Hi, new watcher of your Channel. You forgot a lot of reasons like u dont need to pay for QoL in WuWa. For example a full exploration Team in GI cost u 1200+ USD if u unlucky, Natlan makes it even worse.
@@nevermore6540 WuWas is made with unreal engine 4 not 5 which was released 2014, so no new technology. PGR also imade by Kuro Games is older than GI,PGR and GI have same engine, PGR has better Animation, Character Models, Visual Effects but no openworld, ist is not an openworld game
Your definition of better is not a fact tho. I enjoyed Sumeru, Fontaine and I like Natlan. There is something in Genshin, Wuwa simply cannot provide and there is something in Wuwa, Genshin cannot provide. Both games are enjoyable. However, you are just another CC who is taking the opportunity to s h i t on GI and get as many clicks as possible. Anyways, the rent is due.
@@Tamytaummta TCG is fun, but it should be separate game, like Gwen in The Witcher 3, instead Hoyo should focus more on the "GENSHIN" experience, which sadly they did not.
TCG are the worst thing in the game. Ive already done TCG and being an Lv 10, and my experience its not good, the animation is so long i feel like i want to rip off myself. I guess moving TCG to "Download able content" is pretty much better move rather than forcing someone to download it, its better for mobile and PC who have a small storage.
@@itzwillow5220 I think I’m AR 57 in Genshin. And same for me. I really don’t have anything against Genshin. I just had this video on my mind for a while and finally decided to make it

*You're not wrong though.* I agree that WuWa does things so much better than Genshin Impact. In my case, Wuthering Waves killed any and all desire for me to continue playing Genshin. The QoL in WuWa dumpsters Genshin and Kuro Games has shown itself to be a far more respectable company than Hoyoverse; if Kuro's other game, Punishing Gray Raven, is anything to go by-- what with it's incredible Gacha system, I couldn't blame anyone for going buck wild with spending in a Kuro Games' game. And Kuro has made it clear that it's not about the money; it's about the good times. They said it themselves; they don't care about making the big bucks. As long as they make enough to keep the lights on, they're cool. *You gotta respect that, right there.*
@@SmithOfGear92 exactly. I should have shown that part in my video where the CEO of Kuro said that. That was solid gold. I think WuWa has set the gold standard going forward. There’s always room for improvement but it’s a big step forward.
@@arthurgeier2545 probably. I’m looking forward to Azur Promilia and several other games as well. I’ll be patiently waiting for one day the Koreans to make a good gacha game so we’re not stuck with bullshit Chinese politics and censorship.
@@arthurgeier2545 Yeah burnout exist, but it is very strange how once people started to play WuWa they just so happen to burnout on Genshin. It is kind of like WuWa woke up the Genshin players and they decided to stop eating slop for once and play a better game.
@@iko20101 Nonsense. Many still play Genshin. This is what we simply call "new toy syndrome". The character banners are 50/50s just like in Genshin. 4* weapons (including 4* BP weapons) for DPS units are sort of mid (some even below), forcing you to pull for 5* standard weapons or sig weapons. Sure, if you are willing to spend, you will get those cool weapons without having to deal with 50/50s unless you wanna cope with subpar 4* DPS weapons. I don't see how Wuwa woke up people. This is straight up bullshit Kurobot propaganda. Wuwa is carried hard by its flashy combat but claiming it woke up people is a stretch.
genshin feels outdated and rusty, I completly agree with you when you speak about combat, genshin is easier and people and enjoy it, but WuWa is refined
Yah of course a game that came out 4 years ago feels outdated like obviously while they can make updates and upgrades to the game the base work of it is a 4 year old game

Even the zzz dev team already making them look pathetic in just 2 updates
Genshin is just a milking cow they dont want to really improve anything on the game cause of their arrogance, as long as genshin makes money nothing else matters for them. Just throw some updates to make the playes do something for a few minutes per patch and they will be happy; I think thats the mentality of the genshing devs.

Holy shiz, i thought I'm actually bad and having bad matching to players but the Co-Op is actually pretty challenging. Personally it gave the same feeling when fighting the Red aura mobs in overworld. I hope they do more of this

Oh. My. Lawd. I'm so, so, SO unbelievably happy (and vindicated) to hear I wasn't alone in begging Hoyoverse for a goddamn skip button. Their writers need humbled, they think WAY too highly about their ability to write dialogue and storytell. It is THE reason I quit Genshin after Fontaine released. I had other gripes but none grated on me as much as trudging through endless dialogue scrolls. When I saw Wuthering Waves allows you to skip nearly all of their cutscenes, I immediately thought, "I hope this game trounces Genshin for no other reason than to humble Hoyo."
and Genshin fandom keeps on critizing wuwa's flaws and I'm thankful to them making wuwa better because our devs are listening instead of crying on a stage.
After that joke called 5.3, I have finally converted. Quitting Genshin and starting WuWa. In 5.3 Genshin showed their real greedy face they put two new character banners and two new weapon banners together and giving lantern rite rewards (20 pulls) AFTER the banners expire. Not to mention these banners come right after they run TWO ARCHONS(Zhongli and Neuvillette) in 5.2. What's even more frustrating is that there aren't enough primos being provided to actually pull for even one of these two characters in 5.3(Mavuika and Citlali). No new map or expansion. They are giving just 30-40 pulls worth of primos which aint enough everyone knows it. So it's clear they want players to pay money if they wanna pull for the Pyro Archon Mavuika(which honestly her gameplay is shit just look at that ugly bike they're pushing their luck). They won't give us primos. They won't give us Lantern Rite rewards rn. They know fully well they have drained people's primos by running Neuvillette right before Mavuika. So pay now. Even the writing quality of Natlan is a slap in the face for those who enjoyed Sumeru and Fontaine writing. The writing, character designs, character playstyles, gameplay, environment, quests... EVERYTHING ABOUT NATLAN IS MID AND DOWNGRADE compared to Sumeru and Fontaine. I hate Natlan with passion. Anyway this is it. The end of Genshin journey for me(and many others I presume). But I'm a console player(PS5) so waiting for WuWa to release on console. Any advice which characters are good?
@@ArthurShotgun I have a beginners guide that might help you starting out with what characters to look at getting. But in that guide I don’t talk much about limited banner characters. To answer straight to the point: Carlotta is going to be the first limited character on banner you’ll see. She’s going to be VERY good so you can’t go wrong with trying for her. A couple banners later, Jinhsi will be coming back, and she’s one of the best. So there’s two to look out for. For the standard banner: Verina and Encore

After playing Wuwa I can’t play Genshin the same knowing it could’ve been much more. I do still enjoy both games and I actually play Genshin a lot more than I play WuWa. That said, I still acknowledge from a gameplay perspective WuWa is better in that sense. I’m just still playing Genshin because I’m still interested in its story.
I quit Genshin at Adventure Rank 59, and having moved to Wuthering Waves since Version 1.0 was an absolute godsend. I've been playing Wuthering Waves extensively since release, with only minor breaks taken due to life circumstances (not the game's fault at all), and I've just been happy with WuWa. My waves have thoroughly been wuthered, and I couldn't be more proud of Kuro Games for making a game that actually competes with Genshin, rather than the failed killers that have been obscured by time .
When I first played Genshin, the first 100-ish hours, where I would just casually do the main story were decently enjoyable (though the slow pacing starts feeling really bad after that much time), but the moment the enemies started getting more health at around AR 40-45 and when I actually wanted to start building my characters it just takes FOREVER. I played for around 200 hours and guess how many fully built characters I have? Zero! Nada! Meanwhile in WuWa, at no point did the enemies ever feel like damage sponges, I have 6 maxed out characters and I never had to grind character xp or weapon xp, only shell credits, talent materials, boss materials and echo xp. Also never had to grind monster drops, because grinding echoes around the map is actually fun (imagine that lol).
honeslty the only good thing about Genshin are reactions and building characters, story is good but the animations and in game "cinematics" sucks, even NPCs walk like robots and all repetitive sh1t. 🤣🤣 I have to skip the whole thing and just ask AI to summarize archon quest.
I’m currently enjoying WuWa more then Genshin personally, Natlan so far is kinda a flop for me, the Aztec aesthetic/clown paint really doesn’t do it for me and the characters released so far don’t give me the vibe of “a nation of war”. Also playing WuWa and honkai starrail, it’s becoming very very apparent that that the genshin devs aren’t really interested in providing quality of life updates to players
@@risingstar9903 oh I’m well aware HSR is hoyo, that wasn’t my point. Genshin has been out for 4 years now and there’s many basic quality of life things that haven’t happened that HSR and WuWa have already jumped on. It’s becoming very noticeable
5:30 oh, to add on to this, the Hoverdroid, which was added in 1.2 can one shot all ores and rocks except for the one that has yellow cracks in it other ways to break ores are using echos like Jue and Fallcy, as well as specific attacks from some characters like Jianxin's plunge atk also breaks all ores instantly.
Genshin feels like a game until AR55-60 and then it's just a gaming novel, you play for the story and everything else makes you angry. They never reward old faithful players.
this new co-op event makes Co-Op shines even more, and i've been hyped for the upcoming Horde Mode event in Phase 2 Also the new Black Shores exploration didn't consists even a single puzzle challenges, or even parkour challenges and solely focused on Combat to get chests and tidal heritage, which I ADORE so much! Kuro knew how good the combat in the game and they decided to double down and gives the players more combat for the exploration in this patch. Heck even the optional Elite Red Enemies now is mandatory for getting a 100% Completion since they also give you 3 chests each enemies instead of just an achievement.

