your pfp - new mrballen story about how an adopted daughter got stolen by a bunch of dudes in a wasteland and a traumatized drug addict collects a search party to find her
It's strange but I think somehow wild animals are more accepting/ willing to help younger children than adults for some reason. You always hear about children being helped by wild animals such as wolves or lions, but adults usually end up being killed. Very strange.
@@Bongobongobongobongo as an adult the animals know you should know better than to be in the situation you are kids they just see as like damnit okay I'll take you in
One under-mentioned thing about cases that fit the Missing 411 criteria - None of the people who are found alive after (mostly kids, from my readings), ever remember details of what happened afterward. The kid is never like, "I went for a walk, but then I couldn't find my way back, so I just kept walking and looking for everyone. I was walking for days, and I was so hungry and scared and cold, and I cried so hard." It's always "Oh, the animals brought me to this place and fed me for a few minutes, then you guys came and found me" or "We were hiding from the ape men and then we fell asleep inside of a log and when we woke up, the little people were looking at us from the bushes and it was really funny" or "I don't know how I got up here. All I remember is walking right here before I saw you". I get that kids can't always process traumatic events, but by the same token not every child is going to react to a situation the same way, so to me it is a bit strange that none of them have ever been able to provide any kind of cogent narrative timeline.
I think sometimes it’s a matter of not being able to comprehend what happened and not being able to explain it. Like one story Mr. Ballen told a guy went camping with his kids (2 & 4) and his brother and he got shot in the head while sleeping and when the brother went to see why the one daughter was crying and not being comforted both the two and for year old kept saying “wet, wet” when they saw their uncle. They were sitting in a pool of their fathers blood. They didn’t have the words or comprehension skills to really be able to say what happened. I think that a lot of kids may just not really understand what is or was happening so they can’t tell us or it’s a lot scarier and creepier than it needs to be because their magic brains fill in the gaps they can’t figure out Edited to say I do also think strange things happen in the woods that don’t have a comprehensible answer so that’s true too as well but imo kids just see the world through story books and sometimes to be able to handle what they’ve been through they make things into fairytales (coming from someone who as a child used maladaptive daydreaming and fantasy books as an escape from childhood trauma and made my life a movie plot line in my head to deal with what I was going through)
not all, I remember reading one about a little girl who remembered the entire time (I think it was 4 days) and said that something like she accidentaly got lost and while roaming the forest she found another girl so she called that other girl and after playing that other girl helped her survive the night, find what to eat and find the way out, she says that it was an imaginary friend but it didnt make sense how an imaginary friend knew survival tricks as what to eat and were to sleep as well as the way out, it was certainly possible that it was an imaginary friend created to cope with the fear of being alone and that the decisions she took were by luck the right ones, by luck she chose the right type of berries to eat and not some that were poisonous, by luck she chose the best places to sleep in which neither cold or predators wouldnt find her, and by luck she found a way out which wasnt easy since she got out by going through the forest a long way and not by going back to the relatively near place she initially where she initially entered, but she was in the forest for like 5 days I think and she was like 4 years old I think

