I wish the Eagles would allow the reaction channels to keep these up because it’s opening a whole new generation to their fantastic music! This is my favorite song by them, one of these nights is second! 😍
Sometimes I feel sad getting old, but then realize I've had the amazing adventure of living through the 50,60,70, and 80's. The 90's started to bleed and now these are strange times for me, all upside down.
What’s awesome about this band, and is displayed in this video, is the range of talent. Here you have Joe Walsh, one of the best guitarists of all time, playing the keys. Such an epic band
My favorite Eagles song. Also, Home Free, an acapella group, did an excellent cover of it - and you won’t be apt to get a copyright strike from them. They have a deeeeep rabbit hole to delve into.
You'll be lucky if this stays up. The Eagles block reactions like there's nothing else to do. Great music, but if they're going to be that way, I won't bend over backward to support them. I was 19 when this came out.
I agree. Don't give them the platform then. They have forgotten who they were playing for and why. Sad to see them disintegrate. Not all members though. RIP to those who have passed.
Eagles were great and this song is one of the most beautiful, sung by Timothy B. Schmit with his beautiful voice. Be sure to check out "Lyin' Eyes - (Live at the capital center 1977)" sung by Glen Frey and "Take It To The Limit" from the same concert, sung by Randy Meissner, so great. Every band member could sing and play several instruments and the harmony was perfect.
You know that this day and age striking a reaction is ridiculous. They should be excited that the younger generations are liking their music. Don't get me wrong, I am an absolute Fan🎉
Linda Ronstadt formed them up in 1971, recruiting Glen Frey and Don Henley to join her band in support of her 1971 Silk Purse tour. Glen Frey and Don Henley told LR they wanted to form their own band which found her helping in that endeavor more than any other…… thus, The Eagles were born: Glen Frey (Vocals, guitar and keyboards) Don Henley (Drummer, Lead vocals), Bernie Leadon (Vocals, guitar, dobro, and mandolin), and Randy Meisner (Vocals, guitar, bass guitar). David Geffen (Asylum Records) was introduced to Glenn Frey by Jackson Brown, who bought out their current label Amos Records in Sept 1971, then sent the four members to Aspen CO. to develop as a band. Some must-listen suggestions: Lying Eyes, One Of These Nights, Take It To The Limit, After The Thrill is Gone, I Can’t Tell You Why, and Wasted Time.
This is my favorite song by the Eagles! It’s sung by my favorite Eagle, Timothy B. Schmidt! I have seen them 3 times in concert, the last time was in 2022. I was in the 2nd row in front of Tim! Fantastic singer! Your reaction and commentary are brilliant! Great job!
One take. These guys are the DEFINITION of professionals. Still are. I saw them last October in Denver and besides Walsh's voice being old, they were perfection. I miss actual musicians so much. I know that there is art in what is happening out there now, but man when a great band nails it it seems so much more impactful. I've been able to find some good new stuff for sure, but the popular stuff isn't really for me (it's not supposed to be, I get it. I know I sound like MY grandfather saying crooners were the best thing ever.)
Really? I saw the a couple years ago and they just seemed tired and like, why are we here? The only bright spot was joe. Could have been an off night I guess.
@@keelsmac01 Yeah I bet at that age there are more bad nights than good, but they nailed it when I saw them. They did the coolest thing with Witchy Woman, made it sort of tribal, and I was here for it. Vince Gill was with them too and he improves everything musically. Of course it could have been the massive j we shared before we went in 😂
I got to see Timothy B. Schmidt sing this great song when he was playing bass for JImmy Buffet and The Coral Reefer Band. It was a great moment in the show. RIP JImmy Buffet.
Love, love, love the Eagles!!! I saw them in concert. When hell freezes over! That's what they used to say after they disbanded. I kept saying that they would come back so I could see them. When I heard the announcement that they were going to tour, I freaked out, saying I told you so!!😮😊❤ I love a song called " 7 Bridges Road." They harmonize so well together.
This is one of my favorite Eagles songs. You mention writing about relationships. You should check out a singer-songwriter who covers all facets of love look at Dan Fogelberg. His prime was 70s and 80s. He wrote about New romantic love, broken love, bittersweet reminiscing. He's very underrated. His most famous songs are "longer" and "Same Old Lang Syne" but there are better examples: "Seeing you again" "lonely in Love" "heart hotel" "make love stay" " believe in me" "tell me to my face""dancing shoes". Fogelberg's album "Souviners" was produced by Joe Walsh and Glen Frey sang backup on at least one of his songs.
You're lucky to have the musical perspective and generational awareness of music you do because it will expand your horizons farther than the end of your nose. TBS came from an oldie but goodie band, Poco -- he was a genius addition to Eagles lineup🦅 Also, Loved seeing Glenn Frey looking so young & healthy❤️🩹
You just beautifully described the difference between today's music and the music of the past. I'm an old guy with A LOT of musical suggestions. I'll pace myself so you're not overwhelmed. Subscribed.
The best version of an Eagles song that I have ever heard was the live acoustic performance of Hotel California from the Hell freezes over tour. They called it that because people said they’d get back together again when hell freezes over. I guess it did. Any performance from that tour is absolutely fantastic. You might want to check it out.
I love you going down memory lane. Mijo I’m swaying back and forth, that loving feeling is just as strong for me 8 years after his passing. ❤️❤️❤️👵🏼 . Looking forward to Karen Saturday?? . And if you do go to Moms spaghetti, hope you get to meet EM🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾. Exactly was real music. I’m one of the lucky ones. ❤️❤️❤️❤️👵🏼 Gmaw
