Dude default handling was so trash at default because you tune your car so much after unlocking after parts. 2015 hand some of the best handling if you knew how to customize your car(for a newer nfs game)

Underground was better because:
- Dyno
- Multiple shops that you actually had to find which was fun
- Way better handling
- More parts that could be changed
- Hot girls with big booba
- A better selection of cars
- A better map which was way more fun
- A better soundtrack
The only thing 2015 did better are the graphics. They ruined the most important part to a racing game which is the handling. 💀
2015 is the closest we had to U3 yeah, but it wasn't everything I hoped for.

i personally think if they make a 2015 2.0 wth offline, better AI, better cops, better handling, more customization from U2, day & night cycle, 4 seasons cycle, magazine photoshoot games like U2, RTX, more accessible map instead of it looking big but unaccessible for a big part, we'll have a real Underground successor.

A few things missing in 2015: NEON!!!!, soundsystems and other stuff could costumise like the collor of your engine,... magazinecovers, being able to open doors and hoods and so on,...

8:10 Underground 1 actually kinda did this a little. The AI in career mode were all the same drivers that would equip better items on their cars over the course of the game. They're not random like the other games
That’s why I’m saying that was the huge difference in gameplay over Underground games and other NFS titles like Most Wanted and Carbon. In Underground the gameplay was much harder to drive against Ai because they were better. It was still realistic but in Most Wanted the driving was easy but the cop presence was insane.
NFS 2015 definitely felt like underground. I think it would be a mistake to reuse the a previous game name, cause it will never beat expectations

I don’t know what to think about the Crew franchise honestly. It started as racing with a bunch of crime fighting storyline and then the Crew 2 came out and it basically took me just became Forza Horizon with planes and boats. I haven’t played Crew 2 but from everything I’ve seen it’s just not the same and it’s weird

It’s because, as you say, "the wicked ahh handling" for me. Brake 2 Drift and the handling in general where the car is all over the place at all time just ruin it for me. I just cannot get myself to buy a NFS game with this kind driving.
Exactly! That is my biggest issue with newer titles too, not the story, not the graphics, not the tuning. The driving overall is the problem.
This is the same reason I wont buy a modern NFS game. The awful handling system takes all of the fun out of the game for me. They re-use the same engine for each game and make adjustments to the physics system rather than starting over from scratch.
Even The Crew was able to go from an awful handling system in The Crew 1 & 2 to a decent one in The Crew Motorfest. Meanwhile Need for Speed continues to make games with awfully designed handling systems. NFS 2015 had probably the worst physics system out of any racing game I’ve ever played.

You can literally turn that off in the handling settings, lol. Both brake and gas or 1 at a time. Don't just assume they force everyone to drift around corners, lol.
Yeah after this one I never tried NFS again, the handling is ridiculous!

When I look at underground, I see the map slowly opening up as the story continues, sponsor deals that require a specific amount of races with bonuses, the X races and the underground racing league, and the tuning part you know when you put your car in a dyno and then tune the ecu, the nos, the turbo, etc. That is what made underground underground, for me at least.

@@ReboyGTR go back to NFS 2015 in terms of city, atmosphere, green screen cutscenes, being grounded and realistic rather than cartoonish and or video game look (NFS2015 still looks amazing). And improve it with better AI more event's and game modes, more episodes in the story.
More customization and better new simcade handling.
In the last decade NFS2015 is the game I played the most in spite of it's flaws

I’ve been calling this the underground successor SINCE DAY 1!!! This was the modern culmination of the old NFS. Yeah a MW or carbon remake would sell like hotcakes but this was such a perfect game from the disappointment that was rivals !!!
2015 is the closest ghost could go without having copy paste body kits and without alienating the nfs fanbase that likes to drive around in cars that aren’t tuner cars. It has the city, the cars, the mountains, the rain, constant night time, a (personally) fitting soundtrack. The game just makes sense as an underground game. Times change, they can’t just copy paste a 20 year old game anymore. People expect more from their games. It’s bound to be different.
ok so here are alot of similar things with 2015 and underground 2 specifically
- always night time and in some parts is early morning
- road is always wet
- uses a phone system
- has good customization
- has drag racing
- has drift racing
- has a highway around most of the map
- has outrun
- has racers driving around
- has a crash cam
- has a big city as a main attraction
- is more focused on road than offroad
- has a mountain area
- has a different city
- more speed focused map

