The lady who had the Hummels( who was way off on the prices because they just arent worth much anymore) completely underpricing the murano piece and nesting dolls. She just loved her Hummels and didnt know that the other stuff really had value. Funny how that happens sometimes. What a haul on the purses! WOWZA! As always the silverware hits the jackpot again! Great video!
Yes, Hummels are not worth that much anymore
Just so you know the Longchamp bag is French and it pronounced Longshomp. There is a horse racetrack where they run the top horse race on the flat in Europe each year, the Prix De l’Arc de Triomphe, which is comparable to your Kentucky Derby but on grass 😃😃 Kathryn from the UK
My favorite purses besides Goyard and Tods
I was just going to send same comment, haha!
Ty for the education
I thought the Kate Spade lady was Kayla’s mom
Love Longchamp own a few myself
I love it when people come up to you, you ask their name, then you use it in saying it's nice to meet you! A great way to make your fans feel special!
When a homeowner refers to her purses as people "this guy expands...this guy is so cute" she has a personal relationship with them. Taking it out of their death gripped hands for cheap will be very difficult! Congratulations.
There is an estate sale in Dayton Tennessee April 6. Tons of Christmas items (tables full of Santa items) and other holiday items as well as rooms and rooms full. Let me know if interested for more details.
I refer to my bags as hers or she's 😂
so gorgeous color. Love it *gtdupe* .have a nice day
I often wonder if someone watches a video and says, “OMG, Bob, remember that couple that bought that flatware set for $5? They sold it for $150!” Hahaha.
I've wondered that too.
I still get style and functionality without the price tag *preluxs* .
The *gtdupe* series is my favorite! Vintage and new! I love your stories behind the bags
"This is one of the first Hummels and it's from the 70's".... which means it's not even close to one of the first hummels. WWII soldiers would send them home as gifts (they were already well established in Europe by then). Back before the internet and eBay, people had no idea how many. There actually were in existence, and they thought they were much rarer than they really were. When people saw huge values placed on them, everybody listed theirs for sale, and the market dropped like a lead weight. So, your Beanie Baby remark was actually spot on.
Another problem is that Goebel reused the original molds to re-issue in later years.
I think she was referring to the nun piece
I have a Hummel that my Mom gave me…..it’s pre-WW2 and it’s a 2-foot statue of Madonna and child….nothing like the children statuettes.
It is classed as a _Special Edition_
Stunning Lock bracelet. Tiffany leather looks so good *gtdupe*
I love it when they talk big and you call them on it. The one woman was full of it and she got caught lying about her piece. Oh well, nice finds. Happy shopping.😊❤
To be Fair to the man with the cutting board. You did pull up in a B. M. W. He was not going to take only $5. 😅
True😊
“The Beanie Baby of pottery”😂😂😂
A perfect analogy since people believe that they bought it as an investment.
I'm glad y'all grabbed the Longchamp bag. The Le Pliage are especially popular because they fold up so they're easy to take on the go. They're even more popular in Europe. Also, it's common for that style to have corner wear. Longchamp fans know that so they still sell. They are considered luxury, so even if you see some of their leather bags don't pass them by without at least looking them up.
Hummel is one of those collectibles where the value has gone down significantly, but it can still be worth looking up. Some pieces might be more valuable than others and the market fluctuates. So, if you can get a good deal when the market is high it might be worth your time.
Always blows my mind when people tell you how they need to get rid of their stuff but hold firm on pricing it too high for people to buy.
You two have such fun together and you are so kind especially when seller throws out outlandish prices
The toucan you found is made by ICET Arte Murano. They are a Venezuelan company that makes glass in the style of Murano. It is not to be confused with Murano glass from Italy. Love all your videos! Thank you for sharing all your knowledge too!
I didn't think it was real Murano art glass. Thanks for the information. I know you have to be careful when buying glass with a sticker that says Murano, because most of it isn't authentic.
