That second story always makes me think that if the son was feeling delirious and fatigued there’s probably a good chance he thought he was walking towards his father but he was too out of it to realize it was the wrong way
But why would he tell the dog to stay if he thought he was meeting up with his father? That would mean someone still has to walk back to get the dog if they’d found help.
It sounds more like hypothermia. It's when the body temperature is really really low. The signs are: Confusion, Delusional, very tired and feeling of paralization / immobility. That comes and probably goes away for a short time. Like your body has the last bit of strengh left. But it also can make you think you are hot like your sweating. That's why people with hypthermia tend to get undressed. Maybe the dog noticed it but wanted to stay because of the father? And then because of the snowstorm and the bad weather they couldn't see where he went and the dog couldn't find his scent.
Why he did it? There is no answer to this because he - the son - wasn't sane anymore.
The father seemed also has had hypothermia as he thought he is seeing things that weren't there.
And that's why hikers should have a satellite telefon and a gps with you. Always.
Seems more likely that the dad was being shady...
That whole story is truly mysterious. Nothing in it makes any sense. I mean, didn’t they have someone at home who would’ve known that they hadn’t come home when they said they would be and why would he have taken off his socks and boots. Just doesn’t make any sense unless the dad had something to do with it.
@@debrajones4010 Everything that the son was described as doing makes perfect sense and is far from mysterious if you know what you're looking at. It sounds like a classic case of hypothermia. The delirium, the paradoxical undressing (taking off the clothes when it's obviously freezing), the immobility, and him getting a burst of energy right at the end are all textbook symptoms. That last burst of adrenaline filled energy is the body desperately trying to heat itself up and keep moving, which explains how he got up and started walking after not being able to all day and why he died so soon after losing some of his clothes. The undressing happens at about the same time, hence why the clothes and body were found relatively close together. The dog is easily explained by him just listening to the father's command to stay put. Hunting dogs usually have amazing obedience, so chances are, it got told to stay and it stayed. As for the trip and people knowing, they might not have told anyone or it may have just been between the two of them for whatever reason (i.e. there wasn't a mom/wife in the picture, they just didn't think to make it a big deal, etc.). The dad is the least shady person in this story, and most of it is chalked up to a lack of emergency preparedness and horrible weather.
I legitimately choose this over netflix almost 100% of the time.

It's very easy to get lost and consumed from the stories of MrBallen tell. Sometimes hour's goes by listening to these stories and I end up with missing time wondering where the day went even when I'm busy around the house or work!!

I'm a new mother. My son's first birthday was recently and I asked for a state park pass so we can go to different state parks. I love hiking and he loves being outside. A lot of the parks have other attractions, but I primarily want to go hiking.
Now I'm regretting asking for the pass. It's illogical, nothing is going to happen. But, the idea of him just disappearing terrifies me. I would be ruined mentally. My heart breaks for these families.

A lot of the 411 are usually really young children that were out of site for 1-2min. They were also in the forest.
I think your initial gut reaction is right, why did I ask for this pass. I’m retired from government service worked outdoors majority of the time. Never ever leave a child unattended especially in the woods. And know this, so so many people go missing in National parks and the government will not create an information center for the missing, go figure. Be safe.
The first story was heartbreaking. That brother must have felt terrible for years and it probably still eats him up when he thinks about what happened to his brother.
It wasn't he's fault..it was his mothers..that is really stupid...she had to have gotten far enough away ...that she couldn't see him..

honestly the mother should have felt horrible for not carrying him over with her he was 4 years old with a 6 year old watching him and the 10 year old even then could have said "mom I can stay with my 4 year old brother" if asked to but she was to busy with the fact her 4 year old didn't want shoes on to think about carrying him it wasn't the 6 year olds fault either cause well he's 6 and doesn't wanna feel excluded from the family and when the mother seen the 6 year old she should have walked to the 4 year old in sted of scolding the 6 year old for 1-2 muintes give said person a chance to grab the poor kid

Especially when she had a perfect good ten year old that could have actually done it instead. That is if you neglect the possibility that she could have also just carried the kid.

But you are right she probably didn't even consider it a possibility that something like that would happen at all. It really is only one of those things that you think about in hindsight or if it's already happened to you in the past.