I love your perspective on this. This is the music of my youth and coming of age. As you so well put it today's music has a hurried , contrived, do it for the clicks, kind of vib. There are some great songs, but back then music was making a transition from talented, creative, expression, to a business model. You are already light years ahead having noticed this. Love your channel.
I was 9 years old when this came out and I always loved it when it came on the radio. All these years later and it is still my favorite by them. The bass line on this song is just perfection, and so is Don Felder's guitar solo at the end. Someone said one time that this was recorded perfectly in one take. I don't know if that's true, but it wouldn't surprise me. I hope they don't take this down, because more people need to know about this song.
Bingo Republic Mo guy. Pleasant Hope Mo here… Todays bands forgot the basics. They want it quick and fast. They forget about the years of practicing to get to this level. The Eagles were magic together.
Love, love, love this song. No matter how many times over so many years, it still grabs my heart every time. The tune, the instruments, the words, his voice and the background vocals all together make this song a masterpiece in my opinion. Not always, but the beauty and emotion in it, can still bring a tear sometimes. I also love how the background vocals at times, seem like they're thoughts running through his mind, while he's trying to explain to her how he feels.
Someone suggested u do Life's Been Good by Joe Walsh in one of ur lives, but u didn't do it cuz it's a 9 minute song, but u should pretty please do a video for it! All the members of this band all have amazing solo music!!
🌸 having watched you for quite some time now, I've come to really respect you. and hearing you talk about the quality of today's music compared to the old music in this video, I believe that you know what you're talking about I mean that's your business!
Homeboy, I've been watching you for a while. I love that you're so open to check it out. Music that I love, because this is music I love, I grew up on this kind of music, I would literally fight for this music. This is beautiful stuff. This is back when artists really cared about who they were And how they sang There's no fat on this. These artists are artist When you look at the eagles, you have to look at every single member of that group. Do you know the eagles question mark do you know who the eagles are? Some of the best music makers and artists of all time
Cliff, I wish I could take you back with me. I started out with equipment not much newer than that. When this came out I was 10. I hope you listen to more from the era. #eagles
My favorite Eagles song! I saw them in concert around 1997. It was soooo good! They played their Eagles songs then they sang their individual hits. Sooo good!
All of these guys are so talented. Don Felder on the guitar is so dreamy. Timothy B. Schmidt's voice is so velvety. The harmonies are on point!! Classic and Timeless!! RIP Glenn Frey.
No this particular song you have Timothy B Schmidt. Lead vocals/ bass Don Henley. Drums / vocals Glenn Frey. Keys / vocals Joe Walsh. Keys / vocals Don Felder. Lead guitar / vocals The great thing about the Eagles, any member of the band could be a lead vocalist
I love cliff beats. This is like my favorite reaction channel. And the main reason why I love it is because he's so antibiased. Play your music. Please let us hear what you think of my generation my music
Back in the 70s I was a teen late 70s early 80s and Eagles were on my top 5 bands and they just sound so calm and relaxing I still listen to them. Amazing Albums and I owned them all.
Everybody in the band has a killer lead vocal.
Like The Beatles (and song writers).
Don’t need to go any further back than the 60’s - 70’s. Especially the79’s. 😍
Except Don Felder............but he played the double lead with Joe on Hotel California......brownie pts for sur ......LOL
The Eagles have a rule...if you write it, you sing it!! And Timothy B. Schmidt rocks this beautiful song!!💜💜🎶🎼🎵🎸🎧🎙🎤🥁🎹🤘🤘🔥🔥
Unless you’re don felder 🥴
@@keelsmac01yeah, well Don F. didn't have the voice the others do.
Although I thought "Life In the Fast Lane" was Joe, but he didn't sing it.
I wish the Eagles would allow the reaction channels to keep these up because it’s opening a whole new generation to their fantastic music! This is my favorite song by them, one of these nights is second! 😍
Exactly! They'd make more money as the younger generations discovering them start downloading their timeless music!
Cool thing about the Eagles is everyone got to be an amazing vocalist once before they got fired.
Sometimes I feel sad getting old, but then realize I've had the amazing adventure of living through the 50,60,70, and 80's. The 90's started to bleed and now these are strange times for me, all upside down.
Ditto.
What’s awesome about this band, and is displayed in this video, is the range of talent. Here you have Joe Walsh, one of the best guitarists of all time, playing the keys. Such an epic band
I think every one of them had a successful solo career.. Amazing talent ❤
The Eagles are hard to do reactions too but we all still show up for their songs. Theyre the best.
It’s their job and they treat it like a business and THATS why everything they do is perfection! Such a class act!
I love the Eagles and this is one of my favorites.
But they DO like to hand out strikes. Tread carefully.
Seven Bridges Road ❤
AMAZING vocal harmonies! 💙
This song is everything when you are in the middle of it. So amazing.
My favorite song!!
Oh the harmony! 🥰🇺🇸
My favorite Eagles song. Also, Home Free, an acapella group, did an excellent cover of it - and you won’t be apt to get a copyright strike from them. They have a deeeeep rabbit hole to delve into.
Im 66, so that was my era. We didnt know how good we had it. You just turned on the radio and good music was on....ALWAYS!
You'll be lucky if this stays up. The Eagles block reactions like there's nothing else to do. Great music, but if they're going to be that way, I won't bend over backward to support them. I was 19 when this came out.