You are talking about gta5 right? Apart from a couple of aspects, you do realize they are the same, right? Is this what made underground to you? Where are gameplay mechanics? Extreme customization?
Some of these are just not true.
- UG2 was always night time but never morning in parts like it is in NFS 2015.
- The road was not always wet. It would sometimes rain in UG2 which would affect handling somewhat, but most of the time it was dry conditions
- NFS 2015 does not have good customization. Lack of custom bodykits and significantly less spoilers/roof scoops/hood scoops, etc.
- The drag racing isn't remotely the same. Lack of lane changing or Early/Good/Perfect shifts and over rev system.
- Drift racing doesn't take place on closed circuits
- The crash cams could be disabled on NFS UG2
- Has a big city as a main attraction? Not too long ago on this same channel, Panthaa criticized this game for having a completely inaccessible city, while the City Core was entirely explorable in UG2
- Speed focused map? 2015 handling is best at low speeds and complete dogshit at high speeds.
- 2015 also does not have any "tournament" style events like UG1 did or UG2 with URLs.
@@jaxingoff6245 the road is always wet on the pc version of ug2, aswell as ug2 has something that looks like early morning, the handing bullshit your talking about is mostly just a skill issue i wont lie, about the urls thing, it does technically exist in 2015 but only in the speedlists, and the city part, there is a city that you quite literally are in when you exit the garage, aswell as i did not know you could disable crash cams in ug2.
Ill tell you exactly what i need, the driving physics of Underground / Most Wanted 05 but refined. I like cars that can turn and feel responsive. I despise the dependance on brake to drift, if i want to drift i want to feel like ive done it, none of this on rails burnout bs. And a return to exploration being a mechanic in the games progression. These are my needs.

I remember watching the trailers for NFS 2015 back when they just came out and thinking about why it was called just Need For Speed instead of having a specific title like older games and deduced that they maybe wanted to make it as a symbol for a new era of nfs games. I later assumed that it was a known fact that NFS 2015 was Underground 3 without being named as such. Also, at the time I had already played every nfs game (for pc and ps) and was so hyped for the game but didn't have a pc that could run. I was only able to play it 2 years ago and was still blown away but how good it was or at least by how much potential it had. I then played payback and heat and they both seemed very underwhelming especially on the story side and the fact that they kept the annoying brake to drift based gameplay that kinda fit the theme of 2015 (imo). Unbound however gave me a similar feeling to 2015, it had a huge potential that wasn't used to the fullest, tho it still has the best gameplay of all recent nfs games by far.
how do you fix the xsx gamepad working incorrectly for NFS15 Origin? went to play this game last month or earlier this year and the game couldnt detect my XSX controller all the inputs were broken and messy and unremappable.
A competent handling model is why I can't throw this in with underground.

the only things I really wanna see come back in from the older most wanted (the good one IMO) are the pursuit breakers like hitting the support of the doughnut sign and having it fall to block the road and immobilize the cops behind you. And the black list pink slips. Other than that I say heat is my favorite modern NFS game.

NFS 2015 IS Underground 3… It’s beta name was Underground 3 and they only changed it in the weeks up to the release
Of course they are not putting the legendary title on a new game - it has so much hype around it that it will be impossible to fulfill all the expectations (especially the nostalgia ones). New games have the soul of those legendary need for speed games.
Carbon was a transition for world traveling to be introduced. Carbon was supposed to bring canyon racing and canyon drifting
What I would like to see is something like starting out with lower tier cars and have to work your way up like we had in underground 2 I think that's what's been missing

Also underground had many hidden shops which you needed to find to get better parts and some was limited to time or event,I think they need to even bring that back and magazine covers etc. also.Also the handling needs to be like the og underground games with proper track racing also not copy of real life track,dyno etc.

Any game with a similar aura can be deemed Underground but Underground cannot be deemed as a game with a similar aura
UG3 already existed in 2006, it's called Carbon. If you watch UG2 development changes, many concept they wanted for UG2 was finally included in Carbon like vinyl layering or mix of night street racing with cops.
Only missing things, from the original 2 underground games, nfsu1 engine painting and magazines, underground2, engine painting, trunk audio layouts, gauge customisation and specified dyno tuning. That sums it up, but yes 2015 was underground 3
The lead designer James Mouat literally said that 2015 was called UG3 during development but was changed because of the limitations and expectations tied to being a sequel

You mentioned Carbon being an underground game...that's the game I want them to try and remake in a bigger way. It would be awesome to have a more lived in world with crews that you manage deeper. There can be a story that helps guide you to the top but make the game more about trying to stay at the top.

All I want is a game with insane levels of body kit customization, I want to have too many options to trick out my ride. The more options for nonsense that I can bolt onto a car the more I like the game.
i think people want the nostalgia but updated. car shows, meets, online pictures like the magazines of old. body kits, nitrous, slower cars to faster ones

bro ngl i want the gui of nfs 2015 back, i miss the boost meter. I was very happy when I bought my first turbo and just watched the boost meter go up. I miss that feeling in unbound and heat even tho its technically there, but not shown.

