- Important! Installation got a lot easier! Follow installation tutorial below.
I spent some time getting the Thrustmaster BT LED display to work with my PC.
Works with:
F1 2019, F1 2020, F1 2021
Assetto Corsa, Assetto Corsa Competizione
iRacing
Dirt 3, Dirt 4, Dirt Rally, Dirt Rally 2
Project Cars 2, Project Cars 3, Automobilista 2
Forza Motorsport 7, Forza Horizon 4
rFactor2
Raceroom
Euro Truck Simulator 2, American Truck Simulator
Requirements, code and documentation:
github.com/mpl...
Installation tutorial:
1. Install alternate USB driver as described in the video
2. Download and unzip application folder: github.com/mpl...
3. Run "setup.bat" and pair the device when told to do so.
4. If Step 3 was successful, start the application with "run.bat" and launch a supported game.
took some work to get working and Markus was very helpful= donation made!
Advice to noobs- read all the instructions he has listed, additionally my comments as follows:
1. make sure you buy a compatible BT adapter. You need to replace the drivers using Zadig before running setup.bat
2. make sure you install the right version of nodejs. For me, I had to uninstall and reinstall (the 64 bit version) and all worked. The wrong version had given me an error like...usb_bindings.node is not a valid Win32 application. So that indicated I was running the 32 bit version in error
3. make sure to do whatever you need to do to enable UDP on your game, otherwise the BT LED won't get the data
Thanks for the donation. Glad to hear everything works now.
Thank you SO MUCH! Working perfect! Brilliant work.
I just managed to create the dump, brutal work, thanks for everything !!!!
Hi, I ask for your help. I follow the tutorial but the end result is an error. I purchased the CSR 10 pen like the one in the video but I can't do anything. thank you for any help thanks
Does it show an error message?
Make no sense that they wouldn't release the patch so we can just use it
It's probably a licensing issue with sony
ASUS USB-BT211, not compatible (VID 0CF3, PID 3002).
Generic Bluetooth Adapter Dongle, not compatible (VID 0E5E, PID 6622).
Hello !!! Very cool thing you came up with. I bought by mistake BT LED DISPLAY for PC not knowing that it is only for PS 4. Everything connected and worked in ACC, but periodically there are hard freezes with a PC restart. Is it possible to solve this somehow? Or still have to sell the device?
Glad to hear it is of some use for you. Hard freezes of the whole PC are usually not caused by my tool. This seems to be some kind of hardware/driver incompatibility. Have you tried another usb bluetooth stick (with chipset CSR 8510 A10)? Also try run_compat.bat as this puts a little less stress on the device.
I tried again the WinUSB driver (v6.1.7600.16385) Everything started up on it. No crashes found in app 3.1.5 Everything is cool 👍👍👍
Is this still working for the current year of games like Forza Motorsport 8, F1 2023 etc? Based on this, I will get a used BT Led display.
F1 2023 should work. Otherwise you can switch to an older UDP data format. Forza Motorsport 7 is supported, so I guess FM8 works too, but I have no chance to check it. Working mode for certain games can be forced if my tool doesn't auto detect the running game. For FM7,8 etc. run "forza.bat" for example.
sorry last thing , is possible to use with f1 22 ?
works fine on forza 5 and assetto corsa
but dont work on f1 22
It should. Try f1.bat and switch udp data format to 2020/2021
@@mplutka ok will try when I get home 😎
dirt 3 working for me but no lights ,telemetry display only no rev lights
is that normal ?
No, they should work but havent tested it myself for a long time. Might be a bug.
@@mplutka ok
Thanks a lot for the hard work!! Im willing to do donation but unfortunately it runs unstable on my PC with iRacing :(
The TM BT LED randomly stops working mid game, sometimes its within 2min other times its after 10min, i can hear the Windows sound like when an usb device is disconnected .
I've purchased the CSR8510 A10 BT dongle and did the driver swap to WinUSB V6.1 using Zadig
What i've tried so far:
1. Reinstall driver
2. Swapping USB ports, both 2.0 and 3.0(removing other USB devices as well)
3. Run_compat.bat with every interval setting
4. iracing.bat
5. run.bat
nothing works :( it still randomly stops working mid game.
Im out of options, i really hope you have an idea whats going on.
Unfortunately it seems that you tried everything I could suggest. Maybe use older versions of Zadig or another USB stick from a different brand. Other than that, I have no idea. Sorry :-(
please help me get this working on my pc
i just bought one , not knowing it was an issue to use with pc
spent my last bit of cash on it too

buy CSR 8510 A10 @mplutka please help
If you connect btled after running setup.bat, the setup.bat window disappears. Can you tell me why?
Please run setup.bat in a cmd window to see if it throws any errors
Hi Markus, could you help me? I've bought 3 BT dongles, 2 of them are CSR8510 based, and one is 5.0. One of the CSR8510s throws me an error after running setup.bat (like it did for Ruud Denis in the comments below). But when I tried other two dongles, after running setup.bat (everything in cmd) nothing happens, just an empty line below running it (I tried CTRL+C and repeating but nothing happened also).
That sounds like a tough one. Could you send me the ViD and Pid of the 5.0 one? I‘ll try to make it compatible and let you know when I got an update out. You installed the alternate drivers with zadig?
Sometimes pulling out and plugging in the stick again does the trick too.
Hi, 5.0 is also 0A12 0001 (it's only printed V5.0 on the stick, maybe a fake one). I tried it again with all 3 of them, 1st one throws me this: "TypeError: Cannot read property 'on' of undefined". 2nd and 3rd sticks just throw an empty line after running setup.bat and nothing happens ever.
@@deviant662 The 5.0 identifies itself as a CSR, so looks fake indeed. What is vid pid of the other two?
Both of them have print "CSR 4.0" and both IDs are 0A12 0001. They look pretty much the same, the only difference is that one of them throws that error above and second one does nothing after setup.bat.