Facts! I can't speak on behalf of losing a person but the first time I brought my English shepherd camping he bolted and my younger English Shepherd chased after him. I nearly had a heart attack running all over calling them, but after what felt like an hour(prob more like 5-15minutes) the little one heard me and came back with big man trailing behind her. I'm not even religious, but thank God my babies came back
@@hoodedk9955 Its a truly sinking feeling in your chest, knowing theres not a magic button to locate or bring someone to you, or in your case your dog. I've also been lost with my dog, and although you arent any less lost, it doesnt feel quite so desperate when you have your sidekick, which also can get you even more lost following your dog. Lol.. There are few situations that feel like that, but it's truly good for people to go through it (getting lost and finding your way), so they understand just how small and insignificant they are, and just how vast and consuming nature is.
@@hoodedk9955 Isnt it interesting though how time changes in those moments? What feels like an hour, might only be a few minutes, time seems to slow to a crawl.
Yes horrific..i grew up going into the woods..took my sons all the time...one day we came across a giant rotting stump and i got closer the whole ground around it was caving in there was what i guess was a giant den or cave it was weird. If one of my sons went to it without me they would have fallen into it.
It's interesting to me how when kids get lost in the woods they always hallucinate being surrounded by animals that never attack them while adults hallucinate other people that they seemingly can't communicate with. I've never seen that reversed
Theres a story he told where a kid goes missing in the woods and says he heard lots of people but he was staying quiet because of the "trolls" or something weird like that
Probably not a hallucination man. So yeah pickle yourself on outta here boy ! 👦 boo hoo 😢 yummy yummy 😋 get on your knees and pull out your favorite candy bar to ease the pain…
Can we just appreciate that Mr. Ballen is the only UA-camr who puts his ads in a great place in-between stories instead of randomly anywhere in his videos.
It’s perfect! And I appreciate it!! Markiplier does it with his ‘3 Scary Games’ series (and maybe others), it’s perfectly timed so the ad doesn’t interrupt the middle of each game. If it’s not done purposely it’s a wonderful accident lol.
Stay on the trail. There is a situation where deep holes(could be mine shaft, abandoned well, or just a big hole) get filled in with branches and leaves over the years. They look like solid ground, but may give way if you step on them and then down you go, swallowed up by the earth. Tree wells are another similar hazard that happen in winter.
No, he has done a great job cherry picking information about cases that are easily explained so he can con people like you out of money to buy his books and movies. The guy is a complete joke in the search and rescue field. He has had seasoned search and rescue professionals get up and leave his talks because he is so ill informed on the subject. All of these cases can be explained by people making mistakes, animal attacks, and other people doing harm on the one missing. It isn’t Bigfoot or UFOs, it is just the fact that the wilderness is a very dangerous place, even for the most experienced outdoorsman, and it also a great place to hide a body.
@@mopar_dude9227 I didn’t say anything about the validity of what someone might ascertain from these stories as people can come up with many explanations, & I understand as many do the possibilities of related animal interaction, hypothermia, head injury, etc. I’m speaking of the wonder that we can appreciate from the unexplained. I’m sure that David Paulides questions & ideas aren’t causing trained Search & Rescue & other related supportive fields to give up or neglect their responsibilities.
@@mopar_dude9227 So he basically picked ones with strange circumstances that have valid explanations but fails to tell you said cases are resolved. His 1st documentary I wasn’t terribly impressed by. Seemed like a guy making wild assumptions about what happened. 2nd documentary “The Hunted” was actually a decent film cause you had actual search and rescue teams and law enforcement giving their experiences about these things. Supposedly David and John here are going to collaborate about certain cases. David made a video about that and came off like a total douche bag. Like he was the morally superior between himself and Mr Ballen. Think David is a bit jealous because Ballen does such a better job at telling stories. He’s gotten to 2 million subs in like 4/6 months.
Honestly ive lived in the woods for over 30 yrs and as much as i love to hike and camp, theres always a little voice in me that is always reminding me to always plan for anything unforseen.
a good tip for hiking/anything in the wild, it sounds hoakey but NEVER disrespect mother nature. I dont care how much youve trained in survival or how well you prepared/packed dont EVER think that you can handle anything. There are 411 cases of career rangers and marines that spent 20+ years hiking the same area of woods who then vanished in it.
@@masterreaper115 i totally agree. Never try to predict, outsmart or play with mother nature. Respect the life who dwell in it and the paths of those before you.
I live in Washington and my childhood friend/neighbor is a missing 411 victim. Was at an outdoor party. Got completely naked except a fanny pack with basic survival gear. Walked into the woods and was never seen again. They found her tracks which randomally just stopped like she flew away. The whole night she was telling people "I can fly" you can look up her case her name is maureen Leianuhea aka anu kelly missing from cougar washington. I still am her neighbor and am reminded of her every day when I drive home and pass her memorial. You should do a video on her
You have to message him directly... to bring it to his attention Sorry to hear about your friend... I can't imagine what the neighborhood and everyone close to her went through

