Flipped my 2020 scrambler over backwards going up steep hill, goes into the shop next week to get fixed, can't wait to get it back love the thing. Have had it since June and have flipped it twice now don't ask how lol full sending it, been beating the he'll out of it. For the most part its taken it well I'm impressed.

There was a time I never thought I'd say this (back before I rode the Scrambo s) but the width isn't as much of a disadvantage as I thought it would be, the long travel suspension? - a game changing advantage. Front end push is a bit annoying but doesn't seem as bad in 2wd. I love my Scrambo! Great videos guys! I look forward to every one!

Nice tests. Even though these were posted ~20 months ago, when I was not considering the Sportsman S, now I am. These tests, and suggested upgrades are very helpful. I own a 2015 Sportsman 1000 and 2011 Can Am 800 XXC. Ordinarily, I'd select a 2023 Can Am 1000. But several factors favor the 'S'. 1) I have a set of Mattracks, once used on a 2009 Sportsman. But my 2015 Sportsman has the damn muffler located in the right rear wheel well. The 'S' will not have fit issues. 2) Even a 48" wide Polaris has a better suspension than Can Am for the rocky terrain so common in western states. 3) I have Camoplast tracks for the Can Am XXC. So, selecting the 'S' will enable tracking two quads.

The Scrambler already has a bit more front end push than we wish. Adding wider rear tires would only increase the traction bias to the rear increasing front end push. There's plenty of rear end traction.

But there are utvs in the same price range. Polaris own rzr 900s is close to the same price. And only a little wider. So the scrambler S will have to compete with utvs for sales for sure.

We originally planned on using the Outlander because we didn't have a Renegade when we laid out the series. We are planning on doing a Renegade test in the coming weeks and didn't want to get out Renegade all dirty prior to filming its stock test. To satisfy everyone's curiosity as to how the Renegade and Scrambler S will stack up, we will be doing a slightly more formal head to head comparison in the future.