I was once lost in a patch of woods once. I had gone there to deer hunt. That is probably the worst few minutes of my life. I say that because once panic sets in you find yourself running aimlessly, making a bad situation only worse. But I did finally get a grip on my situation and found myself a way out to my truck. I had actually somehow circled around and came out about 2 miles from where I parked. Great story telling.
A similar thing happened to me and my cousins out at our Grandmother's property. It's ringed by woods that get thicker the further away from the house you get. We were lost for the entire afternoon, it was almost dark by the time we finally exited the woods a while down the road at the next house down. Crazy far from my Grandmother's house, you can't even see the two houses from one another. We were less than 10 and we had no idea how far we had walked, no clue what direction we were going in.
Yeah whenever a person feels lost in the woods they have a natural instinct to start running. One time I was lost and started running, it was close to dark and I almost ran off a small cliff. So I decided to slow down and I eventually made it out. I learned from that.
I was in south lake tahoe ...9 yrs old playing in the woods in early Nov..my brother walks home for some stupid reason..i just wanted to hang out in the woods..then i realized i better get going home. ..but i traveled south when i should have went north..bottomline i spent a night in the woods probably the most frightening experience I ever encounter due to the different noises and sounds that I heard all night I heard things that I couldn't tell you what they were I crawled underneath a dead tree and foliage and when I woke up I heard people looking for me my mom my dad and the sheriff department boy did I get in big trouble.

I’ve been lost many times playing in the woods as a kid and never once did running even cross my mind. Never heard of anyone saying that they thought to run when they thought they were lost. Most people either stop, look around and try to figure out where they are at and then they keep walking hoping to find something they recognize or they stay where they are hoping someone will come look for them and find them.
The first one brings back bad memories. My 2-year-old (or maybe 1 at the time? can't remember) got scared of the lawnmowers next door and ran away during the few seconds I was looking away attaching a hose to the faucet by the house. Before we found her a few minutes later, she had made it past the next neighbor's house in the other direction and was picking dandelions near the woods. It was a scary few minutes. Kids can move fast.
It was probably closer to around a minute or so. Time flies by when you’re preoccupied with seemingly minor tasks.

The mother in the first story has absolutely no reason to be upset at her 6 year old son. The woman should have NEVER left her children behind on the road in the first place. Pick up your child and carry him if you're worried about his feet. You don't ever leave your children alone in the woods, especially if you can't see them or they can't see you.

Yup, don't leave children alone even on your own house. Who knows whatever stunt they'll pull and get them in danger? My mom tells me the tales of things she did as a baby, like climbing an wardrobe and sitting in a window in the 5th floor, kids don't have that much notion of danger.

I have a friend who owns a US Marine Corporal/Police dog that is used in SAR. Just a few years ago she (the dog) saved a child's life in a state park. The police and volunteers had been searching for 8 hours. The dog found the kid within 20 minutes. Start with dogs people

Unfortunately the dogs don’t always work especially when they can’t pick up the scent in some of these stories and that I’ve seen sometimes the dogs either can’t pick up a scent or the scent they get leads nowhere but yes the dogs needed to be used sooner
You know I like Ballen cause he's not tellin' these stories in a weird ''creepypasta'' style voice/cadence. He just telling the story in his normal voice/tone. It makes for a better story to me.
Well put, it feels like when a friend you know not to be one to believe in paranormal stuff and usually can debunk odd occurrences easily tells you a story of something even they can’t explain. Way scarier than a known prankster trying to rile you up in my opinion

Yeah, I don’t really like it when they overdo the spooky voice.
Children can get lost so quickly. We lost are son when he was 3 in store. We lost him again when he was 4 at the cabin. We found him the first time in about 30 minutes, the second time about 6 hours. It just takes a moment. We were fortunate are searching was successfull. I cried listening to these stories knowing how close we were to losing are son.
I think that Bobby was taken by a cougar. This explains why it happened so fast and so quietly. The cougar probably stalked them. If it grabbed Bobby and ran with him there probably would not be any blood. Where the dog lost the track the cougar probably jumped into a tree with Bobby. Poor Bobby :-(
But there weren't any cougar tracks according to the expert's report.

I agree. Cougars are incredibly stealthy, fast and it's not unusual for them to grab prey by the throat/head which can stop anything from making noise.

