite speed runner.
Shame that when I first played KH2, Anti Form was dope af and I got super stoked when I got it so the point of it was totally lost to me. KEEP UP THE DRIVE ABUSE
I have to ask, for curiosity's sake; In the cutscene where Sora first receives his Drive Forms early in the game, does him going Valor Form in the cutscene count towards the Antipoint total?
The rage form in kh3 makes me happy cuz in 5th grade all I wanted was to play kh2 only in anti form and having it so easily available and actually not too bad in kh3 fulfilled my wishes
Am i the only one who thinks anti form is cool? It fits me well I am a player who: - wants high damage characters - wants high attack speed and combo characters - wants high speed movement - doesn't really care about defense and prefer avoiding enemy's attacks - rarely use magic
For me, anti form was a blessing for me before I got final form. And I was somewhat a pro at using anti form. Now I have more info on anti form. Thanks m8 and my your heart be your guiding key
In my first playthrought I was having a dificult time dealing with Xaldin. In one try he was beating me, king Mickey saved me one time, and, in a desperation move, a activate the antiform. That form was new to me, it felt so epic, it was as if Sora was at his limit. That time I almost defeated Xaldin. Thats why I find the antiform soo cool.
i used to find it very therapeutic when he transformed into this. It lets out a certain feeling of bloodlust during battle to be a bazerk feral creature that attack with it's hands LOL. I used to spam the hell out of the drive forms. And that's why I love Kingdom Hearts 2 so much being able to express so many different emotions while playing a video game.
Juan Pimentel it pretty much is (spoiler if you didn't play the first game) sora releases his heart with rikus keyblade to put kairis heart back with her as their hearts were the same at the time, and sora gets turned into a shadow. After that he gets turned back, but the heartless form still lingered within. Because of soras new clothes' abilities (Valor, Limit, Wisdom, Master, and Final form) the heartless form now has a way to release itself once again, but sora has control as the form is just coming from the magic imbued in the clothes. so to shorten that it is is heartless form
I would’ve liked to be able to have it be unlockable like the other forms after defeating ‘X’ amount of certain enemies from getting it randomly, then after unlocking it you’d no longer have to worry about it randomly popping up, while still being able to use it whenever you want. And probably level it up by killing Neo-Shadows.
I'm not going to say this guy is wrong about Sora's Anti Form but he's still missing so many cool aspects about it. Take it's origin for instance. It first appeared in KHI when Sora sacrificed his life to rescue Kairi from Riku when he was tainted by the darkness. Sora gets turned into a Heartless but his Will is still intact. This Anti Form is that Heartless Sora reincarnated. It's abilities are also very unique. It may be week in defense and magic but it makes up for it in speed and strength. It takes Sora's basic speed and strength and nearly doubles it. Equip accessories that boost its defense, speed, and strength and it can even beat Sora's Final Form.
While I understood the purpose of Anti-Form, it ended up somehow becoming my favorite. For people like me, that "drive abuse" was more of a means to an end. It makes sense to take more damage compared to any other form, but trading off defense for unmatched movement and attack speed, and deflect on many of your attacks (which in all my years of playing I somehow never noticed) and even a powerful AOE finisher for light wave clear feels more like a grand gamble for power. The first time I triggered Anti-Form facing a boss along with waves of heartless, I can only compare the rush of energy and excitement to grabbing the Super Shotgun in DooM II and slaughtering a group of imps in one fell swoop. I can recall using Action Replay to hack Anti-Form as a selectable form years ago and having a blast for the whole day. I just wish there was a unique section of the story dedicated to it, like a boss fight and lore filled with internal conflict.
I liked the fact that they did not tell you about it, when the game came out we did have DSL internet but the net was not as filled with information on every subject as it was today. So "have you seen the forum will Sora becomes a heartless?" was a cool topic to debate about with those in your class that had played the game.
I have a stupid and incredibly improbable question. If you popped Final Form right before defeating an Org. battle, and you win the battle with it, would that count as 1 experience point towards leveling Final Form? What about with Wisdom Form and Heartless bosses?
