Kyle’s not gonna be able to go through Missing Limbs without shedding a tear or two I think. That’s probably my favourite from this album, along with Alkaline.
“This place will become your tomb” is a reference to the relationship, it is something that is bad for him and may eventually kill Vessel. Even though he knows and understands this he still can’t seem to leave and keeps getting pulled in further which I think is the theme of the album art work of him slowly sinking deeper and drowning.
I interpret the raised arms of the man on the cover sinking deeper is sort of acceptance, like he welcomes this as long as he gets to be with her. Along with Ascensionism I think he believes if he achieves a level of divinity, perhaps through death, they will get to be together forever, not just at Night.

It becomes even more of a thought because of Granite with the lines of "so keep an eye on the road or we will both be here forever" and "I was more than just a body in your passenger seat" and even "I see you go HALF-BLIND when youre looking at me, BUT I AM"
Also when I first listened to Atlantic I thought it was about a car accident because of the lines talking about people at his bedside and someone talking him through the damage, like he woke up in a hospital after a serious accident that changed his life forever (an accident where he got seriously messed up and also took someone's life).

There is some *extremely* old vessel music on YT, and in the descriptions he talks about being very embarrassed to be on stage. I think the mask is truly just a way for him to conquer that fear. It also allows him to be very vulnerable.

Sleep Token has taken over my music since November of last year. It's all I can listen to now. Normally I get hooked on a particular album from whoever for 5 or 6 months and then I move on for a couple weeks and come back to it. But with ST, it just doesn't stop xD I don't WANT to listen to anything else. Ronnie dropped new stuff and I can't be bothered right now. Nothing else is as enticing as what I've found in sleep token. There was a time I was in my car on the way to work, and thought to myself "I'm never going to find anything like this again. Not for years. Not until other bands venture out and try this style, and certainly not until someone else comes along to master something of this caliber." Even then, it simply WON'T hit like these guys do.
I am in the same exact headspace. I try and listen to other artists, other songs I used to love to listen to. They don't hit the same as before. I can confidently say I am eternally changed by Sleep Token.

I agree with you, Eric. Sleep Token has taken over my playlists. I have never been so invested in a band in my life. They are so different and refreshing and hit so many emotions. This album is a wild ride! Can't wait to see you all react to the rest of the songs!
I cried the first time I saw them live and they played this song. It’s one thing to listen to it. It’s a whole other thing to FEEL it in your bones. And he’s so good at doing that live and II, III, and IV all bring it every time. This is and will always be one of my favorites (as hard as it is to pick sometimes) from them.
Can’t WAIT for you to get to The Love You Want. Also can’t wait for you to get to the older releases One and Two (do them in that order!) but it’s been amazing seeing you go on this journey, as a long time Sleep Token fan it’s been incredible seeing their growth going from my first time seeing them where there were only a hundred or so people there, all the way to where they are now. So glad you’re taking the time to listen to everything they’ve got to offer!
I hope you get to see them live. That’s another incredible aspect. When they played Mine, Vessel added in the sobbing and the sound of desperation at the end. It’s an incredibly emotional experience, in a great way. Imagine how we all felt at Wembley when they played Bloodsport as the finale! Phenomenal.
This is the only band whose lyrics can mean so many different things depending on the listeners experience in life. The way the lyrics can simultaneously having multiple meanings and either bring comfort or break your heart is a testament to how well Vessel understands language and music composition. I don’t think any of us can say with 100% certainty what any particular song means and that is beautiful in and of itself.

That "talk-worthy" aspect comes from the lore, I think. Because Sleep Token drip-feeds you all kinds of lore as you listen to their albums. Some of it might be Sleep-related, and some might just be Vessel's own history, but it's all so heavily wreathed in metaphor that you can't help but engage in the storytelling to dig through clues and piece the puzzle together. ST isn't the only artist that does this, of course, but they do it incredibly well.
The car crash conspiracy could be something. Not only the lyrics in some of the songs, but the fact that he talks about the goddess 'sleep' could be him referring to be in a coma for an amount of time. It's far fetched and like you said, the mystery is far more interesting and keeps the conversation going.

It's only recently been a full year since Sleep Token's become a part of my life, but i find it difficult to imagine that there was ever a time when they weren't. I’m a very empathetic person, I connect really easily to a person or character’s emotions depending on how they’re displayed, and Vessel always tears my heart to shreds. There’s lots of his songs that make me emotional, but this is the one that breaks my heart because I know. I KNOW that he can’t have Sleep. But he’s still singing here like it’s already set in stone. He’s beyond hopeful and into certainty. But he’s *wrong* and it breaks my heart that he’ll have to learn that the hard way later. Can never get through it without breaking down into tears at the chorus. Absolutely adore Sleep Token, and I’m glad you two reacted to everything. Worship.

