@jensreadinglife I'm reading This Tender Land by William Kent Krueger now. It has all the summer feels! My first by this author, but will definitely be picking up Ordinary Grace now!!
Thanks, Jen! I hope you’ll do another Little Free Library tour in the future. LFLs make me happy. 😃I love opening the doors for a peek even if I don’t take anything. It was nice to see that someone had dedicated their LFL to someone who had passed away. I think that’s a good idea in memory of someone you love. Is it just me or does anybody else tidy up the LFLs when you visit them?
@@jensreadinglife I'm happy that you'll be doing this again. I just KNEW that you were a tidier, too! On my evening walk last night, I checked out my fave LFL and found that someone had already tidied it. 😀
When I first started going to LFLs, I had better luck. Nowadays, I seldom find anything, despite having access to six LFLs. I suppose it's partly me. As i get older, I am more picky about what I read. I want vintage, mystery, classic or prizewinning young adult or children's, and cookbooks. Part of the problem is that often the LFLs aren't maintained. One time, someone put multiple (like 20) copies of the same children's book--and wiped out all the good offerings. I continue to do the rounds and occasionally find something. It is a good place to offload books. You've given me the desire to go back to a nearby "real" library that offers used books for sale, cheap.
Yes! I thoroughly enjoyed this, thank you. Would like to see more LFL's. I cannot find any in my city OR nearby. Maybe just have to hunt better. One of the "bad" things about being in Rehab, is for my wallet! I am bored, restless, in pain, So MY personalized treatment for myself is to ORDER BOOKS! I don't need 1 more bk! I have 3 in here w/me, plus mags and my bible; A friend going to my apt. next week to pick up The Shell Seekers, A Mary Stewart and I forget what else I wrote down. I'm CRAZY, but you know how excess book buying goes...😂😅😁😋😁😆😅
I really loved Katherine by Anya Seton but didn’t like her other books as much…..but it’s a VERY long time ago! Did you donate the Cadfael or put it back? I love Ellis Peters.
Run, don't walk, back to pick up the copy of Ordinary Grace by William Kent Krueger. Such a great book!
I think my mom has a copy which is why I left it for someone else! 😉

I loved watching you take this tour. I had fun deciding which books I would have picked up - a vicarious shopping trip!
I love watching tours like this too so I’m glad you enjoyed it! 😊
I wanted to reach through the screen and grab that Nancy Drew! I am so glad you got it!!! Wonderful tour...thank you!💙
I couldn't possibly have left that one behind! I'm glad you enjoyed my LFL tour!
Super fun! 😊
Thank you 🤗

I love LFL videos. I just tidied one up recently. I can’t help myself. 📚🤓
@@thebookemporium3577 I’m glad I’m not alone. I’ve even been tempted to put them into genre order but I figured that was a step too far. 😆
@@MJ-in-Canada😂😂😂 I do allow myself to separate them into children’s and adult, though. I have to give myself a little perk. ☺️
I will definitely do it again! It was fun. And I tidy them up too…I just did it after I turned the camera off. 😉

Love LFLs and library sales! That's a great copy of The Outsiders.
It really is! It’s in pristine condition. 😊
Thanks for taking us along! My wife read a few Anya Seton books years ago and she really liked them.
That’s so good to hear!
I love LFL tours, ❤it's always fun to see what you can find. I periodically do LFL "hops" in my area.❤
It is fun to see what gems you can discover! And I found a few new ones to frequent!
Hi Jen -- fun book browsing with you, thank you!! and Congrats on hitting 2K subscribers!! 😊🎉
Thank you so much!!! I have something fun coming to celebrate very soon! 😁
My sister is on vacation in Vancouver BC. Found a book at a Little Free Library. She’s happy 😊
How fun! I need to remember to look for them when I’m on vacation!

It’s definitely hit or miss! Recently I’ve had more luck with the library bookstore and book sales!
I love the little gardens on top of the LFL! Anya Seton’s My Theodosia is quite nice. I’m eager to see what you think of her.
Yes, I love that LFL succulent garden! It’s on the street where my son has piano lessons so I stop by it a lot!
Lovely tour! A great reminder to look at my local library for their little bookstore ❤️
It’s a great place to find hidden gems. ☺️
I saw a lot I wanted. 😄
There was some good stuff!

There is an app/website to search for LFLs in your area so maybe try that! I think a little book ordering therapy sounds like just what you need! ❤️
I loved that book Katherine years ago and searched for it to read again but can’t find it! Boo hoo. I bet you will love it too. 😊
I’m so glad to hear you loved it!

I'm so glad to hear you liked Katherine! I did put the Cadfael back but mostly because I want to try them on audio!
You put Death in Venice back?? Big mistake! The Golden Notebook is amazing.
Maybe I’ll have to go back and see if it’s still there!