Huh. It would take quite a bit of patience, but it would be interesting to go through the whole game to see if any Disney bosses or non Heartless/Nobody (like Experiment) were accidentally given the tags for Heartless or Nobody
Bizkit047 Thanks for the response, and that is a hell of a thing. I suppose that could count for Data battles as well? That gives me a few interesting, albeit terrible ideas.
I had no idea. I was wondering why I kept getting Anti form. It got to a point where I thought the game was glitched because I also thought that Anti form was a form you can choose from like all the other forms. I literally only used my forms so I could level them throughout the game. I never relied on my forms to win battles... Actually only on those organization fights in the Absent Silhouettes. But thank you! I don’t play games often but this game is really fun. Your video was very informational :)
when i was a kid i would see kids cheat using gameshark to get anti form but i didnt know it was a cheat so i tried getting anti form 20 times to see if maybe it would appear after a while in my drive list and i could level it up but as you can probably imagine, i ended up very disappointed
I love Anti-Form. It's this sudden shift, and now the fight is this maddeningly fast punch up, where you have to know exactly how Sora is going to move in order to survive. I already knew the point system, so I would actually game it before some fights, specifically so I could fight them in Anti-Form. It does a ton of damage if you understand the way you'll move, and know the attacks of the enemy well enough to dodge.
The attacks depend on what button you press (there is a attack you do with square in middle of combo) and it also depends on your position. If there are multiple enemies around you the antiform will for example use a finisher that hits as a AoE etc.
find it funny that every other kingdom hearts character gets completely slaughtered in the plot if they try to use the power of darkness but sora can just do it whenever he feels like it
“No abusing drive forms, or you might go anti form” Except by the end of the game valor form is nigh useless compared to just plain ol’ sora. And wisdom form lost it’s punch the moment master was unlocked. Which Master was useless the moment Final was unlocked. Which prevents going Anti Form, and also lowers the chance from then on. Nifty.
+Meshack McDaniel It is possible with devices such as Codebreaker by putting in the "All drives" code, he might have grabbed the save off the internet that had this code activated or something like that.
Anti Form may have a lot of disadvantages compared to other forms but man,it's fun as h3ll. His attacks are fast and satisfying to do,it's also cool how he looks and acts exactly like a Heartless I wished he could guard, and heal in the same way Limit form does. It would also be nice if he can do RC in that form, would be even cooler if the anti form has its own RC animation. It's also unfortunate how you can't use items nor magic in that form. Think about it,imagine if Anti form has its own magic attacks, that would be so damn cool It's a cool and fun form but has a lot of missed potential. Not to mention,it locks you behind a lot of stuff and considering how many of the enemies rely heavily on RC,we're pretty much defenseless against the majority of enemies and bosses ...Then again,it was made to be a *punishment* so it makes sense but yea,I still kinda wished it was a bit more fair and useful
I was always annoyed by anti-form because it also punished players like me who rarely if ever used Drive Forms. I get they needed balance them but it was never a good way to do that imho.
2:24 I thought the theory is because they are Disney characters, therefore anti form is not possible, since if I recall correctly, there is no third party member in the barbossa fight
*how I felt when using anti form for the first time* 😆AAAWWWWWW SHIT NIGGAAAAAAA!!! *how I feel using anti form now* 😫GOD FUCKING DAMN IT!!! THIS IS NOT THE TIME FOR THAT!!!
i really like the quick run/ dodge thing anti form does. i wish it was obtainable as an ability. i also really hope KH3 has a drive form mechanic. really made the game exciting for me growing up.
@0:28 It proves nothing but an arbitrary limitation put in place for player who heavily rely on drive form usage. Some people might call it abuse but those people probably call war freedom and criticism hate.
I’ve basically found that if you use the same form like 3-4 times in a row or something to that effect it usually guarantees you anti-form. Maybe I’m wrong but I would ALMOST always predict it when it happened. Normally I would have used, let’s say, wisdom form probably 4 out of 5 times within a relatively short window and then, bam, right on cue it would just happen. You can also tell when it’s gonna happen because it pauses just a tick longer during the drive transformation.
