Things I’ve learned from Mr. Ballen, 1. Stay away from the woods 2. Stay away from swamps 3. Don’t go in caves 4. Don’t go scuba diving 5. Don’t go hiking 6.Don’t go scuba diving in caves, the woods or in a swamp while hiking
also 1600 people: the bloodhound just led us on a 12 mile beeline to a swamp and seemed sure that was where the scent ended...dog is just wrong. Little did they know the boy was being spirited away by the fey and was currently traveling through the trees, ending up in clearings every time he wakes up.
About the animals helping him... my dad was a radio operator in the Navy during the Korean War. A part of his job was to communicate when a person was saved from the ocean. He'd take down their story to communicate to headquarters. Many stories involved either whales or dolphins protecting them by interacting with them, helping them stay afloat and saving them from sharks. It doesn't surprise me at all that animals would protect a small child.
dolphins are know to be really intelligent creatures, to the point that they actually realize someone is in danger and, yes, actively try to help them. Not sure if its documented in woodland creatures but it's possible I'd imagine. still wouldn't explain how the boy traveled that distance in such a short time. A true mystery but one with a happy ending at least.
Sea turtles have been known to do that as well. There are several confirmed reports of turtles assisting stranded swimmers and divers, including one in 1974 where a turtle found a shipwrecked woman in the Pacific Ocean. The turtle not only stayed with her for two days, but towed her and helped keep her afloat until she was rescued by the Philippine Navy. The turtle didn't eat the entire time it was with her as they need to dive to find food. Dozens of sailors confirmed that the turtle stayed with her up to the moment she was pulled from the water. It then turned around, swam away and disappeared under the waves. Pretty remarkable.
Cait B: I wondered if those at the family get together who saw the toddler chase the cat into the woods actually thought someone else was watching and keeping up with the toddler. Usually that's the case. And, at the time the toddler was chasing the cat those watching him run off into the woods after the cat didn't think much about it because they subconsciously thought someone else was watching after the toddler.
@@sarahsmeadows390 They wanted to see him get BEATEN by bigfoot, CHASED by dogman and fingered by TROLLS! They are the gatekeepers of the Kryptids so it's their duty to lead unsuspecting visitors to their watery DOOM they get rewarded for it in blood 👍
Dogs' noses, regular, non-blood hound, are never "wrong", they're about, 10,000 times more sensitive than our noses, it's just that in some cases the scent that they're on, can become over-shadowed by another very strong scent(s) in the overall scent, "painting", that is detected by their nose. Bloodhounds, however, are different from other dogs' noses. Because of their own unique genetics and, Humans, doing very selective breeding for well over, 2,500, years, Bloodhounds, have a scenting ability that surpasses us by, 100,000, times ! They have even been known to follow a scent trail as old as, 5, days. Even after, 3-4 days of rain, bloodhounds, have found what they were tracking !! Some people think that they get their name because they, "smell" blood. That's not the case. They got their breed name, because, during the time of the, Romans, only a, "Patrician", a person of, "noble blood", was allowed to own them, that's really the true reason why they are called, Bloodhounds.