Well U2 had police planned but it was scrapped. 2015 does not have interior customisation, no star system, no magazines/pics, no new areas to unlock, no shops… now add those in, plus police system of MW05 and unlimit speed and there we go.. NO DAMAGE SYSTEM

Underground 3 already exists title wise just as a java game, but Truly we need an Underground 5 with Most Wanted 05' Cops, Carbon Drift Events, and Blackbox Era Handling
I think it’s because we all started with underground 1 and it was amazing growing up with. U2 came out and it was the same game but massively improved, so I think it’s just left us waiting and expecting U3 that does the same by adding so much more into the game and deepening the options of customization like engine swaps, more performance parts and tiers of them. Even if it’s not realistic or the mods don’t exist in real life but who doesn’t want to build a car in their own way to fit their play style. I personally want there to be so much to choose from that it’s almost overwhelming. Modding capability that would take forza horizon, grab turismo, kaido racer, Tokyo x racer all combined to hold a candle too.
Bring on the ridiculous civic swaps that rival hyper cars on the drag strip or highway. GTRs that are so fast they achieve warp speed. A freaking Kei Truck with a wide body and busa swapped ffs.

Few things missing, interior customization, and most of all the dyno tuning from underground 2. The story line for underground 2 was one of the best as for always something to do. The visual car rating and magazine challenges. Tbh id like to see a undergroud/pro street clash. Where there is dyno tuning, mods on the realistic side (unbound is trash) and closed course races like prostreet and shift. They really could surpass forza and gt as far as a fun playable game for everybody. I just feel they are coming in short. There was a game called import tuner challenge on xbox 360 that was one of the best made imo (it was part of the tokyo extreme racer series. I feel nfs could make a open world game derived from underground, merge closed course racing with like tracks placed on the map for sanctioned races, add in a parking lot quest of something like a blacklist or a small group of racers to beat, open up to long freeways leading to more to do. And be cool to see under hood visual mods. But they are letting AI make their games now. Thats why they seem so small. Like it seems there is no real story line to any of them. Be cool to see them merge everything into one game with a tokyo extreme racer influence. I feel thats what has always been missing. And nfsu2 was one of the best games ever imo. Tokyo extreme racer zero and import tuner challenge had all the missing links to nfs for me.

I would like a modern attempt at Rivals with modern customization and uncapped framerate, Rivals map is goated really, it shows that you don't need hundreds of roads, honestly i have started to appreciate the lesser open maps in the franchise Fairhaven for example, so many cool places to take the cops for a spin lol. I really love rivals and i recommend people to try it out again, still got a healthy player base also, also banger soundtrack.

I started playing this just two days ago. IDK how does it looks so good being so old. And one of the first things I've felt while just cruising the streets, is how UG2 feel it has to it. Certainly it is not as responsive as UG2 (drivingwise), and drifting makes very little sense when it comes to physics. But... you've got that night driving vibe, tho whole "buddying up" with the other characters, the bit of cornyness... I'm taking a sabathical off from forza and I thing it's a very nice place for that.

You made it seem like it is part of the franchise and it absolutely is people just need to open there eyes and go back and play these games. I agree but not everyone will carbon is also an underground game too literally is at night like underground games had and everything and the racing in the canyons similar to underground 2 and only because it doesn’t say on the cover underground 3 people are gonna argue it. I think that's exactly what the need for speed underground games were missing, the thrill of being chased that's why most wanted 2005 was so popular.
I miss early heat cops< they was perfect and lvl 3 and up was actually difficult.

What I am missing for it to be an Underground or good NfS in general is the handling first of all. Give us the old handling thats just fun and easy, gets drift handling in the specific events for it. Underground 2 has had the community being shown and what adds to it, doing photo shoots and events like that. And where are hero cars? We get like cars we see 2 times in the whole story driven by characters that just exist but dont interact. They are nothing to be remembered.
That being said, I enjoy the new titles, not as much but its still fun to play, especially with friends. Lets see where it goes with Unbound as its so far pretty good besides the driving effects lol
IMO, There is no UG3 yet existing, but Heat is a perfect reboot of what Underground should have been after Hot Pursuit 2 (or 1st era)

The 2 underground games and even MW/carbon had the story conected to each other. 2015 is a great basis on what they should build U3 on, with aome kf the characters from the U2/MW/carbon to follow up on this story
For me should be a mix of MW cops, characters/story from undergrounds/MW/carbon, visuals from U2 or 2015, nowadays graphics etc..

felt to me back in the day like Underground.
A small team should have been what this game had from the get-go after the closure of black box, I think EA finally has realized this is what they need to do.
