Another great video! Totally agree that IHG only makes sense for their sign up bonus and free night certificate as a sock drawer card. I am tempted to go for that sign up bonus but don’t even know if it’s worth it as a long term card. Same situation with my Marriott Bonvoy card that has seen devaluation and price chart inconsistency and changes over the years. Hyatt provides so much value and is by far the #1 hotel partner through Chase.

Exactly!! Chase is basically just a funnel for hyatt at this point

Nice video! I liked it overall, but I do think you made a straw man argument. Hyatt might give more value, but give out less points in terms of credit cards. Also, when looking at the other programs, like Hilton and Marriott, the valuations are about the same. The argument really only makes sense when you are transferring points from Chase.

Yeah, very fair. I should have been more clear on that. Do you have a preferred hotel chain you focus on for redemptions? I might do a deep dive comparing the reward programs and how to best pursue points for each.

@@ed_newell yeah, I prefer Marriott, though the Hilton Aspire makes me lean toward Hilton.

I appreciate your videos, but your argument doesn't make sense. You're comparing different currencies as if they are equal. CPP isn't everything. It would be nice if you can do a deep dive on the rewards program including things like
Elite benefits, earn rate, and credit cards.

Very good points. It’s hard to compare, and was really just using data points in my mind. I’ll look into a deep dive comparison