It's don Henley, sir deuchbag himself.
Play some Al Green. 'Love & Happiness' to start. Pure 70's soul music.
Two great recommendations both are must sees.
I hear my father in law, “ damn long hair hippies” lucky for me living in those times❤️
This is a great song keep it going with the old school music 🎶
My favorite Eagles song hands down!
You know that this day and age striking a reaction is ridiculous. They should be excited that the younger generations are liking their music.
Don't get me wrong, I am an absolute Fan🎉
The Eagles are just class all the way!!!

67yrs young & ❤❤❤ Best of the Moody Blues & thank You! Beautiful Tribute to Precious Memories of the 70's Priceless Music ❤❤❤
My second favorite band, after Queen of course! These guys were/are so talented. I grew up in the 70s and 80s and man, we had the greatest music ❤
So did I, best music 🎶 ever!!!
Bad Company "Shooting Star"
Styx "Renegade" = A must Cliff.
You completely understand ❤❤❤❤
I am so glad I am 50 and lived through all this amazing music.
Agreed
This is one of my favorite Eagles song
Love your reaction & comments regarding older music vs. new music. This is one of the best slow songs ever.
I haven’t heard this song in at least 15 years, but I remember it so well I even knew the guitar part!
O my goodness! I forgot how much I LOVE The Eagles.
And I miss keyboards in groups. Attention to lyrics and melody.
Muah! Chef's kiss!
Highly recommend checking out Chicago’s “25 or 6 to 4” live from Tanglewood. Great live performance:)
This is their best song, right here

