Discover Outback Queensland's Hidden Oasis | COBBOLD GORGE
Join us as we explore North Queensland's breathtaking natural wonder! This hidden oasis tucked away is a MUST see spot for your Outback QLD road trip itinerary.
Welcome to Cobbold Gorge!
Cobbold Village has everything a camper needs with toilets, showers, laundry facilities, licensed bistro & bar, a pool and powered sites. However, it's not exactly the camping that brings in the tourism - here you are able to explore the beautiful Cobbold Gorge.
The Village runs a three-hour tour that takes you around the Gorge (2km walk), across a glass bridge spanning a 13m gap over the Gorge and a boat ride through the rugged sandstone formations. Hopefully you can say hello to a few friendly fresh water crocodiles along the way!
Riley and I cannot recommend this place enough if you are heading central and/or northern QLD - see the link below to the offical Cobbold Gorge Website.

Bogged With NO Recovery Gear! Testing Crawl Control Technique WITHOUT Crawl Control
Переглядів 1,7 тис.Рік тому
In this video we intentionally get the Pajero bogged for a bit of fun to test the crawl control theory. Many new cars have a crawl control setting where it rotates the wheels very slowly and will get the car unstuck. The Pajero does not have this setting so I tried my best to simulate it using the traction control and some braking. This is a handy technique to know as it merely requires some pa...

How to Replace the Starter Motor on a 3.2 Mitsubishi Pajero/Montero/Shogun
Переглядів 28 тис.2 роки тому
In this video I show how I replaced my starter motor on my 3.2 4M41 diesel 2009 NT Pajero and what symptoms to look for in your vehicle. This process would be the same for any Diesel Pajero from Gen 2/3/4 (1995 to 2022) with either the 4M40 or the 4M41. This repair is able to be done by anyone who is relatively competent on the tools so don't be scared to give it a go! Tools Required: - 10, 12,...
How to Replace Engine Mounts on a 3.2 Mitsubishi Pajero/Montero/Shogun
Переглядів 9 тис.2 роки тому
This video shows how I replaced my engine mounts on my 3.2 4M41 diesel 2009 NT Pajero and what symptoms to look for in your vehicle. This process would be the same for any Pajero with the 3.2 Diesel from NS to NW and most likely the same for the GEN 3 models with the 3.2. The engine mounts were causing a large amount of vibrations especially at idle which were being transmitted through to the c...

The Pajero, Dmax and Triton took on The Old Telegraph Track! Part 2 of our Cape York series showcases each of the 16 creek crossings through the OTT (from Palm Creek, down Gunshot and across the infamous Nolans Brook). The creeks won't be your only water concerns along the way, be careful when crossing Logans Ford, she's a deep one... We decided to take 3 days (2 nights) to complete the Old Tel...