@@MichaelBrandon10 Yeah but nobody in real life thinks like that, only where it's highly likely that they will find someone is where they would go, not some big hill/mountain where they most likely aren't there. Also these are some cases across the entire country not everyplace is like these situations.
@@lethimdohisworkforyou1177 yes, you're right in most cases people go downhill (the path of least resistance) but a lot of times in the case of kids they constantly underestimate the distance they can go as well as the rugged terrain they write off as impossible for them, yet we see it happen. I understand the most logical places being most important to deploy your resources though. Some should be set aside for the most unlikely though. Desperate situations make people do what they normally couldn't
If you read or watch the real 411 stories, sadly only a few children are found alive. The stories are amazing though when the children are found and where they are found.
As a member of the Blackfeet tribe (our reservation is in Northern Montana). I can attest to the beauty of my home state.. and the power it holds. When I was out training for wilderness firefighting, a guy stumbled out of the woods when we were going down a trail. He said he'd been lost in the woods for 3 days, seemed really happy to find us, he tagged along with us as we were heading back at the time. We offered him some water & a MRE. I'll never forget how relieved he sounded when he saw us and came over. This was way out in the woods near Mount Hood, Oregon.

Until days later, the searchers, either many miles away/in a location impossible to reach for the child, they’ll be found 4. They won’t remember anything

So far I have heard three stories from Mr. Ballen where children somehow travel many miles alone ending up in complete solitude claiming that they saw animals near them. This reminds me of my cousin who disappeared at the age of five for three days in a mountain. Everyone searched for him and a man miles away who didn’t know my cousin was missing, found him surrounded by plants with sharp spikes which no child could have been able to get into on his own. People rumored that it was a witch that had taken my cousin and placed him in the center of these plants. I recently asked my cousin (now an adult) what happened and he says he doesn’t remember.
Please make a podcast that’s like an hour long because I listen to these while working as a janitor and I’d love to just hear you talk about the STRANGE DARK AND MYSTERIOUS for hours
Yes, I totally agree! nothing brings people together like the “stories with your friends around the camp fire” vibe MrBallen is so great at giving people through his awesome videos.
I can just see us all around the camp fire while he tells a story. In the morning we all crawl out of the same tent grateful we had him to protect us. haha
Barbara's case is baffling. How can someone just disappear in plain sight? Even if a wild animal grabbed her, she would've let out a scream or yelled out. The only thing that I could think of is the guy she was with, Jim, killed her and was able to pass the polygraph test. If not, she decided to disappear on her own, and start a new life someplace else. Who knows really.
The third story reminds me of a missing persons case which took place in the city. A woman - normal, had a job, house, fiancé etc. - disappeared while heading to the bank. Her car was found in the parking lot, but no sign of her. Her fiancé was being interrogated, her family was suspicious, etc... A *month* later she was found living among the homeless, looking homeless herself. She didn't know who she was, and doctors found evidence of head trauma from around the time she'd disappeared. They'd found some of her blood or DNA on a large rock or broken wall in the bank parking lot she'd disappeared from. They figured she must have been assaulted, hit in the head and that was how she lost all sense of who she was and ended up being homeless. I wonder if that last guy could have endured something similar. And I wonder how many homeless people started out as just regular people who got hit in the head and forgot who they were...
Im still curious who the mystery person was walking around at night barefoot. If it was orville and hed just forgotten his name as a result of head trauma, hed still respond to someone yelling for him and firing off a gun. Unless the accident somehow left him deaf
I love how he talks like he’s speaking to one person, but in reality it’s hundreds of thousands of people! Mrballen you are literally so cool, I aspire to be like you
That poor man in the last story was so obviously hypothermic and in some sort of trance state because of it. He died that night, I'm convinced. He came so close to being rescued.
So I'm watching this with my mom, and for the second story we were so confused as to why the dogs didn't pick up her scent at ALL. Like not even up until the spot where Jim claims she disappeared. To this, my mom said, "What if she never even made it to the hike?"
Also him being very cooperative and taking the polygraph test doesn’t really prove anything to me. Polygraph tests aren’t reliable and if this guy did kill her, there’s a possibility that he could trick the test and pass. It did seem like he was responsible for her disappearance.
Anyssa Chorvat agreed, I don’t like to make assumptions but the fact he was so willing to take a polygraph makes me think he already knew how to manipulate these already unreliable tests.
Poor Orville. He was hyptohermic and that's why he took off his shoes and in his confused state walked off. I believe the searcher who saw him was the last person to see him alive and he could've potentially saved his life had he gone up to him, as Orville definitely died that same night due to exposure.
That's not fair to that searcher. If that person didn't respond to all those physical attempts to get his attention and it was me I wouldn't have chased after him either. It was getting dark and who knows how further ahead he was. They may have been looking for 2 people instead of 1 had he risked it.
@unknownuser8454 what he was saying is that if the searcher who saw his tracks, then saw him, followed and tried catching up to him, that searcher could have potentially been another missing person who needed to be searched for.
@@unknownuser8454 Orville CLEARLY didn't want to go back. What the searcher was supposed to do? Knock him out and carry his body throught the mountains, or follow him who-knows-where through the night and get lost too?