Every single thing I can think of - Wuthering Waves is just better than Genshin. I remember playing Genshin and feeling so exhausted trying to finish the Fontaine quest and feeling like I was hating my life exploring some desert for some quests and also feeling bitter every single time I lose my 50/50 in hard pity - which is every single time lol. Oh and I remember my frustrations with the enemies in abyss cause they either kept running away or freezing you. It wasn't fun at all. But now in WuWa, every single thing is fun. Exploring is fun. I can skip random dialogues and with summaries now. I'm quite lucky with characters and I got a couple for free. I got every single character and weapon I wanted. I looove fighting in all end-game stuff. And the fact that the devs are constantly communicating and rewarding players as well as improving their game - Genshin just cannot compare.
genshin has better world i guess. Also its not that hard to travel like u got teleport waypoint every 200m. u are lazy if u cant walk this much and even genshin has many characters who can climb wall or run fast which are 4 star. And 50-50 is part of game. its just like complaining alcohol will kill you but u still drinks. If wuwa pity is easier then everyone has that character u are pulling for so there wont be much excitement about it. i think u just want free things thats all.
@@Spacecowboy1997 it's highly subjective, bro. I didn't even mention it. But if you ask me, Genshin has massive bloating of dialogues and has a lot of unnecessary mini-quests in an archon quest that only made the story unnecessary longer. I only played up until Fontaine and: Mondstadt was mid (story-wise) but I enjoyed it bc I like Venti, Liyue was the most memorable as I loved the place (and Xiao), Inazuma was just sad - potential was not met; it was bad overall but Kazuha's moment was great, Sumeru was pretty good but it was longer that it needed to be (Scara was great tho), and finally, Fontaine had a good ending that paid off all the pain getting through everything... but I wouldn't wanna do it again. Story quests-wise, 80% seemed filler, remaining was good, but overall unmemorable. Unvoiced quests were hell to get through but had pleasant endings. Overall, Genshin's story had a lot of potential, but it took its time and had a lot of painful, unnecessary, time-consuming things that can take away one's interest. It's not as good as you think, but it's not as bad as people would make it out to be. WuWa's story on the other hand is a lot darker and more to my taste tbh. It had a lot of great moments but it started pretty weak. It's stable and better now tho. But it's not perfect like Genshin. (I hate what they're doing to both mcs tho. I hate Gary Stus.) However, you can just skip through the pain in WuWa which makes it more pleasant to sit through. Plus the cinematography is so much better in WuWa. I guess I really can't compare which is better cause again - _subjective,_ and if you really wanna say Genshin has a better story - fine, I guess. But WuWa's story is more enjoying to do and they're games that are meant to be enjoyed sooo! That's what I think. Sorry long reply -- if I didn't say why I prefer WuWa's story I'd just be called a hater, so! Just wanna make it clear that Genshin was not all black to me. It had its great moments that I still love, and WuWa had its bad moments that I still hate.
@@haxxx-mv1lg I agree on the 50/50 part - but my point was simple and you missed it: I'm way luckier in WuWa. That's it. Their pity system in the weap banner is better tho. And bc of their rewards, I got every character _and_ weap that I wanted and more. If you think that's not exciting, think about grinding every quest and event and explo (even if it's painful to me), on the top of spending monthly and bp for your fav chars, skipping meta chars, only to end up not getting them so you have to wait for months or a year where there's no guarantee. How is it exciting to play a game where you can't play w/ your fav chars? It's better to get them early ofc! The exploration part I would highly disagree. You said a lot of characters in Genshin can climb wall or walk fast. What if you don't have them? And why should you need them? Their explo QoLs are locked behind certain characters or regions while every single WuWa char can do all of that - _and_ has characters that can run faster. Stamina is better in WuWa - you never run out unless you have skill issue in battles. There's a grippling hook, an echo that turns you into a motor-frickin'-cycle, mining is easier and can be done by every char), etc.
@redfoxakame if u are more luckier in wuva then it's not genshin fault. And fav characters are like 3 or 4 not every so u can easily save for them. I lost 50-50 to hutao and got her in the same banner under 20 days through events and little bit of exploring. And if you find doing events and exploring the world boring then what are u here for.
Damn, and here's me sticking to genshin all these months. Still, I haven't seen anything interesting for me from Wuthering Waves that could make me play the game too. Genshin just feels too alive and mesmerizing, I like the chill and atmospheric play style
I mean just spend like 2 hours on wuthering waves and you can already tell. Anyone who refuses to believe it is being delusional by their own bias. And this is coming from someone with over 1000 hours on Genshin, unfortunately. The more I play wuthering, the less I want to play Genshin which is unfortunate because Genshin could be so much better yet they refuse to listen to their audience.
After seeing the number of people that couldn't follow what was going on in the 1.3 story, and trashed it as a result, I now understand why Paimon exists. Some people need a Paimon.
Your first point is wrong because they need to acquire players, so the ""generosity" is subjective and a very diabolic psychological tactic to woo players into investing time into the game. World exploration, genshin is objectively better. Exploration has no equation to mobility. Mobility is a tiny factor to exploration and the world itself is more important in "World Exploration" not mobility. WW Mobility is much better, the world to explore is dull and uninteresting by every metric. Characters are awfully written and have the personality of a loaf of wet bread. Voice acting is laughable in WW to where you can't take the game seriously on top of the story being objectively elementary. WW has a story skip because they can't write a story for the life of them. End of the day play what you want, to say a game that came out 4 years later and compare to 4 year old content and mechanics shows you are not worthy of a sub or critical thinking skills. You say you play one extensively but talk about obsolete characters and only the 3rd nation of a game that has 6 now. you played half the game.

It ultimately depends on what you value in a game. I completely understand why someone would much prefer WuWa over Genshin but I still prefer Genshin because it has specific aspects which I find more important. I say this as a casual player, I think Genshin (subjectively) destroys Wuwa in terms of music, world building, exploration (not stamina wise like the world), and prefer the vibrant feel of the game. Pulls are a good thing but since I don't really connect with Wuwa characters or any gacha in general, I don't really care to pull a lot of the time. QOL wise, I never really feel inconvenienced in Genshin or Wuwa. Can't really speak on the new player experience since I'm not a new player and don't like endgame content for both games, I don't enjoy any endgame content in any gacha tbh.
I agree! I appreciate Genshin so much because of how alive the world feels based on the music, worldbuilding and tons of characters interactions in the game. That’s Genshin’s biggest strength imo. I now play more for story (since I 100% the entire Genshin map except for Natlan) and honestly, I do prefer it more because there are more characters to interact with
I play both, the story and characters in genshin are still my favorites so far, wuwa story wise is still very bland rn, but honestly it’s worth checking the game since the combat is so entertaining

Day 1 Genshin and WuWa player here. Though I agree with a lot of your talking points, Wuthering Waves still lacks polish a little bit. My love for the elemental reaction system have now completely disappeared after Neuvillette and Arlecchino. They are too comfy and they don't care about any kind of elemental reaction (aside from Neuv passive activation which just happens naturally). As it turns out, I never needed the reaction. Using the reaction never actually enhances my output it's just a thing that exist. Because of this I am now aware of the combat for what it is. Hoyo have made mono element damage the king and I can never go back to engaging with the elemental reaction because there is no need. Since I am not engaging with the elemental reaction, the combat becomes a complete joke and a slog. Genshin have good story, but it's a game. I wonder when Hoyoverse forgets that a game needs actual engaging gameplay. Genshin have become a light novel for me. I have 0 need to pull for anyone nor do I care to pull for anyone. I have skipped Kinich, Mualani, Mavuika I might pull just for collection sake, but judging from past trends, she will be designed to work best with Natlan char which I have none and the whole package will become obsolete next year. I literally have 510 pulls f2p saved up. I wish I can refund every dime I spent on the game though it's not much. I don't need to pay anything if it's just a Light Novel to read.
@@SolaceSaga I think you just need to make a more deep analysis on points that need depth, like some enemies in genshin have unique mechanics like ousia pneuma and nightsoul, but they are not as fun to fight as wuwa's bosses and enemies IMHO. I'm not against you, just giving a suggestion.

