Daria needs a weekly spot 👍😄
Awesome idea!
Yeah
@Paul Walster 😂
a trick: watch series at Flixzone. I've been using them for watching lots of of movies these days.
@@ViziaFilms I was looking for that comment 😂
More from Daria Please Casey! Superb!
Color Management doesn't look that scary anymore. 😃🤙💯Thank you guys, great episode.
Wow Daria is amazing.. Very smart girl!!! i learned a ton from both videos .. thanks J
Daria was my first Davinci Resolve's teacher! She is great! Thanks Casey!
Me too - the Goats Eye View channel?
@@horizonimages yes!
This video is amazing. The amount of work BMD put into Resolve, from version to version, is crazy.
That was about 20x more valuable than I imagined. Thanks!
Goat’s Eye View from Daria was the best Resolve YT course ever! Please update it someday Daria 😊
It was seriously the best practical follow along manual when it came to Resolve few editions ago.
Seriously hope she updates for the new ones.
Goat's Eye was so important, where it all started for me. thanks Daria.
Yes, more Goats Daria! You are the best 💗
I didnt know that was her! Love that youtube channel, such awesome tips and tricks!
That channel is my go to every time I need some Resolve advice. Very much in the old style of video training where it was about teaching not anything else completely summed up by her opening line of ‘Hello and let’s get into it’
Daria is amazing and communicates these complex subjects very well.
I'm not going back to a few of the short films I've graded and I'm going to try out this new color space. I'm really excited to try it out now that I understand it better. Thanks Casey for doing this interview.
Thank you Daria, you are so smart and talented. I am a huge fan of your content. I was hooked after watching just one Goat's Eyeview video several years ago. Please post more content. I would even pay if you put out a courses on this topic.
Yep, me too.
Thank you for this precious interview with Daria, we missed her tutorials a lot. Greetings.
Excellent video. One of your best. Daria Fissoun is a tremendous resource! More videos with her...
best color correction / management video i’ve seen on YT, full stop. thanks!!
Thanks Daria and Casey
The amount of stuff I learned in this video and the previous is crazy. I love it. Thanks Daria, and Casey as always.
Daria is a color grading GOAT! I first watched her resolve 15 tutorials
Thank you Daria - and Casey - It makes working with DaVinci much more rewarding to understand it's true capabilities. I vote for more such presentations too!
Even if I don't do this professionally (it's just a hobby that exposes me to technology, science and art), these tips are going to save me sooo much time. DaVinci is a beast, and I want to learn more!
man, these interviews are GOLD. thank you very much 🥺
Finally a video on YT that goes under the hood in Resolve (properly). Thank you both for this invaluable information.
This is great Casey, and with a more than crystal clear Daria this just screams for more episodes, thanks so much you both!
Excuse me while my brain explodes. Thank you, Daria -- very awesome of you. And good on you Casey -- looking forward to your take on unpacking the workflow for us mere mortals. I see that this is something that can help me on my little personal projects (canon 90D and GoPros during family vacations, that sort of thing). Again, most excellent!
Excellent! This was by far the most intuitive explanation of Resolve's color management. Thanks Casey and Daria!
took Daria's 3 color resolve tutorial twice and learned so much. She is great. A big fan. Good to see her. Looking forward to watching this.
I've watched a bunch of tutorials and explanations about color management over the past week or so as I try to level-up my color grading . . . and I wish I'd started with this. It just made the concepts click into place.
Goats Eye View gave me the confidence to dive into resolve, study colour theory and eventually led to getting my first commercial jobs grading - can't thank you enough for that Daria! Casey - similarly your channel has been very inspiring and informative, great to see you both here and I'll be taking notes on this video for sure!
Been a big fan of Daria for a long time. Thanks Daria.
Nice. Casey Faris was asking questions exactly at those points when they came up in my mind. A 100% fit for me.
