Getting rid of PoE's clunky ass potion system is the best news I've heard about PoE2 so far. There is seriously no reason for me to be playing piano in the middle of a fight just so I can keep my buffs up. And less but more meaningful loot is definitely the way to go. I always get shit when I say this, but if your game NEEDS a loot filter, that means your itemization is trash. Last Epoch is the perfect example of this as there is so much useless garbage that drops in that game that making a filter is mandatory.
Yeah, of all the ARPGs I think LE has the best case for just removing the white drops in monoliths and higher content. Hypothetically, you could make use of a white item under really ideal circumstances, but it's probably far less efficient than half-a-dozen other options. I don't understand keeping that loot dropping. The loot-splosion = good mysticism is way too strong with some of these devs. Makes no sense for regular items. Affixes...okay, they kinda get a pass, even though after a while having to have them go to your inventory first is just an annoyance and serves no purpose. Idols are a bit of a harder problem to solve, but I think the item filter is fine for that.
Agreed I think Grim Dawn has some of the best itemization of any game imo the built in loot filter isn’t necessary and the legendaries are extremely impactful
@@chaddrusso8850 true, except white item, most of the gear have clear purpose. green gear for strengthen specific skills, blue for transition, purple for end game. POE have no gear set, bks they feel set limited playstyle. but when there are hundreds of set for each skill & build it's still very fun.
Engaging and impactful combat is the key component for POE2. They have build such a beautiful combo combat system. It would go to waste if you just use 1 button while going faster then light.
My experience in d4 was doing 0 damage without cooldowns. So I literally afk'ed a corner else 15 shots white mobs with a basic attack. Id rather tab out and come back when ult was up. :/
I absolutely love the speed of PoE 1. It's an adrenaline rush. No other ARPG plays like that or is even capable of playing like that. However.... I completely agree with anyone who hates one shot mechanics and I'll trade some speed for a little less one shot BS.
most of the PoE1 flask system should have been automating those flasks (not via keybinds but using triggers). I'm not sure why everyone is complaining about spamming flasks.
@@xmarine73 Because spamming flasks combined with wasd movement felt clunky, almost everyone who played poe 2 came to that simple conclusion, and that's why ggg is reducing the amount of flasks
@@Vyend so was this just an issue in PoE2 that "everyone" had already grown tired of before it's even come out? My point is that everyone is talking about their experience in PoE1, as far as I can tell (as that's the only way we could be tied of doing something), and at some point your flasks should be (almost everyone? completely?) automated. I've played PoE since it was in beta and as soon as the utility flasks (which included a few that have life) were able to have triggers, I don't think I've spammed flasks since. Even going from level 1 to getting to maps, I just don't really use them.
For the people complaining about the delay it was worth an a good reason they are trying to transfer everything you paid for and bought ( skins, stash tabs ect.) not alot of other games can and will do that (D4Bad,Smite-Skins) so just let them cook we dont need a half baked game we want a good baked game
@keleko55 yea exactly read it again we cant dodge but swerve dodge sucks unless you build evade like in D4 a Spiritborn evade build, we can do the same but least we not lock into one skill tree point 🤦🏻♂️
The Merchant NPC in your hideout speculation gives me some major Ragnarok Online nostalgia. Setting up your merchant character using a "Vending" skill so you can sell items with set pricing to other players. Bring the trades back to being more personal. Though the NPC part would make it more like FF14 retainers.
Ah yes, Ragnarok. WOE..good times, the first time pogging killing zombies way above your level by healing them, good times. Completely molly wopping someone with a crit blacksmith, good times :'(
@Nobody-hc1rw Glast Heim zombie prisoner turn undead Priest leveling, sniping hodes, killing ants in Ant Hell, clocks in clock tower for mages. So many good options. Or the age old Payon dungeon for its chill bgm.
The flask change sounds like they took to heart what some suggested and went for the elden ring style life flask mana flask. Active flasks was a lot on top of the multiple skills so having trinkets seems like an ideal choice
50% of a functional game is better than 100% of a broken one. I'd rather play the half that functions with minimal/ no bugs. We farmed Dominus in act 3 all those years ago, I see no reason not to do something similar. Shit, just them telling us beforehand and being transparent is enough for me to not rage for any reason. Any company that respects my time, is worth supporting.
the built in system is welcomed but being able to customize your filter til the cows come home even with sounds is way too fun not to have so i hope that option stays.