As a veteran in the U.S. Army, who camped many of time when I was younger, it always stuns me when people go camping, hiking or hunting alone, or hike/hunt around dusk. Going out in the wilderness in suboptimal circumstances is setting yourself up for failure (injury or death). I haven't hiked in awhile but if I do, I will have a whistle, a fixed blade camp knife (like an Esee Izula or Mora), a full sized Swiss Army Knife with a saw, knife, a fully charged phone, a map, a compass, trail markers, Bic lighter, firestick, food, water, emergency blanket, and will be dressed appropriately. I would also never hike by myself, not only because I am female, but because its just foolish to risk your life like that.

Its wild how easily you can get turned around. I went hunting with my dad and young son one morning, we had marked the trail to the blind and knew the area well, and even though it was still dark we parked pretty close to where we were hunting, and it was pretty much a straight shot. It was maybe 1000m walk to the blind. The trail we had marked was through the woods, but it wasn't super dense or brushy. Easy woods. We wanted to make it as easy as possible to get to the blind because it was my son's first hunting trip. All of a sudden the marks we had set up were just gone and we were like in a completely foreign area and the brush was suddenly so thick we could hardly walk through. We stopped right there and went back to try to find the last marker, because they were so close together we couldn't have been more than 10 feet from it. Nothing. It was like everything around us was brand freaking new. We ended up in a huge clearing I had never seen trying to make our way back in the dark to our marked trail. My dad was saying how this doesn't make any sense because it looked like a clearing he'd seen pretty far from where we were when he was scouting the place, but it felt like we had only been walking for maybe 800m at that point. After what felt like 15 minutes, but was actually close to an hour, we were in yet another clearing with the sun coming up. We just sat down and I remembered I had dropped a pin on the blind on my Google maps. Duh. I opened it up and we were SO FAR from the blind it was ridiculous. We had actually managed to somehow circle all the way around it and were like a mile away. My main focus had been keeping eyes on my son (having heard enough missing 411 stories) I was physically holding on to his jacket collar, while my dad led us through the briar and impossibly thick trees. At one point, because I had the map on my phone, I went a little bit ahead (maybe 10 feet) with my son and when a turned around my dad was just gone. The sun was up at this point. What the HELL. I called out for him and he was like 30 feet away in the wrong direction. We found the blind and sat there for a while but I'm sure whatever noise we made scared any deer away, so we started back for the truck after about an hour and a half. On the walk back, because the sun was up, kept an eye out for the missing markers so we could replace them so we wouldn't get lost again the next day. My dad figured some teens or something probably moved them as a joke. THEY WERE ALL THERE. Plain as day. We couldn't even find the super dense area we stumbled upon. Just the same easy peasy forest we expected.
This is actually very terrifying to me. I avoid camping and hiking because of this shiz. My Dad was a Hunter's Safety instructor for like 30 years. It happens more than anyone realizes.
THIS HAPPENS ALL THE TIME!!!!! Reading or listening to Missing 411 stories, the most seasoned, experienced people, who've taken all the precautions, are armed, marked trails, carrying plenty of provisions, end up disappearing altogether or found dead months later. Absolutely terrifying! Thank you for keeping your dad and son safe! Your forethought and caution kept all y'all alive.
Pro tip from some one who went use to make a living taking inexperienced people into the wilds and keeping them alive. Give every single person in your group a whistle. The sound carry further, and it's easier to use than screaming. The loud piercing screech of it can also frighten an unsuspecting preditor, or abductor.
Almost all the 411 stories boil down to poor initial search response, possibly lies or incorrect information from single witnesses, or some form of mental issue in suspect. There's like only 1 or 2 of the stories that I've heard are legitimately spooky.

