Not too many artists can do what ricky did for country music. He will remain in my top 5 forever (no one is taking Alan Jackson from first for me I grew up with him).

Does Ricky Van Shelton perform anymore? I had read somewhere that he stopped performing to take care of his family, which is very noble and human. I will always enjoy his songs even if I never see him perform.
I do! His album 16 biggest hits on spotify is so good! And it brings a lot of childhood memories! Me and my mom used to play Ricky Van Sheltons's albums on our way to my grandparents (moms site) in the car and we used to sing along to the music! He and Alan Jackson are my kings when it comes to country music!
As far as I can tell, Ricky Van Shelton has never recorded a "bad" son. He has a voice that is superb!
