They're just following the standard rarity colors popularized by WoW:
White=Common
Green=Uncommon
Blue=Rare
Purple=Epic
Orange=Legendary
You'll find a lot of games using this rarity system trust me.

In my opinion HSR has a best atmosphere when you pulling and wait for something cool. Hearing soundwave when trail is come to you and analysing what you having seems real cool - feeling you determination and happiness. And that animation with Pom-Pom is huge cute with ending screen when you pull 10 - it's like you know cinematographic paper
It also fits the game itself
Nah man Wuthering Waves is better as for Honkai StarRail & Tower Of Fantasy it's too long the animation for the Summons 😅
I like HSR simply because there's a (subtle) cue before you see the colour. If you're listening for it, you can easily pick out if it's a 4 or 5 star within just a couple of seconds, allowing you to skip quickly.

Its not, just look if your card has a rainbow or not. Hsr has the most annoying one cuz you dont know its a 4 star until the door if you do single pulls.

Honkai Impact is nostalgic af , they still use it since the very beginning lunch 2016 even when most of the other UI feature been overhaul
Back then the S rank thing was yellow and the B rank was blue, now they're all purple, and lately they changed the animation a bit, (to worse) but i still like it personally

I guess thats wht HSR and ZZZ has their own unique way to tell when you pulled a 5 star. Star rail has the ticket turns into a rainbow colored with after images and in Zenless you can see an SS in one of the tv screens

HI3 use to be purple for S rank as well. So you have no idea you getting an S or A rank and you need full gear for some volks. But now you just need the volk and weapon the stigmata for new units is craftable instead of gacha.

I meant the whole pull. The animation for character entrances takes a long time to complete even if they’re cool. Both HSR and Genshin just have a splash art for the characters which makes it seem much faster though HSR has long train sequence in the beginning which is annoying too. I dont like things that are just done for pizzazz
Wuwa have an actual animate character intro is peak. The 2D images feel lazy and dont hype you up for the character. Everytime I get a new character in wuwa it's so exciting and makes me feel satisfied
ZZZ and WW are the only ones has moving animation as the character shows in the screen so the win goes to them

Still a big fan of the shooting star you get with genshin. On the flipside, I don't like how there's no tell for HI3, the gold glow always got my hopes up

Hi3 is an old game and the engine already changed, let the old players have smth they recognize. Imagine playing a game for years and one day you log in and everything's changed to accustom to new players. Not the biggest motivation to go on with it again imo, especially if you're smn who's not accustomed to change
The simple addition of a cool character animation in Wuthering Waves makes all the difference
My opinions on them:
Genshin - Most Iconic. Qiqi's silhouette haunting you has happened too many times. I also like the "ding-ding-ding" sound that plays according to how many stars is the character/weapon (like 4 dings for a 4-star, 5 dings for a 5-star) the addition of voicelines is also pretty cool.
Wuthering Waves - Also great. Though I find it funny since Genshin's wish is falling down while WuWa is travelling up. Also uses the blue - purple - yellow indicators. I like too because the tacit mark appearing before your 5 star shows is also very exciting. Bonus, all characters have their own respective animations. That's nice.
HSR - Goated. You'll find hints of the 5 star which really anticipates you through the BGM that's playing + the rainbow ticket. If that's not enough, yellow lights appear on the train and pom-pom gets blown away. Also, the path sign appearing before the 5 star gives you false hope sometimes or even absolutely destroys you. Like if you see that Hunt mark, you know that a certain short blonde kid surrounded by ice blades will appear. Worse is when you see the Nihility path sign expecting an Acheron and then an old hot man wearing glasses and holding a cane appears instead.
ZZZ - I've never played ZZZ before but I will play it for sure when it comes out, but I think this one is the most creative one out of all of them. Using TVs, that's pretty hilarious. The spinning animation is also nice, at least it doesn't just appear on your face. Really good one tbh
HI3 - I'll be honest, it feels somewhat anticlimactic. Like I don't feel special somehow or that excitement getting an S-Rank. No hate though. The usage of the crate is quite creative actually. Like a supply package from the air from a battle royale game or something.
ToF - It starts off great but then falls off short. Like the build-up doesn't work well, it's anticlimactic. I wish there was like some special animation before getting the SSR, but it just appears. Still, pretty decent tbh
genshin - simple and iconic
wuwa - i like the character animations and the lighting
hi3 - cool box
hsr - really cool without going overboard, pom pom is also adorable so extra points
zzz - idk about you but the music is FIRE i want a full version of that. the animation is also super creative
tof - its so anticlimatic 😭😭 it looks cool but then hits you with silence

