I found that the health & beauty items have the highest returns and biggest followings. We did extremely well some years back with the Aussie spray gel. We got them on clearance for less than $2 a bottle so we bought just over 6 cases worth and less than 6 months later we were getting $40+ per bottle. One customer bought 3 cases of 24 in one shot and another 2 cases less than a month later. We went through all 6 cases in just over 30 days, great ROI if you ask me. Cheers!

I got some burt's bees cucumber and sage wipes which were discontinued and paid beaucoup for it. I also sold some discontinued mug saving soap that i got on clearance at the grocery for 1.29 for 10.00. This is amazing .

Nope, It was not discontinued, the name was just changed to “ Soy Sauce Flavor” to be PC. Same color bag, even says “ same oriental flavor “ on the package. Plus after years of being the only Vegetarian option, they added another option, chili lime flavor. 💙

Nestle sold the brand to Ferrero last year who changed the formula to be made with "higher quality ingredients" by removing hydrogenated oils from the bar. Didn't go over too well with die hard fans so if you can find the old formula bars the potential to make some money is there.

I was an assistant manager at a grocery store when Nestea was discontinued. It was probably the product cancellation that upset the most customers that I ever saw. The company told us that it really only sold well in our area of the USA (NE, KS. IA). I wish there had been some warning ahead of time but there wasn't. In fact I kept ordering it for about a month with no results before we were finally informed it was no longer available. I also am pretty sure i threw away a lot of that meat marinade that had expired or was close to expiration. Damn lol.

Look for Olde Bay seasoning, they changed the receipt about 3 years ago and it's no way as good. I personally have been looking for McCormick "New Mexico" Chile Powder, it's not hot and has a sweeter mild taste, the title has to have the New Mexico. I miss these 2 spices so much. I love the Maybelline Baby Lips lip balm in the grapevine flavor. A few years ago they became very hard to find so I ordered 10 from the Madeline website. I think they cost 2.99$ each. As I was about to run out I tried to buy more but that flavor was discontinued. I didn’t want to pay 22.99$ for those few left on eBay but then after spending even more money trying (and failing) to find a suitable replacement I ordered one... and will order another right now.
I wish I had thought about eBay when Nabisco changed the graham cracker recipe to a higher wheat content which totally messed up the taste. I stopped buying them because not only did the taste change but so did the texture. Now I want to find discontinued food stuff and other items for myself to use...and eat.

eBay no longer lets you sell partial bottles of perfume. Lots of people try, but eBay is penalizing sellers who defy this guideline; New perfume only! You can still sell empty bottles.

So I checked to see how much was in there and there was $83.50 . They could of had it for a quarter but nope. Why did I try to sell it? Just to see what happened.
A friend bought a load of Von Dutch T shirts years ago from a clothing store. Visited about half a dozen of there stores and cleaned them out. Paid £15 for each one sold them on Ebay £20 was the lowest and £45 the highest price with an average of £35. The profit paid for a skiing trip to Aspen. 😁.

Maybe ask the sales associates if anything is being discontinued for laundry department? Now an easy way to know is on stuff like Coca Cola, Sprite etc with different seasonal products they make.
A lot of stores will have a red or orange clearance tag that will state that it will be a discontinued item and usually with a significant price drop. Discontinued is not the same as a store not carrying the item anymore though, so do your homework. Cheers!

Expiration dates mean nothing. There's a store in my area that that's all they sell. Stuff is still good for months or years after the date.
