If you have small pension, say 1500 USD per month and enough saved to buy and own your own apartment or house in the DR you can live comfortably in the Dominican Republic wouldn't you agree?
You won't have a luxurious lifestyle, but it's enough to live comfortably. With that income you would be around the 80th-90th percentile income on D.R.
Michael Christopher Gutierrez you can find a good apartment for about 150-200 USD a month electric and gas is cheap eating local foods or you can hire a maid for about 100 USD a month your money will strech
Is possible, you can live an ok life with that amount , if its for a single person I would agree, won't work for a family thou, sorry for being late, I just saw the comment :) blessings
I like your video and I have been trying to move to DR since 1993. I do speak fluent Spanish and Dominican Spanish. I love DR but like you said there are really no jobs that pay what Americans are accustomed too. But one never knows maybe one day. lol.
This is the first thing most people want to secure before moving anywhere. Thank you for sharing your insight on moving to DR. I personally would need to the school system there and cost of doctors visit for my kids. They’re school age and one with special needs.
Hi I am about to make to plunge and just dont know where to start as far as knowing what exsactly of a job I can do in the DR I am fluent in english and spanish. anyone have any suggestions? Nice video keep them coming
I don't think it easy for job in dominican republic, cuz I only have my passport, they always ask for dominican republic ID , maybe cuz I'm Haitian, I don't think they really like haitian there. But it's a beautiful country , it's better than haiti no matter what, , some dominicain act racist over haitian sometimes. Some of them are very cool and relax..
how and where could you get a letter of guarantor to claim you if you know no one in DR? I was told I could go through a lawyer but I'm in the us. do I reach out to a law firm in DR to do all the work of translation and such?
Hi, really enjoy your videos. Random question: is it possible to rent your residence and do Airbnb from that rented residence? did you know anyone doing it? even if you gave a kick back to the building manager or owner, do you think it would be do-able? thanks!
I really enjoyed your video. My question is are you fluent in Spanish? If so, how long did it take you to learn? Did you have to immerse yourself in the language? I have a friend who lives in Santo Domingo and she says that she wants to learn to speak English but she is poor. How can she learn to speak English on the cheap? Any reply is welcomed. Thanks for reading my text.
Hello, i currently work here in the US and I am looking to move down there and also work and possibly start a business. My major is in Business so please help me if you have any direction towards an opportunity.

absolutly, in fact, if you have enough for an appartment, with 1500 usd per month you would be considered by most here as a wealthy person.
Yes i have a large 4 bedroom in Santiago i pay 6000 pesos which is under 200 per month