This song became a favorite after i saw them play it live (Thank you UA-cam). The way Vessel starts the song so simple, then that drop hits and he's like a full orchestra conductor! Absolutely beautiful. This is in my top 5 ST songs for sure. ❤ Worship ❤
This is one of my favorite ST songs - full stop. It was part of my early introduction to them this year. His certainty - that it will happen, that what he longs for is meant to be. Well, I was done for immediately. It speaks to something in me. It’s desperately, painfully romantic, and is in fact a waltz. It’s filled to the brim with longing and I just want to sit and linger in it. It makes time slow down for me (and I’m not a person who usually slows down). It hurts and it feels like hope at the same time - it buffets you like a strong wind in a high place. Honestly if I ever heard it live I think I would be sobbing, while holding the barrier to stay upright... Because I’ve listened to the whole trilogy… and things don’t always turn out the way you want. I’m not even going to start on how beautifully he sings it, the composition, the arrangement and production. It’s totally something… almost cinematic - it’s that powerful. If I ever manage to have a love like this, I’d like to share this with them… dance to this with them.

Eric, I totally get where you're coming from when you say that you have a yearning to hear Sleep Token's stuff and (at the time this video went out at least) they've become what you listen to mostly at the moment, because that's the place I'm at right now. I worked away from home last weekend and had to rely on wi-fi to listen to any music before going to bed. I had to, because I had Sleep Token lyrics running round my head all day while I was working, but because I was at work I couldn't just stop everything to listen to their source. It's weird isn't it? But I do feel them to be very soothing and wonderfully crafted, rather like looking at the most beautiful work of art while you're eating your favourite cake.
The entire TPWBYT album is perfect, you're about to lose your minds when you get to "Like That" it has a couple of stylistic traits in it that are unique to only that song insofar as I can really recall and I sometimes binge their discography for around 12 hours a day for months 😩
You need to see or watch a video of this song live. Omg it's so good. Vessel is just absolutely amazing. And if you hear it live, you will understand just how good. When I saw them, i mean every song was better than album, though that's also just the experience as well haha. But I will never forget Vessel singing "You Will Be Mine" while 3 pointed at me directly as he sung along. I'm not gay. But omg 3 is just a perfect being. Whether he meant to or not, we connected that night. It helped that I stood probably a head taller than everyone else, so I stood out even 4 rows back on the floor
The way Vessel sings with the breathiness and the drawn-out notes or singing through his teeth is exemplified best on Tomb. Tomb is the place to be if that's what you're looking for.
I always interpreted the dark signs lyrics "And if you saw the marks on my dashboard The new scars that I didn't ask for" as the dashboard being a metaphor for vessel's "hardware" or "inner workings" so to speak, and those marks became scars on him that came from someone else's actions/treatment because he didn't ask for them (he didn't put them there himself). Basically he's been hurt and altered forever by someone else's doings.
The “sit down and discuss this” is so true. The theatrical structure of the albums brings to music the theories and discussions about themes that happened for tv shows. It’s super smart to get us hooked but also incredibly hard to make it actually good and not corny because the individual lyrics and whole story must be great for it to work. Vessel is just something special.

I’ve gone down the rabbit hole and if you look at the back of Vessels left arm there are three symmetrical scars that make me think of the air vent that’s on the dashboard… like where/how you would protectively lift your arms to protect yourself
Hey, I love that you mentioned my theory here about the car accident. Especially with it being a reoccurring theme throughout this trilogy. Not to delve too deep but in the close ups you do see of his face he does have a scar that is visible around his chin, and you'll notice it more especially if you pause during the fall for me music video which of course we know you guys will be checking out soon.

Even though Sleep Token has also completely taken over my playlist, this is the album I come back to the most. For me, even as a standalone it’s the most complete of the three.
Just now I've seen a tweet that Mine is about Vessel's denial (wether it be denial that their relationship is over or denying that it's not a healthy one). And honestly, with this particular line: "We balance Fire in the earth we walk / Will never stop me reaching forth / To see you again / With colours over all the wasted years" and also this one: "I know you can see That you will be mine" makes so much sense, at least for me. Notice I put the first quote in a weird way, like a normal sentence. I myself interpretate this in 2 ways: 1) "We balance fire in the earth we walk" - relates to the whole water/ocean vibe/aesthetic of the whole album (saying like water and fire balance each other) 2) "Fire in the earth we walk will never stop me reaching forth to see you again with colours over all the wasted years" - these lines could suggest that their relationship *[earth]* was (probably) abundant in arguments *[fire]* (or just not healthy/toxic), but that it doesn't stop him from being with her {'will never stop me reaching forth to see you again'}, remembering the nice happy moments {'see you again with colours over all the wasted years'} The lyricsm might be the major reason why I love it so much. (the infamous Kyle line "Who thinks like this?!")