Story 1: After watching true crime stories I have come to realize that family can do very disturbing acts to one another. The simplest explanation is the most probable. The child's family. If the detectives were worth anything they would have suspected the family after all other reasonable explanations had not panned out. I think MrBallen left that part out. If he did not, then why were the family not suspects?
Then where's the body? Same problem as with an abduction.
It blows my mind that his bones were never found. Even if an animal took him, they wouldn’t have ate his bones.
The dog picked up the scent for 2 miles and no body or anything was ever found what would they have done with him
@@brandonhuskey7867 Some animal would definitely also eat the bones, but animals wouldn't do it quickly so the dogs would have picked up the scent most likely.
@@gagejernigan5277 They could have buried him really deep, which prevents the dogs from smelling exactly where the grave is. They can cover the grave with rocks and other things.
Also, if there is a river with flowing water in the area, if the body is in the water the dogs wouldn't find him either.
And the most disturbing option of all, they could have been the once that ate him.
There is some insanely sick people in this world. And cannibalism is a real thing.
I love listening to Mr Ballen tell his stories and his infectious laugh .
As a father, any story whereas a child goes missing or is found deceased, it's the most devastating feeling that any parent would never want to experience from their children. My heart goes out.
Cant feel too bad for the complete FOOLS who allowed the children to die by a combination of ill preparation, and allowing their children out of their sight in those situations.
Stories like these piss me off so much.... When my son is with me in the woods, i am prepared as hell for ANY weather.

I feel the same way. It's actually kind of strange in a way because before my daughter was born I didn't feel nearly as strongly about it as I do now. Of course I would think it's sad, I'd relate it to my (much) younger siblings, etc. But now it's just devastating. I honestly really hate hearing it and wish there was a warning in the description or something about which kids aren't found or are found deceased so I can skip those stories.
Imagine a parent hearing "There wasn't much left of your child", that would scar a person for life.

One could only hope, that he was able to cope with this "inner guilt" some Time through his life. Missing someone is like a open wound that' never really able to heal - let alone missing under this mysterious circumstances 😥
I’ve been binging your videos for a few weeks watching every time in the the car and just listening. The “Headlights” story in this video has got to be the most fascinating one I’ve ever heard.
I just want to say I’m 28, and I’ve quit smoking and drinking after almost 10 years of doing both everyday. These videos are what’s helping me get through these first hard few weeks. So thank you Mr.Ballen! And good luck to anyone else going through something similar!

I shouldn't watch the ones on the forest and woods.... I don't have a problem with the other ones because I don't crawl in caves, I don't scuba dive... but I shouldn't watch these ones. I love the forest and spend a lot of time in them alone... these stories pop into my head at the worst times!

Thanks man. Your videos are so relaxing that it helps me fall asleep. Basically the same scary story stuff I grew up listening to before bed.
Things I got from these stories.
1. Never leave a minor under another minor's care then get irritated if the other old minor does something a normal minor would do, which is become unpatient or easily distracted.
2. Never assume safety, just because you think you're alone, doesn't necessarily mean that you are.
3. Just don't leave your kid alone and unattended. Kids do stupid and illogical things, they're adventurous, curious and wants to explore.
2 year olds can't walk for miles in the dark, barefoot, uphill. This is a common thing in missing 411. It's incredibly unlikely.
4. Don't live near woods, mountains, swamps, or any widespread nature
Don't leave a kid to attend a child , children have short attention span let alone be responsible for another child that's the parents job

Story one makes me convinced something happened with the family being involved unless it’s truly paranormal
I know that in the 1960's, leaving very young children alone was more normal than it is today. But leaving a 6-year-old with a 4-year-old and then being angry with the 6-year-old is as irresponsible as it gets. That poor young man probably feels guilty to this day, even though he would be in his 60's today. That being said, I can't imagine losing a young child like that in the woods and then never knowing what happened. I would much rather find them deceased than to never find them at all.
Apparently the now adult children say the parents never blamed anyone for the loss. They were very religious and chalked it up to God's will

I mean, having a 6 year old accompany a 4 year old isn't a huge task. Especially if you have done it before. 6 year olds aren't that dumb, but leaving a 4 year old with a 6 year old is another thing.
If she really had to leave she should have left the 10 year old kid with Bobby.

I think for the second story that the son was quickly suffering from hypothermia causing confusion and disorientation cause maybe he wanted to follow his dad but quickly got lost and just kept on going in hopes of finding his dad. The son most likely couldn’t walk because of his hypothermia as well. Hypothermia can make you file like you aren’t able to walk due to muscle stiffness and difficulty in moving, that’s because his body was probably trying to conserve warmth by decreasing his blood flow. After not moving for a while and conserving enough heat, I think he could walk again to a certain extent. That his shoes and socks where off could also be due to the hypothermia making him falsely believe he was actually hot instead of cold. And as for the dad who didn’t show many signs of hypothermia might have gotten a few symptoms, though later and less severe than his son, without realizing. The headlights would then be most likely to be a hypothermia induced hallucination. So all in all I believe the strange occurrences where the result of hypothermia
Moral of the story: Never leave your kids alone.