-Damage output is not too bad **Flashbacks of me doing literally zero damage to The Experiment in Christmas Town via Anti-Form** Maybe if you have a ridiculous amount of strength... but until then, Anti-Form doesn’t have a damage floor, so you can potentially deal a bit fat 0 damage if you’re not high leveled enough, depending on the boss. Bosses like Xigbar might have low enough defense that Anti-Form would still work, but armored bosses would probably just not even feel it. The parry frames are nice though, and if you can deal damage, it will hurt.
"to prevent misuse of the forms" have to object to that as I used the forms like 3 or 4 times in total in the whole game and still everytime I have to fight against Xigbar I enter into anti form EVERY SINGLE TIME (doesn't matter which form I use).... Never in my life have I used any form in the Xigbar fight (even if I wanted to) because the game would always, and I really mean always, put me into anti form. I still have to laugh when it happens :D "Hello darkness my old friend"
It's impossible to get Anti in any fight if you've only used 3-4 forms the entire playthrough. The video explains when it's possible and how to lessen Anti Form
Calling me a liar then? I didn't use the forms much cause I'm not liking them much and I really like playing it without them but ok then. It's impossible and it's still happening to me. Maybe I'm a miracle. By the way this happens to my friend too, but what do we know right? Still have a nice day :)
Did you not watch the video? The video clearly explains the mechanics. It is IMPOSSIBLE to go Anti Form if your points are 0-4 unless you equip Two Become One Keyblade. If your points are 5-9 then you have a base 10% chance, and x5 would make it 50% chance on Xigbar. You are not a miracle, you just don't know the mechanics and did not obviously keep track of how many times you actually went into a Drive. We NEVER get Anti Form on Xigbar in speedruns, because we know how to avoid it by using Drives a low amount of times
Most of the info in this video has been known since KH2 original release from official guides, and the rest is known from testing. If you Google Search "Anti Form" you'll see most of the info easily.
In normal Crit runs we avoid it by knowing how Anti Points work. Only in LV1 you have a chance of getting it once randomly, and in that one fight it's actually faster to get it
Random Weeb why wouldn't speedrunners know the counter? lol there's a reasons why they don't show u! so ppl won't abuse it by either avoid it or use it!
Anti form doesn't heal Sora with each strike not like limit form limit attack & chicken little since those two have an HP gain attack to it as you strike a foe.
@@keybladewar22 really? That’s strange. Each time I took that form my heal recovered rapidly and by the time I left it, I was normally back to full health.
@@ShadowSuperWolf I am positive that anti form can not give Sora health back as he strikes because that would be pointless to call it a form that punishes the player for only relying on drive forms if you are going to get hp back as you attack. You can't pick up health orbs or go to the pause menu even if you are out of the battle but instead will just show what you can't do in Antiform when you pause the game. Only time you will restore health is by going into any form which automatically gives Sora all his health back. When you revert Sora does not regain his HP back unless Donald happen to heal you after you returned back to base Sora is probably why you were at full health as Sora reverted but I can guarantee he can't be healed in that form since you lose access to your allies & can't pickup hp orbs. Now limit form give Sora HP back when ever his limit attacks land since limit form has the HP gain ability & chicken little has a built-in HP gain letting Sora attacks restore his HP with every strike. So Anti Form is a form that punishes the player & makes the player really be on edge while in that form with no help except having a decent parry window for deflecting back projectiles or just parry in general.
Exactly
I feel with you.
Xigbar was totally kill my mind. The anti form takes out the shit from him haha
I had a feeling Anti form would really help with his fight. I'm stuck on him rn so I'm thinking of trying it on him
I love how everyone had an awesome moment with anti-form that helped them beat a boss, but meanwhile I activate it on mr.
One track mind
*Of course, after KH2, Ventus makes that concept a little weirder but, the sentiment is the same.
it is satisfying as hell when you kill a boss with this form.
I agree! It's so satisfying when you kill them after like a 15-20 hit combo!
Loved this form
yeah like this form was UNCALLED FOR
to beat the shit out of someone under this damned form is just great. way to change a curse into luck.
I love the form. Sora just turns into a Savage beast and ravages his prey. Really fun to use.
