Welcome to my channel! This is a music reaction channel. For the longest time, I've loved creating content on the internet. I started off with a gaming channel right here on UA-cam, which eventually turned into a Twitch gaming channel, but as time has gone on I've evolved into doing other things on UA-cam. For years now I've wanted to create a music channel on UA-cam, and recently just figured "why not?", so it’s time to give this a go! Give me any suggestion you have for music reactions, and I will do my best to get around to them. As music has fallen further out of my life, I figured this would be a great time to get reintroduced to music.
If you enjoy this video and my reactions make sure you subscribe to the channel, like the video and comment down below which video you would like to see me react to next.
This is a reaction video used to educate and give my feedback on the song and artists.

You missed out on the best decades of music for rock, the 60's & 70's...but you are making up for it by listening now.
The lyrics are from the Bible, Ecclesiastes 3:1-8.... Really enjoy your reviews. I THANK YOU!

Pete Seeger's arrangement of the Book of Ecclesiastes, with a touch of anti-war thrown in. We played it at my mother-in-law's memorial service; Pete had been a personal friend of hers. This is the canonical version -- perfect mix of acoustic and electric and vocals.

This is a bedrock song in music history during the 1960s... In my opinion it was *the* bridge song from Dylan / folk going electric to music as more of a means of social commentary and led into the Summer of Love, psychedelic rock, Crosby Stills Nash & Young, Jefferson Airplane, the Dead, Woodstock etc. This song connected early 60s to late 60s... fitting that it was released in 1965. Great tune... The biblical book is pronounced something along the lines of "ec-lee-zee-ast-ees"

This is one of those songs that have a life of its own. It still resonates, and The Byrds released it almost 60 years ago. Great
commentary, as always. Thank You. It's really an old folk song by Pete Seegar.

A classic right out of the Bible with a slight rearrangement by Pete Seeger an then the Byrds made it into an instant pop hit at the height of The Vietnam war!

Great song and lyrics. The Byrds' had a signature sound with McGuinn's12-string Rickenbacker guitar. This was a big hit for them.

Really great that you reacted to this!! The use of the Rickenbacker guitar by Roger McGuinn was influenced by The Beatles. I actually saw Crosby, Stills and Nash play this live in San Antonio at The Municipal Auditorium (now the Tobin Theater). Stephen Stills used a Rickenbacker on that live performance. And to make things better, that show was CSN and Chicago!!!!

Great song and reaction😊💖The Byrds' jangle pop sound influenced Tom Petty (according to a PhillyVoice article, "whenever Tom Petty talked about who had the biggest impact on his music, the legendary rocker would say Roger McGuinn of the seminal Byrds"), R.E.M. and Crowded House, among others. You might want to check out Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers' cover of the Byrds' "So You Want to Be a Rock and Roll Star."

In their hit song, Mr. Tambourine Man, they sang: "Hey, Mr. Tambourine Man, play a song for me, In the jingle jangle mornin' I'll come followin' you"
Not sure, but that might be the source of the "jangle".
These songs made people wise, and they will make you wise and one of the wise.

I'm so glad you took my suggestion on listening to this tune. I think the term "jangle pop" applies here to the amazing 12-string guitar of Jim McGuinn.
If you want to hear another brilliant "jangle-pop" song by them, listen to "Feel A Whole Lot Better." It's absolutely mesmerizing!

These lyrics were taken straight out of Bible. (Old Testiment) Ecclesiastes. Was reading this section a few days ago. This was written in the horrible part of the 1960s. Vietnam war on tv news every night at dinner, along with the race riots across the country, and the assassinations of John Kennedy, Robert Kenedy, and MLK. Crazy time, but the music was the best.

The lyrics are taken from the third chapter of the Book of Eccelciastes. King Solomon opened the book by looking back on his life and coming to the conclusion that, even though he was considered one of the wisest men to ever live, his life had been a waste of time. He concluded that there was nothing new under the sun. But the third chapter is filled with wonderful truths. God makes everything beautiful in its time and that there is a time for everything. Such a beautiful lesson for us.

Yeah, the Byrds' sound, especially their guitar sound, has influenced a lot of bands, especially in the 1980s, when there was a wave of 60s-revival bands that were said to have a "jangly" sound, sometimes referred to as Byrdsian, the best known being early REM and the Smiths but including many others like the early Bangles, Rain Parade, the La's, etc.

    Let's try it.... ik-leese-e-asti's.
I think the longest serving member of the Byrds, with the jangly 12 string and the square sunglasses, was Roger McGuin. He stayed with them through many iterations, while others joined and left.
This is very typical Byrds sound. How about listening to their Chestnut Mare. It's a great story song , sort of country tradition, but not country. You'll like it.

The tragedy of this song is that while it shouldn't have been too late for peace it actually WAS too late. 50,000 U.S deaths, 2-4 MILLION Vietnamese, Cambodian, Laotian deaths would follow in the next 10 years.