I hated the last epoch ingame filter system, it was so clunky and slow to make a filter with that. I much prefer a well crafted 3rd party tool like filtration, it's a lot quicker and less restrictive than any ingame system could reasonably be.
The article really sounds like they're waiting for full release to drop the second half of the campaign which I really hope is not the case, but if it is, it seems they needed more work than just a rebalancing
So the blood gems sounds like what maligaro is talking about in the lore from the first game. It's around the gemling queen where he is talking about dipping the gems in thematic sulphite and blood then have to put it in a body before it cools. Maybe that's why they are called blood crystals and Malika was trying to mimic the vaal so makes sense to me
Waiting for this kind of game for 20+ years, love the slower pace where your actions/skills matter. So sick of the braindead gaming, one button spamming, "blasting", going fast mentality that has ruined the charm of gaming. Much LOVE GGG, THANK YOU!
One more thing Tri. You said to be revealed classes. They're all known: 🤫😁 Witch Ranger Duelist (tbd) Shadow (tbd) Templar(tbd) Marauder Warrior Huntress (tbd) Sorceress Mercenary Monk (tbd) Druid (tba)
Yeah but if you go too far, you get d4. A lot of us like having abilities that work together to do different things. I dony want only 4 buttons. Id get so bored so fast. Thats why poe2 has skills that modify pther skills when used together correctly. Way better than 3 buttons that build/spend/ult
@@taylon5200 true but it can't be 5 butons for flasks then another 8 for skills. thats too much. reducing flasks to 2. opens up the same comfortable keybinds they took for skills instead.
When I played open beta I was crying out for more loot drops. I found a pair of +10% movement speed boots early on in Act 1 and by the end of Act 2 I was still wearing them. Didnt find any other boots with movement speed and didnt have enough currency to craft my own.
Remember that in Poe1 Ancestor Liega we learn that Doryani is missing in the Afterlife. So if we can travel back in Time with the help of Alva. We could take him out from Existence to the Present to help us with any task. But this incomparable Genius may not be as loyal to us, as he is to his Queen. So a lot of potential for Drama and Doublecrosses.
Thank you for all the breakdowns. Sadly been too busy with other things to keep up. Trying out Necro Settlers now though. I finally have time! Might be able to get a friend to play normal settlers before PoE 2 Early Access. Really looking forward to it.
Having not enough compfortable key binds for the 5 flasks on top of more skills and WASD movement was a big concern of mine. I'm glad they adressed it! I'm not sure if I like the idea of automatically activating trinkets though. I prefer either passive immunities on gear or active immunities on flasks. If you have no control over when the trinket activates there will likely be situations in which the trinket doesn't activate (because all charges were used up or it was on cooldown depending on how it works) and the player dies because of it similarly to cwdt guard skills in poe 1. It won't be reliable.
I was talking about it yesterday with my pal - like how i do try play WSAD when i use QWER for flasks in poe 1... Glad they ditching other then life/mana flasks :)
I actually appreciate a ton that you put the review / TLDW at the very first part of the video, this just made me sub and actually watch the video in full. W Format.
The change to speed builds vs non-speed builds is a very good change inmho. Speed builds are just crazy in po1 currently. And they greatly devalue builds that can't go fast even if they are strong(like slam builds with slow attack times).
For the new flask system I'm hoping that flasks will be limited to life and mana to reduce the piano gameplay and you still can give them modifiers like "Grants Immunity to Poison if used while poisoned" but you going to have trinkets to activate the flask, like "use a life flask when poisoned", so it automatically activates the desired flask effect.
Great content, thanks for keeping us updated! Just curious: since only six classes will be available in the Early Access release, will all weapon types be available, or will we only see class specific weapon types initially? I assume the "related" weapon types will be released with their respective classes, but I haven't heard a clear statement about this.
Crystals - makes sense now the jewel slots disappeared from the passive tree :) flasks is like the biggest super hype. The current system is just not good and only 1 button to press flasks is the only good solution here - I love GGG
@5:35 In Elden Ring, you can pick a class and still go in any direction of playstyle you want. I could pick a Samurai for a rivers of blood bleed build, and end up being a mage. If in today's gaming we have to explain why are there starting classes, despite the fact how that same cluster of mechanics being on one of GOTY titles exists, then I don't know what to tell you.
