    Thanks for making this video … if you come across doing an installation for an upgrade radio for Apple CarPlay, please upload so we can continue to get great feedback

    This was very helpful! I am not replacing the radio but need to remove that center panel, couldn't find any other videos. This is great! :) Thank you!

    When I turn My jeep compass radio on, the sound turns on for two seconds and then off for two seconds and it just keeps doing that. Have you ever experienced this? Is it a simple fuse fix somewhere or is my radio done? Thank you I appreciate the video and help

      Hello, it will not be a fuse problem. If fuse is burnt radio would not work at all. You can try pulling out the radio and checking wiring and connections behind it. But most likely problem is the radio unit itself. I've replaced probably over 50 of this jeep / dodge / chrysler radios. They always fail. Your best option is to get used one from a car salvage or online. Also make sure to check wiring behind the rubber sleeve at the drivers door jamb

      @ thank you very much! Are after market radios no good ? I saw some for around $229 on Amazon and Best Buy.

      @@Action_Clips_CODM Yes you can definitely do aftermarket. You will have to get the radio, wiring harness for it separately and possibly radio kit depending on the type of radio

    If we put an aftermarket radio in, will it mess with the anti theft system? Which part of the anti theft does it affect, the passive immobilizer or the alarm system?

    • @QuiteAlright
      @QuiteAlright  Рік тому

      Hi, radio replacement shouldn't mess with the vehicle's anti theft. Your OEM radio probably has its own anti theft system and if you install it again in the future it might ask you for a radio code, but other than that you should be fine

      @@QuiteAlright oh perfect. I didn't think about the anti theft being for the radio itself until talking about it later with my gf. Unfortunately she didn't get the owner manual with her jeep so we don't have the code for it

    • @QuiteAlright
      @QuiteAlright  Рік тому

      @@Daniel-dk8rp You can get the code if you give the vehicle serial number and radio serial number to Jeep dealership. They usually charge around $50 to retrieve the code

      @@QuiteAlright oh that's good to know. I would like to post it online in case someone else can use it instead of just discarding it. Thank you

    Do I have to disconnect the battery?

    • @QuiteAlright
      @QuiteAlright  Рік тому +1

      It is always recommended to disconnect the battery before removing the radio. Most likely nothing will happen if you don't, but if you want to be 100% safe do it

      Should always disconnect the battery as a precaution
