I don't buy his stories at all. Sounded fishy from the beginning but when he said that his younger brother tried to slit the baby brother's throat because the latter wouldn't stop screaming, I knew it was all BS. Then I read a little bit about the case, apparently the parents didn't allow Gavin to see his girlfriend and because of that she egged him on to kill them. That's much more likely, there have been other murders done by teenagers with similar motives.
Thank you for telling us more about this case. I see this cold blooded psychopath is lying about alot. HE cut the poor 3 year old neck AND shot him. No one else. What a m0nster he is honestly.
Killing his family is horrible but basically spitting their graves is pitiful. Saying his brother was going to cut his other brother's neck? What a lying POS
I know. I never understand when you’re reading the comments on these videos and they’re like, “omg he’s not even crying”. Of course he’s not. He clearly has issues. He just k*lled his entire family.
I agree 💯 he was born this way. I don't think Dan did anything to him. I think he was jealous that his mom got married and he felt like the last one. He has severe mental illness 🤒
When my kids were 16, I still would not allow them to play these crazy video games, especially Call Of Duty. My ex lived with us at the time and insisted they play these games and I felt sick to my stomach when I was at work because he was home with them during the summer and thank God my daughter who was almost 4 years older than her brother would call me and tell me he was playing HALO with them. I eventually left him. I wouldn't even let them play that other crazy video game where they kill woman and curse. I didn't shelter my kids but I knew enough that they were at a very important age and they had to be schooled on what was too much for them. I believe this kid has major jealousy issues because his mom has 2 more kids and got married and he felt like he wasn't loved but I also believe he is severely mentally ill, not evil. None of it makes sense 😢😢😢😢
@lydibug51 All the psychiatric research on this topic, and I mean ALL of it, shows zero connection. Video games are just so incredibly popular that there are bound to be a few nutjobs mixed in the bunch, like anything else. I'm sure you could find killers who love game of thrones, or dogs, or who drink water. You see?
I think the disturbing part of this is that he looks like he could be anyone’s brother or sibling. I don’t really see any red flags in this interview so the scary part is that we truly never know what people are going through looking from the outside in. Mental health matters. ❤
Found guilty in 2022, sentenced early 2023. He got life in prison for three counts of first degree murder, 40 years for second degree murder and 10 years on a firearms charge. He's eligible to see a parole board after 15 years for the life sentence because he was a minor, but it's unlikely it will be granted. Even if it is, his sentences are consecutive so he'd still have to serve the 40 + 10 years.
Upon learning that "some" of his family is deceased...he doesn't show any shock nor interest in who are the ones that are dead. If he were innocent, he'd at least be interested in the 3 yr old given his disdain for the others.
After hearing a little longer his testimony. I have the hunch that he in part is saying the truth about his step dad. I hate when mothers are not protectors of their children. Some women just bring any men to the house to live with their children. I say it cuz I know a handfull. Mother should be mother first instead of woman. Same for fathers. There are evil step mothers too.
I dated one man after my divorce for four years. He broke up with me, never said goodbye to my son- never said a word to him after being a father figure to my son. I didn’t date again until my son was 21. I wasn’t about to let a man hurt him again.
@@FMT2003I’m in the same boat. Haha. My sons 15 and I haven’t dated in over 10 years. I refuse to have men in and out of his life. His dads lack of involvement is enough. I enjoy being single and being a single mom specifically. I know I’m raising an awesome kid and the biggest thing, he’s safe.
His speech impediment - reminds me of the Turpin children. That’s pure neglect from an early age. 💔 I follow The Mwitis channel, and their bilingual two-year old shows what’s possible when teaching language to babies and infants. It’s incredible. And with language, intelligence is built. 💡
It could also be the result of a cleft palate. My little brother use to talk like this as a kid but my parents took him to daily speech therapy. I think you’re probably right however.
He does not have a language problem. He has a problem with the articulation of sounds, such as/r/ and /th/. He also tends to drop some of the sounds at the ends of words.

