Thanks, really learning a lot from your channel! I don't see a link for any clear primer. I want to remove some decals and re-spray a carbon crankset with "clear" but can't seem to find any clear primer. I don' t really know what is good so would appreciate a recommendation.
aww man, the carbon fibre looks soo good as is. this is why i want to repaint my bike, id love to see just the carbon weave with an ultra matte finish!
Thanks Martin, great as usual. I just wish I had seen this earlier. I literally just primed a new carbon fibre fork using Anchor Etch Primer aerosol. The guy in the auto paint shop said I could use the same primer for my Ti frame and the carbon fork. Would you recommend I remove the etch primer from the carbon fork and start again? I have 2k topcoat ready to go. Damn!
Thanks Etoe for sharing, thats really helpfull. I have questions and if u dont mind i want to ask u can i use any primer or only carbon primer? I never do some carbon paint job before, only painted plastic and alum. But i wanna try to repaint carbon material, thanks before 🙏
Hey ETOE. I have a set of carbon wheels that are matt finish. I want to make them have a gloss finish. Going to use a 2k gloss clear. do you recommend using a clear primer or just wet sand and shoot the gloss clear? Great videos ETOE. keep it up.
what spray gun do you use for labels? BTW - professional job showing step by step how to re-paint bike in correct way. Thanks a lot for sharing the knowledge!
Thanks for your videos!!! What type of clear primer are you using? I’m looking for a can, but is really not to mess things up 🙏🏻🥴 Is there some specific things I should avoid?
Hi Martin, could you recommend any clear spray-can primer, similar to what you used in the video, but in a diy/pro spray can? I was about to embark on a diy clear paint jobs. Thanks for the video's awesome stuff :) Greetings from Singapore.
Is there a spray can primer for carbon? As I don't have a sprayer! And what would you recommend. It's for a Cannondale synapse carbon not hi mod. I was going to use Primer Montana gold shock black Spraymax 2k gloss Spraymax 2k Matt. Thanks for Vids gives me the confidence to give it a go😁
Great video as always! I would just like to know what brand or what product is that clear primer? Been looking for a clear primer but I haven't found anything yet. Cheers!
Absolute tolle Arbeiten immer klasse Kanal. Eine Frage hätte ich der Durchsichtige Primer von welchem Hersteller ist der .Vielen Dank schon mal im voraus
Martin ,you mean the carbon fiber weaving will reappear again after you sanded and sprayed the primer and the top clear coat? But you said you "sanded that Centurion until it was all gray and the CF weaving is not visible anymore".Thanks.

@@ETOE Thanks, i appreciate your help. So far i was working with universal 2K primer. It is not good, does not stick very well to carbon frame. I'm working little bit with airbrush and painting. Right now i did one bike in black/gold and now i'm making another one in black/red chrome ( like you did with focus with gold leafs. I can send you pictures if you are interested )
have you had an experiance with poliyester filler primer iv just stripped my nuke mtb and am going to use it to fill in the scratches from the stripping just wondered how and if u have used it before for priming frames to make it easier
@@ETOE Do you think i can spray over blank stripped Carbon Frame the Montana Glitter Flakes + Clear Coat without the primer? It is only about the LOGO Sticker...So the Logo Decals should show carbon fibre with flakes under Clear Coat and the rest of the frame will be white. I use Montana Gold Cans.
Hallo, I have question for a long time in my head how long you have to wait before you putting stencil so after removing it basecoat would not peel off ? I hope you understand what i mean to say :D Danke
Can I use transparent acrylic primer over the polish alloy frame bike (not epoxy primer). Because I want to paint candytone color over the polish alloy frame and transparent primer due to "Bling" paint result. ( I use to be paint alloy frame with conventional: epoxy primer-silver metallic -candytone-clearcoat)
Is it really necessary for me to spray some clear primer if I want the finish to be transparent or can I just do clear polyurethane on the sanded frame and be good ?
@@ETOE thanks for the encouraging reply. i sent you a message in another video that is sort of related. are there spray cans of clear primer? and you say that you have to sand for a smooth surface. can you also do a wet-sand and polish schedule on primer? or would you even need to?
@@ETOE thank you in advance for any info your are able to give. is there a clear primer in spray can that you would recomend, if it were going to be used alone?
@etoe Is there a way to use a transparent primer on Steel ? (or aluminium) if I want to keep the steel raw aspect on certain part of the frame ? Thank you a lot! cheers
Thanks Etoe, awesome content. I’ve learned a lot from you painting videos.
@oldshovel I like to react to one of your vids and give some tips. Let me know if you are interested.
Oh wow, nice to see this interaction, I follow both of you

Thanks to you I kinda feel like I can paint my own bike know.
Thank you for taking the time to show us all the steps to get a professional finished.
I absolutely love your videos. I have a question though. Do you have a recommendation for cleap primer in a "Rattle Can"? Thanks a million.
wow, im actually really sold on that raw carbon look.
Great video man, thanks for sharing! Is it possible to sand just the clear cloat and apply new one? In case I don't want a new color.
I have tried to find a transparent primer in a spray can. No luck, not even from SprayMax. Do you have a link to any?
The 3D effect of the branding looks very cool. Nice one!

Thanks for the videos Martin. Can you recommend a 2k white primer in a spray can? I don't see any from spray max.
Great video, getting me psyched up to have a go at painting my Merida 96
If I put a candy red over clear primed carbon would the colour show up?

It has no woven carbon structure. The Layers are uni directional.
What is the brand of the clear primer? I like that it fills small pinholes.
Hi Etoe. I would appreciate if you can tell me which thinner are you using with this 2K Epoxy primer? Acetone?