"Everyone thought someone else was watching him." LITERALLY. so important to recognize that habit. I'm personally not good with kids but my mom absolutely loves kiddos and whenever I've tagged along to some place with kids, I've been making the conscious decision that, when I go chill in the background, I will watch the kids who stray. When a kid runs off to the side of the yard or behind a tree while everyone else is paying attention to the crowd, I watch for that kid. Makes me feel happy and thankfully nothing bad has happened, but it's something I can do that fits my comfort zone AND really helps.
That’s so awesome! I’m that way with my nieces and nephews. I don’t trust anyone to watch my kids besides my husband, like when I run to the bathroom etc.. I’ve done it a couple times just to come back out and everyone thinks my kids are with someone else. Nope never again.
I’m the same way, I’m the mom in every group I’m in, always. My husband and I have a system where we split the kid responsibilities between us. We talk about it before we leave the car, with the kids. So, if he takes the responsibility of the oldest, we tell her “hey, daddy is responsible for you today, if you need anything or need help or get hurt, look for him if he’s not already there” and I tell my youngest the same thing for me watching him. When we are at pool parties or the beach or literally anywhere, he watches one, I watch the other, we don’t watch the other persons kid so as to avoid that “mob mentality” problem between us, and to avoid us both paying attention to one kid and not the other. This system works BEAUTIFULLY for us, and has actually let us be able to handle a problem before it became bad. Like one wandering too far when we are hiking, if it’s my kid for the day, I walk after them and keep them safe. If we are at a park and a kid is climbing and it’s my husbands kid, he can be right there to catch them if they slip. Swimming with my youngest who hasn’t had lessons yet, I can snatch him up when he loses his footing and he doesn’t accidentally drown himself. Of course, we are always aware of everyone in our family unit and communicate with each other, but we have our assigned roles and responsibilities already clearly talked about before we even exit the car, and that cuts wayyyy down on the chance of an accident happening. However many more kids we have, we will still use this system because it’s so effective
The cows could be moose? I'm from rural NH and moose seem to really like bogs/swamps. Moose are terrifying, they're incredibly large and have creepy long faces. If I was 2 years old I might mislabel them as cows.
@@Doniameche Maybe he was dry because he sat on a moose, and when it started to run through the swamp, he grabed the next available tree. And there he hung till he was found.
Concerning Bud. I was in the US Army 8 years- 11C MOS (mortars/infantry). We had a guy in a platoon I was in. He was a pretender. He was always wanting to slip away from actual soldiering and go play 'Rambo'. Sneak around by himself and see what he could get into. We were in the field once (Hohenfels, Germany), and this was a big Mechanized Unit with Bradleys and 113s all camped out in the Battalion Staging Area before we engaged with the OPFOR. It had snowed and it was about knee deep. This dude told his squad leader he was going for a piss and was gone for hours. Finally, the Platoon Leader gets a call on the radio from Battalion HQ/TOC saying they had this dude over there and that he was 'lost'. Dummy had slipped out of our Platoon A/O and decided he wanted to try to sneak up on the Pogues over at Battalion. And he did... sort of. But he couldn't find his way back in the dark (and on a field exercise, you're in black-out dark conditions), so he was forced to walk into Battalion HQ and basically tell them what a Soup Sandwich he was. LOL, Platoon Leader woke up the Platoon SGT and made him go pick the dude up. They made a detour on the way back and Platoon SGT smoked him beside the tank trail in the snow for a half hour while explaining to him what a f--- up he was. But, anyway... Given this Bud guy was kind of outdoor type and was looking forward to this assignment, it wouldn't surprise me to find out that he simply took it upon himself to walk to the top of that mountain because... it's there. He probably underestimated the distance (hills and mountains are bedevilling when it comes to guessing how far away they are). He probably fell into that crevice and got stuck the same way Jessica McClure fell into that well back in the 80s. You'd never think someone could fall down into such a tight space, but there it is.
Or the other soldiers he was with killed him and shoved him in there. Dumping him in the water runs the risk of him floating and his body coming to shore.
That's what I thought, he fell & wedged into that crevice or he was murdered & stuck there by his mates. Weird they didn't find him in that big search.
Alternative take on Story 3: Bud was SUPER annoying, so the others pulled a like button-esque murder and put him the only place they KNEW no one would find him and lied on the official report.
My grandmother had this journal that was passed down in my family about strange creatures throughout the world. I remember one being the Kelpie. It's now depicted as being a beautiful black horse but originally people described it as being the size of a bull with a huge chest and a long back and legs. With a mane that reached its knees that was thick and slimly like kelp. They lived in streams and bogs and would drown people in the water. Just thought it was creepy that the 2 year old said there was cows in the water. My grandmother would've loved this channel.
i think they're freaky as hell, because it completely rules out easy explanations like predators dragging victims out into the forest. how did a 2 year old cover 12 miles of completely undeveloped swampland in around 24 hours without knowing how to swim, when even a trained survivalist who actually tried to cover the exact same distance in the same location could not do it in the time it took the 2 year old?