Hahahaha that's the only thing you guys could utter, the revenue 😂. Of course hoyoverse games beats wuwa like a kid when it comes to revenue cause hoyoverse games are simply more predatory compared to wuwa
because wuwa literally give you your money's worth. no 50/50 in the weapon banner, getting the desired weapon is already better. you need 270 pulls in genshin (in the past) to 100% the chance, whereas wuwa only marks it at 80. i play both GI and HSR to the endgame, but wuwa singe-handedly makes me play their games solely because I know I won't need to completely waste my time grinding artifacts and hearing paimon yapping 24/7. i've spent quite a sum of money in GI and HSR, but I left them for good now.
*sigh* Here goes the drama again. With videos like this. I don’t think the drama between Genshin and WW will ever ends. Like can we all just calm tf down and enjoys which ever game we like? Comparison will only spark wars and no one likes each other trashing the game we like. UA-camrs is a different scenarios though since often not benefit over the drama.
@@risingstar9903 this isn’t drama. This is me sharing my opinions about why I think Wuthering waves is a better game. And I’m not benefitting from shit my channel is insanely small and I am brand new to UA-cam. I make videos that I have fun doing. But go off somewhere
@@SolaceSaga Well I’m not saying you specifically. But tbf the comment section itself is a drama though. I mean, you’re UA-camr I think you know this as of now, but often other UA-camrs like to compare between Genshin and WW because often it gets them views WW. Like I respect your opinion and do understand it is but an opinion
Get used to it man . When wuwa youtubers run out of content . This is what they love to do . Trash genshin . Out of no where. For no reason. It's thier go to strategy for keeping the channel in the algorithm
@@user-og9nl5mt1b Well I wouldn’t say my guys was trashing. He did make some valid point that even I myself as a day 1 Genshin players quite agree. I’m talking about other UA-camr overall.
Ok. Good video but the opinion is just cherry picking to be honest. First of all, devs section and generous rewards section should just be one section as they both talk about extremely similar points. Second of all, world exploration might feel less painful in wuthering waves due to its stamina bar, but I can’t help but notice you leave out the actual environment in your analysis. Genshin’s actual environment and aethetic has next to no competition in the field and has been a main praising point for genshin players you overlooked. Exploration is a massive part of an open world game (no duh) and so the environment you explore is a massive point for genshin, I’m sorry but wuthering waves is not even close in that category. It’s bleak, dark, and barely has variety in its locations. Another thing you blatantly ignored in your section on story is why a skip button in wuthering waves was added so quickly in the first place. The story is not engaging at all and while I’m sure the voice actors are talented in their elements, this just isn’t it. The game itself is less refined in all areas and it shows in everything apart from combat (including the need to show off the combat system in their endgame content thus necessitating the need for harder content) and wish related mechanics. Also if you wanna say there’s no argument on what’s better between echo’s and artifacts that’s just blatantly false. Echos are a fun and engaging take on artifacts as a whole that introduces using them in combat as well as getting them from world exploration a bit like Pokémon. It’s innovative and interesting nature, however, falls flat when you realise the grind for perfect artifacts requires much more effort given the need to walk around already explored areas looking for a specific type of enemy that has a small chance of giving you what you want. Keep in mind this is the DAILY LOOP on top of your dailies, resin, ect. Genshin, on the other hand trades boredom for ease of completion with its resin being spent on the only way to attain a consistent flow of artifacts therefore becoming part of the daily loop with no extra effort. While fun in concept, soon echos will become dull just like the artifacts in genshin and the gameplay loop will be even more drawn out and boring for the sake of short term enjoyment.Which is another point I’d like to bring up. How new is wuthering waves compared to genshin? How long have you been doing the daily loop and watching the updates go by on wuthering waves compared to genshin? We are still very much in the honeymoon phase of wuthering waves which adds bias to everyone’s opinions of it. Character design, voice acting, world building and lore, etc etc. these are things genshin beats wuthering waves in but were not mentioned for the sake of cherry picking. And as for the extra rewards you get in wuthering waves compared to genshin, maybe it’s to draw a line and differentiate itself from its one and only competitor (genshin) and is a desperate attempt to keep players interested and playing their game. In the first few weeks of the game release many issues were found and raised, these issues were worked on and given (in my opinion) overcompensation in an attempt to keep players playing given their massive starting player base. Genshin players (myself included) looked to this game as the next big thing and we played it endlessly when it first came out. Week after week rewards kept coming and I honestly believe I didn’t have a single day when I didn’t get either a 5 star or a full ten pull in compensation. This did the opposite of what it was meant to do for one main reason. What’s the point of playing a gacha game I have all the characters for? Why be a gacha at all? This is why I and many others became bored and began to play less and less. Gachas are moneygrabs by nature or else they risk the fan base becoming bored with all the characters in the game and nothing to work towards. There is a middle point that genshin is just now tapping into with the new natlan region and I’m excited moving forward with the absolutely massive quality of life changes given to us this update and hopefully many future updates to come. Again good video man but if you want to try and make a comparison video, make one that looks at both sides as objectively as possible. Genshin and wuthering waves both have their strongsuits but there is a reason genshin (while controversial and hated even among its player base) has retained player attention and stayed on top even now.
Highly agree with the environment aesthetic part I've yet to find a place in wuwa that was breathtaking black shores was just ok in that department The first moment of that breathtaking experience in genshin for me was when we encounter that blue floating spear in the chasm that moment changed my views on environmental aesthetics there are also many places in genshin where you just put the controller aside and just enjoy the view
Most of what you said are the opposite of what you are asking for aka objectivity. Its ether simply subjectivity, just your preference like for exemple the environment, the character design or just plain misunderstanding or bs. Saying Wuthering waves is bleak, dark and barely has variety in its location is totaly a lie. There is a rocky desert corrupted area, post apocalytic city area, swamp area, forest area, mine area, city area, port area etc.. and they look completly different from others. And that's whitout adding the 2 new map area of 1.1 and 1.3. The swamp area is not dark, its litteraly full of floor with a big yeallow light in the middle, exactly like the post apocalyptic city with red flowers, the forest that transform with a realy big sakura type of tree... Sure there is dark areas, Genshin also have some but Genshin is mostly just same color everywhere without almost any contrast. From 1.0 to 1.6 in Genshin all we had is just green, flower, wood and rocks (and some annoying snow) You can prefere it but that's just it, your preference. Then comes the basic explanation of skip button from Genshin players. But the reality is the story of Genshin is not that good. People made fun of it during the 2 first years and the only response given by Genshin players was "but the lore !" The reality is Hi3, Arkinght and many other gacha games have better stories and.. a skip button. At the end the story is also a subjective thing anyway. And the skip button is offered to people that don't want to read or just don't like it. If you don't like the Genshin story or part of it (f the aragnagna thingy) you ether spam your button, mouse or finger or just stop playing. You are the one that talked about dailies etc... At the start and for a long time this quest could have multiple dialogue that you couldn't skip even if you already saw it, if that's not a boring thing added to your daily loop i don't know what it is. Next comes the Echo system, the fact that you thing grind for perfect artifact require more effort just show that you don't play the game or didn't play more than a month. Added that, if you want you can litteraly play it the same way you play Genshin outside of the fact that you'll receive numerous echos with the good main stat from event to help you even further. The overworld grind for echos is just an added opportunity for people that want to do it not an obligation for end game echos with good stats. Its realy easy to have your complete sets with good stats that you can exchange with other chars even in ToA (abyss). Sure you could think at first glance that its basically the same as Genshin and get borring with time, and yes the grind and building of the echo system can end being as boring as Genshin system. But Genshin system end here, when in comparaison the echos system goes way behound that. Its part of the combat system, have its little meta around it, have different application like in the various events we got recently with co op or the illusive realm where echos have different use than in the rest of the game and nothing attached to the grind. Then it saden me to see that you and other genshin players managed to come to a point where you prefere a more predatory gacha because and i quote "What’s the point of playing a gacha game I have all the characters for? Why be a gacha at all?" What is this argument ? Are you telling me you are litteraly happy to not have all the characters that you wanted ? If that the case, you can choose to not pull.. Just saying.
@@Atmo-sp the environment is barely subjective at all and saying wuthering waves is on par with genshin in its variety and contrast is just plain ignorant (no offence). I can’t believe I have to explain why that is any more than simply stating wuthering waves is bleak. The filter in wuthering waves is inherently darker and removes a lot of the colour that makes genshin stand out. 1.0 to 1.6 included not only two very different regions that were different in not only exploration required (liyue has a shit ton of Rocks and mountains, mondstadt is a relatively flat land and is probs the most basic of the regions but still beautiful. Not to mention The cities are much more involved and memorable. As for the story, my argument was not that genshin story was legendary but that wuthering waves is far from decent. Maybe the actual storyline is ok but I’ll never know because the execution of it all was so unbelievably boring that I don’t think anyone actually pays attention. I applaud the game for its innovative combat and actual design in many aspects but it took away from their time in making the story actually bearable. That’s why there is a skip button being implemented so quickly as to keep players attention on the strong points of the game, a great marketing decision. You brought up some good points on the echo system but I also have to point out that even with all of the extra intricacies of it compared to the artifact system in genshin, when time passes and people soon get bored of the grind, it will become a bigger slog then genshin already is. But until that time the echo system is better for the most part. And finally your point on “choosing not to pull so I don’t have all the characters” is ignoring the purpose for not just mine but a lot of others frustration with it’s generosity. Again, I don’t like the way gacha games do their practises but being overly generous harms the game more than helps it. When given everything on a silver platter, it sets a precedent for more rewards and when those expectations aren’t met constantly from now on, people will believe the company is becoming “stingy.” As for your comment on just not pulling, it’s not that I don’t want as many characters as possible, it’s that I want to earn these characters myself without the excessive rewards and compensation. It feels weird to complain about rewards and compensation but it’s the same principle as an overly spoiled child who grew up without a single issue. They will believe this is the norm and won’t want to do things the normal way everyone else does things.
I 100% agree with all points you made except some minor adds from me. The world should look bleak and deserted since the world is indeed corrupted by the retroract rain and the sudden wormholes always engulf zones without any kind of warning as stated in Shorekeeper's new quest. Aside that i agree completely with all the other points. Running around for echoes is more tiring than just going in a domain and grabbing the artifacts. Characters in Genshin are definitely not as sharp as the ones in Wuwa because one its made with 3d engine and the other is not. On the other hand the world immersion is wayy better in genshin. The so called generosity most people do not realise its how Kuro kept their playerbase no matter how small. PGR,their other game is the proof the game is hanging by a thread with the old playerbase but the playerbase keeps going down every month. As u mentioned its a Gacha Game, its meant to be pricey thats how Gacha games survive and more importantly thrive. WuWa has worse revenue every month. Game is good but it slowly dies due to "generosity".
