Just followed this video on my Pajero and it worked. Thank you. Massive THANK YOU for specifying the bolt/spanner dimensions, and how many bolts they are. That made the work very easy. This video is for a 3.2 diesel, but it worked on my 3.5 lire 6G74 petrol 2001 Gen 3 Pajero.
Excellent clip. I'm under my truck now and the main two nuts are so hard to remove. It's like they need CRC to loosen up. One of them is particularly hard to reach as well. But great clip. Excellent
Can you get to the starter motor by removing the passenger front wheel. Or do i need to remove the undertray aswell. I think it's the spade connector that's coursing me problems because if I move the wires it starts straight away
@outdooradventures92 taking the wheel off will not really help much as the body of the car is in the way of the starter if trying to go through the wheel arch. I did mine with the car on the ground and just went straight underneath it which is really easy to do, but you could jack it up to give yourself more room underneath but I had plenty of room.
Good video but if someone is trying to do this on a lhd vehicle get redy bcs the damn clutch master is on the way, im currently 4h into removing the starter and i have only undone 1 bolt
I found working underneath the car very easy, I don't see how working from above would be easier as there is the intake manifold and wiring harness that get in the way whereas from underneath there is nothing in the way
The king of vocal fray, the mitsubishi university,I'm now in my fourth year ans still learning.
Thanks for the video man. I think that’s the first time I’ve put a spanner to a car and not destroyed it😂

Thanks for the feedback mate, and that is good to know that it works for the petrol as well
No nonsense, easy to follow tutorial, Cheers mate
Thanks mate, I appreciate it

Thanks mate, I think my solenoid is gone. But this will help me get it out. Thanks so much🎉
Thanks. Easy to follow and helped me to change mine.

Hey man! Write for u from Kazakhstan! Thx for your video! I think it will be yeasy to take it from engine
Great clip, well done
Remove the battery, put it next to the wing and use it as a step, stand on it, then remove the battery tray and work from above. It's a lot easier.

thank you bro 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤
Mate how did you get to the upper bolt on the starter motor? I literally can’t find enough space to undo it.
Hey mate, I just used a 14mm spanner, it was tight but there was just enough room to do it
Did you not have to lower the gearbox to access the top 14mm bolt and to get it out ?
Hey mate, no you don’t have to lower the gearbox, everything I did is shown in video. I was able to get to both the bolts with a spanner
Just wish you'd shown me where to find it
Hey mate, it is on the passenger side of the engine and is easily accessed from underneath the car
How long did it take?
About an hour
that wasnt to bad if you can,t understand time for a mac
This video needs more dragons, otherwise very informative
what if it had more 4JJ1's in it?