Great video summarising the article. I do wonder about the 9-10 hours per act, especially when we look at the Act 1 playthroughs on UA-cam. Might be more accurate to put it at 3-4 hours per act for PoE 1 players. Hope I'm wrong though😅
Bro, I remember when I told you about my interest in skills with colddown, in skills similar to those in LoL, and seeing that they retracted their old philosophy and now that is a reality, it seems that this game will be phenomenal, the skill with cd that they showed of the warrior is very nice. And since they have skill cancellation like in LoL, I hope they add PvP, it would be beautiful, not too much or obligatory but enough to go and try with your character. I can't wait to play it! Greetings crack!
So, I've been going on a bit of a lore trip down the poe wiki rabbit hole. Based on PoE 2 story we know from demos so far I have some speculations. **Pulls out red string and thumbtacks** I was going to post a giant wall of relevant lore and dialogue from the wiki but I'll try and reduce this into a TLDR; -VVVVV- This needs a little background, but it's hard to keep things in order since a lot of things seem interconnected. We know Oriana (The lady with the Iron Count) is transporting around a monster in a cage, referred to by the Hooded One as the "Seed of Corruption", feeding people to it and spreading corruption. The trailer with her voiceover establishes she's going to do something to rid the world of Gods permanently, "no matter the cost". During the fight with the Count in act 1, he tells her to "Release the beast", but I think it's "the Beast" with a capital B. Sin from the first game planted a "seed" that grew into what we know as "the Beast", which put all of the Gods to sleep and prevented others from awakening to godhood. Apparently he did something that cost millions of lives or perhaps utilized the lives lost in some catastrophe to grow the Beast. Sin regretted not giving the Beast a will of its own, as it ended up being taken advantage of by the Vaal, and Malachai, Dominus, and Piety who became corrupted by it. Piety had experimented on humans with its corrupting nature to create many twisted creatures. All of these characters in their corrupted form, as well as the creatures she made from the Beast, are classified as "Demons". The Last to Die, from Scourge League, is confirmed to be an alternate reality's Alva. Her Blood Crucible, a joint creation of Chaos and the Vaal, allows you to shift into "Nightmare" (capital N) to face the Scourge. Malachai's proposed rewriting of the world using the Beast's power is also referred to as "Nightmare", and interestingly in a lore note about the creation of the Reverie(map) Device, he also says "I have taken my maiden voyage into Nightmare." In the Library quest, the page 3 translation references the fall of the Vaal, using the words "sleep"(dream? the realm of maps maybe), nightmare, and "the Beast", likely a mass corruption event brought on by Doryani's experiments involving sacrifice to acquire immortality. The Delirium NPC called it "An entire civilization caught in a blood-hungry frenzy." This event was echoed by Malachai when he caused the cataclysm and wiped out civilization on Wraeclast, becoming fused with the Beast. Something interesting on the wiki for Chaos is "...fall of the Vaal Empire, the outcome of Chaos' direct intervention to prevent Doryani from unleashing an execution of humanity through his communion with the Beast." Implying that the destruction of the Vaal was the "good" outcome. More on this later. We killed the Beast, so Malachai's Nightmare was averted, but now Oriana would seem to be raising a new one to rid the world of Gods once more. When we initially blast a hole in the Beast to get inside, the wall is made of purple crystals not unlike Chayula's Breach splinters, and the Breachlord boss rooms share a theme with the Beast's insides. Fleshy and with curved horns/spikes everywhere. The Beast's presence seems to grow these purple crystals as well as Virtue Gems, which are mined at The Quarry above the Beast. The Vaal civilization was built around the Beast's virtue gems, and there was also a sect of the Vaal that *worshipped Chayula*. Per the old Breach Scarabs: The Order of the Djinn, which Jun was part of, sent someone to research 'Xoph'(one of the Breachlords) and artefacts related to him. That researcher apparently died to hide what he had learned, saying "The world must never know". However "The High Templar(Venarius) has seen the truth of our situation, and the world will be undone by his fear." In Scourge League, Alva 2.0 informs us that Venarius defeated the Scourge in one timeline, which would be the result of his mass mind-control of humanity for expressly that purpose, to defeat the coming Scourge. This appears to link Breach and Scourge as related, and lending some credence to that, besides being classified as demons, would be the common thread of Corruption between Breach Rings and the Scourge's Tainted currencies. A corruption that, in our world, seems to originate from the Beast. In Sanctum League(post Scourge League), Divinia tells us that the Templars were secretive about the Scourge, only mentioned in forbidden texts. Her dialogue options inform us that perhaps in this version of history Alva 2.0 apparated in front of Templars instead of the player, was jailed, raved about the Scourge, then shifted out again possibly being the source of the Templars' discovery of the Scourge. 