The fact every wuwa character has their own unique plunge attacks shows how creative the dev team is. In genshin every weapon Type has only one plunge attack 😂
I like that wuwa has more personality. Each of them has individual animations, (except for gunner's aim-shot & aerial attack) In genshin, you cant even tell difference between nauvelitte, Barbara, kokomi cuz all 3 turn into blue orb when they plunge. If you're catalyst of different element, then you will turn to orbs of different color but thats it.
Considering she was the only tall female polearm character at the time it seemed unique but that animation would definitely be used for other tall female polearm users like Raiden and Candace.
The recycled animations in Genshin are one of the biggest reasons I never enjoyed that game. You get a brand new character, just to find out his animations are the same as other characters you already have. Its baffling to me people never complained about that.
honestly even if they (genhsin) have good basic attack animation you'll most of the time never get to see them cause all you do is press E and Q then switch. you only see basic attacks if it's the core part of the gameplay which most of the time requires elemental infusion cause physical damage is pretty much useless and confuses me why can't they just remove it at this point lol.
@@Cedricccccccc If they remove Physical, a lot of the characters would lose value in some way. For example: Kazuha's C6, Diluc's infusion on ult, Ayaka's infusion on dash. Basically it's something that has to be removed from as early as v1.0 ~ v1.1 if they want to do so.
"moveset are recycled" THIS IS WHAT I'VE BEEN SAYING. The moveset between new characters don't feel any different than others! That's why it's getting less and less exciting to be hype for new characters cause it's just like the old ones

i mean they can still do it if we ask for tho, wuwa only been released for 1-2months. and the fact that they listen to players and really cares about us shows that anything is possible unlike Genshin
Genshin's claymore hold attack is basically the exact same as BotW's two handed weapons hold attack animation. They can't even came up with a new one 🤦♂️
It's even more than the normal/plunge and charged attack themselves, where you REALY see the attention to detail is when the character actualy stop attacking, in Wuwa, after EVERY SINGLE attack of a combo, when you breack the combo and stop attacking, each character has unique animations to get back to neutral position, and to clarify, I'm talking AFTER the animation of the attack, when you are no longer locked in the animation, you regain control of the character, the animation that play if you don't imput any other attack or mouvement, if you mouve or do another attack these animations are skiped. The best exemple for that IMO is Danjin, when you use her E, she start dual wielding her blood sword, wich disapear after the combo, they couls have easily used a single animation for her to do it, but no, all these have distinct animation (I use a controler, Y being basic attack and X being skill, it's easier than sayin clicks and E): Y Y>Y Y>Y>Y Y(hold) Y(hold+50%forte gauge) Y(hold+50%forte gauge)>Y Y>X Y>Y>X Y>Y>X>X Y>Y>Y>X Y>Y>X>X>X Y>Y>X>X>X>X After ALL of them, the animation to get to her neutral position is different, for no fucking reasons other than looking cool, and it's true for every character.
Fortunately, the rare amount of character that really uses plunge attacks have a unique animation in their kit (Xiao, Gaming, Xianyun) and on all others characters we technically don't see this animation in their gameplay unless we decide to do useless move just because.
I say, Genshin doesn't really need it animation to be overly flashy like Wuwa does since it core combat is alot different from Wuwa. In Genshin where elemental reaction take the center stage they just need the animation clear precise and functional to work so there isn't more dozen things happening on screen, but there are exception to this with character that have specific mechanics that is emphasized with their own flashy animation when performing such task. Like how Itto have his own unique Charge Attack and Clorinde and Childe skills turned them into different kind of playstyle with their own unique effects and many other character that also did this. Wuwa combat being very straight forward without other stuff like elemental reaction like Genshin tie to it combat really needed the animation bump since if it doesn't it will fall flat and would be worse then Genshin does. So being over the top it really needed. It's like comparing the Greek God of War to the Norse God of War game releases just recently. Greek GoW needed it gameplay to be flashy while the Norse GoW doesn't need it combats to be overly flashy due to it different combat style compare to the Greek GoW.