@@yawn2274He was probably abducted by a cult that wore animal mask resembling cows, bulls, moose, some animal, or possibly even demon masks. They took him far away for a ritual or killing and placed him there so he couldn’t escape without dying. This explains the distance covered, him calling them cows, him not being wet, and him being left there without injury. They then either left him there to die, or they left to prepare for a killing or ritual before coming back. That seems like the most simple solution which is usually the right one most of the time. Though I guess it could be some paranormal reason too, but I would say that possibility is so low and impossible to prove that it is hard to even try and factor in to the equation. Oh it also seems odd that those specific guys knew exactly where he was and the exact swamp to look miles away from the search area. Maybe they abducted him and got cold feet, so they acted like they rescued him after seeing 1600 people mobilize to find him in a small town.
He might’ve taken a class on hand communications. Politicians are constantly using it to emphasise their points and make you believe them or side with them. It’s a psychology trick to make you feel and think certain things subconsciously
@@jimmythompson8919 he actually mentioned something in one of his early intros about his hand gestures. '...Strange, dark and mysterious in story format with (?) Hand gestures' (can't remember what he called them). I just find them fascinating.
What I think might have happened to Bud: Since it was a clear and mild night, Bud figured he would make most of it and wanted to enjoy the peace and quiet after finishing his patrol. So he started wandering around until he stumbled upon a large boulder. He climbed on top of it and sat down to get a nice view. After a while he decided to go back and jumped off the boulder on the opposite side, right into the crevice. Although it was a clear night, it was still dark out and it may have been dark enough for him to not spot the crevice.
Story 1 and 2 are clearly made by the same kidnapper: Shrek. There is too much proof for the first story, since the kid was chasing after a cat, and was brought to a swamp. The 11 year old kid was also found in a swamp. I should become a detective.
I lost my dog one night tracking a deer. He bolted with his leash still on. I was afraid he might get tangled in the brush and get stuck somewhere on the mountain. I spent from 8pm to 1:30 am finding him. He was still on the move after a wounded deer. I can’t imagine parents sitting in their house saying “well it’s just too dark and cold to look for our missing son outside. Let’s just wait till the morning!” I would be even more frantically searching for him at that point.
My 2 dogs ran away one day and have been gone for like 9 hours. I was going crazy, I drove around all day looking for them and leaving my phone number to people in case they see them. I cant imagine what its like to lose your kid. And I absolutely dont understand hoe you can take a break while theyre still gone. (someone finally called about my dogs and I picked them up) I wouldve driven all night and the next day to find them until I collapsed..
Another guess for the last story: He finished the patrol and decided to do a little exploring. He was climbing around that boulder and then dropped something valuable into the crevice. He thought he could retrieve it himself,’so he leaned in farther and farther to get it, slipped, fell in at an odd angle, perhaps even upside-down so any shouting would be muffled, and found himself severely wedged and stuck.
The phenomenon where the more people are around the less likely any one is to offer help is called the Bystander Effect. This is what's at play when you see videos of people dying in the street and no one helping. *To combat the Bystander Effect* don't call out to the crowd, single someone out. Pick someone, anyone, and call out to them specifically. The people around you aren't heartless, so if you single out individuals instead of asking for volunteers they will help you. This could save your life so remember it!
Yes thank you. All advice for survival is welcome. These little moments can turn into big ones if not handled properly. It is scary to think everyone would just stand around assuming "Someone else has got it handled." >.< But I know it to be true.
In psychology classes we watched security footage of real people in these situations and were horrified to see everyone walking by ignoring them. None of us could believe that no one was helping and thought we'd never be so heartless. But then ask yourself "how many times have I driven past a stranded motorist without stopping? What excuses did I give myself?" It's the exactly the same thought process at play, which is a terrifying bit of self realization.
I was taught this in my flight attendant course and also in sefarer school. In an emergency, you can't just shout a command into the crowd and hope someone does it, you have to look around, quickly scan the crowd, find someone who looks like they could do the job and give them the order, make them repeat it. If you say "somebody grab that fire extinguisher!", either no one will do it or everyone will try to do it at once.
Well, its confirmed. Our woods have random portals we can travel thru. Only shitty part is that you'll never know where you'll travel to. Odds are you'll end up still in the woods..somehere..
Although mostly the stories MrBallen tells are ones I have not heard, the ones I have heard of he somehow is able to tell it in a way that makes me think I've never heard it before. Excellent storytelling right here. Well done and thank you for your service.
If I saw a 2 year old running into the woods I'd still look to make sure someone else is getting him, and if they don't I'm going after it! I can't believe that happened like that!
They also didnt seem to care that their kid was chasing (tormenting, since he is two and doesnt get gentleness and boundaries) a poor cat either. And slept instead of searching themselves. I get that from the search party but I know i would be getting a torch and looking all night.
I went out in the middle of the night, in the middle of a storm, in the middle of the woods, looking for my dog…I can’t imagine going home for the night while a child was missing.
I was outside I'm subfreezing weather cause my dog got loose. He's an outdoor guardian breed and it was daylight I kept up with that dog and got him home. If my KID goes missing?! Nothing would stop me from finding my child. Not a single thing.
In Many Alien abductions, The Very young Children seem to be Brought Back Unharmed, One kid In another vid laughed at what happened & Wouldnt Say any More about it
Hopefully over the years a lot of the children involved in these stories will be able to articulate what happened and we get some more insight into it.

