I have been watching TV in my laptop for years because I just don`t want a TV being the center of my living room. This TV is for that reason so perfect for me! It blends with the decor and it is surely better quality than watching movies on my laptop :´D Thanks for the review!

I just bought the 32” Frame TV for my kitchen TV and was comparing it to the Q50R which is 4K and about $100 cheaper. But this is one instance where I chose form over function. I think the One Connect box and no gap mount will make for a less intrusive install in the kitchen making it look less out of place. Design definitely played a role n my decision.. Nice review.

We got the 65” for our living room and love it. I really hope the 2022 variation has 120hz. I’ll def buy a 43” if it does.
But if it doesn’t, LG’s C2 is rumored to come in a 42/43” version that should fit the bill.

Very honest and great review. I have some questions regarding this tv, It would be great if you can guide me. My question No.1 is How is this tv for watching movies or other entertainment stuff? No.2 This dose not have a shiny scree so dose it make the difference compared to regular selling tv’s ? No3 43 & 50 dose not have the 120hrtz refresh rate, 55 above all has a 120hartz dose it make a difference because I just buying tv to watch the movies/music concert, I Don’t play games but I wish to play games in future? Question, does this TV experience the loss of internet connection after it’s been off for a while? My current Samsung TV, and all the previous TVs i’ve owned always disconnect from the internet once turned back on and I have to do a hard reset by holding down the power button until the Tizen logo is displayed. That’s kind of a deal breaker but I’m willing to still purchase it just because of how aesthetically pleasing it looks.

I havent had any issues with the Frame regarding internet connection. Its rock solid, never disconnects or buffers while i stream something. But, i am connected via Ethernet cable and not Wlan. I guess your Smart TV is connected wirelessly?
@@LICHTCATCHINGTOBY Ok that explains it. All my TVs are always connected via WiFi because i don’t have my router or a connection near the TV. Like i said, i’m willing to deal with the problem if this model still experiences it, just a small annoyance. lol

Great video! Is this a good choice for a next gen console tv in 2021? Will it be able to run games at 4K 120fps? Also is there a better tv in the market at the same price point now that we’re in June of 21?
Yes it will be able to run games at 4k@120fps. Thanks to the low input lag, the QLED TVs are really good in terms of gaming. The Frame 2021 version is basically the same as this, but you could take a look at the other 2021 models from Samsung as well.
Otherwise, you could take a look at the B-Series of LG, as OLED also offers a great gaming experience. Just make your that the TV offers a HDMI 2.1 port.

To put this thing in a Living Room, do you think the Frame TV worth the Price for Aesthethic purpose (with average image quality) or should i consider the Samsung Q90T or other TV (with Bulky design but with better image quality)?
Personally i dont really watch TV that often (maybe gaming once i have PS5) and i really like the idea of Frame TV as decoration, but still it is an investment for entertainment in my house so what do you think?
Thats really hard to say, and i cant really decide that for you.
How many hours would you use the TV for on average? How much is image quality worth it for you? Is most of the content you watch gonna be 4K / HDR content?
It just really depends on the factors. If you only use your TV a few hours each week, then a sleek design, when the TV is off, could be worth quite a lot. But if you want the best possible movie watching experience when you use it, then you need to get a different TV.
If possible, just check them out in a store. Most of the time they all play the same samsung promotion videos anyway, so maybe you could compare the Q90T directly to the frame.
For my use case the FrameTV is/was the better decision, and the girlfriend is also really enjoying it.

There is only one thing holding me back at the moment and was wondering if i can have your opinion.
The viewing angles.
VA displays from my knowledge have amazing vertical angle viewing but trashy horizontal ones.
At the moment I have a 15 year old plasma tv from samsung, which honestly has the best picture quality of all displays(apart from oleds and level with q leds maybe).
How bad and obvious are the viewing angles of the frame and could you compare them to a plasma display and other qleds?
Also, i read that the 2021 model apart from being thinner it has better angled display.
Other than that it s annoying that only 55" + have 120hz refresh rate as I intend to use it in a room of 3x3 meters and VA displays dimensions are sensible to viewing distance.

