Good luck with your fitness journey! I studied fitness in college and there was a saying in my classes "21 days to form a habit!" 1st day is hard, getting to that 21st day is harder. Your mind is going to be your best friend and also your worst enemy. There will be days where you'll try to convince yourself that maybe you don't have time to workout today, or maybe yesterday was busy and you need a rest day, or maybe you ache a little more than usual, etc these are all excuses and they're going to sound very convincing. Something that I've told all my friends and people I've worked with is to learn what the excuses sound like, and if you feel yourself starting to make excuses then you should immediately start working out
Blood Bowl players would be built like NFL players, apart from your ST4 Jaguar Warrior who is a standard woman. I personally have Two Heads and am totally capable of the Fumblerooksie play.

I need to reach 152 Kilo's without lowering my runtime or push up numbers to go to Armour 9+ (and str 4 at the same time)
Oh mate, Ben, the "found footage" comment on your own run was hilarious - and at the same time relatable as we've all been there. Good on you mate, the first step is always the hardest and persistence always brings improvement! I also love that you, as the spreadsheet man, are running this effort via an Excel spreadsheet hahaha
Also Ben don't underestimate the decline in fitness for both Mums and Dads that a new bub can force on you. On the flip side, a small baby also serves as a pretty decent handweight for a few improvised lifting exercises, that can give your fitness a boost and your little one a few giggles! :)

I’m sure I won’t score well currently, but considering that I did play football and ice hockey in high school, the traits I’d probably give myself are Thick Skull (as even today I don’t always notice immediately when I’ve injured myself), Stand Firm (played defensive tackle. and was really good at defending against trap blocks and double teams), and possibly Sure Hands (as we trained to recover loose balls from fumbles, but know I won’t have a high agility; perhaps some sort of unique trait that allows a bounces to catch/pickup a ball that bounced into my square).
I'm a fan of what you are using your various metrics to accomplish. If it gets you and others motivated to exercise, you've created a great thing. If these metrics were only being used to calculate stats though, I would replace the distance run with a quick sprint. As an American football coach for the past quarter of a century, we test 40yd. dash and a 5-10-5 agility test to measure speed (MA).
When I was at my fittest (and played TE in college) my stats were Mv 8, St 4, Ag 2+, Pa 3+, Av 9+. Now my stats are Mv 6, St 3, Ag 3+, Pa 4+, Av 9+. Not gonna lie this is really motivating. I went from Griff Oberwald to a human lineman. I need to get it back.
One of the reasons I got into BloodBowl to begin with is because I was a young rugby star hopeful until injuries ruined my sports career dreams. I'm 37 years old now but when I was 24-25 my stats would have been MA 6 ST3 AG 3+ PA 4+ AV 10+ and tackle. I don't know what doing kickboxing would add to that, maybe block? I was very much a hot head back in the day so add frenzy to it as well I think. Today I am 30 kg heavier (137 kg) but I try to lift weights now and then. Probably -2 MA, niggling injury like Trips mentioned. MA 4 ST 3 AG 4+ PA 4+ AV 10+ with block, frenzy and tackle would probably be accurate today. Basically a dwarf?! HAHA Great initiative, going running tomorrow morning for the first time in 10 years.
Shame about the rugby injuries, it's a tough sport. Technically anyone over 30 in rugby is classed as a veteran and can play for just social reasons 😊 good luck with the run👍
I definitely need this. I used to be an athlete. I used to basically have Dodge, then I spent twenty years sitting. I'll never be Griff, but I may at least make Lineman.
I Love this! If someone had asked me to run before I would had told them something, but you saying that I could find out my stats has me planning a run. I don’t think it will be a habit but certainly more running than I would have done otherwise. I’ll report back with stats and look forward to the passing stats video