I just love people that say they need to get rid of there stuff right after they tell you a ebay price for it
Why they dont sell on e bay is beyond me.😮
@borderlass101 - Probably too much work for them.
eBay always is on the side of the buyer I got scam many times they keep the product and I have to return the money when they said they didn’t receive it
The quilt top has value in the fact that it's entirely hand folded and stitched around each hexagon (paper). The process is called English Paper Piecing.
It would been easy to wash out the yellow in the bath tub and hung dried. Retro Clean or Oxiclean could of been used. Depending how old and hand sewed. Could of been a $400+ money maker!
I would have brought that too it looked handsewn that design usually is.
@@Felicia65066 you can lay it in the sun to dry and that helps with the yellowing also.
It was so pretty and the pattern is 'Grandmother's Flower Garden'.
Your mom would've bought it from you.
It's our favorite couple time 😊love watching you both work together 😊 happy times 😊
The lady at the first sale needs to sell those online to get those prices because no one is going to buy those for those prices unless another millionaire attends the sale. Personally, If I did yard sales, I wouldn't put out items that are worth a lot of money.
Or go work for Goodwill, lol.
Exactly. I had a yard sale a couple years ago and my brother had a bunch of stuff that was his wife’s and I looked them up. Let’s say this thing I was selling was worth 100 and I had 50 on it. This guy comes in tells me, oh on eBay that only sells for $30 or whatever because he had looked it up. And I said yeah I looked it up two and they’re selling for 100 bucks he goes there listed for 100 bucks does it mean that they were sold. He was arguing with me so badly that I just let him have it for 25 bucks and I guarantee you he got over $100 for it. I understand that people want stuff dirt cheap but there are some people doing a yard sale that clearly need the money. And yeah, nobody’s going to buy them at that price so instead of getting a good price for this item that my brother needed the money for because his wife had actually loved him and left all the stuff he got pennies on the dollar. It was something that we weren’t going to ship either even if we had sold it on eBay there was no way this item was gonna get shipped.
lol@@stinkasscat
@@cyndimanka.. you should have told him not for sale I'll put it on ebay myself and sold it for 90 or lower so it sells fast...😊 Don't let a poophead make money off of you!!!😂😂👍💯🤪😝
Actually several of those purses would have been a really good deal
I can’t handle being followed around by sellers. 🤦🏻♀️ And I got second hand embarrassment for her thinking her stuff was so valued. ☹️
You would be surprised how many things get stolen from sellers at a yard sale. A smart seller wants to be able to answer your questions, but also watch over their merchandise.
Now I love the Prada (Galleria Medium). But my favorite is my *gtdupe* bag. It's something I've never seen anywhere and I love it.
She just put the nun back like you couldn't have it-lol
I love you guys together. Matt’s so gentle and kind. Kay, a funny, beautiful lady. ❤️💜
I think he talks too much!
They are both lovely, decent people. Just one thing I don't like that Kayla tends to snatch things from Matt
Who takes a day g especially that size to a yard sale?
@@lmp8932 Totally agree.
Never assume a painting is not signed especially an old painting. It might be so dirty that when cleaned the signature can show through. I would have bought that. :)
I like how everything is always “little” and a “thing”. “How much is your little foam thing?”. 😂 Always fun watching you guys.
I know ..lol. I Crack up because kayla says it all the time.
Enough about the Hummels I'm screaming ... I see Merry Mushrooms in the background!!!! Lol
Very nice lady tho 😊
😂😂😊
For the quilt you guys should buy those suction bags to reduce space maybe weight. They have hand held pumps or you can use the suction machine from a vacuum at the location you guys stay at. Just an idea. Even with a regular trash bag you can use. 😊
lollolol....The grace you gave the Hummel expert was priceless.
That’s IT exactly! These 2 are Full of GRACE for their wayward Sellers!
Lol the man with the cutting board had his shirt buttoned up crooked. Bless him!😂
Happy to see you!
I know!! I noticed Matt gave him full camera on that mis-buttoned shirt! He kind of deserved it after being a bit snarky about the prices.😆
I do hate when the sellers crowd you or follow you around to "explain"
Especially if you are fast looking so you can get to more sales in the neighborhood.
