Thank you for doing this. Im working on a husquvarna 150BT basically same build had to replace piston and rings messed first set of rings up trying to fit cylinder back on with blower attached. I will take the motor off the blower and do what you did to compress the rings down to get the cylinder back on. Thanks
Nice save! I have a Redmax EB6200 that was working great, until the end of last year... It's 25 years old, but still in good shape... I've tried everything so far to get it going again, and decided it seems like the crank seals may have worn out and started letting air in through the bottom end... It will fire off starting fluid if sprayed right into the spark plug hole, but not anywhere else(like the carb or intake), and it doesn't seem to be sucking gas out of the carb, through the intake, because of that... Is there a good place to find the correct parts? I'd really like to get it working again!!! Thanks in advance!
That’s an old unit for sure. Did you do a compression test? The “chrome” in the cylinder could be very worn as well. I’ll look that blower up on Monday and see what if anything is still available.
@@wallysworkin823 Hi Wally, thanks for the reply... yeah, she's an old girl for sure, but was working great...Started loosing power, and then wouldn't run anymore... I have some experience with 2 strokes, so I did test the compression, and it seemed good(I think it was over 120psi), but that will only indicate the cylinder being good, as far as I know... Won't tell you if the bottom end is air tight, which based on the mopeds I fix, means you can't get good suction off the carb, and also the air leaking in through the seals throws off the mix, if you can even suck in some gas at all... Also looked good inside, from what I could see through the ports...
Where might a guy get the 3 prong driver to adjust factory walbro carbs. I've been looking for one for a while now an have yet to find one. Hopefully someone might have a little bit of info on that would be greatly appreciated!
@@rncboy2I just realized you commented on the Redmax video. I’m assuming you are working on a Redmax, in that case it is a tiny flathead screwdriver. Sorry
What did you use to remove the crank bearings and install them? I’m working on a echo Srm - 280t that needs new crank bearings and seals it had no compression when I got it. I already have new piston and cylinder for it
I use a press to remove and install. You can use a vice and some sockets as well. There are a few videos on UA-cam that show you how. Guess I should make a video on how to replace bearings.
I am really enjoying this channel since coming across it a few weeks ago. You do a great job at the visual and verbal explanations.👍👍
Thanks, I do my best.
Fabulous video, I use a thread locker when tightening cylinder bolts. Engine mount etc
Mix of acetone and automatic transmission fluid makes a good penetrating fluid too.
Nice work, sir. Thanks

Quick question i cant break the fan bolts it keeps spinning how can i do it please help
You should be able to hold the fan by hand and loosen the bolts.

You need a “micro D” adjustment tool. Just google it. I like the Proline Micro D adjustment tool.
Ahh gotcha. Thank you. Might make it easier then trying to use a small flathead.

Yes please do
I keep my blower in the rain.
Better than the pool!