'Lycia, Herald of the Scourge' has acquired immortality(Which Doryani was seeking) as a result of serving a Demon Lord, becoming a demon herself, and siphons some kind of energy (Resolve? Inspiration? ..."Virtue"?) from 'visitors' to the Sanctum in furtherance of tearing open the veil for the demons to come in. Interestingly though... her demon form is unlike any other demons. Pale, corrupted flesh like the pale demon Beidat whom she serves, but not his fleshy, bony claw-like wings. Feathered wings, a feathered staff, and a black hood shrouding glowing eyes. Now let's talk about everyone's favorite league. Kalandra. Kalandra League brought us Kalandra herself, a feathery, winged, black hooded harpy-like figure with glowing eyes. Her etchings reveal that she perhaps had an encounter with Sin, long ago. I could find no source that would corroborate this, but the wiki implies his meeting with Kalandra may have produced the "Dark Ember" his seed of corruption that became the Beast. The Beast which seems to produce Demons with its corruption. Her encounter with Sin seemed to make her consider the "problem of image". She may have had an appearance in line with the Beast and its corruption, and somehow changed herself to be more appealing to visitors. Might be reaching though. Another etching echoes the old Breach scarab text implying that the Order of the Djinn discovered her, promised to free her, but on "understanding the truth of this place" they tried to erase her from record and burned themselves alive to bury the secret. A secret that Venarius discovered perhaps? After their rejection she vows to escape that realm, no matter the cost. Bide her time, because "one will find their way to her and set the proper events in motion..." =============== The TLDR; of the TLDR; So, my breakdown of this is perhaps Kalandra is the source of all corruption, producing the seed that became the Beast for Sin. The Gods all went to sleep, and avenues to ascend and obtain immortality were cut off. The Vaal attempted to obtain immortality, and in doing so may have nearly unleashed pure corruption on the world, an event thwarted by the direct involvement of Chaos, who is able to see all timelines(GGG). The player is referred to as an 'agent of chaos' (no caps) by the Delirium NPC after clearing the Simulacrum, but since it's not capitalized it's not likely to be referencing Chaos himself. Chaos apparently views the player as a fellow multidimensional entity that keeps resetting back to the beach(lol). I do however think that, given PoE 2's story, we may be travelling back in time with Alva and being a little uhh... "Agent of Chaos", having a hand in foiling the Vaal's attempt to reach immortality. Possibly involving ourselves and Chaos in the creation of the Blood Crucible with the then-still-existing Vaal to stop the Scourge in the distant future, unleashed as a result of Oriana's machinations. Perhaps the one Kalandra was waiting for was Lycia whom she may have granted a similar form, but given Oriana has a new Seed of Corruption she may have bargained with Kalandra much like Sin would have if she is indeed the creator of the Seed. I'm not sure though, as the Hooded One claims that Oriana "stole" the seed. I'm thinking the acts will be something like [Count] [Chasing Seed] [Looking for help in the past] [????] [????] [Nightmare] > Maps (This world is an illusion, Exile) I could just be throwing spaghetti at the wall though.
There was a previous interview where Jonathan was saying that you get rewarded for taking your time going through the campaign and checking every nook and cranny, which could lead to special boss fights and item drops. Do people just blast the campaign to get to the endgame faster, ignoring all that?
I think the blood crystals/"gems" you will socket into your gear will be like gems from wow. Maybe an affix or two and then just socket them in just like jewels maybe.
I think the acts will stay at 3 throughout the early access, just like Baldur's Gate did, they had only act one out of three in early access, and released other 2 acts with full release.