I counted. You said "Anti Form" a grand total of 69 times in this video.
It had to be that number
Looks like i'm taking 69 shots...
i'm gonna die.
AND THAT'S SUPPOSED TO BE A COINCIDENCE.
+deathslicers say goodbye to ur liver
zack miller his video would make a good meme
It's weird how they made Anti Form a "countermeasure" to "drive abuse" so players wouldn't rely on it, only to make the Final Form transformation not only immune to randomly going Anti Form, but also reducing the Anti Form count by a lot.
Basically "We don't want players abusing drive forms, except Final Form. Abuse the f*** outta that!".
Shinku no Yami I mean you also don't get final until the last world so at that point why not
zealot246 but fights like Lingering will it would hella useful
what?
but final requires the most amount of drive gauge, drains the fastest, and requires for both of your party members to be alive.
Still more pros than cons. Even for the other forms, they're *supposed* to give you an advantage. Seems weird to add a countermeasure to that, especially when the forms themselves aren't invincible and do have their own drawbacks that require you to know how to use the form well to overcome.
im not going to lie anti-form is one of my favorite forms
shadowdarkria I figured anti form was a good thing to have when I first played KH2, it’s unbelievably fun to play and when you can learn to avoid attacks, it doesn’t matter if you take more damage.
The attacks are epic and fast.
shadowdarkria same
Wish i had a toy of It
LMAO when i was a kid, i hit that gauge and go into anti form I go like OHHHHHHHHHHHHH YO BRO U GOTTA COME AND SEE THIS
I see
saem
Hahahahahahahahahah me too😁
Heheh.
I'm 34 and the first time I got that I acted similarly. I also thought it was more powerful the first few times.
If anyone's not familiar with 'scripted' fights, you can tell that you have the 2x multiplier from it because the command menu is red. Normally, it is yellow in regular (x1) fights.
[squints] bestest?
perkypears Gosh, even here? I guess it's something to 'be proud' of.
So, yeah. :P
+xxx RedBlueGiG i finished this game 8 times and i never noticed...
5x multiplier in Org. fights? That pretty much guarantees death against fast reaction or RC bosses like Larxene and Zexion. I knew trying to pop Wisdom against the crazy lightning woman was a bad idea.
so they dont want you to overuse the forms yet they expect you to grind each of them up to their max level.
Alucard The Grey id say anti form is just there just cuz its fun to have every once and a while
Edward Dizon It's not fun though... It's annoying.
Sҽphιroтн安哥拉 thats just an opinion though, i think its very fun to use and makes it a but more challenging, but thats just my opinion
when your grinding forms you usually transform before fighting anything so its a complete non issue
Captain Cookie it also makes some boss fights literally impossible
I actually love anti form, it's fast and powerful but frail as all hell I've always loved speedy powerhouses and high risk high reward. I just wish there was a way to transform willingly.
KH2FM, including 2.5 and 1.5+2.5 have the Two Become One keyblade, which will make you go Antiform any time you try to use something that isn't Final, and will make Final come out faster
I thought would be covered but apparently no one pays attention to this. When you choise a drive form, lock on to a target, that usually helps you go into Anti form a lot easily
Kevin Frazier Uhhh.... where did you get that information from? Is that even confirmed?
Kevin Frazier Placebo.
Nova 4554 there is if you have the two become one keyblade and already got final form then you get always anti form
Bizkit047 other cons that were not mentioned was that
anti can't gain experience (for Sora)
you said no healing but you also can pick up mp drive and munny but not hp orbs
and speaking of orbs drive orbs drain Anti's remaining from gauge instead of increase it
I don't mind using anti form. I just pretend it's sora giving in to his darkness / rage where he can't think straight, witch explains why he can't use any items or commands.
Crystal Clod no need to pretend when that's the truth
That's what I always thought, the little darkness in his heart just taking over for awhile.
I Cant Walk after kh3, it’s actually sora giving in to his rage as it’s called rage form on kh3
Every copy of Kingdom hearts should come with a *_"Bizkit047 tutorial manual"_* , since you are explaining all the useful shit Square keeps hiding from us xD
Many thanks!