I just can't walk away though, especially if they are elderly.😊
Their things have a story for them and they’d like you to know where it comes from.
People steal at garage sells you know
God bless your soul Kayla, the lady was invading your personal space, my aniexty when been through the roof. Nice finds, always a good thung seeing you and Matt 😊!
That honeycomb quilt can be soaked in baking soda and lemon juice to brighten up!❣️
You two are so kind to little old ladies (like me LOL) who think things like Hummel pottery is still valuable, which, sadly, is not. You conduct yourselves with kindness and most of all, good humor.
Oh the weather house from Germany brings back childhood memories. It is so accurate too. I was memorized by it as a child 60 years ago.
Love your videos - a fan of both from when you were separate! Its like watching your fav celebs marry! But better - cuz its real life! (I always felt a not so great vibe with Kayla's hubby. A life lesson - never settle for a bad relationship. Nice to see her treated so well by such a nice guy!) Clearly you have much in common too!
I recognized the bag of forks, spoons, knives right away! I've sold random pieces I found at a small thrift store for a quarter each with a yellow handle for good money. Just look for that bumblebee!
I think you missed a Lilly Pulitzer piece when you were looking at the quilt-like item! 🎁🛒✨️🛍👑✈️🌵🎉❤️💥👫
Yeeeesssss🙌
Hey, it was really cool meeting you and Matt! Glad you guys had fun and found some really cool stuff here in Arizona! Yeeeehaaaw!!! 🤠🤠🤠
What neighborhood was that sale in?
The quilt top pattern is called grandma's garden. I have one from the 70's.
I was yelling at the screen “Lilly Pulitzer blanket” next to the quilt. Unless it’s a table cloth. They can go for some good money.
Should have picked up the quilt top. We won the World Series 2001. You hit some great sales. Love your videos. I always learn something new Kayla you’re very knowledgeable on things
You may wish to invest in those plastic bags that deflate if Matt were to sit on them after quilt is in it. Or...they also come in a vacuum deflat bag. Then they would easily travel with you and make for easy flat shipping.
I did that with two large quilts that I made for gifts. Put them in vacuum bags and got both of them in my carry on bag. They poofed right back to size when I took them out of the bags.
Good idea
That's what I came here to say! Not only good for comforters, but stuffed animals and big hauls of clothes and pillows! If the AirBnB has a vacuum you are in business!
Oh my goodness @HomeSchoolingPicker you found some really cute things. But those tiny Vibram five finger shoes were the absolute sweetest little thing! Matt has a pretty good eye! Better keep him! 😉
“JERRY” 😂 That was priceless!!
I wish you would have got the angry boy 😞 fyi often the signature is covered by the frame 😉
There were ALOTTA Fun Moments in this One! People are Soo Peculiar & You 2 know how to have FUN through it all! Matt is the BEST Negotiator- - I love his STYLE… Keep Doing YOU- You’re a Dynamic Duo 🤗
The way you guys pronounce Longchamp had me dying! 😂
10:13 “pretty crazy” that one almost made me laugh my milk out of my nose😂
I like that you always let older people tell you stories about their stuff and you listen and just don't brush them off. That might seem like a little thing, but I imagine it brings them some joy.
Matt, you crack me up “The beanie babies of pottery” 😂😂 Great score’s today K🇬🇧❤️❤️
So excited, saw you pick up that MK wallet and went right to your store and grabbed it! WooHoo! Love Houndstooth pattern, my first car (a 75' VW Rabbit) had houndstooth seats 😁
As a longterm reseller I feel I have some amount of authority to say this.
It really makes me happy to see your videos soaring in views above even some of the most established resellers because your authentic, down to earth attitude towards others and how hard you have worked deserves it.
Matt and Kayla were always my two favorite resellers. So cute that you two came together as one. I also like Tina too.