That last one just sounds like murder to me. It was a small group of people on a lonely island, without much to do - tensions might've been high between them, if they didn't get along that well. Maybe the others were all in on it - we only know the story as told by them, after all. Who knows if the poor guy even intended to go on patrol at all? They could've just killed him, hid his body (and very well, too - they knew the island perfectly after all, and they would've known where he wouldn't be found) and made up that story to cover their tracks. That sounds far more likely to me than anything else.
I feel like instead of that, he could have seen something. Went to investigate it. Whatever he saw scared him so much he hid in that tiny boulder area, then got stuck and died in there.
@@kimmycupreacts maybe it could very well be he saw the crevice area that was open beforehand and the boulder fell on him and pinned him in there killing him or w.e too. Its impossible to know
They could have just thrown him into the water off the big cliff he was on instead and that would have worked just as well and it would also make it more likely that others will think it was an accident
@@Wrong896 Throwing a body in the ocean doesn't actually disappear it as fully as people seem to think it does, especially if you do it near the shore. Give it a few hours, and that body would wash right back up. Hiding it somewhere where you _know_ it can't be found sounds like a safer bet.
@Timeturner they could have waited for a day or 2 then reported him missing so his body could have rotted a bit then sunk to the bottom of the ocean and they all thought at first he fell into the ocean so that would have just made them think he fell in even more if they killed him that would have just been a better option they probably just didn't kill him remember this did take place in ww2 we have no idea how long he was really missing if they did kill him and that would have just worked better or they could bury him
When I was 2 or 3 I remember running off out of my grandparents backyard and running through back yards in the community, stopping to play with any kids or play equipment I found. To me it was so much fun and I spent the whole day and evening running and playing. This was along a forest too but thank god there was sand boxes and play equipment in the backyards I was exploring to keep me entertained enough to stop me from running into the woods. I had no concept that I was doing anything wrong - I wasn’t thinking about the night time or getting cold - I was just living in the moment having a blast. My grandparents and parents were so scared and shouting for me and eventually found me (I think a neighbour must have spotted me). It is so easy for a young kid to run off in a split second. I should have never been in the backyard without a fence keeping me in and someone out with me. I 100% believe I would have easily and happily ran deep into the woods never to be found again.
My boss is taking his 11 year old daughter hiking this weekend. I immediately told him to give her a whistle and get a satellite phone. Tell her to stay on the trail and not wonder off. He said the hike is about one mile long. 🤭 But I still had to fill him in on multiple stories from MrBallen.
If someone is hiking with a child, they should tie a rope around both of their waists so they're constantly connected. Ppl laugh but it works. A whistle is a good idea too. And mace.
@Ed Eddy it would make sense IF you leave out the time aspect. It would take a lot longer for him to go/be transported there than his patroling would take, so the others would most likely start searching for him or alarm HQ right away, a spy would never risk his mission by killing an unsignificant grunt, especially by not disposing of fhe body in the water where he might never been found, but doing the extreme effort of carrying him on the mountain? I do believe the others had something to do with it and they were all in on it, nobody knows if he really disappeared they day they called it in, might have been the day before giving them ample time to carry him up (explains why he was under a rock, if thrown in the water the helos or coast guard might have found him with the injuries responsible for his death, now it is probably a cold case, doubt after all these years and element exposure they find a 100% cause of death), if nobody else is around u only have their side of the story.
I've noticed that in a lot of cases involving young kids, they seem to all involve memory loss, animals or falling asleep & showing up somewhere else. Wtf is taking these kids???
Maybe the one kid who was falling asleep under trees was actually sleep walking? Maybe when he was under the tree he was actually awake and then when he kept falling asleep because his body was physically tired from all of the walking, he would continue to sleep walk and in his dream of sleep walking there were things watching him? And maybe just maybe that his sleep walking self was able to push his physical limits and walk the 30-40 miles to where he ended up. I think everyone's had a sleep walking experience once or twice in their life. I've heard of people sleep raping before, sleep walking, sleep driving, sleep eating, sleep shopping all kinds of stuff. One time I slept walked and it was just me and my mom that lived in the house at the time but my 3 other siblings were over and one of their boyfriends and so they were all sleeping in the other living room area which this was a small house probably 1,200 sqf. But I went to bed in my room, and then I woke up completely naked with no blankets in the other living room area on the couch and I was like 17-18 years old. Some how my sleep walking self thought for whatever reason it'd be a good idea in a small house that was fairly crowded to be naked and walk to the couch or who knows where else and start sleeping again lol. To this day I still don't know if anyone else saw me naked just chilling on the couch or not but no one mentioned anything so I think I'm safe. But point is, you can do some pretty wild things when sleep walking that you would never normally do. So that's why I'm almost thinking if he got lost and then sat down to rest and ended up falling asleep maybe it triggered some kind of weird sleep walking session where he walked 40 miles away for no apparent reason and thought things were watching him?
Strange things are happening in the NE woods of this country. Especially to young kids. Involving them seeing the same things/creatures. Too many similarities for them to just be ignored.
I really appreciate and enjoy how specific you are about things that most would assume are known. Simple things like "asthma" it seems obvious but maybe many don't know what it is. That to me is an amazing way to tell a story. I can just imagine how many people are learning things from you further than just the story itself.