@@matthewbutler678 saying that genshin story is good is a stupid take ngl. It's decent at best, like Wuthering waves story. Nothing sticks and especially Paimon just ruins everything by stating the most obvious stuff at any time. The graphics in my opinion are generally better than genshin's graphics. that's only personal preference though. The only problem i have is that Kuro decided to set the brightness (gamma) to the middle. Lowering that settings make the color pop more. Open world grind in Wuwa can get boring yeah, but the tacet fields are more than enough to grind for echoes. Mallable echoes also help a lot (i still have 6 of them and don't have to use them as of now).
WuWa is the only Gacha I've ever played so I can't speak about the other ones. I've only re-rolled once, and that was after, pretty much doing everything wrong that you can do. IE: didn't pull on the beginner's banner first, using the voucher to get DPS, (Calcharo) instead of support, (Verina), and even burned through astrites for dumb things like leveling the podcast because that's what I thought you were supposed to do. I blew way too many resources trying to level every single unit in my roster, and ended up suffering as a result. Since re-rolling I got Verina with the voucher, got Encore in the beginner's banner until it switched to Beginner's Choice, got Calcharo with the selector, and went into hoard mode concerning shell credits, mats, astrites, and even textured wood shards. I managed to save slightly over 30k astrites to guarantee Jiyan, and I'm glad I did. Not only did I get him, but I managed to pull his sig, got most of my 4-stars well beyond S3, Got Youhu S3, and finally got Variation for Baizhi. I even had 3100 astrites left for future pulls. Now I'm at roughly 6100 astrites (as of today 10-27-2024), and am saving for Yinlin. I busted my ass to get Xiangli because I re-rolled 4 days before his banner ended. My point is, I don't think any other gacha would have as much generosity to allow players to do that. I went from a completely trash account to a decent one, and am now having a lot more fun with the game. My roster has two limited 5-stars, (Jiyan, and Xiangli Yao) as well as 3 standard 5-stars (Verina, Encore, Calcharo) along with Havoc Rover. The only things I truly lost were Zhezhi, and the phantom Dreamless skin, (but I don't miss that one.), and I have 3 5-star weapons, (Verdant Summit, Lustrous Razor, Cosmic Ripples). To add to the fun, I'm 100% F2P, and have not spent a penny...yet, lol.
Genshin is broken anyway for example did your dev tells you about the Time Gap of that artifact editor? Da Wei Cry for what? they've listen? really? 4million players EVERYDAY! and have a SURVEY why they cant do properly? EVEN A FCKING ARTIFACT LOAD OUT? im not really surprise how stupid genshin player is that they didnt even notice... they need paimon to REPEAT IT FOR YOURSELF! and the MC is a fcking NPC in the background!
wuwa shill? bro didtlnt watch the video. genshin is broken and the only obsessive ex are the addicted genshin impact players tryung to cope on their extra 3 pulls for their lantern rite😂😂😂😂😂
another day, another genshin dck rider trying to cope bc its only a matter of time when azur promilia, project mugen and neverness to everness comes out and genshin will look like an oitdated version
Damn… for someone like me who’s part of both communities, wow - people are so obsessed with these, huh? Looking at it from a wider perspective, it’s funny to see people constantly fighting: ‘my game is better than your game,’ comparing both games, nitpicking here and there. I mean, when you see freaking adult but they’re fighting on the internet about gacha games, like, sorry, but it’s really funny to me.
If you watched the first 30 seconds of my video then you’d know that I also play both games. Unless your comment is directed to other people in this thread?
@nguyenho5859 it's not even fighting for this you like. This is comparing two free games and think that your opinion matters more then some one else. Let people play the games they want. If you think wuwa is better, play wuwa. If you think genshin is better, play genshin.
It may not be the CCs intentions to cause fights between the communities(execpt for Tectone), but they indrectly caused provocations, thus leading to fights between the communities. I mean just the title itself is a provocation even if that's not the CC's intention.
@@catgirllover666rockstargodmonk correction: most Genshin players are little kids who have to get their iPad from mommy and daddy to play Genshin and they sure ain’t on UA-cam looking at videos. But anyways thanks for the comment send this video to all your Genshin friends and tell them to comment too
Did you play the game tho? Seems like hoyo think you didn't play genshin enough since they bothered to add some limited time event just to reward the one that actually play the game by exploring stuff 😂 "The story is really good" they said "You play the game not for the reward" they said Well, hoyo basically said "Here some reward for player that have been gone for a while now, please play our game again 😢"
Good video, Seeing PGR collabing with DMC5 makes me even more excited about WuWa's future. Wuwa is still new and isn't ready for any collab right now but it gets better every update. From what i've seen from leaks, illusive realm will be a weekly like tower and other new endgame content etc. looks pretty good for me. in the future wuwa def will have huge collabs like pgr which will make the game even better
I logged into Genshin for the first time since Wuwa released and I did the new character trials, and I tried to run up effing walls!!! And I pressed my thumb mouse button (because I linked the gadget to that in WuWa) trying to use grappling hook and I got confused and held down Alt (They key I use to swap gadgets) to see if I had grappling hook on...and then I realized and faceplanted against my desk calling myself a moron.
I love both games but this is honestly toxic positivity at this point. Tbf idgaf which game is better and i think both are pretty even, but the fact the wuwa gets only praise and genshin gets only criticism is crazy to me. Wuwa is not a perfect game so why is it only getting praise? Genshin is not completely doghshit so why is that all it’s getting? I think there’s a lot in wuwa better than genshin for sure (combat animation, gacha system, movement, etc). But there are also things that genshin does better than wuwa (story and lore, world building, exploration/combat opportunity regarding its elements). Wuwa only getting praise and practically no criticism is not helpful for the game. 1.3 is great, but not perfect. there were many problems with it like how the story focused only on shorekeeper and not encore, aalto, camellya, youhu or anyone else and how the pacing was far too quick to get me invested in the story. The map was too small and empty to justify 1.2 being a filler patch and they’re already rerunning characters. Criticise that. If we continue to give wuwa praise only then the game will get used to churning out whatever and expecting comments like “kuro keeps cooking” and “genshin could never”. I’m not saying kuro isn’t “cooking” (they are), but not to the exaggerated extent that most make it out to be. Final thing, comparing wuwa to genshin is a death sentence and benefits neither games. Wuwa has lost a considerable amount of players since launch, no doubt affected by this whole wuwa vs genshin war. Genshin sees that wuwa is losing players and guess what? They can go back to completely not trying as their competitor is slowly crumbling by its own community. TLDR: wuwa loses its players and genshin becomes even more complacent. It’s ok to give ur opinion on which game is better, but know that its not helpful to either games and u really should just play whichever game u prefer or just play both.
If anyone read through all of this and is planning to give me smack for it, go ahead, idc. I’m not a “kuro shill” nor a “hoyo shill” and anyone who says otherwise falls into one of those categories.
Thankfully, I do think Kuro is getting criticism for Wuwa but mostly in the feedback box and surveys. Otherwise Kuro wouldn’t put out the QoL stuff and improvement in music and voice acting. I will continue to criticize them on Wuwa’s story and device optimization. I believe they will eventually get there, but only if people continue to put their thoughts in the surveys and troubleshooting. Appropriate and constructive criticism is needed for both games to improve. And I hope Kuro Games and Hoyoverse will pay attention to those and not the glazing.
From what I see all this comparison would just discourage genshin players from trying out wuwa if all they think about wuwa is that it's full of players who criticizes genshin. It sets some sort of defensive mechanism using their pride NOT to try wuthering waves.
I know. It's both, wuwa elitist & genshin fanatics. Like, can't we play both games in peace? Neither billion dollar company is gonna pay you for defending their games.
Honestly if you're that defensive you wouldn't like WuWa either way because of the strong Genshin bias. To enjoy WuWa or well any game of the same genre you have to be open to it.
@@alvinnugraha5264 same here. I played Genshin for 3 years and even spent money here. And now playing WuWa I can confirm Kuro's game is way better. It basically gave me everything from the start that I wanted to see in Genshin for years.
to be frank. i didn't think i nid the summary and archive of the story until they add it into the game. now i spend time reading it ingame and the map list skipping, and the flower auto marking. man that's just overall nice.
Genshin also reduced the weapon to 50/50. But the logic is if I dont have enough primogems I wont spend money knowing I can lose. While in Wuwa there’s no losing so it’s easier to top up.
Ellusive Realms are such a great content for all the different "builds" you can pull off to do the challenges, and you hardly repeat the same method even using the same character to do all the levels. Heck, my favorite is making Baizhi, a Ok Healer going full DPS and do bigger numbers that my DPS Dealers (Jiyan, Changli, Xiangli Yao).
So from all the comments i read you glaze those that agree with you but call idiots or morons those that do not agree. I spent more money in Genshin than on WuWa. I cleared all hard content on WuWa and i got burned out in 2 months prior. I came back after 1 month break and took it much slower than before. WuWa is better on 3 things only. Combat, exploration, artifact system. On the other departments falls quite flat and that is sad because the game has potential. Devs listen because they are constantly having lower revenues every month. PGR made by kuro hangs on the old players, barely any new players. If you do not believe me,check the charts, those do not lie. Most players arent tryhards for combat, most players quit WuWa because most people are very casuals and like to take pics and explore only or just listen to quests. So yeah, i can argue about this topic without insulting or using deragatory terms with the people i disagree with.
@@cris9485 so actually let me tell you how this goes. I have a wife and daughter and a full time job. Time is pretty limited. There’s well over 1k comments on this video. I don’t really have time to respond to every single one. So naturally I’m going to choose to prioritize responding to the positive comments because that makes sense for me to do. At the beginning, I responded to almost every comment because I was trying to stay on top of it. Now for the negative comments I have only responded to ones that are particularly retarded, and at this point I’m basically just not going to respond to most comments at all and I’m going to go to work and then focus on my next video. In fact I have no idea why I’m wasting my time explaining this to you at all.
If I’m being honest, the truth is just that withering waves is overhyped and the only and I repeat only reason people play wuwa is because of burnout for genshin, genshin has been around for four years so….? Obviously people will be tired of it they want something new and also not to be bias but some ppl enjoy slow paced combat and elemental reactions the movement might be slow but by now I’m used to it and I’ve come to enjoy it the company is trash and greedy but the game is great no doubt wuthering waves is better than genshin impact only beach of it’s developers apart from thier feedback the game is very mid if not also trash The world feels so dead ( personal opinion btw ) but the gameplay is alive and vice versa for genshin
I wouldn't say the echo system is better considering you can't level them without spending Waveplates at all and there is no off piece so half of the echoes you get are useless and only usefull for a 5 for 1 merge. All those Eclipse sets with Glacio damage or Glacio set with Havoc damage is brutal.
Combat is better yeah but Exploration??? Exploring in WuWa is hella boring, just because exploring in that game is faster doesn’t mean it’s better, also let’s be real the artifacts system in WuWa is so fucking bad compared to genshin artifacts system