6:10 Abduction sounds right. There are all kinds of creeps and serial killers in the forests ... like Gary Hilton, Randall Lee Smith, or Cary Stayner for example. One of the key aspects that distinguishes an "antisocial personality disorder" from a "psychopath" is their tendency to commit "crimes of opportunity" without any planning or thought. Snatching a kid on a whim wouldn't be abnormal for them. They were on a more remote part of a camp site but still "near" a camp site. This is the kind of place people trying to hide out, find victims, or "stealth camp" would be. The spot in the road is where the abductor picked Bobby up and carried him. As far as not hearing anything, all the abductor had to do was silently wave him over or lure him away with something. Doesn't sound that mysterious to me, actually.

Well..her and 2 dogs. There were no roads. You had to heli In , hike 8 hours or boat in on a rocky coast. Which no one did unless absolutely necessary.
One night while In her cabin with her 2 dogs she heard 3 knocks on her door. The dogs freaked out. She didn't move. Literally stayed frozen until sunrise.
In the morning she looked for prints by the door. Nothing was there. There's no chance anything would've been there. But there were 3 heavy, evenly spaced out knocks on the door.

most parents have had a moment when theyre at a mall or carnival and for about 10 seconds you cant find your child and that horrible instant panic kicks in but luckily it only last the 10 seconds up until you spot your child. could you imagine days, weeks or years of that feeling?

Once I couldn't find my son at a park and I was flipping out,crying,screaming his name. He crawled out of the tunnel by the slide and was like "mommy! Are u okay?!". Those 2 minutes felt like 2 hours and I was so relieved, I just couldn't stop crying.😥
That was my moment! But I don't think I could go on if something like that happened to one of my kids.
I can’t even imagine my daughter abducted or missing without a trace! I always say if my child was ever taken from me, I’d no longer want to be in this world. Truly I can’t imagine my life without her. I couldn’t live with that, I feel so bad for any parents whose experienced this.

My mom saw me and ran after me and he ran off ; I’ve never seen such fear in someone’s eyes like
I did in my mothers. As an adult now , my child was hiding in a garmet rack at Walmart to scare women (he was 7)… I felt the same sheer panic when I couldn’t find him anywhere …

My mom used to work at a police department, so she had the pleasure of seeing the worst side of humanity daily, including abduction cases. On top of that, she had a 5 year old who thought it was absolutely hilarious to hide in clothing racks or duck behind corners while shopping... I'm legitimately terrified of the karma that will unfold if I ever have kids
I really love how Mr. Ballen includes non-important details like 'they got out of the tree and stretched and adjusted themselves.' Those little details aren't really important and don't add any special information to the story, but they make it so much more immersive and believable. I love how much time, effort, and detail he puts into his videos.

That was in the 60s way different time back then. Going barefoot as a child wasn’t an issue.
Also depending on the articles you read about Bobby Panknin, you’ll find out it was reported at least twice that the oldest went off by himself to find the creek, the mother followed him after telling her second oldest to watch Bobby. That 10 feet in between them, was really about a 100 -150 feet.

I appreciate the work that goes into this. It looks easy until you try to replicate it. The writing, the staging, and the performance required o produce a product that’s entertaining, informative, and short enough not to turn people away. Doing that consistently takes talent and creativity. Editing takes a high degree of skill. You really notice when it’s done badly. The good creators like this one deserve support.

I honestly thought the story of the little boy would end with him being found alive. Don’t know why! Been listening to dark stuff for days. When the story ended my heart just dropped. It’s horror stories like that that made me watch my boys like a hawk when they were little. Never let them out of my sight in public, held their hands when walking anywhere, took them in the ladies restrooms with me, never left them in the car. People called me overprotective and paranoid. You know what? My kids are alive and well. Call me whatever the hell you want.

Exactly! You can never take your eyes off of little kids whether it's in a store, a park, or out in nature. Between possible people taking them, there are predators and/or kids could wander off and be hurt, lost, or killed in a million different ways. It's amazing how quickly they can disappear in a matter of seconds.

