Pretty good work, just have to watch your nail pattern so a nail doesn't land in a seam. Just noticed the one at the end of the video, it's close to the ridge so most likely won't cause too much problems but should still try to avoid that 👍
Installers range from $23-35 where I am. Labourers usually get around $17-22. It's hard, dirty work, definitely plan on icing or having a heat pad on your thighs and arms after your first 8 hour day. Or even a bath. Lots of people are usually looking for labourers, just got to look around on Facebook jobs or craigslist.
I've laid Malarkey all the time, and I never take the tape off the backside of the shingle. Its a waste of time and isn't needed. You can say its for bonding purposes but its not. It does all the same either way.
No, you don't take the tape off. It's meant to be there during the packaging process so the shingles don't stick to eachother. Sometimes there's a manufacturing defect which causes the tape to peel off slightly which is a pain in the as because that's when you get a bunch of those little strips flying around everywhere.