Yeah, even Bizkit has the voice of a instructor.
That could work too.
yeah, he's really good
You should do more like this bring some knowledge to casuals like me about KH mechanics
He already has Kh2fm explanation vids on pretty much everything casuals should know including synth guides, data org strats, and a very detailed keyblade guide. These and much more BTW.
+Onyx Squad All he's missing is a video about character limits, then we'd have the complete Prima Bizkit047 guide.
+Onyx Squad yea I know I used one two beat the data org it was very helpful
+TheChaosTrigger This gets requested so much I may just do that vid. Only issue is I'm not super knowledgeable with every single Limit (though I do know almost all well), but testing isn't that hard anyway
Bizkit047 I'm mainly interested in it because of how speed runners like you use limits throughout your runs, as you seem to completely ignore some and use others mainly for their utility.
Imagine if cutscenes kept you in Anti-Form like with the other drive forms. That'd be amusing.
Sora would be dead silent, though
I was getting my ass kicked by Xigbar the other day and on like the 7th try, I got anti form but that actually allowed me to win ._.
epatha surprisingly enough I was able to beat xaldin with anti-form
it is a great form when needed
As someone who likes attacking fast, moving fast, and being the only character to worry about?... This is, oddly enough, the form for me. :D
Supapretzel Jenkins. yeah but no reaction commands and double damage taken is meant get you killed
rabbidguy5 It's not that it's MEANT to get you killed... It's just that they're there to prove much more of a challenge. Besides, not every boss has reaction commands. For example, Anti-Form would be pretty good against something like the 1000 heartless fight, or (To an extent) Vexen.
You must use Reaction Command if Vexen freezes you
El Reino de Lalo
That's why I said 'To an extent'.
It really makes me laugh how the whole time you're talking, Sora is being repeatedly murdered in the background
Probably more than he should XD
+MeteorFalcon I never tested the cups, they probably follow different rules, could be interesting to look into
+MeteorFalcon I remember getting screwed on the last cup when you are by yourself and you can go into any drive form.
+Jesus Romero (TheMessiah) Why didn't you just finish the fight and called yourself lucky?
Yup, you can 100% get anti-form in the Cerberus Cup, even without Two Becomes One. I've definitely gone anti in that cup. I think since you can access all forms, the game might consider you to have two invisible, invincible party members or something. I wonder if the Cerberus Cup also affects the point counter, meaning you could spam Final Form and Retry in the cup to artificially lower you points to zero (you could do that by returning to World Map anyway, but loading screens in 2.5 are a mess).
is mayonnaise an anti form?
a man of culture No.
No man of culture mayonnaise is not an anti form
FINLAND!!!!!!
No Patrick, mayonnaise is not an anti form.

Wish Antiform didnt have such weak damage resistance. It's just so flipping cool. Btw.. **Possible spoilers below!!**
..didnt that form originate from Soras time as a heartless in the first game?
Yeah it's the Darkness still left in Sora's Heart
Yes.
He was in the darkness for years until KH2, so yes.
still waiting on the in depth analysis on card and dice form
dice form is best, don’t @ me
I think they didn't add in a counter because they wanted players to think getting anti form was a random event. But I remember when I was playing I was always scared I would get anti form when I went into drive so sometimes I would avoid it in hard fights. A counter would have been good.
oh, that feeling... isn't it cool? would be ruined with a stupid counter. mistery and fear made just by a possibility to get anti... so goddam cool when i was a kid
thereaperSC2 It makes sense but even if did finish of 3 hard bosses I still am piss because I don't number I'm at and I want to level up my forms for cavern of Remembrance!
thereaperSC2 ppl and speed runner's would cheat the counters!
Kareem Codling if u go in drive form OUTSIDE of a combat, no anti points will be added, so if you want to level up forms, make sure to go in that specific form before enemies spawn, like in a safezone. that way you will not increase your chances of getting anti, also if you have final form, spam it a couple of time and your anti points will drop to 0.
i got to admit that this form has actually saved my ass a few times the most memorable one being the second fight with Dimnix
(i think it's dymnix.