@@DarleenSchool-ns9ri i play ww cause it has significantly better combat and exploration not because of burnout from genshin. i also play ww cause its devs actually listen to its players and are open and transparent about it while genshin devs ignore its players. im also sick and tired of genshin adding exploration mechanics that are exclusive characters and on top of that exclusive to the region said character is from like what kind of retarded decision is that. the game is far from mid it may not be for you but your logic would be like saying i dont like elden ring so its mid. you see how illogical that is? just because you dont like something does not make that a mid game. also the world is SUPPOSE to feel dead thats literally what a post apocalyptic universe is........ as the entire game takes place after the lament which was a massive catastrophe that killed most of the people. also there is no such thing as overhyping as each person will hype a game the amount they think it deserves in their own mind as each person has a different level of enjoyment they get from it. also ww was inspired by nier and god eater both of which have very dead universes so obviously its gonna feel dead as thats by design.
I just wanted to share my opinion. I prefer Genshin Impact over Wuthering Waves. I reached level 45 in Wuthering Waves, but I didn't find it as enjoyable as others. Maybe I'm missing something, but I feel like if I wanted to play a game similar to Wuthering Waves, I would just play Elden Ring.
That’s a valid take. It’s not for everyone. I’m gonna say though, as someone who has the platinum trophy on Elden Ring, WuWa is not nearly as difficult as that imo.
One more thing, kuro gave us the shooting drone to help us who dont use gun character instead forcing us to switcth to gun character so it make us easier to explore the world, meanwhile genshin still forcing player to have claymore to gather mineral
This was an amazing video, I'm reasonably new to both games (I've played genshin for a month and I'm ar 50, and I've played Wuwa for about a week and I'm UL 38) The beginner experience for Wuwa had been SO much more fun and just an overall better experience.
i went into wuwa thinking that would be a copy and paste of genshin. i was so, so wrong. don’t get me wrong, i’m completely invested in genshin, four years in, but at the end of the day it has gotten stale, but i still love it. wuthering waves is like genshin impact’s big brother that went to war and came back swole as fuck. even tho it’s only been out for a few months, it has really grown on me. i stopped playing for like a month after the sentinel jue content (only because i dropped 80+wishes on changli and didn’t even get her) but i saw a trailer for the shorekeeper and the black shores and i was sucked back in. i found myself playing genshin and trying to dodge an attack or use the grapple but of course, even after four years they don’t have anything remotely similar, not unless you consider the skill that only kinichand yumkasaurs can use. been back on wuwa for two weeks and i’ve gotten over 120+wishes just by playing the in game events WITHOUT HAVING TO PAY ANYTHING, half of those were used on the shorekeeper who came home at 72 pity. genshin had my heart, always will. the lore is deep and gets depper wish each update, but wuthering waves is in their bumpers. let them keep up and genshin impact’s big brother is gana drown in the things that they won’t bring to the game that their competition gives us without being as old of a game.
I love that you were being respectful and criticizing genshin objectively yet still getting attacked and insulted by the genshin shills. Its really sad. It just goes to show the genshin fandom continues to be the most toxic negative clowns in the gacha space. No wonder everyone pokes fun of them. Overall i agree with ur insight. Wuwa >>>> Genshin.
Exactly. My intent is not to trash talk Genshin. I like Genshin. I want it to be better. And this is just me making a video about my thoughts. Of course, I figured I was going to get attacked. Not going to deter me from saying what I want to say though.
Objectively currently wuwa fandom is becoming incredibly pathetic and toxic. Like just check rnadom video with genshin and wuwa comparison and first comments will be a wuwa simps trashtalking about hoyo)) in 1 year wuwa community will be the most toxic among all gacha games
You know what? i come back to Genshin (after 1 year not playing the game) when Natlan release and have hope for better experience, but... QoL still suck and never change in term of slow exploration in all region (except new region, Natlan). Yesterday i want to change my life and uninstall Genshin because for an adult player who have limited time is not worth for me. Wuwa still playing until now since 1.0 because they're listening, QoL helps a lot, fun combat, and many reward because they respect all players
3:15 actually the best banners you’ll ever find for being f2p friendly are in punishing gray raven which has 60 max pity for characters & weapon 80/20 instead of 50/50 and on a character’s launch there’s 100% guaranteed for the pet (which is guaranteed 10 pity) & character 🤓 (they’re both games made by kuro so it makes sense)
Imma be honest I figured some people were gonna ding me for saying that. I haven’t played every gacha game ever so I couldn’t be sure they’re actually the best banner, but yeah
@@SolaceSaga lol yea i figured, obv no one has likely played all gachas (tho i have played a LOT….) but kuro def has the best banners across their games and that’s true still when considering how hard/easy it is to get currency , to sum it up: i’m a gacha game nerd and i love kuro games so i pointed that out bc barely anyone plays pgr 😚
im even running fine with a 4 year old phone so something's wrong right here, heck even i played it on a 750ti with low settings, and oh boi no fps drops
I will say that there is something wrong with your pc/phone. It's working completely fine for the majority of people and I am saying "majority" because there are still those out there, who thinks they can run this on a hot potato, because they are able to play other games on those hot potatoes. This is a game fit for this era, which means your pc/phone needs to be on par with that.
After reading a lot of comments (both on the comment section of this video and on other sites), I really don't understand why it has to be "This game or the other". Can't they play both? I mean, I guess what I'm trying to say is that people don't go shit all over Ocarina of Time just because Breath of the Wild came out, if that makes sense. At it's core, both Wuthering Waves and Genshin Impact are pretty much the same thing. I guess that the difference is that WuWa has a more caring developer and a more complex and dynamic combat system, while Genshin is more charismatic and more friendly to a wider range of players (you know, not everyone enjoys challenges and actual difficulty while playing a videogame). I think that we can enjoy both games without making these sort of gangs or that "Android vs Apple" or "Coca-Cola vs Pepsi" type of fights
Wuwa isn't that hard at all except Tower of adversity and like the last 2 levels of holograms And let's be real if all content was absolutely easy then there's no point in playing And even TOA isn't that hard except for the level 100 fights Even Genshin has it Not everything in Genshin is absolutely easy And dev listening is just one of the reasons Skip button is something many consider just as important Tell me why haven't they added a simple skip button in 4 years Wuwa also gives better f2p experience with guaranteed weapon and 10 less hard pity 10 less hard pity is actually very insane Plus Wuwa has a far refined combat system it's not hard just refined Genshin has lore but we are playing a game not reading a light lovel Combat takes priority and genshin hasn't done any significant changes nor has it bothered to refine it Wuwa has much more realistic and fluid character moments and designs A lot of genshin designs feel repeated Devlopers listening of course is a major W But it's not the only thing it's a stacked effect Plus if we gotta compare lore er gotta do it with first 3 updates of wuthering waves with first 3 updates of Genshin impact Of course wuwa isn't some absolutely godly game or a saint either But no matter how you look at it It's better than genshin It's almost as if it was it's purpose It took the core framework of Genshin and improved upon it by • making a more refined combat system • better f2p experience • developers support • skip button • better and more realistic graphics Etc It's more like Genshin is really bad rather than wuwa being very very good
3:15 I feel like the weapon banner is the single biggest difference between Genshin and Wuwa. It's so much easier to look at the weapon banner and know you're garunteed the weapon. Though I did hit hard pity on both Camellya and her weapon.
I agree to virtually all points bar one: WuWa’s combat swings for the fences and fouls out. It’s so depressingly flawed despite being a vision for something amazing. 1. Time slows down during intros and ultimates. This is a dire problem because bosses have moves that wind-up for 1-2 seconds before unleashing at lightning speed, thus you have to memorize how long they wind up for. These moves often one-shot you. However, if you switch characters or ult while they’re winding up the move, you have just obliterated your ability to determine when that one-shot will unleash, so you die. 2. character abilities put you up in the air where you are incredibly vulnerable, and there’s no immediate method to get back on the ground. while in the air, you have access to only a single dodge, while bosses like to unleash multi-hit combos in rapid succession all requiring dodges. Many characters give you no option to stay on the ground; if you want to deal damage with them, they will move to the air, and you’re gonna get drilled. These two things are unforgivably terrible gameplay experience that it disqualifies wuwa‘s combat from being compared to Genshin’s
What's crazy is despite Wuwa being a good game in most aspect, it's still overshadowed by Genshin's massive popularity, whether it being on China or in Global.
@@megnatannihs Yeah as gamers we just need to love the game that we really like to play instead of engaging with meaningless debates and comparisons on who is better. Sadly, games are now slowly adapting geopolitics which often leads to fights.
I'm Genshin Impact player who been play this game for 4 years and retired right after WuWa released, I agreed with you. WuWa is "Genshin" but more refined that player wanted. Like: - Map on GI is getting bigger but stamina still the same - Story that I'm not interested cannot be skip (even worse that story can unlocked weekly boss or areas) - Resin capacity increased is useless if recharge rate is still the same - Combat on Genshin is clunky and slow (I know some people don't like fast-paced gameplay but no sir I want to finish my daily task ASAP, sir)
One thing people need to know about echo is that you only need one set for each set type. If you're playing with two dps of the same attribute you can switch one of them to a support set with dps substats. You don't have to grind that hard. The main thing you might need to swap out is the 4 cost echo if they release a new variant with better effects. And everything would be so much better if they finally added the echo preset like they promised which would make transferring echo sets from one character to another much easier
Another thing I like about wuwa is that if you zoom in to any character, you will notice that their in-game models actually looks BETTER than their 2d official arts, which is insane because their 2d models already looks really nice. Genshin could never btw like have you seen Albedo? disgusting. Their in game models look like they shrank in size, age and quality as compared to their 2d official art. All these poeple saying they dont hate genshin, BUT I DO. I PLAYED THAT GAME FOR ALMOST 4 YEARS AND IT DIDNT GET BETTER. I will keep hating untill the devs pull their head out of their @ss and atleast learn from hsr if not from wuwa.
Its a double edge knife really. I must agree with you but that they look better than the splash art and thats because wuwa art style very generic. Imo its save by the technology. In 3-4 years youll understand what I mean.
Same, uninstallef after 1.0 after finishing all content then installed again in 1.2 for free 5 star and this thing still barely works. Cant get stable 24 FPS on lowest setting, constant crashes, lag and connection errors etc. Every crash makes me contemplate uninstalling again.
Genshin is just outdated, it a mainstream everyone jumps to because during the time of covid and people locked into their houses after completely finishing botw people shifted to Genshin. Genshin was named a botw clone for every right as it was. It endured the same amount of hate for being a copy until years later they've earn to be original in itself. WuWa isn't a exemption to this though. But comparing a 4 years game vs a game that is barely a year old has done more changes in a few weeks than to Genshin listening to playing for over 4 years doing the bare minimum.
All true... I'v recently discovered wuthering waves ( around 2 weeks ago ), been playing genshi for 2 years now... Wuthering waves it's amazing so far... they fixed and improved every little bad thing on genshin, combat it's way better, way more exciting, glad that o found it... For now the only "bad" side it's the amount of playable characters ( 17 on wuthering, around 70 on genshin ) and obvious less content, because it's a "new" game, but that will change with time, for sure.
After finally having an opportunity to play Wuwa properly (from mobile to PS5) i'm slowly getting hooked and now i can understand why ppl talking about Wuwa pros. I got Mavuika and Citlali (thankfully i didn't spent money) and i don't know what to do with them cuz i already did that same sht with other characters 100 times.. Right now ZZZ and Wuwa got my full attention and Genshin is slowly, but surely fading away... (btw ZZZ and Wuwa devs are top tier🥇).
i think i'd like genshin more for the storyline , tho wuthering wave really is at whole another level, both combat graphics are better but i think the storyline is less interesting to me