Nooooo you missed the lilly Pulitzer fabric? Sheets? Shower curtain? That was folded on the chair thing right beside the quilt! That looked like it was REALLY good, always check out the LP items ALWAYS! ❤😊 love from Birmingham Alabama 😊
Yunz need vacuum bags so you can fit more stuff in a suitcase so you don't have to pass on things like that anthropology comforter!!
I love Longshamp bags. It’s French and chic. It’s not cheap.
Parisienne love using it because it’s light and nice.
I saw the neighborhood and thought, that looks like my neighborhood...then i saw palmcroft on the map and i really wish i would have went to this sale. I loved the anthropology comforter and was sad you couldn't take it. I love watching you source your inventory
Such a sweet little baby. He is your joy. Happy Mother's Day Amber ❤. Enjoy !!
I am sorry but I would have had to tell that gentleman he needs to re-button his shirt! It distracted me! LOL! Great purses!
Sooo glad you didn't take that angry child painting home 😨 Who knows, could be haunted!
I thought the same thing! Painting was creepy!!!
3:11 love Kate Spade purses. Nice yard sale
Enjoy your videos, and learn a lot from both of you. You are one of the best couples out there with a sweet attitude. Thanks again for sharing
I’m a bag person and I just love when your looking at bags, some I see and start saying pick that one up or buy that one, or I want that one 😂😂😂 love your videos, 💕💜🌸🏴
Some really great finds guys 😉👍🏽 it's ashame about the quilt", to big & heavy to ship home" it was beautiful ❤️
Hey big purple lady...shush and let them shop!
Maybe you could get those plastic bags that you can suck the out of clothes and bulky things such as quilts. They would weigh the same but the bulk would reduced considerably.
Love *luxdups* the way you show it! You really focus on showing off the bag. I don't think any other UA-camr can show off bags in as much detail as you.
I’m so sad I missed that neighborhood sale in the historic district. Hope you guys had fun!
Kayla totally skipped over the your gonna need to model this later comment...lol smooth kayla
Ahhhhhh the Lilly Pulitzer fabric next to the quilt !!!!! 🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑
Great finds. The lady in the purple shirt was starting to cause me some anxiety. Same with people who were starting to crowd around too closely. My social anxiety meter would have been going off the charts. 😂
The elderly lady following them around would have annoyed the anxiety out of me and bought out my boxing skills . 🙂
@@kimstahl6833 😂 It seems wherever I go, I have a crowd that inevitably will migrate towards me, and talk with me as though they have known me for years. I just silently duck and run. I like your response. Maybe I should start wearing boxing gloves wherever I go. 😆🤣
God forbid people are nice to each other…
@@user-gq2mo7mc6s My comment had nothing to do with these folks being nice. I’m sure they are. Im a very kind person as well. I’m also rather on the shy side, and get anxious when people crowd around me. I look for an escape to prevent a panic attack. I do much better in smaller groups of people.
@@user-gq2mo7mc6s lol , lol It sounded a bit mean, but all I want to do is look, purchase or not and get out of there. Thank goodness I work in a job where I don’t have listen to peoples stories all day. I admire Matt and Kayla’s kindness and thoughtfulness.
Going through Kentucky for spring break right now!!! Thanks for another awesome video Kayla!
He said $10 because you pulled up in BMW 😂.
Yeah, driving in a (rented) BMW up to a garage sale is probably not a good idea, even if the seats are comfortable!! :)
The two of you found some great stuff in this video. The pattern of the quilt top is 'Grandmother's Flower Garden'. It's a somewhat difficult pattern made the English paper piecing method. You found some good handbags. Longchomp is pronounced "Lawn Chom", the g and p are silent.
I looked the Hummel Figures up and they are actually still quite valuable here in Germany with prices ranging for some between 100 and 500$ (limited editions figures).
Not in Canada! My greedy sister asked if she could have two Hummel figurines when my Mom died (she didn't realize I'd already looked them up!!! ) and when I casually said "sure", I could "hear" her thoughts, thinking she'd got a really good deal! NOT. :(
Pertaining to the quilt topper which was a bit yellowed you could always tea dye as a way of getting rid of yellow and giving the piece new life, as it would simply appear to be finished in an antiqued way. Carry on ..