Thomas, YT has become a garbage pile. It's nice to find something not bashing Men, not related to politics, not related to the environment, just a great job telling a creepy set of stories that make you think. I love channels like this.
There IS an explanation for the shoeless man walking away and not reacting. When people suffer from hypothermia, they become completely lost and bewildered. They are 'out of it' and don't react to people talking or yelling at them. You have to literally grab them and pull them back with you to get them to stop walking. This is crucial because they're spiraling down into loss of body functions with the lowering of their core temperature. I saw many survival videos and they always pointed out the 'signs' of hypothermia and one of them is just the person walking and walking and not responding to people 'like they are in a daze'. I figure he walked away and off a cliff somewhere and his remains were eaten by predators.
Yes, and taking shoes off while suffering from hypothermia is called paradoxical disrobing. However, the searcher said the campfire had still been warm when they found it. Seems strange to have been by a fire long enough for it to just barely burn out, then leave the campsite literally minutes before a searcher finds it. Very strange timing.
I would imagine that if that was Orville and he did have hypothermia then he wouldn't get very far. They never found any trace of him though. Although perhaps snowfall just made it too difficult...

Stay out of the national parks. Oh, Jim killed Barbara after he put the moves on her.
Revised list: 1. Never enter the national parks, wilderness, backcountry, woods, hiking trails (based on location, difficulty, and length), and camping grounds unarmed. 2. Never go alone. 3. Always carry a GPS locator beacon. 4. Preferably a SAT phone too. 5. No children 13 or younger. 6. If children must be present, 1 per 2 adults

There’s very few content creators that I can just listen to what they’re saying instead of having to watch the screen. Mr.Ballen is such a good story teller and makes me feel like I’m there.
Every story you’ve told about hunting, hiking, camping etc has taught me to never be an avid hunter, hiker, camper and god forbid if you know the land incredibly well, be going there for years, you’re definitely going to disappear. It seems the people who never hunt, hike or camp seem to be found safe with nothing wrong but if you’re an “avid” any of these, you’re done.
This is by far my fav series not just on this channel but on UA-cam. Easily. It's so fascinatingly horrifying and just peaks my curiosity. Thanks for the quality content Mr. Ballen!!
I think the most intriguing thing about these stories is the dogs following a scent to a spot then it just stops. Like something is able to somehow cover it up or completely remove it...
The last story. He literally was mentally broken. He clearly was suffering from serious hypothermia since he took off his shoes and was walking in the snow. That searcher should have gone up after him. He was within ear shot of a missing person and just....left?? He had to have known it was going to snow and the man WOULD die that night since he wasn't wearing shoes. If he didn't know it was going to snow he HAD to know he couldn't survive another night on the mountain, shoeless. If I was the family I would be absolutely furious. He clearly had hypothermia that first night from walking in the river and not being able to light a fire and continuing to walk the river all the next day. Wow. Im very upset at that searcher. He could have saved his life.
@@WhitneyDahlin although that was probably him, I wouldn’t wanna risk getting lost either. Couple that with the fact that, if the man wasn’t the missing person and someone else who could’ve had something to do with his disappearance, it’s getting dark and a storm is coming. You can think either way, help the man they’re clearly going to die in the cold, or save yourself. Tough decision