An extremely superficial video -"Wuthering Waves is generous" The thing you call "generosity" it's actually called "player retention": Genshin hasn't given much in four years because they know people will keep playing anyways. Meanwhile, WuWa's launch was a disaster, so they simply tried to limit damage. Also, yes, people may find enjoyment in playing who they like, but the problem is that usually, when they like someone, it's not a standard 5-stars, so WuWa still didn't much towards those people; -"Wuthering Waves has better banners". Only the weapons one is better, the characters one is Genshin's but requiring one less multi. Speaking of how Genshin improved theirs, that kind of change doesn't happen overnight, so trying to imply that they changed the banner because of WuWa is just plain wrong (especially because WuWa is simply not big enough to be a competitor); -"WuWa's combat is better". WuWa is a different kind of game when it comes to combat, so the gameplay might look better, but only when compared to Genshin. In fact, I only need to mention PGR to make WuWa's look bad. WuWa is also not hard: just because Genshin is easy doesn't mean WuWa is not. Compared to stuff like Devil May Cry WuWa looks like kindergarten in every possible way; -"WuWa exploration is better", yet you only mentioned parkour (that still uses stamina) and sprinting without using it and even braking ore, but not the maps you're actually exploring. Probably because you know WuWa would look bad in comparison; -"WuWa has a skip button, Genshin doesn't". That's because Genshin has to forcefully increase your playtime. The problem is that doesn't make WuWa look better, considering the skip button was only implemented because they know they did a mess with it (and since people are going to assume things: I don't like Genshin's story that much, but WuWa was on a whole another level of bad. Being edgy doesn't mean you're better); -"WuWa's endgame is better". No shit Sherlock, but maybe the endgame isn't Genshin's prority? You just need to look at their other games to understand that. And the income speaks for them. Also, again: you don't develop another mode overnight, so it was not because of WuWa; -"Echo system is better because you combine it with the overworld". In otherwords, it's still extremely grindy, but you tried to make it sound better, when it's really not; -"WuWa devs response to feedback is better". Have you ever considered that maybe Genshin's feedback might not be as negative as you people make it to be, especially considering that if the devs were actually that bad, the game wouldn't make as much as it makes? People are dumb, but not that dumb
WuWa devs feedback is better tho... They actually listen and seek to change their game for the better. Genshin doesn't. Genshin was revolutionary but to be truly great again they need to actually listen and want to make their game better. Like come on, the NPCs. Genshin would be better if its NPCs looked like actual characters.
People seem to think they are the majority everytime. The people crying for more endgame and dificulty are less than 1% of the Genshin playerbase. Yet they always act as if everyone agrees and wants what they do despite the factual hard numbers proving them wrong.
I don't think it's fair comparing both in such direct way. Genshin is now a 4 year old game while Wuwa is bearly half a year. There has been competition in the past for Genshin, like Tower of Fantasy which failed to compete with Genshin. What i mean is that other games such as Wuwa and Tower of Fantasy had the time to study and improve Genshin's Features as a Game and as a fresh releasing game they can quickly adapt and change Genshin's Features. Ofcourse that if you want to compete with an already established game like Genshin, you have to be more generous, not to mention that currently, Genshin has around 600 hours of content in Main Quests alone, so not many people will want to start it now from the begining. If Genshin was to change it's mechanics now, how would other polayers that spent Hundreds if not thousands of dollars on it? They would feel cheated or scamed. So yeah, any game that is similar to Genshin that is releasing now will inevitably be better than Genshin. But nonetheless, it was Genshin that open those possibilities for those Games, it showed that having a massive Open World with tons of exploration and diverse cast of characters to play with and captivating lore is possible on the Phone, for this reason, Genshin is one of the best Open World Free Mobile Game out there and will be marked in Gaming History.
i see a lot of people hate echoes compared to artifacts/relics. 90+% of the artifacts/relics you get, will be fodder. so you can spend days to months just trying to get a artifact/relic with the right main stat you want. then when you do get that piece, the stats are hp, hp%, def, def% most of the time. then if you get hp, attk%, cr, cd, it all rolls into hp. meanwhile in wuwa all echoes you get have the potential to be good, as long as you get the right set and main stat you are looking for. you can also farm for specific pieces. say you need a electro 3 cost on electro set. you can just farm the 3 costs echoes of that set(typically one 3 cost has 2 possible sets to drop, some exceptions ofc), instead of farming a domain where you get Flower, Plume, Sands of Eon, Goblet, and Circlet from a possible 2 sets in that domain. thats 10 possible pieces you can get from one domain, not mentioning all the possible main stats and sub stats there are from both. also, people have said the amount of echo lvl resources were bad. they didnt take into consideration how much and how often they were rolling echoes(they even decided to keep giving more too, through events. which is great). compared to genshin where the reason people have so much artifact exp is because they dont have many good pieces to spend them on, and all that fodder builds up then gets turned to exp. though, if i could change 1 thing about echoes it would be to get rid of tuners. needing 2 items(exp and tuners) to lvl and see the possible sub stat can be a bit annoying. i would prefer just needing exp imo
people will easily burn out their heads just to level up echoes then. there's a reason why they add tuners, its because players need to keep their pace slow. the devs intended to make their game fair and square towards people who have all the time to grind vs people that can play a little. in other words, devs adds tuners to limit grinding fanatics and keep their game health and fair
not watch the full video yet but i have something to say about this From an objective standpoint Wuthering waves is better then genshin impact in many different ways Like here's the list i can think of --better combat --better exploration and not having exploration mechanics locked behind a character --better quality of life feature --better gacha rate --better weapon banner From all the points i just said from an objective standpoint Wuthering waves is a better game then genshin impact Of course this is an objective standpoint People have subjective reason why they play one game over the other
I dont even know anymore Solace. Ever since i played WuWa, it just meaningless for me to return to Genshin. Ive been logging in here and there to go try pull for Xilonen but it just doesnt appeal to me anymore. Ever since i got Zhezhi, my gameplay in WuWa is waaay more fun now. I tried going back to Genshin and finished archon quest and thats probably it. after natlan war shinannigans, i returned to WuWa immediately just to build my Sanhua, Zhezhi and Bhaizhi. 😭🤣 I know my fellow GI stans will always defend GI even tho GI devs are fooling us for giving us QoL BS that we don't need.
Same experience. I only really log-in to Genshin for the Archon Quests. And the bi-monthly end-game content. I'm not that excited with new areas and characters anymore except for the Archons.
Why is the concept of playing any game you like so hard to grasp? Nobody is forcing you to play any game you can drop it anytime. Mfs want to turn everything into a competition.
ZZZ>HSR>Genshin=WuWa I really like the character designs in WuWa, and the game itself is beautiful. I definitely think if it were early Genshin vs WuWa it would be no contest, but current Genshin has so much to do, especially since I got a bit behind while going to college.
A good business model and putting out content that makes us want to support developers with monetary value is in part what gaming is all about for me. (*giving a wink and a nod to WARFRAME and DEATH STRANDING*). I appreciate it when passion and generosity are worth my cash. It's what the gamer and artist in me lives for.
@@SolaceSaga are you going to make a part two? this is the first video i've watched from you, so i don't know whether you're more into meta than narrative, but what i find utterly beautiful about Wuthering Waves is that all the characters' trailer and animation are so much more diligently made. we can see various and visible emotions in their facial expressions, beside their body movement, too.
love both, play both, still prefer genshin overall. not quitting either any time soon, though. but the music, the whimsical world, the voices, stories and game performance are all leagues ahead in genshin's favor. Wuwas got the combat, more free stuff and qol. Be interesting to see if it ever takes the top spot for me, but it has a ways to go. If ps5 release kills it that'd be a big deal to me.
Music, character writing, story, open world design, lore in genshin all mog wuthering waves. Depending on what kind of player you are one game will be better than the other. If the only reason you are playing a live service gacha is combat gameplay and how much handouts you get then wuthering waves is a winner. If these things are secondary for you then you will likely think genshin is better.
You can't be serious. Character writing? Story? Yae Miko introduced as this mysterious Foxgirl diety with spies all over the country and possibly the world. What do they do with those endless possibilities? "She likes light novels". THREE TIMES. With zero other character development or progression aside from a single dialogue after the archon quest that was literally just exposition. Genshin's character writing is pathetic. The companion quests have been so good in Wuwa compared to Genshin it's actually absurd. The characters actually learn, and grow, and do things. Then the next time you see them in an event or another story beat, they're doing something new, or talking about something else. Not just rehashing the same gimmick because they're scared of giving real depth to the characters. Character writing, give me a break.
realy? genshin writing is better? when all plot is the same? not even a single idea on that plot where or what the sibling doing? you know what game has a better writing? FGO!
i disagree imo ww world design and writing is far superior to genshin again imo but i also prefer dark and dreary stories i also prefer as little bloat as possible which is why i just skip all genshins story every time paimon is on the screen as thats literally all she does as well as i hate her voice