18:00 since it would be only 1 mana flask and 1 life, they could make them now rare as well as keeping the unique tier too, all mods could work while active and while not active
I'm only a couple minutes in, and since this is November 7th, I'm getting the feeling that this article was suppose to launch in tandem with the GGG live... I'm almost not even sure I want to watch this video knowing its starting to sound like a retelling of the GGG live that hasn't happened yet. But, it's also likely I wouldn't be able to avoid these spoilers for the next 3 weeks regardless.
corruption will be slots for Jewels. the jewels sockets have disapeared on the tree, I am sure it will be socket on the corrupted item to socket jewels for expend stats on the gear, seems logic.
Is there any info on what's the plan for the release of the full game? I'm hyped about the early access but... I feel like if I play, I'll want more. I don't want to just have to pause and that's it, wait for months until launch.
i rly wish they would make loot interesting,in poe1 i always felt weird that killing bosses almost never drops cool items, meanwile in games like grim dawn, even rando unique mobs have special drops that alter your class and are build defining, and you dont have to play 2000 hours to get em like in poe
i don't expect the last 3 acts until full release. Skipping that much progression means they'll have to do something to bridge the power gap to maps. They'd need to re-balance that after each act is added; which would be a lot of extra work. I'm disappointed, but expect that they'll just be feeding classes, ascendencies, and end game mechanics to us.
I actually never minded piano flasks. They last long enough that it isn't a big deal. What I do dislike is that they are so OP and required that playing a build without 100% uptime feels awful, eg most non-pathfinder builds while bossing.
I ´ve seen too much comments about « piano flasks » but fr, did you guys play the same game i play ? Instilling orbs ? Hello ? « Use when charge reach full » ? No hate on you tho, juste scrolling and decide to finally reply
Thanks for the news Tri. Had a question no one seems to know the answer yet. Do we know if early access will be for playstation as well as steam or just steam
great video dude! im interested to see how this flask system rework will go since i do find it one of the most tedious things in poe1 and just auto them all, cant wait for poe 2 !
I figured that huntress won’t be available. I commented a while back on your hot takes post that I was extremely concerned about the huntress because it has the least coverage among the new classes with the exception of a couple of minutes showing some skills and that it might feel very underwhelming, but perhaps they’re taking their time to really make it feel good to use.
I appreciate this man's passion for this game! Question though.. as a fairly new POE player. Although I did play POE1 for a while. But do we know how long early access lasts for? Like how long we have to wait to get the rest of the game
So if you are only getting 6 of the 12, who from the original exiles are being delayed.(Excluding scion.) Marauder, witch, sorceress, monk, mercenary, and ranger? I don't remember anything about the duelist and the Shadow.
PoE community - "50 hour campaign, man I'm not doing that every league 🤬🤬🤬" Also PoE community - "Seriously, PoE1 league was delayed for a 5 hour demo?!?!? 🤬🤬🤬" Must feel like working at a kindergarten being a GGG dev, so many crying children.
20:00 ggg would fix this problem creating bard class, specialize it in auras and spirit reservation efficieny and also 5 ascendacies each after poe2 leaves EA would be insane
Hopefully the "slowing down" part of PoE2 fixes my #1 issue issue with PoE1: endgame character growth makes the character less and less fun to play as they become little more than an idle game with extra steps

Just my honest impressions (unfounded) for PoE2 : the fact that most PoE1 micro-transactions will be transferred over to PoE2 does not bode well in my view. I was not a fan of the economy in-game and of the store, BUT I will try the final release of PoE2 as they may make enough changes and I might like the adventure. If there are less in-game "currencies" and if the store allows us to customize our characters at reasonable prices, it will probably get my thumbs up.
I've been in a video game funk for such a long time. This game will be my resurrection. Let's go, boys! Glad to hear there may be some bloat reset/removal.
Any news on when the supporter pack will go on sale? I'm planning on playing this on my PS5 so do you think the supporter pack will be available to buy in the ps store?
I played the beta for a week and though I obviously cannot and will not talk about it, I can say that I could have played it for a solid month without ever getting bored. So much content. I am super pumped about EA. GGG always delivers!
Not a PoE veteran but I'm curious if someone can explain whether there will be endgame activities after completing the 3 acts expected in the initial EA release. Maybe this is an unknown. Thanks in advance.
Everything looks better than any other game already. If they continue to work on it, and make dope seasons, which I know they will, I’ll spend lots of money. What a sick game.