well...I read all he's books and i am shocked but I learn a lot too. it was a story for 5 hunters vanish all together. That said, people vanish even as we speak, just like Aiden Blanchard has been missing since February 5/2021 after visiting a boat ramp near his home. Huge search with dogs, police divers, Helicopters, people of the whole city, ...still nothing.
We need more Missing 411. This is the 3rd time I've watched this entire playlist. I've watched every video you've posted, and they are great. I love your cadence whilst story telling. But man these missing 411 cases are so addictive
We have these disappearances in our culture too. I am from the North-east of India and we have the same phenomenon where people just go missing in the forest and are never seen again or are seen miles and miles away and nit remember anything. They traversed huge, rugged, impossible to climb or go through places with ease and no injuries but a few scratches and are always hungry. I've known, I believe all grown-ups in my state know this. In our language, the entities that carry(we say they're carried) these people are called," Khaw Mu," which I believe is some kind of a spirit of the jungle/forest. It feeds those people with berries, larvae, sometimes tree barks, brings them to rivers to drink, carry them through huge/high rock faces, cliffs etc. which they would never be able to go through even with ropes, gears. There is an almost exact similarity between what we experienced in our culture and what these people in the US went through. I believe its the same kind of entities or spirits that does this. Crazy to think that we have similar experiences though far apart in distance, culture and places.
not just missing people stories are cross-cultural. similar descriptions of the same kinds of monsters (like vampires and succubus) can be found world wide, as well as good entities which help people or play tricks on them. I have to believe some of them are true, because there are too many 'co-incidences' for them to be about imaginary beings. people are worldwide, and so are the species they may run into. if's rather fascinating as well as scary.
The last story, the guy was probably suffering from extreme hypothermia. Hypothermia makes you feel hot. He probably removed his shoes to “cool off” and he didn’t respond because it makes you delirious
Ballen tells us stories so detailed and accurately that I can imagine how the story he tells would look like would look like easier than my own English teacher.
the story about Barbara is really sad, its like she never existed and was always just a fake memory in people's heads that knew her. Literally just poofed from existence.
Hear me out on this, but to your point, what if this happens (people disappearing) because a past timeline was changed resulting in some people vanishing from existence? Literally no idea how that could happen, but I’m afraid our world is far stranger than most can imagine. Anyways, just a thought to roll around.