I’m just still playing Genshin because I’m still interested in its story.
it's so sad genshin had a lot of potential but the devs being lazy kinda ruined it ...
And some people still think genshin artifacts system is better that wuwas echo system 💀
@@viole_deviant it is those even if you can farm echoes at anytime
honeslty the only good thing about Genshin are reactions and building characters, story is good but the animations and in game "cinematics" sucks, even NPCs walk like robots and all repetitive sh1t.

If wuwa pity is easier then everyone has that character u are pulling for so there wont be much excitement about it. i think u just want free things thats all.
if you think wuwa story is better then genshin there’s something wrong with your brain.

Highly agree with the environment aesthetic part I've yet to find a place in wuwa that was breathtaking black shores was just ok in that department
The first moment of that breathtaking experience in genshin for me was when we encounter that blue floating spear in the chasm that moment changed my views on environmental aesthetics there are also many places in genshin where you just put the controller aside and just enjoy the view

Bro it's not even funny anymore. These people have played like 3 games in their life. And they think that all games should be made in the same way.
There is always a better one. Feel doesn’t change fact. And it is natural to fight for thing you like.
I mean just the title itself is a provocation even if that's not the CC's intention.
wuwa fans: wuwa is so much better than genshin

Did you play the game tho? Seems like hoyo think you didn't play genshin enough since they bothered to add some limited time event just to reward the one that actually play the game by exploring stuff 😂
"The story is really good" they said
"You play the game not for the reward" they said
Well, hoyo basically said "Here some reward for player that have been gone for a while now, please play our game again 😢"
Re running characters this early isn’t bad at all imo, allows players to save for who they want
Actually most of wuwa players already play genshin like me and I must say Wuwa is more enjoyable for me overral
@@alvinnugraha5264 same here. I played Genshin for 3 years and even spent money here. And now playing WuWa I can confirm Kuro's game is way better. It basically gave me everything from the start that I wanted to see in Genshin for years.
Eh not really, I'll be honest the only things the games have in common is open world and being gachas.
to be frank. i didn't think i nid the summary and archive of the story until they add it into the game. now i spend time reading it ingame
and the map list skipping, and the flower auto marking. man that's just overall nice.
@@komikath DUDEEEEE!! The flower auto marking thing is so peak. Lowkey one of my favorite additions to 1.3 haha
Combat,exploration,artifact system.
If I’m being honest, the truth is just that withering waves is overhyped and the only and I repeat only reason people play wuwa is because of burnout for genshin, genshin has been around for four years so….? Obviously people will be tired of it they want something new and also not to be bias but some ppl enjoy slow paced combat and elemental reactions the movement might be slow but by now I’m used to it and I’ve come to enjoy it
the company is trash and greedy but the game is great no doubt wuthering waves is better than genshin impact only beach of it’s developers apart from thier feedback the game is very mid if not also trash
The world feels so dead ( personal opinion btw ) but the gameplay is alive and vice versa for genshin
I’m gonna say though, as someone who has the platinum trophy on Elden Ring, WuWa is not nearly as difficult as that imo.

wuthering waves is like genshin impact’s big brother that went to war and came back swole as fuck. even tho it’s only been out for a few months, it has really grown on me. i stopped playing for like a month after the sentinel jue content (only because i dropped 80+wishes on changli and didn’t even get her) but i saw a trailer for the shorekeeper and the black shores and i was sucked back in.
i found myself playing genshin and trying to dodge an attack or use the grapple but of course, even after four years they don’t have anything remotely similar, not unless you consider the skill that only kinichand yumkasaurs can use.
been back on wuwa for two weeks and i’ve gotten over 120+wishes just by playing the in game events WITHOUT HAVING TO PAY ANYTHING, half of those were used on the shorekeeper who came home at 72 pity.
genshin had my heart, always will. the lore is deep and gets depper wish each update, but wuthering waves is in their bumpers. let them keep up and genshin impact’s big brother is gana drown in the things that they won’t bring to the game that their competition gives us without being as old of a game.