I feel like there's a headache brewing with the whole Lootfilter thing. As long as lootfilters are possible and supported, they WILL be meta. If GGG truly want to shy away from having people use lootfilters by optimizing the way items drop, then wouldn't the most logical choice be to just not support it? maybe im old fashioned idk, but on the other hand, more options are often better.
Not exactly excited about the slowdown which players always predicted but was countered with oh no it will be faster later... Yeah it's nice to be deliberate and player-skill-based for the campaign but at some point you'll want to streamline farm and not kite around some trash mob for long seconds. Had that in D3 endgame rifts and also the whole of D4 (every mob too tanky). I don't want the entire endgame to be rolling out of red-indicated danger zones and waiting for cooldowns.
Man i cant decide what class to start out with at all, they all seem cool :D I do have nerve damage in my left hand and while i can probably deal with the wasd movement, having to juggle flasks and things might be bit of a pain, i wonder if i'd be better off with a witch in my case since i can only bind so much to my mouse comfortably...
There is no way on earth, we are not using filters at endgame. So unless they want to kill poe2 - neversink filter blade will be mandatory to play, just like in poe1!
I'm not thrilled by the idea of having to combo different skills. It always falls one of two ways - underwhelming, or so strong that you HAVE to do it.
Amd some of us like the opposite, where we want skills to work together so its not devolving into spam 3 buttons over and over. I want to think about what the right follow up should be at a moments notice depending whats happening around me. Not spam and pray my build carries. I want player agency and skill to also matter, not just "got good gear"
Please give us Act 4 from Diablo 2 or Hell from Diablo 1 as part of the end game. D3/D4 versions of hell are dumb and have very bad looking for fire effects. Omega props if PoE team releases a secret level from Alva where she accidentally transports you to the cathedral from Diablo 1!!!!
All the worry about the game being too slow is silly to me they're releasing a beta for a reason, they've said multiple times they'll adjust it if the player base doesn't like it
Interesting that people may be worried about the campaign being too long. ARPGs always seem like games trying to please three different groups of people. Casuals who play like 3 hours a week and only really care about the campaign and take months to finish it, middle of the road players that can play multiple times a week and will enjoy both the campaign and end game, and then the mix/max players who practically hate the campaign and want to grind and use their self taught calculus degrees to figure out every damage multiplier and weird skill interactions to see if they can break the game lol. I'm not saying this is a bad thing, it's just something that developers have to contend with. If seasonal characters weren't a thing people could spend a year going through the campaign and all the side quests before digging into the end game. Seasons make us rush through everything in 3 months... I think if you're going to have seasons a more "open world" of exploration and a general theme is good, but not a linear campaign that you have to go through. MMO's do it and I don't feel like an ARPG HAS to have a campaign. They become useless after you do them once or twice, it feels weird to have to go through the same linear story line unless it's as beefy as BG3, which most ARPGs are not going to do. Once you do the campaign once, maybe twice, most people just want to skip it. I sit in two camps, a long in depth campaign that teaches me about all the mechanics of the game and is a good story line but I can skip it after I do it, OR just no campaign at all and a general theme to the world like some big ongoing conflict or whatever with open world exploration where I can just focus on leveling, doing side quests, and exploring like an MMO but with ARPG combat, gear grinding, and min/maxing builds.
While I admittedly don't spend all that much time reading complaining about PoE on Reddit, but really, HAS there been a lot of people upset about the delay for PoE 2? I feel like when I have heard people upset about the delays, they have mostly not been referring to the 3 week delay of PoE 2 but the resultant 3 MONTH delay of what SHOULD have been the PoE 1 league launch in the absence of PoE 2.

The fastest a game gets the less engaging it ends up to be, because it ends up being kill before get killed, so dont pray for fast builds :p
My experience in d4 was doing 0 damage without cooldowns. So I literally afk'ed a corner else 15 shots white mobs with a basic attack. Id rather tab out and come back when ult was up. :/
@@mike-8381 what
I absolutely love the speed of PoE 1. It's an adrenaline rush. No other ARPG plays like that or is even capable of playing like that. However.... I completely agree with anyone who hates one shot mechanics and I'll trade some speed for a little less one shot BS.
@@JayBigDadyCy I feel the rush too but its plain build/itemization. Then you can play with closed eyes loses the interest fast for me... :/

Love the part about the flasks. Never enjoyed spamming those things. Did nothing for me.