I just found his channel the other day and I’m hooked as well. So genuine unlike so many other UA-camrs. Just so real and friendly. He needs more attention!
The military is notorious for covering up murders that happen among each other. Doesn’t matter what branch either! If he was truly forced in there, it’s possible it was the other people on the island with him - how can they actually prove they were in the weather center when they said they were? That story totally reminds me of the Scottish lighthouse keepers. Totally mysterious what happened to them too!
Since Rowan was 2yrs old & there were no cows out there, I would’ve shown him pictures of multiple possible animals including cows & asked him “Were these the “cows”?” Would’ve been worth a shot to see if he confused cows with something else.

I was watching an FBI expert on non-verbal communications. As he described the way people use their hands, I thought of you. Your gestures are perfect for storytelling, or just getting people to trust you. You are really gifted. And yes, I brutalize that like button every time.
He really is! The coordination of hands and mouths are connected in our brains, which is why people stick out their tongues or move their mouths when they write (physically, with pen or pencil. Computers are the same.) Mr. Ballen has a real story telling talent that shows in his hands as well.
So many times, when you hear stories like this, they all talk about seeing “animals” watching them but never hurting them. Just like the story of the woman who had gotten separated from her brother, had seen these “things, beings that were human like” watching her but never harmed her.
But why do these "things" abduct these children to start with? There is no way that these children can end up where they are found, not on their own. In this case, the child experienced fear at these "animals", even though he says they never hurt him. Some stories indicate a more friendly entity, but here the child felt no comfort and was scared. Whatever the case, i don't find these "things" to be good. Not in my opinion.

My first thought of 5 men alone on an island was a “lord of the flies” situation. That is a long time with the same people on a seemingly lawless land.

