    So glad I happened upon your channel. Not born in Maine (I'm a "Masshole" originally), but spent my IDYLLIC formative years (3rd-9th grade) on a 90-acre farm in southern Maine, so I was bitten by the Maine bug as a young boy forever. LOVE the eateries you discovered in Waldoboro, as Maine is loaded with a bunch of mom and pop eateries, aw well as some of the freshest, greatest-tasting local foods one could hope to find. Winters can be rough, but it's heaven on earth during warmer months. Waldoboro is now a must-visit on my list. :)

    The first video I've seen that correctly says (allmost) which countries belong to Scandinavia (Scandinavian peninsula), Denmark is not part of Scandinavia except through history and culture, often, almost always it is said that Finland does not belong to Scandinavia, although in fact Finland belongs more to Scandinavia than Denmark because the northwestern part of Finland is part of the Scandinavian peninsula,so-called Finnish Maiden`s hand and slide of that maidens head is part of the Scandinavian peninsula,and Finland is also historically and culturally a part of Scandinavia, just like Denmark.

    I always carry written backup of reservation info in a mini notebook, the kind that are 3 in a pack at almost any dollar store. I always use a pencil so I can update it on the fly if needed. Handy if you don't have a SIM yet in the country you are visiting when you find yourself out of public WiFi range, the taxi driver speaks virtually no English and thus can't understand which hotel you are asking to be taken, which happened to us in both Lisbon and Porto.

    49 reasons why I love living in Switzerland

  • @SoftimusPrime
    @SoftimusPrime 18 днів тому

    Here are a few more: 1. We are the kings of social distancing. Waiting for a bus or on public transport or in elevators etc we do not talk to strangers. I'm not saying it doesn't happen but it's even considered weird. 2. We love to take cruises. Just on the Baltic Sea or to Tallinn or Stockholm. Usually to kick back and party but to also bring in tax free alcohol. 3. When on an escalator, if you're standing still, always ALWAYS stay on the right. This is so that those in a hurry can pass easier on your left. 4. We never wear shoes inside. Shows are always left in the front hall. This is for comfort and to easily keep places clean. 5. When greeting, if you say "How're you doing?", we might start telling you how it's going. Here greetings are simple like Moi or Hei. 6. We get really excited and it's covered by the papers to some measure if one of us makes it big in, say, international entertainment. When our singer/actor Samuli Edelmann had a supporting baddie role in Mission: Impossible 4, it made headlines. The Swedes are so used to theirs that I suppose they don't even care anymore. 7. We always feel like the underdogs when it comes to a neighborly relation to the Swedes. Be it hockey or Eurovision Song Contest or whatever, we always kinda go in thinking "Well they'll win anyway…". We love our neighbors to the West but that's how it is.

    "Rapsöl" in English is rapeseed oil or canola oil, depending on the context: Rapeseed oil refers to the oil extracted from the seeds of the rapeseed plant. This term is more commonly used in Europe. Canola oil is a specific type of rapeseed oil that is low in erucic acid, developed and marketed primarily in North America.
