This video saved me and my son about $913 at the dealer for a whole new shifting console it was the loose wire on his 2016 Nissan Sentra. Thank you so much for posting this video it was very very helpful
this video was a big help. When I thought about going to a dealer I didn"t even want to guess how much it would cost so after watching the video I started to check the wiring.while sitting there and pressing the brake pdal I started to tap the blue solenoid and suddely the shifter worked. Thanks again for the video.
The blue part doesn’t engage when I press my brake. Does it mean it needs to be replaced? I got the 2 new switches and will try replacing those this weekend to see if that fixes it
Hi I’m having issues with my 2013 sentra, and once in a while I have to stick something in the shifter hole to be able to move from park to drive. But it happens once in a while, what do you think it is.
u can do by pass by holding down the shifter while pushing it to the right and press the button and dont forget to press your brake and P to Drive. thats what im doing for now while waiting for my shifter assembly to comes in so i dont have to replacing the rest of the part of it.
Thank you for the video. The problem is the little piece that is tucked on the inside. It has 2 wires that are bended and heldn inside a plastic path. i think because od the extreme bend and pressure the wire was broken and did not make a contact. I replaced and soldiered a new piece of wire and all works well. Thanks again for the easy fix!!!
Mine has been stuck for a while, used a bobby pin to unlock. But now it’s stuck and has gotten harder to switch!!! So I’m hoping after watching your video it works . Thank you