As fascinating as MrBallen’s stories are I get a real kick out of these Easter Eggs!
Anyone else notice the kids always say they see some type of "animals" stick there head out behind trees but they never hurt them ? Interesting anyone else make that connecting?
yeah i just watched another video of a young kid saying he went into 'the awful dark' and was surrounded by a bunch of scary animals but a giant led him out of there.
The third story isn't as uncommon as some may think. When I was in the army one of the units under my branch got deployed overseas. 9 months they went and when they finally return, they were happy and having a party at the barracks. The next morning the warrant officer of my section had staff duty so she made her morning route around the barracks to make sure everything is still okay. She found someone in the gutter face down. First thinking the party went too far as it was pretty common to have them with how many of them gets deployed she tabs him with her boot. He didn't respond. Kneeing down she checks on him further and noticed that he was unconscious and clearly beaten up very badly. He was in a mini coma and there was an investigation of what could of happened to him. Later on after some people spilled the beans and the victim recovering we found out what happened. During that 9 month deployment he was very annoying and just did whatever to the point people working with him just hated his guts. But they cannot do anything since they are in a deployment zone that is active. When they finally got home and to the party the group of people who worked with him talked about getting a bit of revenge by kicking his ass. Getting him drunk way more than everyone else they took him outside and begin to kick his ass. Not sure how long they would do it but he ended up with a broken rib, head injuries, and visible markings over his body. If it wasn't for the warrant officer I knew on staff duty doing the checking, he could of very well died since a lot of people don't do the full check around the barracks. Not saying that is what happened in the third story, but it isn't far fetched.
I really don't understand why so many people write 'could of' instead of the correct way; could've/could have. why is that mistake so common? is this not taught at school? or is it deliberate? I'm so confused
There was a war going on. There was a battle on Attu Island, about 100 mi away, the year before. A Japanese patrol from a boat or submarine could have happened upon him and hid his body.

This reminded me of my brother and me getting lost at sea for a day and having to pull him out of quicksand once. Man, that time he went missing in a national forest and they sent helicopters, dogs everything out. My autistic brother, just walked up out of the forest two days later smiling ear to ear and holding a baby possum on his arm. I was sitting on the steps of the ranger station and he just walked up. I remember going: " I told them you would be alright, Grams is going to be SO PISSED and RELIEVED." My brother before his death in 02 ( struck by 18 wheeler off HWY 10 in Florida while we were on vacation. I was twelve, he was 13.) He was always dragging me on adventures with him and people would find us in the strangest places. My Pops taught us from an early age how to survive in the woods. ( Avid Camper/Hunter) We would just go walking off in the woods together as kids to escape together. We drove my grandparents crazy. Turning bunji cords into swings, running up the side of the house. This reminded me a lot of the pickles he would find himself in.
Moose would have killed him lol, especially a female. Maybe deer or antelope? But probably misidentifying something predatory in the area that is black and white.

On that last one, I get the feeling it was his own squad that took him out. Whether it was by negligence, in anger, or a decision made between the three, my best guess is that they were covering something up. They could have tossed him in the water, but they were probably afraid he’d wash up on shore at some point.
Yeah sounds like it to me too. And while they searched over and over, they probably directed searchers away from his body. If they did kill him, I hope they had terrible deaths too.
Or he went exploring, slipped and fell into the crack, getting wedged in. We don't know the dimensions, surrounding ground, etc. I am not saying this is what happened but it is as possible as a murder, given the lack of information.
They're the ones who gave the account of when he went AWOL, so he could've realistically been missing for a LOT longer before they gave the alarm. They controlled the narrative, pretty much.
I would have to say a channel like his with over 1 million subscribers and getting 300,000 or more views every video is not being slept on. There are thousands of channels getting way less views than him
Of course, if he had been murdered/was already dead, he could NOT come out from under the rock.. 😏 Or maybe he somehow became mentally ill and fell into a "fugue state".
I don't typically like horror stuff but MrBallen has really pushed me into a trance and I'm LOVING IT Thanks so much! I can enjoy horror stuff n' whatnot with my family now!
At the risk of being "that guy", I need to offer one correction: It wasn't "mob mentality". It's the "bystander effect". While both require groups of people, these are different psychological phenomena.
Thank you! Yes, it's the idea that the more people available to help, the lower your chances of any one of them actually helping. Because each one thinks that someone else will do something. People have been overlooked while dying, or been actively murdered with dozens of spectators doing nothing to help (or summon help), due to this effect. It's also why we were trained, in First Aid class, to point at a specific person and say "You! Call 911" and "You! Go find a defibrillator -- an AED" or the like. Give the responsibility to one person specifically; less chance of delays.
The bystander effect is why I always get help when someone says "meh someone probably already called" this could be anything from something dangerous on the road, to seeing an abandoned dog that needs help. Trust me, no one has called for help yet! Be the person!
I went hiking with my wife and kids at a state park that had a small forested area in an otherwise dull plains region. Once entering the forest, there's an eerie, magical sense, like you're in another part of the world. Much cooler, darker, and a general sense of strangeness. We hiked up the mesa, and on the way back through the forest on the return trip, there stood a massive cow, deep in the woods. Just slowly moving around, completely out of place. We took the long way around it.
Omgosh! The poor cow! There are no wild cows! He must have gotten lost. I was travelling down the highway one miserably rainy night all alone when I saw a giant pig running down the side on the highway on the grass. I was worried he'd run out onto the highway but I had no way to corral a giant pig on the loose. I hope he found his way home (and the massive cow too, lol)! 🐷🐄