Man, I'm two years behind, but this is the greatest video ever. I've been deep-diving all these color management videos, and this is really the one that explains things on a fundamental level the best. By far. Thank you both so much
Good questions and amazing answers. Daria is so knowledgeable and clear in her presentations. Lots of USEABLE info in this. Well worth the time. Thank you Casey and Daria!
Absolutely brilliant. A breath of fresh air.
Wow that was even more valuable than I hoped. Daria is fantastic. Super informed and knows how to get the info across. Thank you for this.
Thank you Daria. God bless you. Nice to have you again. Enjoyed every minute. Thank you Casey for having Daria. Wish more of these informative episodes. 🌹😍🌹
Thanks for the great presentation and to Daria for sharing her professional knowledge with us.
I love Daria. She does such an amazing job of explaining everything. I've 1000s+ hours of color grading tutorials, taken classes online, and in-person classes and she does the best job IMO.
OMG - I love you!!! I've spent weeks experimenting with this stuff and BAM!!! What a great educational conversation. THANK YOU!!!
This is amazing. She has a talent for communicating complex ideas for newbies like me.
Thank you Daria, appreciate your knowledge in Resolve. Have always been impressed. Looking forward to your Book.
Thanks for the short but insightful dive into the color management Daria, very helpful!
Wow, Daria knows this stuff cold. Very impressive.
This is the information needed to have confidence in playing with colors. Daria and Casey; you guys are the best. just waiting for Goat's eye view to update us more on the color page in DR 17. THANK YOU SO MUCH
Thank you Daria Fissoun and Casey Faris for the adventure into the color of colors. Expecting more and more in near future.
This might be the single most informative Resolve tutorial in existence. ❤
Daria is the best! Thanks for sharing your knowledge!
Terrific from Daria. Pro level, layman’s terms and everything in between 🤙🏼
Dear Mr Faris :) I have to sincerely thank you for this episode. It's the first time that I have properly understood this sh*t! and I feel illuminated. Also really bliddy great to see Daria here. She's amazing and such a good teacher. Merci.
Thanks Daria. Very good introduction in CM. I really hope for more tutorials with Daria an the Screen.
Daria, thank you for such clear and precise wording when describing this, a real pro.
Thanks for showing us that hidden feature for making curves and qualifier color space aware.
I can't tell you how welcome this is as LUTs really only work for a camera in a lighting condition in a program whereas colour management is the much, much root of it.
Absolutely love Daria! Thank you for this video!
This is an AMAZING INTERVIEW. Thank you Daria and Casey !!!
Thanks Casey for bringing Daria on! Daria thank you for your willingness to share your knowledge. We definitely want more :-)
oh man, Casey and Daria, this is so so so helpful. very nice video, wonderful questions and answers. very nice overview. love it!
Very well done. Darius explained a lot in a short space of time, and clearly as well.
this is so good. Rewatched it several times and it just gets better.
This video is extremely important! Thanks Daria!
Fabulous, thank you Daria and Casey!
Will have to re watch this again, but incredible information. This channel is become my go to space for Resolve information. Thank you Casey
I adore this woman, her 2hr colour grading tutorial at blackmagic and goats eye have been the two best tools to help me learn, closely followed by Casey of course!
Thank You so much Daria & Casey for bringing this great piece of information to us :)
Thank you Daria and Casey. Excellent information.
unbelievable ... just one big WOW! i can not Believe the power and scope of this software. thank you Casey! and i see she really Did write the book...LOL Thank you Daria!!!
This was super interesting. Thank you Daria for all the tips! I always film in BRaw so I wasn't sure of using color managed or doing everything from scratch! Thanks Casey
Holy smokes, Casey, thank you for a most interesting and entertaining discussion. Really helpful for clueless video beginners like yours truly.
finally color management in Davinci 17 explained in the way it's understandable and you can apply it in your work. Thanks a lot!
Great great channel! Thanks for all your effort!
Wow! Epic knowledge bomb video, just what I needed to know. Thank you Daria & Casey!
