Really enjoyed the video, especially the points about the value of the bottled water. So often you land at the airport, hop in a cab, check in and only then realize… water! On a different note… I have actually earned my Hyatt Explorist status through my MGM Rewards card through reciprocity… and then the points I earn for stays at MGM properties also gain points with American Airlines! Great video! Thanks.
Yes! Access to water after a long trip is very underrated. Awesome to hear you got Explorist through status match. The MGM, Hyatt partnership is another nice perk of the program. Thanks for watching!
Thanks, JP, a great one. I love the idea of Globalist status, but I can never seem to spend more than ten nights per year at the Hyatt, and all of those for work. My vacations (and many business trips) tend to take me to FHRs (for the pseudo status benefits) or Hilton (from the easy to grab Diamond status). How would you handle trying to get fast Globalist status through status matching or challenges?
The World of Hyatt credit card helps to get Globalist with spend. Also, if you can find a fast track offer through your company (if offered) that can be a quicker way of getting it. But Globalist isn't for everyone (especially with their smaller footprint). Hilton Diamond status is great to have. And if you don't spent that much time in Hyatts, it probably isn't worth it to pursue Globalist. Thanks for watching!
Do you get qualifying nights for earning a higher status from any Hyatt hotel category or do you need to stay at a certain category hotel? for example let's say you're discoverist and want to become an explorist can you stay at cheaper category 1 hotels to earn those qualifying nights for explorist or is there a minimum hotel category required?
Any hotel within the Hyatt program qualifies. No minimum required. Whether you stay at a hotel that costs $50 a night or $500 a night, you will earn 1 qualifying night for each stay.
Hyatt still worth it? I literally got the card a few months ago. One of the reasons is their partnership with MGM, since I live in La Vegas. …or is the card good enough, even with the MGG breakup.
It is unfortunate that their partnership came to an end. I still think the Hyatt is worth it. Their points hold a lot of value, and you can get a nice redemption with the free night award certificate that you get with the card.
I have the Chase freedom Chase freedom unlimited and Chase Sapphire preferred. Is it still worth getting the Chase Hyatt and when is it the right time to apply for it?
I like Hyatt properties myself but don't stay enough at them to get past maybe Explorist. Do you see yourself trying to requalify for Globalist status? Thanks for the info + video!
Yes! I will qualify for Globalist again for 2023. I really enjoy Hyatt hotels and their connection with Chase. But I do understand Hyatt isn't for everyone due to their small footprint.
How often can you apply for a chase card? I’ve applied for two cards 30 days apart. I’d like to apply for the WOH, & I’m at 4/24. Last card was 11/1/22. Thanks
Not sure which banks you applied with for the other 2 cards, but if they were all with Chase, I would recommend waiting until the new year. I typically like to wait 2-3 months if I am applying with the same bank. I believe it will give you better odds of being approved 👍🏾
@@jpknowledge8852 thanks for the response. The other 2 cards were with synchrony. I only have 2 chase cards, SW & CSP. Really enjoying the chase cards & points.
No. If you earn 100k base points from spending at Hyatt, you will achieve Globalist. That is a lot of money to spend at a Hyatt in a year. Having something like a wedding at a Hyatt is where this would be helpful to achieve Globalist. For most people, the easiest way to become a Globalist is through nights stayed, mixed with credit card spend.

The Hyatt Credit Card is Awesome! The free night award certificate that you get each year makes the card easily worth it.

I’m at 55 nights and just completing a 9 night stay at Luxor, then I’ll be globalist 🎈
🥳 Congratulations on reaching Globalist!! I hope your 2023 travel adventures are awesome!
Wait, if I transfer over 100k Chase points to Hyatt does that give me automatic globalist status?

@@jpknowledge8852 got it, thank you for the reply. 🙏
Great video, lots of good info
Glad you enjoyed the content. Thanks for watching!
I really want to go for Globalist, just trying to figure out how to do it.
Spend on the Hyatt card helps. Other than that, gonna have to do a lot of traveling 🛫
@@jpknowledge8852 I'm wondering if I get the Wyndham Earners Business card, if that would help.
@@kmb6916 I don't know any workaround with that card to achieve Globalist.
@@jpknowledge8852 it status matches to a lot of other hotel programs. Yeah the most it would help is to Explorist.