That’s amazing! Men like you dad should have written books about their incredible stories! 🇺🇸
dolphins are know to be really intelligent creatures, to the point that they actually realize someone is in danger and, yes, actively try to help them. Not sure if its documented in woodland creatures but it's possible I'd imagine. still wouldn't explain how the boy traveled that distance in such a short time. A true mystery but one with a happy ending at least.
Dogs too
Probably just raccoons looking around trees. Happens a lot in the woods at night

Bloodhounds, however, are different from other dogs' noses. Because of their own unique genetics and, Humans, doing very selective breeding for well over, 2,500, years, Bloodhounds, have a scenting ability that surpasses us by, 100,000, times !
@@MidwestFarmToys Never good enough though!
You are somewhat good with kids to go into protective mode like you do!
@@lexititus2323 That's fantastic!!! I'm so glad you've got that worked out. Everyone having their dedicated responsibility helps a lot.

Another perfect example is the Nutty Putty Cave incident
Or the other soldiers he was with killed him and shoved him in there. Dumping him in the water runs the risk of him floating and his body coming to shore.

@@yawn2274He was probably abducted by a cult that wore animal mask resembling cows, bulls, moose, some animal, or possibly even demon masks.

What I think might have happened to Bud:
Since it was a clear and mild night, Bud figured he would make most of it and wanted to enjoy the peace and quiet after finishing his patrol.

Thanks for that advice, sure it makes sense.
Hope we won't need to use it, but good to
know. Greetings to you all, from California.
I was influenced by that effect once. It's really a matter of being too passive/not being assertive enough. Confidence really changes things.

Ye same I thought maybe Rowan could elaborate as an adult.
The only problem is they might forget about it completely or forget important details, something like that.
I just watched a few of these and it seems that everyone with a kid found alive in the woods they mentions animals/creatures peeking from behind trees
For a sec I thought you said unarmed

Me thinks Bud's "buddies" on the island know a bit more about what happened to him than, "he went out on a patrol." (3rd story)
Yeah, quite possible they all hated Bud. People keep a lot of secrets.
@@DerDrecksack87 My theory is he found this small spot and wanted to prank his buddies by hiding there, then got stuck and died.
@@orbnaes that's hopeful thinking
@Ed Eddy I was thinking that too tbh
I've noticed that in a lot of cases involving young kids, they seem to all involve memory loss, animals or falling asleep & showing up somewhere else. Wtf is taking these kids???
I wouldn’t expect the 2 year old to remember. The older ones, IDK. I guess they become disoriented.
Their imagination is, and their imagination is real.

I still love catching up the old stories of Mr Ballen!...

There is no possible way of someone coming to the island, getting into a scuff, ualives dude, hides the body, then leaves off the island all in an hour without being seen. Edit: if a bear wanted to kill you it could. Like a bear literally gonna hit you like your an enemy it's farming in game.
@@user-wj3up9ih3z the hell is your point?
Exactly what I thought. And why would the search party officials just be like, "awe it's dark out, we are just gonna have to call off the search till the morning"!? WTF!? If a 2 year old is out there somewhere all alone you would think as night set in the search party would grow even more vigilant and search with even more determination not just go home and go to bed. And yes if that was my kid I would be out there searching all night long too!
"oh no i couldn't find him"
"let some animal eat him im sleeping"
Your not gonna find anything in the dark plus your just gonna get lost yourself so your just gonna backtrack efforts on finding your kid.
Things that i've learned from Mr Ballen: Don't
Literally what I tell my nephews now, "do you want to end up on MRBALLEN, because that's how you end up on MRBALLEN" 😆
@@bridget1138 🤣🤣🤣. "Mr Ballen" is going to be the new version of the boogey man to kids!
Was there more to that sentence? Or did it really just end with only the word "don't"..? proceeding a colon -> ":" for some reason? Was it supposed to be a list? And if it did end with just ": Don't" am i missing something? The two comments after it are fully there and BTW i hope your talking about at least a teenager nephew lol some of these stories... or most i guess are not very kid friendly :D haha. But ya the first msg just stops at don't for me for some reason. makes no
@@davidsharwark6238 Don't.
Stay home! 😭😂 but, if you remember some of the stories like the sink hole one , I guess we aren't safe there either lol
Thank goodness MrBallen adds humor before and after these horrible acts, helps me settle my nerves. 👍🏻👍🏻
Being surprised when lost humans end up 'unbelievably' longer distances away than anticipated seems a reoccurring theme.
ya
Or a swamp
Well read the title homie
That’s what we’re here for
That’s what’s makes it a missing411 case
Just discovered this guy... Lol he tells the stories like he was there
Hes addictive trust me