More tutorials Daria! Please! Relevant questions. Thx Casey!
congrats! this is the only video on this subject i found which is actually 'accurate' or at least going into fine detail enough to highlight both, the potential applications and issues with it. most still do not understand why there are shifts in color/gamma after export on different devices...most do not understand metadata. this is the video i always recommend to watch...and then read her book :D
this is the best color management explanation I've ever seen and you asked the perfect questions
Alright, let's get to it with Casey!
Thanks Daria and Casey, absolutely loved the video 👌
Stunning! That is professional advice. Thank you very much.
Very very useful information.
Well explained, and Goat's Eye View is still my favorite place for quick tips. Hope Daria will make some new ones in the same style.
Thanks from Terje
Great presentation you two. Kudos, and thank you! Cheers!
Amazing interview, appreciate a lot what you guys deliver here. Changed my workflow immediatley.
Thank you both. This is a much needed overview of RCM.
I've been on Daria since Goat's Eye View.
Still owe her a box of Belgian chocolate.
Kudos on her journey 🙏
Thank you Daria! Color Managed is really great. Now I will try to do a lot more work using the HDR pallet. It seems really amazing!
Loved it. Daria is amazing. Thanks for this!
You best post, Casey! (and now I'm in love with Daria!) :)
Daria is the Neil deGrasse Tyson of the Resolve Color Page 😎
I still refer back to Goat's Eye View at times.
THanKS so much for sharing with us Daria!
And thank you as always Casey!!
This is one of the truest statements on the internet,
Thank you Daria.....Thank you Casey.... That was great input....
Awesome ! Thank you both for this video.
Thanks folks! Been craving exactly this explanation of Color Management in DR17. Huge timesaver as well as better workflow to multiple outputs.
Thankyou Daria and Casey. Brilliant.
Fantastic and refreshing! A long, long over due video! There are a million videos on UA-cam about Grading/Colour Correcting but NOT ENOUGH videos about the colour management 'workflow.' In fact it is crazy how few videos there are on this VERY IMPORTANT part of the day to day video editing workflow. It would be great to see Daria do a professional video explaining a standard, usable workflow for Davinci Resolve (all versions, not just DR17) addressing the best workflow from START (importing shot media) to FINISH (delivering for Cinema or WEB) all in one video! That currently doe snot exist on UA-cam and I'd love to see it! Such an important video workflow film does not seem to exist on UA-cam for some insane reason?!? Is it because Colour Management is such a dark, complex art? As I said there are millions of videos about colour correcting and grading footage but NOT ENOUGH COLOR MANAGEMENT WORKFLOW videos. Hopefully we will see more.
Thanks, Casey and Daria! Awesome tutorial!!
Casey this is like GOLD willing to watch more like this
Thank You Daria! Just came out of a longer hard grading project and wish I had have seen this before. It cleared a few questions I had about that second time using davinci color management .
This has been enlightening, thank you Casey and Daria! )
Oh wow, at 7:22 that’s footage that I shot. Trips me out to see it used in these demos. This is very informative, as always Casey, thanks!
Thanks Daria and Casey! I think I need to listen over that a few times and research a lot more to make sense of what just happened then
Thank you again, Daria!!!
Bring her back on the channel man 🔥 can’t wait for part 2
Awesome video, thank you so much Daria and Casey! This together with your video on the HDR wheels gave me so much insight. I only did a quick test with some BM raw material, but I could already see this will make my workflow a lot faster and the result better. : )
Best tutorial on Color Management, hands down :)
Gosh this woman is good! She knows her stuff!
simply brilliant, thanks so much!
Thanks so much for this video, Daria and Casey! I've been watching a brazzillion UA-cam tutes on this stuff, and everyone it seems has a different take. I'm a beginner with only the freebie version of Resolve, so I can't use 10-bit and I'm stuck with 8-bit V-log out of my S1 for now. Even so, when I selected the Davinci Wide Gamut intermediate in the project manager settings, then changed input gamut to V-log- BAM! 80-90% job done- freaking awesome. Thanks a million, guys!