It's just so much fun combo locking a boss to death with anti XD.
nigga what i died countless times as a kid because of going anti form against demyx
Anti form is actually really powerful if you know what you are doing. I just think of it as a very fast beowulf from devil may cry 3 lol
vincent eby it depends on how good you are and how you play
also it looks cool as heck
its DEMYX.
he's cute. i wonder who's his real name is. its just hard to make out, not as easy as axel being "lea"
We need Sonicshadowsilver to make an Anti-form modded run, except you should be able to heal, use RC, and use finishers.
i would pay money to see that happen.
Maybe crazycatz00 can make the mod for it. After all, they did make the Sephiroth Silhouette, and voiced Terra.
if memory serves, kh-vids has a code that allows you to use magic and items in anti form. not being able to do physical combo finishers kind of stinks but at least magic can offset that. not sure about RC's though, maybe that code that lets roxas use sora RCs could be modified.
That would be broken. You have lowered defence and can't heal for a reason.
Also tell me, if he couldn't use finishers how did he kill Shan-Yu at 7:37?
Deon TheANoMALY
Anti-form run
Finishers and RC but no heal
I love anti-form. Using the power of darkness with Sora is just awesome!!!!!!!!!
Wasn't expecting to learn something new, but you managed to teach me a few mechanics about the form that I didn't know. Kudos.
Take a shot every time he says anti form.
As someone else counted, that'll be 69 shots.
ComedyShortsGamer might do it XD
RushStudios101 -shots- 1/3 a shot
RushStudios101 take a shot every time sora dies
RushStudios101 how about everytime sora dies
Bizkit, I knew most of this stuff in the video, but your videos are always so enjoyable to watch. It's great to see a KH fan so dedicated to the series, and even KH2 specifically. Keep posting videos man! You are also my favorite speed runner.
I used to believe that Sora changed into anti because he got mixed with a heartless instead of other party members
ahhh the memories XD
I looked Into all of this already, but this vid is a good refresher!I love your guides.
Puts in mechanic against drive abuse-> Lets you use Final as much as you want.
You say anti form is bad but when it came out for me I was the happiest little boy you can ever see.
Shame that when I first played KH2, Anti Form was dope af and I got super stoked when I got it so the point of it was totally lost to me. KEEP UP THE DRIVE ABUSE
Anti-form early game: YESSSS THIS RULES HAHAHA
Anti-form mid-to-late game: what the fuck this sucks!
I understood Hentai Form...
That would be amazing.
sora gains this when he travels to an anime world
Pyroctopus What about after opening the hearts of the princesses of light with your "Keyblade" ;)
Just no dude XD
I hate you
Seems like it's a common phenomena of achieving anti form when you're on death's door in the Xigbar fight
I have to ask, for curiosity's sake; In the cutscene where Sora first receives his Drive Forms early in the game, does him going Valor Form in the cutscene count towards the Antipoint total?
i loled
Hooded Roxas no...
Hooded Roxas It’s a mere cutscene lol.
No why?
Even if it did, the Antipoints would reset immediately after the cutscene since that's when the new drive form acquisition happens
The rage form in kh3 makes me happy cuz in 5th grade all I wanted was to play kh2 only in anti form and having it so easily available and actually not too bad in kh3 fulfilled my wishes
Am i the only one who thinks anti form is cool? It fits me well
I am a player who:
- wants high damage characters
- wants high attack speed and combo characters
- wants high speed movement
- doesn't really care about defense and prefer avoiding enemy's attacks
- rarely use magic
Only problem being if you care about dying a lot then Anti Form is a horrible problem most of the time, since it can lead to nearly 100% chance deaths
Fully controllable Anti-Form would have been an amazing reward for beating Data Org
Came here from the AGDQ run you were a part of, so funny I found this video first when looking for information about anti-form.