It's strange how the kids are usually found but the adults typically aren't.
Somethings out there we don’t understand
My thoughts exactly :/
It's strange but I think somehow wild animals are more accepting/ willing to help younger children than adults for some reason. You always hear about children being helped by wild animals such as wolves or lions, but adults usually end up being killed. Very strange.
@@Bongobongobongobongo as an adult the animals know you should know better than to be in the situation you are kids they just see as like damnit okay I'll take you in
@@Bongobongobongobongo Actually they will eat human children, there are no rules in nature. It eat or get eaten.
I get that kids can't always process traumatic events, but by the same token not every child is going to react to a situation the same way, so to me it is a bit strange that none of them have ever been able to provide any kind of cogent narrative timeline.
my friend says it must be the fae
I think sometimes it’s a matter of not being able to comprehend what happened and not being able to explain it. Like one story Mr. Ballen told a guy went camping with his kids (2 & 4) and his brother and he got shot in the head while sleeping and when the brother went to see why the one daughter was crying and not being comforted both the two and for year old kept saying “wet, wet” when they saw their uncle. They were sitting in a pool of their fathers blood. They didn’t have the words or comprehension skills to really be able to say what happened. I think that a lot of kids may just not really understand what is or was happening so they can’t tell us or it’s a lot scarier and creepier than it needs to be because their magic brains fill in the gaps they can’t figure out
Edited to say I do also think strange things happen in the woods that don’t have a comprehensible answer so that’s true too as well but imo kids just see the world through story books and sometimes to be able to handle what they’ve been through they make things into fairytales (coming from someone who as a child used maladaptive daydreaming and fantasy books as an escape from childhood trauma and made my life a movie plot line in my head to deal with what I was going through)
not all, I remember reading one about a little girl who remembered the entire time (I think it was 4 days) and said that something like she accidentaly got lost and while roaming the forest she found another girl so she called that other girl and after playing that other girl helped her survive the night, find what to eat and find the way out, she says that it was an imaginary friend but it didnt make sense how an imaginary friend knew survival tricks as what to eat and were to sleep as well as the way out, it was certainly possible that it was an imaginary friend created to cope with the fear of being alone and that the decisions she took were by luck the right ones, by luck she chose the right type of berries to eat and not some that were poisonous, by luck she chose the best places to sleep in which neither cold or predators wouldnt find her, and by luck she found a way out which wasnt easy since she got out by going through the forest a long way and not by going back to the relatively near place she initially where she initially entered, but she was in the forest for like 5 days I think and she was like 4 years old I think
Or all of this stories are simply fake and where made to amuse us

Kudos to David Paulides. He’s done a brilliant job of gathering these stories & fuelling our curiosity for these mysterious cases.
Excellent point
Im still curious who the mystery person was walking around at night barefoot. If it was orville and hed just forgotten his name as a result of head trauma, hed still respond to someone yelling for him and firing off a gun. Unless the accident somehow left him deaf
Taking clothes off is usually a sign of hypothermia but he had just made a fire. Seems like whoever it was was trying to avoid detection.
That sounds very similar to Mr. Ballens "Emily Upp" Story.

So I'm watching this with my mom, and for the second story we were so confused as to why the dogs didn't pick up her scent at ALL. Like not even up until the spot where Jim claims she disappeared.
To this, my mom said, "What if she never even made it to the hike?"
Yes, I've read some comments that are coming to this conclusion as well, I concur.......

That's what I think happend too.

🤣🤣🤣🤣 that makes two of us. I've been watching no less than 5 -10 of his videos a day 😄. He has soo many I always find one I didn't see and then the binge watching begins 😅.
That is a nightmare. You should contact David and John about it. Thanks for sharing. Your story is so interesting.

I think that your style of story telling proves there's a difference between disseminating information and making it captivating

Or the dogs aren't reliable for some reason
@@WhitneyDahlin although that was probably him, I wouldn’t wanna risk getting lost either. Maybe they made him disappear
well...I read all he's books and i am shocked but I learn a lot too. it was a story for 5 hunters vanish all together. That said, people vanish even as we speak, just like Aiden Blanchard has been missing since February 5/2021 after visiting a boat ramp near his home. Huge search with dogs, police divers, Helicopters, people of the whole city, ...still nothing.
The shoeless man was Orville ghost leading to his body. That's why he didn't flinch at gunshota
Thanks for weighing in. I think stories like this from all over the world wouldn't be remiss. Not everything is about the U.S.! ...from Canada
not just missing people stories are cross-cultural. similar descriptions of the same kinds of monsters (like vampires and succubus) can be found world wide, as well as good entities which help people or play tricks on them.
Wonder if the friends ever confirmed that it was his boots near the fire 🤔

