Slow-witted Forrest Gump (Tom Hanks) has never thought of himself as disadvantaged, and thanks to his supportive mother (Sally Field), he leads anything but a restricted life. Whether dominating on the gridiron as a college football star, fighting in Vietnam or captaining a shrimp boat, Forrest inspires people with his childlike optimism. But one person Forrest cares about most may be the most difficult to save -- his childhood love, the sweet but troubled Jenny (Robin Wright).

"I wanna go home" - probably what every soldier said at some point in his life.
Your about right when I was in I heard someone say they wanted to go home every week
Even those of us that lived said it at least once. But we always kept each other close. Closer than actual family. You can absolutely hate someone in the civilian world but when it comes to war it’s a love hate relationship at it’s finest.
@@Boris19389yep. The sad ones where your brother that just found out his ole lady was cheating. I completely came to terms with that before it ever happened. Told myself, it’s gonna happen so don’t be surprised when it does and just be happy you won’t be sending home that money anymore. I got lucky and I had a good military wife. Things fell apart soon after me getting home though on account of my stubbornness and not realizing I was fd up.
Innocent Vietnam people also death respect for them
Not just every soldier.
Every human who has known a place of love and safety, but had been removed from it, has said it.
The way he says "oh Bubba no" breaks my heart.
Man why they do my man Bubba like that I was crying for an hour
Me too man…me too……
@@jacketandbeard8732He just wanted a shrimp boat man 😢
Even tho It’s just a fictional movie it brought tears to my eyes probably cause I thought about forest and bubba as every soldier. No one should have or have had to go through this.
I don’t think I’ll ever not cry to this
This has to be the saddest death in the whole movie. It’s even sadder than Jenny’s death.
Never leave a man behind
Ernest P. Worrell used to say "Stick by your buddy. Know what I mean?"
That's a true friend
0:21 Bubba knowing he's dying still giving his buddy hope "Now I'll be alright."
Forrest Gump is the best movie ever, it taught the people many things, there is a lesson for almost everything. It should be a must-see movie in school. For me his friendship with Bubba taught that you shouldn't see with your eyes, but with other feelings. Bubba wasn't a good black man and Forrest wasn't a good white man, they were good people. Somewhy skin color matters everytime, nowadays as well, but it shouldn't be, but who we are in the inside. The soul. That's all that matters. It's not coming from the race who are your brothers and sisters, but it's some kind of soulbond. There are good and bad people, and the good ones are your fellas, your friends. And you should see that.
Hey, im writting a school report on this movie mind if i borrow these crucial points? if so, thanks it really helps.
@@mr.bailtree3180 yeah, sure, thank you
Only you 'Mericans pay so much attention to this race thing.
Shame they don't make such movies anymore. Born on the Forth of July with Cruise was also another Brilliant movie. These movies in the 90's and early 2000's even music was full of life and meaning. Now nothing but crap!
If America apologised for Slavery and paid reparations, then I will fall for your sentiment. You cannot have oneness when the repair is not done. America has choosen the Hard way and have refused to Repent and Repair the greastest Evil to have happend on this planet since it was created or it banged from no where. They will Atone for this, The Most HIgh says, Those who lead in Capitivity will also be lead into Captivity. There is forgivenss and wiping away of sins, but first you must repent. America will never be right With The Most High, until They repent and Repair this great injustice to teh Black man. So they will Atone for it and pay for all of their sins! IT is not that black and white!
“why this happen"
Actually govt using them
great writing, great acting, great story, great lessons throughout this awesome movie.
I always like in the last scene when before Jenny dies Gump reveals who was afraid in Vietnam. This shows he was aware he could die.
Even the stupidest person knows one day he'll die, he just doesn't show it openly. Death is something that is just naturally wired into our brains regardless of how it's wired.
this almost made me cry when he said 2 forrest i wanna go home
I love this movie it's amazing and this scene always gets me 😢😢
I would break down crying if i lost my best friend because even though were not related i view him as my brother. Thank you Forrest for saving and bringing Bubba home.
I loved Bubba 💔
I love the actor that played him. I’m glad to see him still in shows and movies. 🙂
It's wild to imagine if Dave Chappelle didn't turn down the role of Bubba (which he viewed as demeaning); to be fair, Mykelti Williamson's career didn't exactly blow up because of this movie.
Had no idea Chapelle was offered the part. But glad he didn't take it, because Chapelle isn't a dramatic actor, and whoever played Bubba, even though his career may not have taken off, he is an endearing and important character in one of the best films ever made.
Damn that sucks. He played this role amazingly well. Bubba's probably like one of the top 3 things that come to mind when you think of Forest Gump
The one movie scene that makes me weep uncontrollably
When Forrest realizes Bubba is in fact going to die, but he can barely hold back his tears. 🥺💔
This is one of the few movies I’m glad they distanced themselves from the book.
1:41 2024 be like
that was the same thing with poe on con-air, the same actor that played bubba. No man left behind 💯
Yu gawt shawt
give em haldol guys
He was so limp in his arm
x: I got stung...why is they vaping??
Jenny: Forrest you don't know what love is.
Me:🙄🙄🙄
😂😂😂😂😂
Leon save him
Gyvens
They use CyberShaktii or cloaking and other siddha.
Disclaimer: I stole this comment from another video with the same clip.
“Bubba was supposed to be a shrimping boat captain or sumthin… but instead he died right there on that river in Vietnam”
All wars are sad… no matter what country you are from. Any one that died had the potential to be whatever they wanted to be in life…to be a lawyer, doctor… or have a wife and children. It’s sad on both sides of the conflict
I think of that comment all the time .
To think Bubba couldve been Dave Chappelle.
Still a better love story than twllight
Don't be rash
@@jamesnash9759 calling twillight a love story is like describing having a hemorrhoid as relaxing
@staringcorgi6475 Better love story than Forrest and Jenny.

I hate when the black guy dies in a movie
Same - as if they haven’t already gone through enough
Bro hates movies