Crazy they do this.
Have always loved this song. Timothy's voice is fabulous. They're all looking good in this video too.

I envy you. I would have loved to go to that tour.
One of my fave Eagles songs!
A very simple song but beautiful and the musicianship is incredible
This is by far my favorite Eagles tune. Love seeing Joe Walsh on keys and Timothy B. Schmit tugs at my heart with vocals. Great reaction.

They were so young. Wow brings back memories.
Uriah Heep...Stealin is another great song!
I appreciate your candor ....Thank YOU!
Ahhh Don Felder on that guitar. ❤
He makes the guitar sing so beautifully.
You're right it's very emotional for me for reasons I won't go into right now. These songs bring back many many memories good & bad. Love ur channel.

Favorite Eagles song
I’ve always loved this song!!
You nailed it! Saw them 3 times live in the 70's❤
🌸 one of my very favorite artists and songwriters is James Taylor. I was hoping you might consider going down that rabbit hole because it's amazing

Eagles were my junior high high school days. Amazing band. Funny, only song im not wild about is hotel California. Lol. Deep dive is worth it
Amazingly beautiful song. Excellent analysis of the current trends.

The two guitar solos are amazing in that the individual notes are slow, clear, and intentional. Amazing guitar work.
All of these guys are so talented. Don Felder on the guitar is so dreamy. Timothy B. Schmidt's voice is so velvety. The harmonies are on point!! Classic and Timeless!! RIP Glenn Frey.
Felder's work on the guitar in this song is like a mind massage 😊
great job little brother and love your commentary
one of the best sad love songs! dbl ♥
🌸 my favorite Eagles song.
Amen
No this particular song you have
Timothy B Schmidt. Lead vocals/ bass
Don Henley. Drums / vocals
Glenn Frey. Keys / vocals
Joe Walsh. Keys / vocals
Don Felder. Lead guitar / vocals
The great thing about the Eagles, any member of the band could be a lead vocalist
Classic jam that even tough guys will admit to loving.
Timothy B Schmidt has an amazing voice as well as Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Bernie Leadon, Don Felder was the original guitarist before he was fired

What made them great was that they were ALL lead vocalists.
The band Styx had 3, but Eagles had twice that number
I think this is my favorite Eagles song ❤ you need to hook into Darryls House for live jam sessions
Back in the 70s I was a teen late 70s early 80s and Eagles were on my top 5 bands and they just sound so calm and relaxing I still listen to them. Amazing Albums and I owned them all.
Love Timmy's voice!
Take it to the Limit!!
I hope that was a wrap, the first time . I don't think they could improve on this. Perfect...
The Eagles are gonna strike your video… they are hardcore with that stuff… at least that’s what every UA-cam reactor says.
Don Henley yo!
Oh ya, I've heard the same
Specifically, Don Henley (drummer/vocalist)--he's relentless!
The Eagles have such a rich history! Glad you appreciate true talent!
My fave eagles song❤
Excellent choice
Eagles ,One Of These Nights
Eagles are amazing! Love this song. Love your reaction!
Dude.The "I can't tell you why" was rhetorical. 😂
Communication is very important. But understanding is the key that unlocks trust. Trust is the foundation.