Before giving life advice too total strangers you know nothing about while flexing your superior intelligence because you watch "magnesium chemical adaption videos", it's critical you fix the following mistakes....
Your watch history is full of Mr Ballen videos, your comment history is all Mr Ballen videos, there is not one title on UA-cam related to "magnesium chemical adaption", did you mean 'adaptation'?
Get over yourself, you're not as superior as you think.
What more could you ask for. He's the whole package, when it comes to storytelling. U ROCK MAN!
When I was about 9 years old we went to visit my aunt in Maryland. I got bored and was running around, ran into the wood line, got turned around and popped up about 30 mins later over 2 miles away. My parents were floored about how I ended up so far so quickly before anyone noticed I had disapeared. I just remember running for almost all of that.
I’m a fan of the normal, light, and obvious delivered in a sing song voice
I love this comment... This is me as well, but I keep turning to Mr Ballen like an addict
watch a sitcom..lol
Lmfaoo if ballen does a musical episode ima die
Lol a very underrated comment
Check out That Chapter Mikey sings a beautiful song theertey tree times brighter
I had a cousin who vanished in the wilderness. They NEVER found him. My family said one min he was there helping pick up sticks next minute he was just gone. The family searched for years other people helped for about 2 weeks. To this day family does not know what happened to him.
Sorry for your loss.
That sucks!!! When its a kid - FR I go in the woods w my kids (quite a bit) - Never let a single one outta my sight, i dont let them play by the tree lines (if were by the water or something) - just how ya gotta be
I had a niece and nephew who got lost in the woods and was abducted by a crazy old lady who I guess was on the adrenochrome tip luckily my nephew was calm and didn't panic and left a trail of bread crumbs and ended up pushing the old hag in her oven and they escaped with there life's
@@charliehustle9726 lol sounds like a story I heard growing up but on a real note tho, I’m happy they’re safe

What’s scary is how many of these kidnappers and killers who haven’t been caught, have sat and watched similar videos/docs of their victims.

David Paulides is a fascinating person - everyone who checks out a video on missing 411 cases should certainly check his channel out after.
CanAm Missing Project ✔
Paulides ignores a lot of pedestrian facets to disappearances to make sure every case fits his Big Spooky conclusions, however. He's fun, not as much fun as Mr. Ballen, but just be aware.
@@oliviatree please elaborate on David Paulides "ignoring many pedestrian facets of the investigation".
Does anyone else who watches David’s videos have a broken heart for him losing his son? My heart hurts for him still and I think of him and Ben often. What a bond they had. How strong of David to continue on so soon after his tragic loss.... blessings and prayers to the paulides family, losing a child is hard enough losing one to suicide is absolutely unbearable 💔
@@gm2353 he's not about embellishments that really gives the feelings of being there. He also doesn't have voice intonation and hand gestures. That being said his site and stories are fantastic.
Holy tap dancing kitty cats you are amazing at telling stories. Definitely my favourite channel on youtube.
I can't even imagine how much work you put into your content.
I've heard others telling some of the same stories you have told, and they never put in as much detail as you do.
Thanks for all your hard work!
The only story teller I listen to on YT. Take note fellow storytellers, you do not need the fake voice, over dramatic talk, dramatic background music and crazy countdown effects. It is amazing the results you will get if you be yourself, dont over exaggerate everything, no crazy graphics and music...Just tell a good story.
I think Bailey Sarian is a close second
@@411mysteries yeah I like Bailey too, as well as Bella fiori. Came across mrballen and definitely think he keeps it the most interesting though
@@lindabalinda7887 I agree I like Bailey's storytelling but Mr Ballen is no.1 he has a real gift for storytelling like Mike said you don't need overly dramatic voices and music.
True, except these stories are all exaggerated, embellished, and sensationalized. MrBallen has taken extensive “Creative licence” everytime too. There is no way he could know what a person was thinking about with the mundane details. This is fine though, as he is a story teller and not a historian.
I still appreciate stories told in first person as well tho. So I definitely don't "only" listen to him, but he's by far my favourite
I appreciate that you, unlike other channels, give due credit to Missing 411 and David Paulides. It made me an instant fan.