This is one of my favorite ST songs - full stop. It was part of my early introduction to them this year. His certainty - that it will happen, that what he longs for is meant to be. Well, I was done for immediately. It speaks to something in me. It’s desperately, painfully romantic, and is in fact a waltz. It’s filled to the brim with longing and I just want to sit and linger in it. It makes time slow down for me (and I’m not a person who usually slows down). It hurts and it feels like hope at the same time - it buffets you like a strong wind in a high place. Honestly if I ever heard it live I think I would be sobbing, while holding the barrier to stay upright... Because I’ve listened to the whole trilogy… and things don’t always turn out the way you want. I’m not even going to start on how beautifully he sings it, the composition, the arrangement and production. It’s totally something… almost cinematic - it’s that powerful. If I ever manage to have a love like this, I’d like to share this with them… dance to this with them.

Eric, I totally get where you're coming from when you say that you have a yearning to hear Sleep Token's stuff and (at the time this video went out at least) they've become what you listen to mostly at the moment, because that's the place I'm at right now. I worked away from home last weekend and had to rely on wi-fi to listen to any music before going to bed. I had to, because I had Sleep Token lyrics running round my head all day while I was working, but because I was at work I couldn't just stop everything to listen to their source. It's weird isn't it? But I do feel them to be very soothing and wonderfully crafted, rather like looking at the most beautiful work of art while you're eating your favourite cake.

You need to see or watch a video of this song live. Omg it's so good. Vessel is just absolutely amazing. And if you hear it live, you will understand just how good. When I saw them, i mean every song was better than album, though that's also just the experience as well haha. But I will never forget Vessel singing "You Will Be Mine" while 3 pointed at me directly as he sung along.
I'm not gay. But omg 3 is just a perfect being. Whether he meant to or not, we connected that night. It helped that I stood probably a head taller than everyone else, so I stood out even 4 rows back on the floor
The way Vessel sings with the breathiness and the drawn-out notes or singing through his teeth is exemplified best on Tomb. Tomb is the place to be if that's what you're looking for.
I always interpreted the dark signs lyrics "And if you saw the marks on my dashboard
The new scars that I didn't ask for" as the dashboard being a metaphor for vessel's "hardware" or "inner workings" so to speak, and those marks became scars on him that came from someone else's actions/treatment because he didn't ask for them (he didn't put them there himself). Basically he's been hurt and altered forever by someone else's doings.
I interpret this song is sleep talking to vessel.. but it could totally be interpreted so many different ways!

The “sit down and discuss this” is so true. The theatrical structure of the albums brings to music the theories and discussions about themes that happened for tv shows. It’s super smart to get us hooked but also incredibly hard to make it actually good and not corny because the individual lyrics and whole story must be great for it to work.

I’ve gone down the rabbit hole and if you look at the back of Vessels left arm there are three symmetrical scars that make me think of the air vent that’s on the dashboard… like where/how you would protectively lift your arms to protect yourself

Hey, I love that you mentioned my theory here about the car accident. Especially with it being a reoccurring theme throughout this trilogy. Not to delve too deep but in the close ups you do see of his face he does have a scar that is visible around his chin, and you'll notice it more especially if you pause during the fall for me music video which of course we know you guys will be checking out soon.

Just now I've seen a tweet that Mine is about Vessel's denial (wether it be denial that their relationship is over or denying that it's not a healthy one).
And honestly, with this particular line:
"We balance
Fire in the earth we walk / Will never stop me reaching forth / To see you again / With colours over all the wasted years"
and also this one:
"I know you can see
That you will be mine"
makes so much sense, at least for me.
Notice I put the first quote in a weird way, like a normal sentence. I myself interpretate this in 2 ways:
1) "We balance fire in the earth we walk" - relates to the whole water/ocean vibe/aesthetic of the whole album (saying like water and fire balance each other)
2) "Fire in the earth we walk will never stop me reaching forth to see you again with colours over all the wasted years"
- these lines could suggest that their relationship *[earth]* was (probably) abundant in arguments *[fire]* (or just not healthy/toxic), but that it doesn't stop him from being with her {'will never stop me reaching forth to see you again'}, remembering the nice happy moments {'see you again with colours over all the wasted years'}
The lyricsm might be the major reason why I love it so much. (the infamous Kyle line "Who thinks like this?!")
