    Been landscaping for 40 years and i have never seen a blower in that condition. Ever. The entire area around the carbeurator completly covered in dirt. We use our 8650's all day 6 days a week and never have issues. We clean them, keep air and fuel filters clean, replace spark plugs. That blower is simply abused neglected and not taken care of

    My EBZ7100 is 17 years old. I ALWAYS used ethanol free 89 octane fuel with Mobil 1 2T synthetic 50/1 oil mixture. (I stocked up on this oil when it was discontinued in 2010.) Used approximately 20 hours a year (340 total hours). Replaced air, fuel filter and fuel lines once. Replaced spark plug every four years (80 hours). I run dry and fog the cylinder each winter when stored for 3-4 months. No carb work ever. GREAT machine!

    My dad bought a red max EBZ8001 on 2008. He used it for tree lawn care business until he stopped using on 2013 and he puts around 4 hours a day on it. Yes he does put it in full throttle all the time when he’s using it. He put approximately 980 to 990 hours per year and times that by five that’s around 5000 hours. Since he stopped using it. On 2013 which was 11 years ago, I’ve been using it every fall to clean up the yard. I put about 1 to 2 hours per year. I have additionally put on 22 hours per year and it’s still running to this day. I’ve ran a 45:1 to 50:1 oil gas mix. I Just have a question I have been wondering if they discontinued the EBZ8001 model? I haven’t seen Those red max models anywhere.

    I agree Amsoil sabor is the best.! Been using it for 3 years now. I mix it at 90 to 100 ratio like they recommended. I run all Amsoil oils in all my equipment and personal vehicles and love it.!

    i have my original blower from 2013 many hours on it, did a top end two seasons ago and it runs great but sounds like its going to blow up lol. found out the fan spacers were all worn to hell. easy cheap fix and she will still be able to work as our back up blower

      Glad to hear. They had a problem with fans a few years ago where the metal inserts came loose. We replaced a lot of fans under warranty.

    The ebz8500 unit I have here won't start . It has zero spark , also has 75psi ( dry) & 110 psi (wet) . Based on the compression , is it worth trying to save it? The coil has both wires ( for kill switch) & still has zero spark.

    The exhaust port on the cylinder has a problem with clogging up on the 8500 which I assume it has to do with the intake manifold and the cylinder head leaking

    • @wallysworkin823
      @wallysworkin823  Рік тому +1

      That’s usually related to what kind of oil and gas mix someone is using. Cheap oil or a heavy mix ratio will cause carbon buildup.

    Have a EB7000 that i bought brand new in 2000, run it everyday, changed carbs few times, starters, normal maintenance. Im starting to hear a crank noise or rattling sound on start up, not sure what it is but it runs good just want to see if anyone has encountered this? Wanna wait and see before i take to my mechanic since i can do minor repairs before i decide to go with him for major stuff...any OG's here?

    My dad has a 7500 that worked like a charm for about two years, he's good at maintaining it as well he's not harsh with his equipment. All of a sudden it stopped turning on and about 10 pulls in it turned on accelerated completely for a bit then turned off almosr instantly, was wondering if that's a common issue and what the fix would be.

    I rebuild these all the time locktite all your engine screws and fan screws, put a tiny dab of silicone sealant at the end of the crank split case gasket where the cylinder gasket meets to be sure not leakage 👍

    I want to buy a new Redmax Ebz8560 just for my
    House. Not commercial use. Any reason I should consider the Stihl BR800 or the Echo 9010 over the Redmax?
    Also I have non ethanol 87 easily available. Should I run octane booster or would I be better off running 93 with ethanol? It won’t be for commercial use but it will get used often as I use a blower to dry my cars after a wash so the fuel won’t sit in it for very long periods.

    • @wallysworkin823
      @wallysworkin823  8 місяців тому +1

      Lately I am a fan of the 9010 but the Redmax is good also. You want to make sure and run 91-93 in either, both are prone to detonation. I prefer non ethanol but if you plan on using it frequently ethanol fuel will be fine.

    I've had an issue with the engine flooding since I purchased it brand new. Fuel mix may spit out the exhaust when pulling the string. When mine actually starts and runs, it's is powerful... but I feel like I have a lemon.

      That is unusual for those units, the carburetors are very reliable. Sound like it could be warranty if you purchased from a Redmax dealer.