If you watched the interview he said he had to take care of the baby from when he came home from the hospital. Feeding and changing diapers. The baby called him daddy. So if he started caring for him at 13 years old. Resentment and anger even though it wasn’t the baby’s fault.
He is definitely lying about what happened. However I do believe some of what he said his home life was like. This kid is so clearly desperate for approval, a little kindness, and a listening ear. There is something up with this kid that was completely ignored or neglected or overlooked. No excuse for what he did, obviously. I do think though that many of these types of scenarios could be prevented.
He lies so much, it's impossible to know if there's any truth at all to his allegations. From what i read, he killed them because they didn't want him seeing his girlfriend.
That’s what I was thinking the whole time. He probably just wants an excuse for his actions. I believe that he grew up in a toxic household, but he is definitely exaggerate about the sucking and stuff like that.
If what he is saying isn't true then why would he make up a story about giving his step dad some top? Straight guys wouldn't admit to that if it wasn't true
It's clear this young man knows right from wrong. He's even polite to the police officers. I can't imagine what he went through and if what he says about his step Dad is true .. then .. That's just tragic. I just dont understand killing his 11 - and 3 year old brothers. He's 15 and hes probably never going to see the light of day again. No happy ending in this story.

@@rhondabrowder1875That’s the only thing you could come up with?? I hope you’re not serious bc that’s troublesome. I doubt they left the care of the 3 year old with this scum but of course the people in the house will never get to share what happened because he murdered them.

This interview is perhaps the saddest thing I have witnessed in a very long time. I go online every day and listen to trials. I would love to have been a lawyer, but teaching was my call but I think about this young man and I realize that he’s got some needs. What kind of needs this Rebecca have because wow that’s a very very scary scenario. He has but the same time, so sad about what he’s done. I think he needs mental help not a prison. He’s a 15 or 16 year-old boy and he shares it with a baby. Somethings wrong there. Thank you officers for your kind and gentle approach to this young man 😢
Agree its very sad..he said the Baby called him Daddy.. He took care of it. And now talking about he was only one caring for Dog. Would like to hear rest of court etc. So many life's lost in one family. Grandpa and great grandpa.. Alive but....
How did he get 3 counts of 1st degree murder and 1 count of second degree murder. Huh? He shot all 4. Maybe the stepdad was abusive so they gave him 2nd degree for killing step dad.
Wait he shot the mom too? I watched the first half of this before work this morning. Maybe I missed that..or just forget?I thought just the dad and brothers for some reason...
I know. I don’t get it. Most states would not allow a kid this age to be interrogated without at least a child advocate being present. What state is this?
If I had to randomly guess what led up based on only these facts..... Mom met Dan in 2016, he was great for 10 minutes but she hated him by the time she found out she was pregnant with Jamison. She already had 2 baby's dads & they both sucked, so she tried to make it work. She married him in 2019 because it wasn't *awful* so she ignored that Dan isn't bothering with her other sons, the way she would if she hadn't gotten pregnant right away. Her depression made her kind of a zombie & unattached to her sons, but they see her taking an interest in the baby (overlooking that a 3yo is big for mom to keep trapped in a crib when he wakes up) & that jerk she married. Jealousy & betrayal felt even worse when they tried to parent him like they actually had a right. He'd blame it all on Dan & everyone would pity him, but he was done sharing attention with the other 2 brothers. It's a guess, please remain calm.

He was apparently still too damaged and wasn’t yet able to aspire to and take on that role at that point in time. He probably didn’t have role models around him to show him a better way forward. He wasn’t at that point in his development. But maybe in the future he will be better.

He murdered his entire family! He was flat lying to try to get out of it and at times to justify. He knew exactly what he was doing. Then I read a little bit about the case, apparently the parents didn't allow Gavin to see his girlfriend and because of that she egged him on to kill them. That's much more likely, there have been other murders done by teenagers with similar motives.

He's eligible to see a parole board after 15 years for the life sentence because he was a minor, but it's unlikely it will be granted. Even if it is, his sentences are consecutive so he'd still have to serve the 40 + 10 years.

Yea, ok. Don't believe a word he's saying. Evil.
He is definitely lying about what happened. However I do believe some of what he said his home life was like. This kid is so clearly desperate for approval, a little kindness, and a listening ear.