Thanks for your long comment! As I am not a big reviewer, there is pretty much no way for me to compare the Frame to a other TV in the same setup.
I would suggest you to read the rtings review of the new Frame 2021 Model: www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/samsung/the-frame-2021
There they say the following about the viewing angles: "As is expected of most VA panel TVs, the Samsung The Frame TV has sub-par viewing angles. It's better than the Frame 2020, but the image still looks inaccurate when viewed from the side, not ideal for wide seating areas."
So if viewing angles are a big concern for you, then you probably need to get a different model.

Ja, das mit der Status LED ist richtig, das hatte ich im Video vergessen zu erwähnen. Ich hatte dann irgendwie nicht mehr drauf gedacht da mir im Laufe der Zeit diese Kleinigkeit nicht mehr aufgefallen ist.
Ahh I love this TV design so fucking much!!!! I am currently in the market for a 65" TV with a budget around £1300 - £1800. Two problems with this TV is like you mentioned not the best image quality (no full-array local dimming), and a wider problem with samsung ( no dolby vision support). Other than that, I want this TV so so much. Please help me decide :(
Haha, sorry i really cant decide that for you. For that kind of money you also would get the OLED65BX6LB, which would you give a (way) better image quality. Seems like there is also no current Samsung cashback programm in the UK: www.samsung.com/uk/offer/tvs/
So you really need to decide yourself how much the design is worth it to you. And also: The Samsung Frame TV offers a great picture, other TVs are just even better. But you dont really go wrong with any of them at that price point. You also could always wait for some kind of a deal.

Do you need the OneConnect box or can it be plugged in without it. I have outlets for power that would sit behind the TV and only want it for viewing Netflix. Not sure if I would be able to plug it in directly?
Unfortunately you do need the OneConnect Box, the TV itself has no ports other than the cable leading to the box, and that cable also provides the power signal

When all the lights are off in the room and the TV is set to art mode, does it light the room? or does it dim down according to light in the room, eventually turning to a black screen in the pitch black?
It doest get completely dark/black, its still lights the room a little bit. But you always can set it to auto turn off if now movement is registered

Its really hard to suggest TVs, as the prices could be quite different depending where you live. You could check out the the LG LG 55B9, or overall their B-Series Oled TVs. You also could check out the Sony KD-55XH9299.
Or, if you dont care that much about the Design of the frame, just a different 4K QLED from Samsung. There are just so many options overall, and pretty much all of them are really good.

@@jiteshjadam2267 It really depends, Burn-in is not that much of an issue anymore. If you would watch content like that for everyday for many hours, than it probably would be in issue. Great review, thanks a lot for that. I'm almost ready to buy this. The one issue holding me off is that I read a lot about problems with the software.
- problems with motion sensor
- problems with uploading your own pictures (I read that you can only upload like 6 pictures)
- also in the past there were problems were movie trailers, etc. would suddenly play instead of displaying the artworks, which would completely ruin it in my opinion

Motion Sensor: Since the last update the motion sensor seems to work quite good now, before it was more hit and miss (the update had a change log about improving the motion sensor). The motion sensor is just not that sensitive. So for example a cat going through the room wont activate the TV, but a Person walking by will.
Uploading Pictures: I havent had any issues so far, always worked flawlessly. I will later try out how many pictures i can upload for you.
Weird playback issue: I have never encountered that one, the TV also goes straight to art mode when i want the TV to do so

Sorry for my late reply. I just tested Artmode regarding the picture quantity. I looked the free storage of my Frame, which was about 713 MB left, and then uploaded ten 4K Images (totaling to 37 MB). After uploading the TV did what i expected, the available storage was 37MB smaller. So i could easily have another 200 Pictures on my TV (i also didnt compress my pictures that much, so it would be easily possible to add 300 or even more)
Still, i dont understand why SAmsung just woudlnt put 8 or even 16Gb of storage in that thing.

