    We're entering the smother era, thank you mr Gordon Ryan.

      Not necessarily, a lot of people have been doing it ( my self included). But because of Gordon’s popularity he makes it wide spread. My favorite sequence body lock pass to side control to mount obtaining double unders to double head and arm to s- mount -> armbar or arm triangle choke to gift wrap -> chair sit back take.

      @@hermanmelville3871 yeah same here these kids are so fortunate to have all this free content. Honestly didn’t start playing mount positions til purple belt lol blue belt was nothing but leg entanglements over and over, purple belt was all top game, now as brown I combine my leg attacks\entires to get top position (mount) and using mount to enter the legs. What’s your favorite sequence?

    • @nile7999
      @nile7999 Рік тому +8

      Leglocks only dominated because they're easy to enter into and the brazilians were too prideful to train it, and learn the defenses. Now that they're more popular and people know how to defend, the game evolves again.

      @unknownspectre Рік тому +9

      The leg lock era, regardless of how they were trained or attained (guard pull, butt scoot) took a very underutilized part of the game to a new level, and we're all more well rounded thanks to that

    Grout was just giving him his arms to get smothered. Bump, get on your side, elbow knee escape, or at least try, you won't get smothered because you are on your side with space to breath. My coach has been doing this to us for years. Calls it Mother's Milk.