Welcome in procrastination land😂
Same. Great videos and very addicting. Notice, it looks like he hit one million subs with this video and he's passed three now.
On that last one, I get the feeling it was his own squad that took him out. Whether it was by negligence, in anger, or a decision made between the three, my best guess is that they were covering something up. They could have tossed him in the water, but they were probably afraid he’d wash up on shore at some point.
I think so, his own guys killed him and stuffed him there to make it look like he disappeared.
It’s the only logical explanation it’s a sick one but yeah
Yeah sounds like it to me too. And while they searched over and over, they probably directed searchers away from his body. If they did kill him, I hope they had terrible deaths too.
Or he went exploring, slipped and fell into the crack, getting wedged in. We don't know the dimensions, surrounding ground, etc. I am not saying this is what happened but it is as possible as a murder, given the lack of information.
They're the ones who gave the account of when he went AWOL, so he could've realistically been missing for a LOT longer before they gave the alarm. They controlled the narrative, pretty much.
These videos scare the hell outta me but I can’t stop watching them
This channel is being slept on... Underrated !!!!!!
Jesus loves you.
I would have to say a channel like his with over 1 million subscribers and getting 300,000 or more views every video is not being slept on. There are thousands of channels getting way less views than him
@@seanhokanson4115 Totally agreed. If anything, my channel is one that is slept on. Lol
@@seanhokanson4115 Thank you man! Appreciate it.

"All he had to do was not be under the boulder 24/7." That cracked me up.
Of course, if he had been murdered/was already dead, he could NOT come out from under the rock.. 😏
Or maybe he somehow became mentally ill and fell into a "fugue state".
MrBallen made that statement at the exact same time I was reading it in your comment. Odd and spooky. Lol
I don't typically like horror stuff but MrBallen has really pushed me into a trance and I'm LOVING IT
Thanks so much! I can enjoy horror stuff n' whatnot with my family now!
This isn't "horror." True stories are classed as true crime or missing persons cases, not horror.
I like how he kinda lightens the mood if it gets kinda "scary"
His voice is very pleasant.. even if his stories r a bit mysterious lol.
It feels like the time when you wake up and was making coffee but your dad stops you and tells you about what happened in the newspapers.
His TikToks have scary images, I am scared when I watch.
I like him on you tube better✌🏻
Thank you for including the info for Dave's channel!
You’re not that guy pal
Nah, you're not "that guy" when you're actually correct - especially when you're not being disrespectful.
The bystander effect is why I always get help when someone says "meh someone probably already called" this could be anything from something dangerous on the road, to seeing an abandoned dog that needs help. Trust me, no one has called for help yet! Be the person!
It's really the parents fault. If they were busy, they should have assigned someone to watch the 2 year old. Especially if they're near open areas

My little girl and I were thrilled that Rowan was found safe, but then she says "but what happened to the cat?" Lol
No she right. What happened to the cat!!!😨
There never was a cat 😱
Huh
If I’m gonna guess it seems like Bud’s army friends killed him and stuffed him in a hole as far away as they could- He could have been dead for days before they called it in to base for help. But I watch too much Dateline and CourtTV.
Yeah where is da cat
One of my kids disappears? I'm not waiting for anyone; I'd be walking all night looking for my babies.

Good shit bro.
For the first story, I grew up with a swamp behind my house, and kids can run through a swamp way faster than an adult because they don’t sink so much on peat moss. As far as the cows, maybe he saw some deer haha