Yep. I got small balls
Did mine today mate. Only one was snapped in half which was drivers side. Passenger side was replaced too. This was still in tact but showing signs of not lasting much longer. So much smoother now. Drivers side was a nightmare! 4 hours all up. Cheers.
Yeah if they aren't torn in half they can be a real pain to change
I just did mine yesterday. 3.2 td. I managed to get the mount out without having to remove the bracket mounted to the block, just the 2 bolts from the chassis and the centre nut on the mount. Just had to jack it right up. Mount wasnt split at all either.
thank you bro 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤
Good video but if someone is trying to do this on a lhd vehicle get redy bcs the damn clutch master is on the way, im currently 4h into removing the starter and i have only undone 1 bolt
Thanks for the video man. I think that’s the first time I’ve put a spanner to a car and not destroyed it😂
Great clip, well done
Bastard of a job
what bull bar are you running?
@SubSonicsPixelators its a PS4x4 bar but I would really not recommend them as the quality is garbage and they are not ADR approved. There is a company that sells a very similar bar that is apparently ADR approved but not sure what they are called
I thought it might be and I’ve heard nothing but bad about them, it’s a shame there’s no good loop free bars with a low profile. I mean you can get mcc or arb/iron man no loop but they just don’t look as good. When’s your rig tour video going to come out? Just found you last night and instantly subscribed
@@SubSonicsPixelators yeah it is a shame. And yeah I have been meaning to make more videos and a tour is on the list just haven't gotten around to it yet
@@desktodirt if you remember the company that the other bar is from let me know
@@SubSonicsPixelators I have found the bar see below alpha4wd.com.au/products/alpha-predator-steel-bull-bar-for-mitsubishi-pajero-ns-nt-nx-2007
Hey man! Write for u from Kazakhstan! Thx for your video! I think it will be yeasy to take it from engine
The king of vocal fray, the mitsubishi university,I'm now in my fourth year ans still learning.
Can you get to the starter motor by removing the passenger front wheel. Or do i need to remove the undertray aswell. I think it's the spade connector that's coursing me problems because if I move the wires it starts straight away
@outdooradventures92 taking the wheel off will not really help much as the body of the car is in the way of the starter if trying to go through the wheel arch. I did mine with the car on the ground and just went straight underneath it which is really easy to do, but you could jack it up to give yourself more room underneath but I had plenty of room.
Thanks mate, I think my solenoid is gone. But this will help me get it out. Thanks so much🎉
Jacinda? Is that you Jacinda?😂
You people must be kidding, MVO road really Management Vehicles Only you Qld red necks
Excellent clip. I'm under my truck now and the main two nuts are so hard to remove. It's like they need CRC to loosen up. One of them is particularly hard to reach as well. But great clip. Excellent
Yours have to be some of the best videos I've seen in years. So refreshing to see a bunch of nice, respectful young people having fun without all the bogan, tough guy antics and ripping the joint up. Stay safe and have fun. Thankyou.
Thank you so much - this means a lot to us ☺
Where you just using traction control or did you have rear and front difflock. And what size tyres and lift are you running on the paj.
I put a factory rear diff lock in the car but never actually used it on the Tele track as the traction control was all I needed and was trying to show off to my mates by not using the diff lock. Tyres are 285/70r17 on a zero offset GU patrol wheel with a 2 inch lift
How did the Kelpro engine mounts go so far mate? Any issues with it? I have the exact same problem. Cheers!
Yeah so far they are good mate, I’ve probably done about 10k kms on them and no issues so far. I’ll update this post if I get any issues with them though
@@desktodirt Cheers mate!
Thanks. Easy to follow and helped me to change mine.
that wasnt to bad if you can,t understand time for a mac
Mate how did you get to the upper bolt on the starter motor? I literally can’t find enough space to undo it.
Hey mate, I just used a 14mm spanner, it was tight but there was just enough room to do it
Did you not have to lower the gearbox to access the top 14mm bolt and to get it out ?
Hey mate, no you don’t have to lower the gearbox, everything I did is shown in video. I was able to get to both the bolts with a spanner
I think vehicles with standard diffs at the rear wouldn't be able to do that, because the diff protrudes too low and therefore scrapes along the sand. Where as the Pajero doesn't have a diff scraping which is a massive advantage for the Pajero when traversing sand, snow and mud. Even on rocky terrain.
@klaus kainzinger I agree that the pajero being independent suspension definitely has an advantage in this situation due to its higher diffs however I have seen this technique used on cars with solid axles and it did work. To be honest I think the largest factor was having traction control and a diff lock so that I had more wheels turning than an open diff vehicle would
Need to drop the subframe without taking the nuts all the way off in order to get more clearance. Obviously the engine must be supported when you do this and body of the car must be on jack stands and have front wheels off car.
Yeah to get the engine mounts back in without cutting the studs you would need to do that but I found it easier to just trim the new studs so that I could re install the mounts
@@desktodirt Its all good I thought I mention it so your viewers would have an option. Been watching your videos. The Pajero is a great overland vehicle and I have been using them for years. Do you have two inch lift and what was the tyre size you had at the time.
@@olamabambi4193 Thanks mate, appreciate it. The Paj is a great offroad vehicle and is quite underrated in my opinion. I run a 2 inch lift with 285/70r17 tyres on a series 4 GU patrol rim which has a 0 offset and have no issues with scrubbing
Awesome stuff crew. What time of the year was this?
Cheers, this was mid July last year
Just wish you'd shown me where to find it
Hey mate, it is on the passenger side of the engine and is easily accessed from underneath the car
MVO = Maintenance Vehicles Only 😜
Ah, that does make a lot of sense, it was probably the nicest dirt road up there haha
Just followed this video on my Pajero and it worked. Thank you. Massive THANK YOU for specifying the bolt/spanner dimensions, and how many bolts they are. That made the work very easy. This video is for a 3.2 diesel, but it worked on my 3.5 lire 6G74 petrol 2001 Gen 3 Pajero.
Thanks for the feedback mate, and that is good to know that it works for the petrol as well
Do you have the traction control mod to enable TC when rear diff lock is on?
@DC you do need the traction control mod to enable TC with the factory rear diff lock however mine is different as I fitted a factory diff lock and wired it just to a switch so I can have it on whenever I want
@@desktodirt good idea mate!
Remove the battery, put it next to the wing and use it as a step, stand on it, then remove the battery tray and work from above. It's a lot easier.
I found working underneath the car very easy, I don't see how working from above would be easier as there is the intake manifold and wiring harness that get in the way whereas from underneath there is nothing in the way
Like better
i reckong this would only work well in pretty hard wet sand. soft sand i just end up bellied out.
This was filmed on the West side of Fraser which is pretty soft but I would like to try this technique on some softer sand. I have seen videos of this technique being used by people in deserts which I would assume to be very soft I think it would just take longer but you would probably get out if you have the patience.
Lmfao he is only trying his best to make the recovery more difficult
Surprisingly there was no recovery needed, we made it out with some patience and no recovery gear or digging required
Lil tractor
Yeah the Paj gets the job done
Hey mate, what lift, and Tyre combo are you running? Also did you get much water into the gen 4? I've seen a few where they aren't in the water for long and have got water on the floor. Looking at doing the cape trip in September in my gen 4.
@Deezy_Adventures Hey mate for the Cape I was running a 2 inch Formula lift with 285/75r17 Kenda RT’s which took me through basically everything including most bonus lines. As for water check out Part 2 of this series and it shows what got wet, I only got a little in the airbox when doing Logan’s Fjord and a little bit of wet carpets as it was actually the deepest and longest of the crossings. Pajeros have a tendency to leak at the airbox so even though I had a snorkel I still got a little bit in the airbox when the water was deep
@@desktodirt Thanks mate, I'll check it out for sure. Thanks for the information, appreciate it.