Great videos, mate! Thank you!
Let me guess… console player??
Who would like the fact they’re taking away the amazing flask system
Dumb a**
most of the PoE1 flask system should have been automating those flasks (not via keybinds but using triggers). I'm not sure why everyone is complaining about spamming flasks.
@@xmarine73 cause they never made out of act 3
What about those of us who don't want PoE 2 and dodge rolls just the game we've been playing for 11 years?

Do not swear please:D
What a hill to fall from. Don't do a Big Ducks on us. Haha😂😂😂😂 just joking. No lynching needed😂😂😂
So is this a declaration that Tri told GGG to delay it? Tri is responsible?

They can just Tri and delay it again... we will not stand for this!
We will sit and patiently wait like civilised people... we are not the Vaal!
We are SO lucky to have you covering all of this. MUCH thanks to you and all of yourfmaily for allowing you time to do this for us
5am wakeups worth it
The flask change sounds like they took to heart what some suggested and went for the elden ring style life flask mana flask. Active flasks was a lot on top of the multiple skills so having trinkets seems like an ideal choice
50% of poe 2 is bigger then diablo 4 + expansion
Bigger than d4 is not a big compliment tbh
the shit I could take in my garden right now would be bigger than d4+expansion
50% of a functional game is better than 100% of a broken one. I'd rather play the half that functions with minimal/ no bugs. We farmed Dominus in act 3 all those years ago, I see no reason not to do something similar. Shit, just them telling us beforehand and being transparent is enough for me to not rage for any reason.
Any company that respects my time, is worth supporting.
And a million times slower and uglier.

No mandatory filter spunds good. But i hope they add something like last epochs filter system. So you can set it up in game.
It's the same filter system. Neversink has already begun programming the base filters for it and should have them available for EA.
@@Take_The_Ride Last Epoch lets you build the filters ingame. PoE really needs that
the built in system is welcomed but being able to customize your filter til the cows come home even with sounds is way too fun not to have so i hope that option stays.
I hated the last epoch ingame filter system, it was so clunky and slow to make a filter with that. I much prefer a well crafted 3rd party tool like filtration, it's a lot quicker and less restrictive than any ingame system could reasonably be.
The only problem is items do not drop identified. The filter wouldn't work the same. You would just be filtering bases.
Maaaaaan. I was seriously thinking Huntress for my first PoE2 character, too. Oh well.

Corruption hopefully is like PD2 - you either gets gem sockets, a corrupted modifier or brick it. I don’t think it’s just sockets or brick.
As a controller player on PC, this is a GREAT change!

I hope the new trinket system is good. Conditionary and triggered buffs sounds nice without having to manage flasks or enchant flasks.
Decreasing button bloat is good.
I've probably missed some information about poe2's launch. Will it have endgame content on launch?
Yes, what that will be we dont know.
Damn been looking forward to this game for some time, thanks for the continuous updates bro, appreciated
If in today's gaming we have to explain why are there starting classes, despite the fact how that same cluster of mechanics being on one of GOTY titles exists, then I don't know what to tell you.
imagine freezing enemes with the crossbow and then switch to a Staff for the explosion
Great video summarising the article. I do wonder about the 9-10 hours per act, especially when we look at the Act 1 playthroughs on UA-cam. Might be more accurate to put it at 3-4 hours per act for PoE 1 players. Hope I'm wrong though😅
Now this is the teaser I was waiting for!
**Pulls out red string and thumbtacks**
I was going to post a giant wall of relevant lore and dialogue from the wiki but I'll try and reduce this into a TLDR;
-VVVVV-
This needs a little background, but it's hard to keep things in order since a lot of things seem interconnected.
However "The High Templar(Venarius) has seen the truth of our situation, and the world will be undone by his fear."
In Scourge League, Alva 2.0 informs us that Venarius defeated the Scourge in one timeline, which would be the result of his mass mind-control of humanity for expressly that purpose, to defeat the coming Scourge.
Bide her time, because "one will find their way to her and set the proper events in motion..."
===============
The TLDR; of the TLDR;
So, my breakdown of this is perhaps Kalandra is the source of all corruption, producing the seed that became the Beast for Sin.
