There are many Paris, like NY, London or Barcelona. The take is not so rich when tell about Galleries Lafayette and Samaritaine, the three hotels are quite luxurious, but anyone can go for a coffee if it pleases. There are some secrets in Paris that we must be open to see, beyond the touristic points and the price of somethings, yeah you can spend quite some millions of dollars PER WEEKEND IN Paris, London and NY. But you may have lots of fun if you’re ready to see and feel that way “blaze” of life and find Hemingway’s steps and other priceless treasures. Bonne jorne!

The places for the ultra rich is only a hype. I won't go to Paris to eat haute cuisine or sleep in soft cusions. I would go to Paris to see the place, the outside ambience. All the luxuries that are sold can be found anywhere else in the world where there is tourism and whatnot. But you cannot see the grand view of the real Eiffel Tower anywhere else, and that's what adventurers go to see, not some overblended milk with a touch of asparagus.
Hype... these hotels aren't even advertised. If you are rich, you have to stay somewhere with appropriate security. Well...also, nobody who really loves Paris cares about the Eiffel Tower...thats actually hype. They go for the Musee de Moyen Age at Hotel Cluny or the more obscure museums.
You are in the lack of belief to sat this. For all VIP visitors, they keep museums all over the world open after hours closed just for private guided tour and security of VIP group.

Don't go to La Samaritaine. Since COVID, there is a shortage in several sectors, including sellers. They have had to downgrade the standard of service. From a shoe Repetto box containing shoes of different size (and of different models), to make up artist not remembering appointments in the due date and not finding back the book it was writting down on, to clothes being defective and only actual shops are able to take back/change and you being expected to overcome the interface from La Samaritaine to the brand's shop... I don't go there anymore, the service is much better in the direct shops. This is just a show off

You are right! Whenever I spend, I always consider how my rather limited resources should be allocated. Why spend $ 200 for a meal when I can save to pay almost all my electric bill for the month? it's hard to get a 360 view, given that most buildings are old and short. and there is a height limit for new buildings (max 12 stories i think)

Le Dali at Le Meurice is great. Le Grand Vefour is amazing. Grand Cascade is wonderful. Le68 in the Guerlain building was very fun but its gone now.

I have visited many beautiful cities in Europe, including Paris, as well as some in other parts of the world. Based on my wide experience I will say that Paris is a lovely city, but, definitely over rated.
