It’s also sad that this guy never got the respect & attention he should have gotten & deserved to get from the industry. He was never included at the Award Shows or nominated for anything & he isn’t the only great Country Singer from that era that was treated that way. Aaron was one of the best & I’m still listening.

I new Aarons cousin Randy who was a fine singer himself... he sang a rendition of Go High on the Mountain that was superb. I remember once I was helping Randy move, and we were trying to put a probably 400 pound hot tub on a second story deck. it was a soft rain falling and I went on top and Randy, his maybe 16 year old son and another guy were below pushing it up from a pick up bed! Well things got tough and the boy fell down , and then the friend slipped and fell I was doing all I could... but Randy a big man, reached down and pushed that 400 pound hot tub up and held it until everyone was safe and between us all we got it up there... but to this day whenever I think of that day I can't help thinking about the old Jimmy Dean song "Big Bad John"! If Randy hadn't been the hoss of a man he was people could have been hurt!