It'd be pretty cool if this were sora's heartless
Juan Pimentel it pretty much is
(spoiler if you didn't play the first game)
sora releases his heart with rikus keyblade to put kairis heart back with her as their hearts were the same at the time, and sora gets turned into a shadow. After that he gets turned back, but the heartless form still lingered within. Because of soras new clothes' abilities (Valor, Limit, Wisdom, Master, and Final form) the heartless form now has a way to release itself once again, but sora has control as the form is just coming from the magic imbued in the clothes.
so to shorten that
it is is heartless form
It is. He turned himself into a heartless to save Kairi in 1. This is the lingering darkness that comes out, turning him into a heartless.
Anti Form pissed me off in hallway section of the Cave of Remembrance
And I now have the information I need to go into one of my favorite forms!!! THANK YOU BIZKIT!!!😭
Something about murdering larxene with your bare hands is much more satisfying than using the keyblade.
This is pretty interesting. I would love to know Anti Forms significance story wise though as I don't remember it ever being referenced at any point
Nourma in a interview stated that antiform is the manifestation of Soras Darkness over him or something like that.
UnbreakableJames it is also mentioned in the mirrors in yen sid' s tower that describe the drive forms.
Emad Srour oh? I'd love a source of that
Zeemanhuismerk nomura interviews tell us antiform is caused by when sora became a heartless.
Werewolves779 That doesn't make HIM a heartless, that was my question.
Much like your other in-depth videos, this one was top notch :)
At 1:35 you're not supposed to take damage directly from his attacks at all. How did you suddenly get destroyed by him at that point?
It was the exploding rose cage
Yeah. If you watched, he used the rose cage before, and the explosion from it got 'im.
Apparently some attacks do indeed do damage to Sora directly in that boss fight.
Or as I described it to a friend "the more you rely on Form power, the more it consumes Sora"
I have a stupid and incredibly improbable question. If you popped Final Form right before defeating an Org. battle, and you win the battle with it, would that count as 1 experience point towards leveling Final Form? What about with Wisdom Form and Heartless bosses?
Yes, it still counts as a point, as does killing Heartless bosses with Wisdom
I definitely enjoyed the "Form change" mechanic of KH2 and the "Anti-Form" was one of my favorites.
Does turning into a card/die from a gambler minigame give you anti points?
HolyAarom no...
Jose Iturria wait a minute there is a game shark for PS2?!
@@FrankFigliolaOnUA-cam Yeah? Lol. You'd put that disc in, select the game cheats, then put in the game you wanted to cheat.
Doesn't Anti form change depending on which form you were trying to go? I've noticed that the combos are different for each form
+Flaming Gilgamesh No
***** I could have sworn it did
The attacks depend on what button you press (there is a attack you do with square in middle of combo) and it also depends on your position. If there are multiple enemies around you the antiform will for example use a finisher that hits as a AoE etc.
Just like normal sora does his explosion when theres multiple enemies etc. Not very complicated to understand.
***** ah. I thought it was just dependant of form
find it funny that every other kingdom hearts character gets completely slaughtered in the plot if they try to use the power of darkness but sora can just do it whenever he feels like it
I wish you would have noted some fights where Anti was actually useful
+Sidney Mosley Like what? I don't consider getting the form in general useful due to the disadvantages of it
Bizkit047 i find it quite useful for xigbar honestly

Anti Form aka "Oh you´re trying to win against this superboss? Too bad, sucker!"
“No abusing drive forms, or you might go anti form”
Except by the end of the game valor form is nigh useless compared to just plain ol’ sora. And wisdom form lost it’s punch the moment master was unlocked. Which Master was useless the moment Final was unlocked. Which prevents going Anti Form, and also lowers the chance from then on.
Nifty.
I love the way he fights in this form
Anti-form is actually in the regular kh2 which (as most players and fans should know) was for the ps2
who said it isnt
???
Alright bro we get it you're talking about anti-form
Is Anti-Form able to be a drive form you can do on command? My cousin on KH2 had Anti-Form for a Drive and he doesn't know how he did it
thats not even possible but there is a keyblade that gives u an increase to get into anti form
+Meshack McDaniel It is possible with devices such as Codebreaker by putting in the "All drives" code, he might have grabbed the save off the internet that had this code activated or something like that.