I'm thinking the acts will be something like [Count] [Chasing Seed] [Looking for help in the past] [????] [????] [Nightmare] > Maps (This world is an illusion, Exile)
I could just be throwing spaghetti at the wall though.
Thank you for providing so many updates on PoE 2!
Hey Talkative Tri, I like your videos and the infomation you provide. Have a look at your camera settins/colour grading thanks!
I have no honest idea what to do.
How will the (monster / expected player) level scaling from Act 3 to endgame working?
Will that change once we have Act 6?
I hope some of the unique flasks come back as trinkets then - taste of hate, wise oak, dying sun, etc.
I think the article sounds like we'll only get acts 1-3 and 4-6 will be saved for the full launch
great video dude! im interested to see how this flask system rework will go since i do find it one of the most tedious things in poe1 and just auto them all, cant wait for poe 2 !
Not wanting mindless melt builds sounds like the end of RF. Unfortunate.
PoE community - "50 hour campaign, man I'm not doing that every league 🤬🤬🤬"
Also PoE community - "Seriously, PoE1 league was delayed for a 5 hour demo?!?!? 🤬🤬🤬"
Must feel like working at a kindergarten being a GGG dev, so many crying children.
15:00 he did NOT say that endgame is the same speed as the act gameplay we have seen. Just that the trend of it being slowed down continues
I’ve tried Poe a few times but I could never get super into it. But I am beyond geeked for Poe2!! Day one purchase for me
I'll be honest here, with me playing other games, my hype for poe2 kinda died.
But now... DAYUM I'M HYPED AF!
Great video as always!
20:00 ggg would fix this problem creating bard class, specialize it in auras and spirit reservation efficieny and also 5 ascendacies each after poe2 leaves EA would be insane
What if its jewel for the corruption slots, since they arent on the tree anymore?
Hopefully the "slowing down" part of PoE2 fixes my #1 issue issue with PoE1: endgame character growth makes the character less and less fun to play as they become little more than an idle game with extra steps
This is the water And this is the well. Drink full and descend. The horse is the white of the eyes and dark within. - Twin Peaks S03E08. Who is the fan? John or the writer?
Early access is happening on all platforms at the same time, so yes, it'll be available on PS.
15:00 Thank fcn god. (WE don't really need Elden Ring level of slow, a more decent pace is a must, but POE1 is absurd in late game...)
I played the beta for a week and though I obviously cannot and will not talk about it, I can say that I could have played it for a solid month without ever getting bored. So much content. I am super pumped about EA. GGG always delivers!
Are druidforms from ascendance or skillgems ?
Not a PoE veteran but I'm curious if someone can explain whether there will be endgame activities after completing the 3 acts expected in the initial EA release. Maybe this is an unknown. Thanks in advance.
There will be. We don't know what yet.
@TalkativeTri thank you, sir! sub'd!
I usually only play one character per league, and I don't suspect that will change if each act takes 10 hours omg.
Ayyyy you finally found your hair cut lol. congrats dude, looks good
There is no way on earth, we are not using filters at endgame.
What are the 6 classes at the beginning ?? sory if i didnt get that
I have a feeling the gear gem-socketing system will act like jewel sockets on the poe1 skill tree.
does the season reset and you start over like 1st one?
The only thing I want to know is how much I'm spending to play EA. Please GGG
Also about damage increase > zoomzoom is AMAZING. Thank you for stopping that trend GGG!!!!!
Just randomly come across King Leoric in his prime or Archbishop Lazurus. That would be insane :)
All the worry about the game being too slow is silly to me they're releasing a beta for a reason, they've said multiple times they'll adjust it if the player base doesn't like it
oh no, my fears are coming true, the game is gonna be negative movespeed _eyeroll_
It is time to for the Talkative Tri POE Lore series.
The news I need! I can(not) sleep well tonight. Thanks Tri haha
When does the full game release?
Yesterday, you missed it
No one knows. Hopefully, the full game will be out in 2025. But I'm sure that they will only release it when it's 100% ready. Let them finish it.
Will witch be an available class? if you reply, thanks

These changes are INSANE, everything I wanted!
Thank you for your work man, really really good video 🎉🎉🎉
I hope this make D4 better and I'll have two of my favorite games to play.
Templar-side of the tree now doesn't have a representative on beta with the druid out, understandable but very sadge.
