These are my local trails and they’re so awesome! Shoutout to Evergreen and all the volunteers for building/maintaining these trails. We’ve got such a great community! 🤘🏽
Thanks for showing the impact and importance of these community supported trails. The jumping aspect is so inclusive of riders who are otherwise unable to progress. It is nearly impossible or at least improbably that a good rider can learn basic jumping skills without community support that allows progressive jump lines.
Nice to see you on our local trails. Especially happy to see you on the more natural trails on Howdy Neighbor (trail 4) and lynx (mycelium). You went way faster then I ever have but you seem to have fun, so all good.
Next time you're in NC you should check out San-Lee Park. Builders there were able to add to the technical single track and make an awesome downhill flow progression with just 73 Ft. of elevation. It has green to black trails and it was all publicly funded!
You actually got PUBLIC $$$ to make the trails? Someone pulled some serious sweet talking. All the trails out west are all YOU BUILD and THEN hope the local stick up their arse political bureaucrat doesn't decide to rip them out. Eventually they designate areas you can build trails in. Signage has gotten better over the years that is for sure.
So wild living in New England and occasionally bumping into Phil while riding. After moving to Washington last year, apparently now I have a chance to bump into Phil while riding still haha.
Nice video Phil! Awesome bonus sideview clip of one of the jumps with styling in the air. Also, you guys were lucky to get a really beautiful sunny day!
Yeah, i have to say, I'm a huge sucker for the owl paccino trail and cool runnings. The jumps make a great place to progress and get comfortable with airtime
Nice vid. Got to come back in September and October when we start to get rain. People think its tacky and perfect here year round, but in the summer months it gets devilishly loose.
i used to train for two hours every morning at a park called finn hill / St Eds, there was nothing to ride but parks in the winter. ever sense, i only ride back country trails. You might like ranger creek and suntop, devils gulch was good, you really get a deep woods feeling on the middle fork skykomish
Sweet looking trails. I know what you mean about terrible lighting for GoPro footage despite looking like a beautiful sunny day! lol It's hard to film with such high contrast shadows and highlights. I feel like some of my best and easiest to watch footage has come from "gray" days.
16:21 Phil is a Disney Princess, confirmed! 😂 I've seen deer Near the trails, but never running the trails with me! This looks like a great set of trails!
@@SkillsWithPhil Through the video, I was thinking how wild that was, can only imagine in your shoes! That is something I'd be telling people all the time! Closest encounter I had, I was shooting archery, and a deer came walking about 15ft behind me as I was pulling the arrows out of the target!
I was riding Grand Ridge in Issaquah, WA and there was a mother and baby deer standing in the trail. The baby laid down flat and the mother ran away, but just cut the switchback so she was in my way again when I came around the next turn.
pro line is so much bigger in person you hitting them without knowing the speed made me nervous lol. i feel like i’d have to get towed in if i ever tried them
I love talking to people but I can get pretty overwhelmed in large crowds, so I usually don't broadcast my whereabouts. I like running into people serendipitously on the trail.
@@SkillsWithPhil I totally get that ! Maybe next time or sometime we will cross paths or trails lol …..Pilchuck tree farm is a fun place ….Pilchuck tract side blue and black Squamish style trails
Hey Phil I know you probably won’t see this but if you ever go to Colorado you should go to Trestle bike park in winter park it’s made by the same people who created whistler and you would love it
Hey Phill amazing video! I love about a hour from Port Gamble. If you go a hour south of there to Gig harbor there is a place called 360 trails. You should check it out they are really fun!
pls post a duthie vid. Also if ur in town for a bit i reccomend tiger mtn and raging river and if you ask some locals nicely exit 27 is pretty awesome!
It’s the sound of the oil flowing through the rebound circuit in his fork. Not uncommon but definitely more common on fox stuff than rockshox. Some forks are just louder than others.
@SkillsWithPhil man you didn't hit the good stuff! On your way to whistler which ill be at for crankworkx Thursday to Sunday you got do galbraith and chuckanut you not seen anything
i know a very good mountain bike park in western colorado. i think you would enjoy it. it has a proline where you have to sign your life away but i wont speak any more pls check it out. Also love the content

You are lucky, they are awesome!
Mycelium and Trail 4 are some of my favorites and it’s rad to see Phil just blast down them! Glad you had fun dude!!
What a killer moment having a deer run the trail with you!

Riding the double black jump trail blind blows my mind. I'm jealous of your skils!

Incredible skills on a bike, awesome to watch. Thanks for all the videos!
I’m not even done with the video but that second jump trail was sick and you rode it so flawlessly. Awesome.
Great to see your in the western states, Looking forward to your visits and vlogs.
Dudes bike setup is absolutely dialed, we need a run through on everything your bike has and what you setup you recommend for us 🔥💪💯
Whenever I'm too concerned about setuping stuff on my MTB's I go ride my 25 yrs old BMX 😅 works everytime: annnd it's gone!

Only a few hours from my home town! Love Port Gamble. Only go for the ren-fair but now I wanna go to ride! lolol
its a testament to your skill that you can send a full pro line mostly blind
Nice to see you two out in the PNW. Have a blast. Looking forward to next video.
Phil! How did you like Duthie Hill? I was just there for the second time today myself!
Thanks for all you do for the community!

Phil, if you are still in WA, you need to check out the riding in Port Angeles.
No longer in the area, but I've raced there :)

Hell yeah Phil! PG is one of the dopest spots around. If you’re still in the area, the Silverdale Trek shop is a dope shop to check out!
I’ve learned about two new berries today! Love your videos. First northern dewberries now thimble berries. Strange day
There's also salmonberries which was a new one to me!
Dig those shades, Phil!

Such good trail there!
Watching you pull the bikes out of the car I realized how much more difficult I've been making it by going in front-forward with mine.
There's definitely an art to loading bikes!

Wow nice!!!
What happend with the blue bike, the dolphin one?
Where is this place at.
You probably won’t see this, but if you haven’t already, go to Galbraith in Bellingham in Washington
I remember having jumps like that back in '73. I destroyed my bike on one of them.
Were you there on a weekday afternoon? It looks like a pretty solid park and a beautiful day, but there was nobody there.
I gotta ask . What is your favourite bike park you have been to . My favourite is when you went to Whistler park
Does this mean Phil is heading to whistler crankworx? 🤔 content last time was 🔥
gonna make the trip up to Bellingham?
'Owl Pacino' - maybe it's because you have to be able to see in the dark.
SKILLS WITH PHIL CAME TO MY LOCAL PARK AND I MISSED IT?!
so the air'y sound your suspension makes when it decompresses, that's a normal sound? or an indication of some kind of maintenance/cleaning is needed?

Some noise is normal, but my shock is cavitated, and I haven't had time to send it in for service. 🙃
You headed to Whistler?
You should go to loon mountain to mountain bike
Must have just missed you.
Certified Case 😂
Warnings are for squirrels people don't read that, some gap with poisonous spikes would be far more effective 😂
maybe should call it a deer catcher 😂