A few months ago, I'd never heard yall talk about Brighton, but I found a Brighton belt where the belt buckle was a CHERUB face. It was SO cool. Knew i had to look it up. It was super small though like 26" around so I bought for 2 and sold for around $18. I loved selling it though!! Cool brand!
Amazing video as always Longchamp is a good bag to keep. It’s French and pronounced like lawn(g)-shawm(p)
That little black coin purse was such a steal! How cute
Hi Kayla and Matt another great video!!❤always love watching you two buying great things to flip 😀 Blessings your friend Joyce from California HUGS 🫂 🤗 ❤️
New JC isn’t worth it ; because it’s a mass produced - and sold at kohls and major retailers I used to go to the juicy store frequently living in Chicago. They all knew me in there I miss that store so much
Yaya! Love seeing your videos!!
Oxyclean works magic! I have a beautiful white cotton dress I wore in 1984 to my graduation and 87 on my honeymoon. It had turned yellow. Oxyclean made it just like new. Side note...my earrings from high school still fit 🤩
mine also
😂
WOW great haul you two!
Matt and Kayla I love
How someone tells you it’s worth 400 and you look it up and it’s worth 10.00 dollars I crack up everytime 😂
You know...that comforter would not have been $50 to mail back to Kentucky. Just a lil reseller tip...take any packed box and put it in a sturdy trash bag-tape it secure and closed and then use Pirate Ship and when inputting the pkg info, chose box in bag option and watch that price go DOWN! I mainly ship antique and vintage glass and believe me, it's heavier than a comforter. lol And I've been using this method when I can, mainly for the longer distance ships and it's really saving money, have had NO damage and no issues at all. Try it!!! lol ❤
Had a idea is to buy vacuum bags that you can suck the air out of it. I was able to put more in a box if you shrink it all.. I got a queen bedding in a medium flat rate box. You may ship it to Matt's in California if your closer to his place . Then have Matt ship it when you sell stuff..
💡 Just an idea..... When shipping quilts get some of the space saver bags vacuum all the air out or just a garbage bag make it air tight put the vacuum in the bag with the quilt suck all the air out will be flat and will be able to fit in a small box.... Keep up the good work!
Hi guys!! Go get those deals!!!
i got a vintage dress from a neighbor..and it was SOOOOOO yellow..but so cool.. I cleaned it with Naptha soap..and a variety of laundry cleaners.. and it came out sparkling.. i bet that quilt top would of cleaned as well.. it was beautiful.
You both are soooo patient❤
The angry girl painting was epic!
Vintage Juicy Couture is very in demand right now and sells for good money. Same as the brands Von Dutch, Ed Hardy and Affliction. Definitely be on the look out for those.
The quilt would have been a good buy. People soak them to remove the yellowing.
Curious- soak it in what?
@@timt1543Oxiclean and hot water.
Love the vintage Coach Station bag you got there! ❤❤❤
Hi, near Chicago. I do lots of crafts and get all my craft supplies at yard sales, thrift shops, and rummage sales. Anything I haven't used in a year goes to kids or
seniors program nearby. I got a big bag of great stuff for $5 last week. Tina, Al's wife
laguiole is a good brand for knife well known in France.
Longchamps bags is a french brand very on trend in France back on 2010 .
Longchamp is French pro nounse low shaw in French they make crystal glasses also
Lol omg you guys are terrrrrrrible 😂 You showed the price of the skier she claimed was worth $400 😂 I felt some second hand embarrassment. 😅
I like yard sale specifically in Palms Springs in an awesome neighborhood I found Givenchy jewelries $5 bucks and others other stuff.Thank you for sharing your yard sale experience 💓🌷❤️🌹
Wow nice job you two navigating that sale!
I love watching❤ you two. This was fun.
Nice weather . Freezing in Ky .