Your cousin either discovered the rarest glitch in the world, is lying, or is using an action replay
zingodoom No he wasn't lying. I played with it
You can only select Anti Form via a hack, otherwise it's a lie. Closest thing is otherwise going Anti with Two Become One Keyblade whenever you want
Honestly this is a great video. Thanks for this information
Anti Form may have a lot of disadvantages compared to other forms but man,it's fun as h3ll.
His attacks are fast and satisfying to do,it's also cool how he looks and acts exactly like a Heartless
I wished he could guard, and heal in the same way Limit form does.
It would also be nice if he can do RC in that form, would be even cooler if the anti form has its own RC animation.
It's also unfortunate how you can't use items nor magic in that form.
Think about it,imagine if Anti form has its own magic attacks, that would be so damn cool
It's a cool and fun form but has a lot of missed potential.
Not to mention,it locks you behind a lot of stuff and considering how many of the enemies rely heavily on RC,we're pretty much defenseless against the majority of enemies and bosses
...Then again,it was made to be a *punishment* so it makes sense but yea,I still kinda wished it was a bit more fair and useful
"The devs put the form in to prevent Drive abuse"
Lol.
*Laughs my way through Proud Mode in Anti form*
I was always annoyed by anti-form because it also punished players like me who rarely if ever used Drive Forms. I get they needed balance them but it was never a good way to do that imho.
2:24 I thought the theory is because they are Disney characters, therefore anti form is not possible, since if I recall correctly, there is no third party member in the barbossa fight
Is Anti Form actually bad? Any time i go to Drive Forms i look forward going Anti Form
If you're on Crit, usually it's bad unless it happens to be on a fight where Anti Form can easily dodge and counter
So basically it turns sora into an arcsys character, gotcha
*how I felt when using anti form for the first time*
😆AAAWWWWWW SHIT NIGGAAAAAAA!!!
*how I feel using anti form now*
😫GOD FUCKING DAMN IT!!! THIS IS NOT THE TIME FOR THAT!!!
i really like the quick run/ dodge thing anti form does. i wish it was obtainable as an ability.
i also really hope KH3 has a drive form mechanic. really made the game exciting for me growing up.
Anti form is still among my favorite forms
Moral of the story: use final form
@0:28 It proves nothing but an arbitrary limitation put in place for player who heavily rely on drive form usage. Some people might call it abuse but those people probably call war freedom and criticism hate.
Totally agree mate. maybe they will learn to be better players and not rely on one OP thing.
Red Phoenix the thing is, i run a nobody build in kh2 final mix, so the only form i use is final
i have no worries whatsoever
I’ve basically found that if you use the same form like 3-4 times in a row or something to that effect it usually guarantees you anti-form. Maybe I’m wrong but I would ALMOST always predict it when it happened. Normally I would have used, let’s say, wisdom form probably 4 out of 5 times within a relatively short window and then, bam, right on cue it would just happen. You can also tell when it’s gonna happen because it pauses just a tick longer during the drive transformation.
through my entire playthrough of kh2 i never got anti form even once, but then again i didn't play final mix
-Damage output is not too bad
**Flashbacks of me doing literally zero damage to The Experiment in Christmas Town via Anti-Form**
Maybe if you have a ridiculous amount of strength... but until then, Anti-Form doesn’t have a damage floor, so you can potentially deal a bit fat 0 damage if you’re not high leveled enough, depending on the boss.
I bow before thy wisdom!
Anyways, where did u get this knowledge from?
Most of the info in this video has been known since KH2 original release from official guides, and the rest is known from testing. If you Google Search "Anti Form" you'll see most of the info easily.
This actually really helps if you don't really know how to use anti form in the game
It must've sucked if someone got anti-form on a speed run lmao
In normal Crit runs we avoid it by knowing how Anti Points work. Only in LV1 you have a chance of getting it once randomly, and in that one fight it's actually faster to get it
Bizkit047 Ahh makes sense, really cool that you guys can keep track of that stuff
Random Weeb why wouldn't speedrunners know the counter? lol there's a reasons why they don't show u! so ppl won't abuse it by either avoid it or use it!

This was a punishment form? It was my favorite and most used forms. Blocking, dodging, and healing with each strike I land? That power was addictive.