Wuwa isn't that hard at all except Tower of adversity and like the last 2 levels of holograms
And let's be real if all content was absolutely easy then there's no point in playing
And even TOA isn't that hard except for the level 100 fights
Even Genshin has it
Not everything in Genshin is absolutely easy
And dev listening is just one of the reasons
Skip button is something many consider just as important
Tell me why haven't they added a simple skip button in 4 years
Wuwa also gives better f2p experience with guaranteed weapon and 10 less hard pity
10 less hard pity is actually very insane
Plus Wuwa has a far refined combat system it's not hard just refined
Genshin has lore but we are playing a game not reading a light lovel
Combat takes priority and genshin hasn't done any significant changes nor has it bothered to refine it
Wuwa has much more realistic and fluid character moments and designs
A lot of genshin designs feel repeated
Devlopers listening of course is a major W
But it's not the only thing it's a stacked effect
Plus if we gotta compare lore er gotta do it with first 3 updates of wuthering waves with first 3 updates of Genshin impact
Of course wuwa isn't some absolutely godly game or a saint either
But no matter how you look at it
It's better than genshin
It's almost as if it was it's purpose
It took the core framework of Genshin and improved upon it by
• making a more refined combat system
• better f2p experience
• developers support
• skip button
• better and more realistic graphics
Etc
It's more like Genshin is really bad rather than wuwa being very very good
3:15 I feel like the weapon banner is the single biggest difference between Genshin and Wuwa.
@@idontspeakjapanese6289 yeah there’s a lot of reasons for that and it is what it is. But hey I’m happy with WuWa and I’m gonna keep playing it

I'm Genshin Impact player who been play this game for 4 years and retired right after WuWa released, I agreed with you.
WuWa is "Genshin" but more refined that player wanted. Like:
- Map on GI is getting bigger but stamina still the same
- Story that I'm not interested cannot be skip (even worse that story can unlocked weekly boss or areas)
- Resin capacity increased is useless if recharge rate is still the same
- Combat on Genshin is clunky and slow (I know some people don't like fast-paced gameplay but no sir I want to finish my daily task ASAP, sir)

I decided to try again Wuthering waves 1.3 after dropping it at start of 1.2. Guess what happened ? It crashed in first 5 minutes 😂
Damn foreal?? That sucks dude I’m sorry to hear that. I’ve been fortunate I guess it’s always ran fine for me.
The thing is wuwa is poorly optimized
It’s not for me so I can’t say I relate. Runs perfectly fine on my phone and PC
Yea its poorly optimized if you have potato phone and a pc
Same uninstalled in 1.0, came back im 1.2 and it still runs like ass on mobile.
"Wuthering Waves is a better game than PGR"

An extremely superficial video
-"Wuthering Waves is generous"
The thing you call "generosity" it's actually called "player retention": Genshin hasn't given much in four years because they know people will keep playing anyways. Meanwhile, WuWa's launch was a disaster, so they simply tried to limit damage. Also, yes, people may find enjoyment in playing who they like, but the problem is that usually, when they like someone, it's not a standard 5-stars, so WuWa still didn't much towards those people;
-"Wuthering Waves has better banners". Only the weapons one is better, the characters one is Genshin's but requiring one less multi. Speaking of how Genshin improved theirs, that kind of change doesn't happen overnight, so trying to imply that they changed the banner because of WuWa is just plain wrong (especially because WuWa is simply not big enough to be a competitor);
-"WuWa's combat is better". WuWa is a different kind of game when it comes to combat, so the gameplay might look better, but only when compared to Genshin. In fact, I only need to mention PGR to make WuWa's look bad. WuWa is also not hard: just because Genshin is easy doesn't mean WuWa is not. Compared to stuff like Devil May Cry WuWa looks like kindergarten in every possible way;
-"WuWa exploration is better", yet you only mentioned parkour (that still uses stamina) and sprinting without using it and even braking ore, but not the maps you're actually exploring. Probably because you know WuWa would look bad in comparison;
-"WuWa has a skip button, Genshin doesn't". That's because Genshin has to forcefully increase your playtime. The problem is that doesn't make WuWa look better, considering the skip button was only implemented because they know they did a mess with it (and since people are going to assume things: I don't like Genshin's story that much, but WuWa was on a whole another level of bad. Being edgy doesn't mean you're better);
-"WuWa's endgame is better". No shit Sherlock, but maybe the endgame isn't Genshin's prority? You just need to look at their other games to understand that. And the income speaks for them. Also, again: you don't develop another mode overnight, so it was not because of WuWa;
-"Echo system is better because you combine it with the overworld". In otherwords, it's still extremely grindy, but you tried to make it sound better, when it's really not;
-"WuWa devs response to feedback is better". Have you ever considered that maybe Genshin's feedback might not be as negative as you people make it to be, especially considering that if the devs were actually that bad, the game wouldn't make as much as it makes? People are dumb, but not that dumb
Your entire comment is superficial and I didn’t even read all of it but thanks for stopping by
WuWa devs feedback is better tho... They actually listen and seek to change their game for the better. Genshin doesn't. Genshin was revolutionary but to be truly great again they need to actually listen and want to make their game better. Like come on, the NPCs. Genshin would be better if its NPCs looked like actual characters.
So basically the TLDR is "i disagree with everything you say so here is a wall of text cuz i have that much free time"
People seem to think they are the majority everytime.
The people crying for more endgame and dificulty are less than 1% of the Genshin playerbase.
Yet they always act as if everyone agrees and wants what they do despite the factual hard numbers proving them wrong.
@@FallenPhoenix-ml5mn So you don't want better QOL updates? That's funny. Do you love having to hop up walls or something and to have ugly npcs?
I agree, Genshin was revolutionary and it will be marked in gaming history. WuWa is better to me though, it took what Genshin did and made it better.
i see a lot of people hate echoes compared to artifacts/relics. 90+% of the artifacts/relics you get, will be fodder. so you can spend days to months just trying to get a artifact/relic with the right main stat you want. then when you do get that piece, the stats are hp, hp%, def, def% most of the time. then if you get hp, attk%, cr, cd, it all rolls into hp. meanwhile in wuwa all echoes you get have the potential to be good, as long as you get the right set and main stat you are looking for. you can also farm for specific pieces. say you need a electro 3 cost on electro set. you can just farm the 3 costs echoes of that set(typically one 3 cost has 2 possible sets to drop, some exceptions ofc), instead of farming a domain where you get Flower, Plume, Sands of Eon, Goblet, and Circlet from a possible 2 sets in that domain. thats 10 possible pieces you can get from one domain, not mentioning all the possible main stats and sub stats there are from both.
also, people have said the amount of echo lvl resources were bad. they didnt take into consideration how much and how often they were rolling echoes(they even decided to keep giving more too, through events. which is great). compared to genshin where the reason people have so much artifact exp is because they dont have many good pieces to spend them on, and all that fodder builds up then gets turned to exp. though, if i could change 1 thing about echoes it would be to get rid of tuners. needing 2 items(exp and tuners) to lvl and see the possible sub stat can be a bit annoying. i would prefer just needing exp imo
people will easily burn out their heads just to level up echoes then. there's a reason why they add tuners, its because players need to keep their pace slow. the devs intended to make their game fair and square towards people who have all the time to grind vs people that can play a little. in other words, devs adds tuners to limit grinding fanatics and keep their game health and fair
not watch the full video yet but i have something to say about this
From an objective standpoint Wuthering waves is better then genshin impact in many different ways
Like here's the list i can think of
--better combat
--better exploration and not having exploration mechanics locked behind a character
--better quality of life feature
--better gacha rate
--better weapon banner
From all the points i just said from an objective standpoint Wuthering waves is a better game then genshin impact
Of course this is an objective standpoint
People have subjective reason why they play one game over the other
I dont even know anymore Solace.
ZZZ>HSR>Genshin=WuWa
I really like the character designs in WuWa, and the game itself is beautiful.
It's what the gamer and artist in me lives for.
i appreciate your calm yet funny delivery. man. keep it up.

Gameplay is king. Also, Wuthering Waves' characters just look cooler.
FGO!