I was camping with my in laws over the summer last year and we witnessed some crazy stuff at night. I'm not easy to scare but that night terrified me. It started at exactly 2am and didnt stop until around 430ish. We heard footsteps, bullfrogs went quiet suddenly, and I'm pretty sure something was lurking near my tent cuz I think I saw it crouch behind it. I couldn't tell what it was cuz it was pitch black outside and after it stopped I spent the rest of the night sleeping in the truck. My brother told me there were rumors of bigfoot or a skinwalker and that he had been there a few times before. We found boulders that looked like they were crudely carved into giant stone chairs and we also found huge handprints not far from there that were far larger than an average human hand.
When ppl say "I only looked away for 2 minutes and he/she was gone...", it's actually more like 20 minutes.
Literally. My cousins wife tried to use this excuse after letting her one year old drown in the bathtub. It was like 30 mins. 🙄

Ive read so many instances where people were found in freezing conditions stripped down to nothing. I once suffered heat stroke and my body was freezing. They had to wrap me in a lot of blankets even though it was over 100•
That's just theory, that was never backed up by any studys. It happend so often with those missing casses that they included it to one of the symptoms of hyphotermia, but as i mentioned it was never observed in any studys. Fun fact, how come not a single person that died on Everest was found without clothes? All the bodys are always found in full gear.
Maybe, the answer is, they actually died because od elements, and not of someones or something intervention.

The "Not Human" story, clearly the mum had pre-arranged to maybe sell or at least get rid of two of her kids and only wanted to keep the older one. Think about it! You would never leave the two youngest alone, you might leave one with the oldest but you wouldnt leave the two youngest. And if she was going to come back and carry the 4 year old to the waterfall anyway, why not just do it in the first place?
The chances of a random abductor being on that road at the fork where they must have parked a vehicle (which is why the trail goes cold there) are tiny. It is only plausable if she had pre-arranged the abduction beforehand. The fact that it even occured to her that the road was impassable by car when they were only walking suggests she was pre-empting any awkward questions. This is often seen in guilty people.
The fact that the middle brother has felt extreme guilt about leaving the younger one alone is sad. It was probably the fact that he got bored that actually saved him as i imagine he was meant to get abducted at the same time.

Hypothermia is caused by prolonged exposure to the cold and many people that're affected by it attempt to take off their clothes in delirium, this could easily explain the cause of Bobby's death being exposure as well as him walking away in delirium as well as the fact that he removed his shoes and socks.

Bobby 100% got abducted and the place where the bloodhound said bobby last was, was likely where bobby was forced into the abuctor's car, hence the scent gets dropped off in a seemingly random street

He taught me to be fearless and to be able to defend myself. He was a hard man, for himself but also for me. It made me strong and fierce and made me stand out between lots of other girls HAHA. The bad thing about him was that he hated that I was sensitive and empathetic. But no matter what he tried, he could never change that, and I am even more proud of that fact!!

I will say from experience, hypothermia is a very very mind boggling thing. I too had began to get frost bite in my feet before the full blown hypothermia had set it. The whole thing happened 22 years ago to this day actually. I had been riding my 4 wheeler from a friends home which was a solid 4-5 hour trip on a good day. It was in a very remote location in the high mountains of West Virginia. This road is 37 miles from one end to the other across a high mountain ridge and on this day it had been snowing to the point that I had to almost come to a complete stop because I couldn’t see for the snow flakes hitting my eyes. I had stopped at a farmers home to see if he would allow me to warm up and him knowing the misery I was enduring, invited me into his home and offered me sone warm coffee to which I very willingly accepted. I was only 15 years old mind you and I probsbky shouldn’t have made this trip alone but I had made it many times before and I knew I had school the next day so I had to try and get home. Knowing this area, I also knew that the snow storm was coming and had to try and get home regardless of the weather. The snow and ice had gathered on my bibs and when I stood up I’d have to take both fists and break the ice on my legs before I could stand because they were literally frozen the shape of my leg while setting. after leaving the old farmers home I had realized the snow had gotten much deeper in the hour or so I was at the farmers and I was starting to have a hard time even busting through sone of the heavy snow drifts. I finally got back to lower elevation where the snow wasn’t as deep snd instead of taking the back way, thst I normally took, it was an old railroad grade. I instead took the pavement home which was still about 20 miles or so but I was so miserable I couldn’t have ever made the longer back way. Wheh I got home I started taking off my boots and my feet had gotten so cold, my left heel had gotten completely frost bitten and the instant that I started to warm my feet up, thr left frozen heel ruptured and literally bloody slush oozed from the inside of my foot. I ended up suffering from frost bite in every toe on both feet. And the lack of blood flow had caused damage through my entire body. I ended up making a full recovery. When I first went to the doctor they took a brush snd scrubbed the nasty stuff out if my ruptured heel and took a huge swab and soaked my foot in gypsum violet, (I think it was called) it burned so bad I’ll never forget the pain. But I can very easily see the young man making irrational decisions that could’ve let to his demise. Dad situation. Sorry to be so long winded. Give me a like if you read this to the end. I’m sure somebody finds my story interesting.