2:33 WHAT. HOW. 4 4-Stars. I have been playing HI3 for years. This hasn't happened yet.
(PERSONAL OPINION) For me is just:
- Genshin Impact: Simple and neat, just go straight to the point but after all of them, is the most simple one.
- WuWa: 4K version of Genshin. The character presentation is cool. I think is _probably_ the best.
- HSR: Creative, Cute for PomPom ofc, but it feels a *little* more simple after you watch the others.
- HI3: Another creative one but pretty short as genshin.
- ZZZ: 2nd place for creativity and longest. The Character presentation is great, showing the details.
- ToF: Beats ZZZ for the long intro. The idea of that intro gives me the vibes of perfumes ads. Character presentation could have been the best if they gave the same importance as the intro.
Extra: As an HSR player, the suspense got ruined after I saw the trick of the ticket on the 5-star warp.
Tof has an advantage that isn't shown here that I really like.
It took me by surprise when I started playing.
Basically when you go to the page a short animation from the characters trailer plays when you first go onto their banner that gives you more of an idea of what your rolling for.
It's kinda like azur lanes UR clips but before you roll vs after getting them.

Honestly I think that Cookie run Kingdom has one of the best if not the best gacha pulling animation. It’s incredibly smooth, it fits the experience and setting so well, and it gives that excitement as you look for signs of a rarer character. Along with the animated splash art, I think it features on of the most artistically expressive and creative ones.
Not to be a mihoyo glzer or whatevers it’s called when you only like them, but I prefer the splash art to the animations, simply because the animations feel a bit lacking.

I feel like Genshin's is the best. Can't really describe it, it's not too much build up, not too little to give it away too quickly, and the bright yellow burst is very eye catching. Just overall the most iconic imo. Hsr's subtle glistening express pass at the start is nice too
Honestly - I like Genshins a lot. Its not too crazy but its pretty especially when you get a 5 star.

I lowkey love Honkai star rails the most- the ambience, the excitement of the moving train, pom pom and the door opening- its super fun. Also the path symbol showing up is super hype

As a bias hsr player (as u can see from my pfp) it's obviously gonna be the best for me, but zzz is a close second, that's just reallyyy creative and the rotating platform feels so vibe-y.

While in PGR, Golden: 5* character or purple rank character
Golden Brown/ Dark Golden: 6* character/ SSR character
I guess each one of them are unique on their own

I love the fact that gacha games like Hoyoverse, Wuthering Waves and Tower of Fantasy have the colors blue, purple and yellow.
Most unique is definitely Honk. It's interesting how flying tickets show you what you got. Also Pom-Pom my baby just showing while 3* and 4* and getting knocked back when it's a 5*.
I love hsr, the change is a bit subtle but you can feel it in the music (and the effects if you look closer)

@@98-carlmarkmarak22 idk if it's my ping but it sometimes actually delays and then I realize "oh my gosh I got a gold" never got tired of the 5 star animation somehow so it's like reliving getting my first 5 star again when I see gold which is a very achieving experience since you finally got a 5 star (then you realize you lose the 50/50, which isn't nice ;-;(
I love HSR and ZZZ gacha animations. HSR cause it's the only time pompom can come out from the train. Not to mention , multiples hint not just the color, and sfx . ZZZ is so creative , very original and modern, not typical similarity with other gacha game eventhough it's the slowest cause even bangboo get mini animation jump also the anticipation feeling from its sfx
I like Aether Gazer's summon animation. But these are cool too.. Wuthering Waves looked the best to me from this list since the summoned characters were not just 2D art.

