I love how Zangetsu immediately threatens to kill each of his allies when he meets them, and they each go "Nah, I'm on your side, I need to use the demons' power for good," and he's like "UGH, FINE, I'LL KILL YOU LATER." You'd think he wouldn't be so quick to jump the gun after the first time. Boy's bloodthirsty.

It's interesting that all 4 playable characters play like Castlevania 3 characters (and in Zangetsu's case, like Alucard from Symphony of the Night). BUT, Grant is ignored, and doesn't have a Bloodstained counterpart, while Alucard has two different representations. I.e., no one likes Grant.
I was impressed that even after you saw that you could destroy the coins, you didnt think of attacking only once to make the height smaller and climb up O.O
This game looks dope, I just wish it wasn't that retro. I would've loved this game even more if it looked like Dawn of Sorrow era Castlevania games minus the anime look. Although, even if it had that, as long as it had the look I'm talking about I would've liked it even more
it's disappointing that the final boss can not be hit by the main character it is also bizarre that an enemy like the archer of infinite arrows can untie the butt of the final boss

Most of the Nes games used to be long like this. but at the same time used to be hard, so normally an average player cannot end this on a single day. and yeah, dont have save point, so you have to start always from the beginning, well some games use a password mode, is not the same as a save point, because a savepoint you start with the same status and weapons you used to have in that level. With the password mode you start with nothing else than the basic. So sometimes you would prefer to play the game from the beginning instead of using level passwords.

Zangetsu sounds like a Japanese name, perhaps a samurai. So his primary weapon would be a sword. He does have a whip as the secondary weapon, and he can actually his for upward diagonal attacks which Miriam can't seem to do with her whip (although she does have a secondary weapon she can use for that type of attack).

Beautiful retro, with just a touch of modern advances in the more psychedelic parts (mostly the bosses). Only thing I didnt not like is the anticlimatic way you die - mo sound effects, nothing. Just, dead. Is there a sequel? I want more!

Actually playing it, it definitely isn't, it has the casual mode for those who hate the death pits and game overs but the normal mode is the real deal, it was made by a bunch of castlevania devs, even