How about the upscaling of the tv content like SD to 4K upscaling I would like to hear that from your. In this they are using quantum 4x HDR upscaling and how different from the normal samsung 4K led tv upscaling

Hi! Thanks for this video! I have a 2022 55“ The Frame and whenever I connect it to my PS4 there is a soft horizontal line on the screen - not sure if it’s maybe banding. The shop told me that this is normal due to the backlighting, but I am not so sure. Have you had experience with this? I see the line whenever I connect the PS4, even in the picture test mode in the Samsung settings. Maybe you have an answer for that or had similar experience. Have a nice day!😊👋

do you have to have the 'one connect' box? This tv eliminates the need for a table, YET, you still have this one connect box (that goes in a table/ case below) - Im assuming a DVD player etc plugs into that, which means the ONLY true USP of this product, is that it looks like a picture hanging on the wall ..that still has be using power to keep a picture up there. Hmm, I can't work this all out ..this and a Serif seem like >maybe< good ideas for a living room that one is trying not to clutter due to a lack of space. What is the cost of the clip on frame bits that you have ? < Im guessing it doesn't look like a proper decent frame without them. The screen presumably comes with numbers that you select (like for BBC1, then to Film 4/ channel 14), as there are no numbers on the remote ?

Do you mean that multiple pictures are displayed on the same time or just one by one? A normal slideshow function is available, so you see one picture after another.

Have you had any issues with the 120hz mode for gaming? Some people were saying as late Dec 2020 it was still problematic with screen blanking or flickering.
120Hz mode works, as long as its not HDR on the same time. But both together should work soon too: www.techradar.com/news/ps5s-hdr-problem-on-samsung-tvs-is-finally-being-fixed-but-not-until-march

Hey bro, great review. I know you've been asked this many times but I have the same problem running 4K 120hz with my ps5. I turned off the Hdr and it stills keep saying that the current resolutions is running at 60hz. Any suggestion what it could be? Or does the ps5 system just says 60 hz at the video output information and when you play a game that's supports 120hz it changes? I'm really confused, sorry I am still learning about resolutions and refresh rate. Thank you 🙇🏻♂️

Its, for no good reason, a quite complicate topic currently.
1. Are you connected to the HDMI 2.1 Port of the frame? (Its the HDMI 4 Port)
2. Are you using a HDMI 2.1 cable (the HDMI 2.1 cable that came with the PS5 works just fine)
3. Which games are you playing? The 120Hz mode only kicks in when you are playing a game that supports it, so you wont see a 120Hz Output if you are just in the ps5 menu or in a game which doesnt offer 120Hz mode.
4. You can look up if 4k/120Hz is supported at all in the Video Output information on the ps5. You see that at 4:53 in my video.
5. Some games need you to be in the system performance mode. For exmaple Fortnite need that (but its only 1440p@120Hz anyway). You will find that setting here:
-IGo into Settings (top right of the main screen)
-Then go into Saved Data and Game/App Settings
-Then Game Presets

Soweit ich weiß hat der TV eine VESA 200x200 Halterung (ich glaub ab 65" VESA 400x400), somit könntest du andere Wandhaltungen verwenden. Steht normalerweise eh in den Spezifikationen, hier z.B. vom 2019er Modell: images.samsung.com/is/content/samsung/p5/au/tvs/specs/QA65LS03RAWXXY.pdf

Depends where you live. You could check out the Sony KD-55XH9299 if OLEDs are too expensive around you.

Depending on the area you live in, you could look at the OLED B-Series from LG, that will give you a better image quailty for the price. But the Samsung offers, in my opinion, the way better design.

Well i dont really want to test how durable it is :D I just handelt is quite carefully while doing my cable management. The cable can be disconnected on both ends, so you "only" would need to replace the cable if it would break. But that cable costs quite a lot of money, i just checked and here its about 200€.
So if you are just very careful, then you dont need to worry about it.

Sure you can, but you need to decide if its worth it for you. The low input lag, HDMI 2.1 and the 120Hz refresh rate, and Freesync are really great for gaming, but there are even better TVs out there for that. So the design should also be quite important to you, i would say.

Yes i did, tested it with Fortnite, worked flawlessly. Maybe the guys at Rtings tested that before all the software updates.

Tv is coming this Sunday i have the option for a Sony a8g oled and 65 inch for $1100 but it doesn’t have the latest hdmi and nor is it the frame design. What are your thoughts?
The 2021 is, so far as we know, pretty much the same model. Only the design seems to change a bit (TV will be flatter). But the 2021 model will cost way more at release, so in my opinion, buying the 2020 model for cheap is the way better deal.

The design is also really great, but you need to decide what is most important for you.