Fave has to be HSR since it’s quick but also has cool design elements like the chrome affect indicating it be a 5 star, different Pom Pom animations, and the path symbol popping up to add on the climatic did I get them or not feeling (and that’s just a smooth animation). Plus train is epic than just a typical shooting star thing (though I get how the other animations have that because it’s thematically relevant). Simple design choices like this goes a long way!
Though I get the most hype from Genshin’s 5 star animation in like a Stockholm sense lmao.
ZZZ is by far the most creative and I have to applaud that. I love the stacked TVs workshop aesthetic, going through your pulls the stage thing spins around (very smoothly), and they have a cool zoom up montage of the characters like wow the effort! Though I feel like it does takes awhile to go through the whole animation which these gacha sessions ideally would be quick but maybe I’d change my mind once we get to actually play.

If you think about it, WuWa 's Gacha animation is related to its lore like the Retroactive Rain
ZZZ. Seem to have the most assets (3d items, fonts) moving during the animation. There's even physics bounce on the items when they spin in and out, and some good light interaction between the 3d assets in focus and the background. Cuts aren't weird too, like there's a video playing then showing separate assets. Almost just one smooth animation. Also what's up with the A rank items, they each have unique animation? Do they do that in game?
Weird thing about Wuwa, the loading of 3d seems jank right here: 0:55
#6 Tower of Fantasy has cool starting animation, but very mid pop-ups of characters
#5 Honkai Impact animation is not bad, but very outdated because of which it looks and sounds mid
#4 Zenless Zone Zero has nice animations but for some reason DON'T have cool pop-up for S-rank characters, they just normally appearing as all other items, because of what their appearance don't feel so special
#3 Genshin Impact has nice animations, but they are not powerful enough for 5-star characters
#2 Wuthering Waves has the advantage of animations with characters some of which even makes voicelines
#1 Honkai: Star Rail has very good animation with train and Pom-pom, with nice music which became very exciting when you are about to get 5-star, and there is a cool effect with cool sound for 5star pop-up

Honestly, Genshin and HSR feels more natural because the animation concept kinda connected to the story. Genshin give the feeling that you're wishing to the stars, and then the companion come as the falling stars, while HSR gave us the feeling as if we're inviting the companion and then eagerly wait for them to get down from the train, realistic.
HI3 is so nostalgic but idk, the characters are sent as a package? ZZZ, the character have the stage and spotlight, fresh to see them close up in different pov.... And I was speechless to se ToF's, the animation is great though, but the reveal feels empty.
I'm not playing Wuwa so idk about the story and how I can relate them with the wishing animation. But it's so cool to see the character itself animated and talk to us like, THE IMMERSION IS REAL
Nothing beats when you get a 5 star in genshin seeing it becomes yellow and with rainbows around it, the best feeling ever

Genshin's turning to gold is just straight dopamine rush to the brain. Makes you the most excited and nervous at the most same time. It makes it feels like you just did an big achievement or summoned a miracle.
ZZZ’s has developed a lot since the beta, there’s custom S rank music, a more detailed background, and an added effect on the third tape shown
Wuthering Waves is the best one imo. The skybox looks so majestic. And I like how all the characters have their own pull animations. 2nd place is ZZZ (even tho I won't be playing it).

Genshin player here 😁,...but,for me ZZZ is unique,.because rest of them have the same similarities,...shooting stars,showing high contrast light,sky ,galaxy.... but ZZZ animation looks different,...thats a great creativity right there.

Most are pretty cool to me but Genshins is just insane how nervous and anxious it can make you feel cause you are just like waiting to see if it becomes yellow and when it is yellow you are begging it's not a perm character. lmao. Wuwa is basically if you took bits and pieces of other gacha games, toned down the color, updated some parts and added a few different ideas
I don't really play any of these games apart from Wuwa, but I think I like Genshin's animation the most. Not the wishing screen necessarily, I just personally prefer having the png over the model :)
Personally i like FGO Gacha Animation specially when you get Gold (4*) and then turn Rainbow (5*) or when Silver (3*) turn into Gold (it can be 4/5*) and now there's special animation for Extra Class too

HSR is so fucking cool, the express descends from the heavens and the super hype music as the door opens is amazing
I personally like Wuwa’s pull style more, mainly because it has animations for the characters, and you can hear their voice before seeing them, which is a good buildup.

The "copy" he talks about is Wuthering Waves. A very cool game, and better than Genshin in many aspects. So I recommend Wuthering Waves much more than Genshin Impact.