What I find most confusing about the first story is, why leave the boys alone at all? If the plan was to go to the water with the oldest boy and then come back for the other two and carry Bobby to the water. Why not carry him from the start and all of them go down to the water together. And why take the oldest child and leave the two youngest on their own? If you had to leave your youngest behind, would it not make sense to at least leave the 10 year old. Something very weird about the mother’s story, especially with the conflicting story of the oldest boy saying it was 100-150 meters and not two meters

The story of James senior and the weird lights , could well be either, an extraterrestrial encounter or some paranormal activity, I've heard of ' ghost lights ', although that was away over at mount Shasta, perhaps James junior had his own encounter, and they harmed him.
This story though, ended abruptly , and we didn't get to know if they ever worked it out .

I believe 100% Bobby was taken by a cougar or something like that. Cougar's are insane and even though they didn't find tracks, I feel like thats the most logical explanation. But you think Bobby would have scream or something. I'm guessing Bobby wandered off within those two minutes and a Cougar that had been stalking them, snatched him up. ): Poor guy
In regards to Bobby’s story, they should’ve dug into the dirt where the bloodhound stopped sniffing instead of just brushing it around, just my thoughts on that

To be honest, I was allowed as a 6 year old to play alone / out of sight.
Although, you can't really decide such stuff soley based on age. My nephew wasn't even allowed to take the public transportation alone to his school until he was 13 which is, where I'm from, basically normal at the age of ~8.

Sounds like a mountain Lion took Bobby up a tree. People don’t look up enough when in the woods. So many times I’ve been in the woods and see not only a cat in a tree (bobcat, etc) but have been scared to death being surprised to see snakes, Bear, and even hunters. Be aware of your surroundings in the woods

Or even more?) and a whole bunch of people running all over the place, even the best bloodhound in the world would have a problem finding a track and more importantly, following it RELIABLY. People think dogs are these wonder-things that can do anything, but they are just as fallible as any living thing. And yes, before anyone asks: dogs DO run and follow *something* for a long long time if they think that's what their human wants. It's called a "ghost trail", where it seems that for sure the dog is tracking but in reality, it's just ... not. It's following something, just not what you want them to follow. Source: that's what I do (among other things). I train dogs (and more importantly their handlers).
Poor family, to hear something like that must have been really traumatic for them.😢😢
All these stories of guardians losing kids is giving me secondhand trauma. Now, I can't even imagine feeling comfortable with the idea of babysitting.
Story 2: it sounds like extreme hypothermia where you end up delirious and you begin to feel very warm to a point where you just take off your clothes and walk away.
My thoughts too. It's called paradoxical undressing and it well documented in hypothermia cases.
Precisely my thoughts. Taking off articles of clothing is very common in hypothermia cases and he probably regained his ability to walk because his body went into that last jump of survival mode. It was desperate to survive, warmed him up and got adrenaline flowing, but he was delirious and eventually succumbed to the elements. A very unfortunate, but common occurrence when it comes to cold exposure.

that actually never happens to hypothermia victims, it was just stated in the US because many people the found were undressed, in a "normal" hypothermia accident the people are never undressed

Yep. Unbelievably stupid decision. This wasn't just a small oversight, mistake or bad luck -- just a really stupid parent.
Edna's was initially upset when she hadnt realized that the boy was really missing. Just annoyed that he hadnt listened to her. And as Mr Ballen said they were only about 10vfeet away from one another just couldnt see due to the brush. It was mo ones fault but I'm sure they each blamed themselves.
What would you have dond in that situation. Wear her shoes at least

I can’t IMAGINE the fear this child had…. Thinking the worst was being afraid of the dark…. To only get eaten (hopefully not alive) by some beast…. To the point they couldn’t even tell a cause of death her body was so damaged… god damn.
