Hello from Finland. nice video. I have been to Rovaniemi many times. That place is more beautiful in winter, and I think SantaPark is even more beautiful. I think it's also an experience for the children, because there's something like an elf school, Finnish gingerbread decorating and ice sculptures. I hope you will come to Finland again. ❤

@@chrisplusmelissa We didn't have any competition to participate in, instead we decorated gingerbread cookies as a family. ☺️ Unfortunately, we had just had coffee in the middle-cafe , so the giant gingerbread didn't taste so good anymore.🤣 Anyway, the activities there are no means spectacular, just peaceful. A bit like in the Moomin world.🤔 The idea is to focus on the moment and your own family, they just offer a fairytale world to experience it together.😘

And again I saw that you had a good time. I'm almost 55 y.o. Finn and I visited that Santa Claus village for the first time in 2021. Of course I had been to Rovaniemi before, but had just skipped that "tourist trap" :D
Sorry to tell you, but that arctic circle there is fake. The real arctic circle is about two kilometers north from that point but it's on a swamp and that village could not be built there. In fact the arctic circle crosses the runway of the Rovaniemi airport.

Yep, every year the actual location of the Arctic Circle (and therefore the Antarctic Circle in the southern hemisphere as well) changes slightly due to Earth's axial tilt. The Arctic Circle of the maps is placed pretty much exactly in the middle of the long-term range. In the short term, the position of the Arctic Circle can be considered approximately constant, although at the moment it moves an average of 14 meters towards the north each year. At some point in the future, the Arctic Circle (and the Antarctic Circle) will start moving towards south again.
There are similar tourist destinations, which are not quite precise, also in other parts of the world. For example, the Mitad del Mundo monument in Ecuador, which has a yellow line indicating the location of the equator, is actually 240 meters south of the true equator, etc.
It doesn't matter that much. If we believe in Santa Claus, then we can as well believe that the Arctic Circle passes through the Santa Claus Village. The long term average location of the Arctic Circle goes near there anyway and some day it will really be there again.

Just trying to figure out what you have your phone mounted to? I haven't had any luck with the moving gimbals and need a better hand held mount. Any advice?
Thank you for the kind words. I too have had issues with finding the perfect gimbal... so far, the best has been the Insta360 flow... it's not perfect, but better than what we've used in the past in an effort to get smooth video during movement. Often, we just use a Joby mount, however that's another set of issues. Nothing is perfect. 😊

We had emails that said our room would be ready by 4 PM, we were just going to check our luggage and they said our room was available! It's probably not common.
Instead of paying to see reindeer you could have just drove a little bit further down the road and seen one in the wild
They could've but seeing and being with them is way different!
You can get a real close view of it when it crashes through your windshield.
