I was given mine for Christmas in 1964 when I was seven years old. I still have it. It slayed a heap of squirrels in my younger days. The switch on mine is on the hammer.

Guys, Salvation is so Very Simple
      HalleluYAH translates “Praise ye YaH”
      YaH is The Heavenly Father
YaH arrives via the TENT OF MEETING
YaH was Who they Crucified for our sins
** NO FEMALE INVOLVED WHATSOEVER **
      - Ancient Semitic Cuniform of Moshe (Moses)
      - Hebrew Book of Isaiah (The Original Isaiah)
      Isaiah 42:8
"I am YaH; that is my Name! I will not yield my glory to another or my praise to idols.
      Isaiah 43:11
I, I am YAH, and there is no other Savior but Me.
      Isaiah 45:5
I am YaH, and there is none else.

The tenite was used during WW2 due to the war effort.
In my opinion these are the rare ones. Not many survived.
I have mine locked up real well in my rifle cabinet. I’ll make a video soon. I love that little
    rifle/shotgun.
    Best survival firearm ever made.

Unfortunately it was just a borrow from a fellow creator, I'm on the hunt for one of my own. Absolutely loved it

Yup. I brought mine out just for fun.
I ended up shooting it most of the day. Hahaha. All my other rifles, pistols & shotguns are cool but this old Gal is way more fun. I hope you find one. They’re expensive now. Last one I seen for sale sold for almost 900 bucks.
I’ll make a video next time we go out.
      I can’t wait ………

      Will do. Hopefully soon.
I wanna shoot that old Gal again.
I restored a cool 1950 Mossberg 190 16 gauge bolt action shotgun if you want to see that.
      That’s a cool shotgun.
I didn’t even know that was a thing. Hahahaha.

I have a Savage model 24 which is same gun. Mine is 22mag. Over 410. Made in 62 with wood stock.

Inherited mine from Grandad in around 1958. It has a wood stock, no serial number. I assume it is potentially from the very late ‘30’s or early ‘40’s. It is one awesome piece. Still looks almost new. The color case hardening on the receiver is stunning . My grandson will get it someday.

My father gave me his when I was really young , its the gun i learned to hunt with, I call it stalk n spot, sneak thru woods, find a grouse holding, 22 it, then hopefully catch a flushing buddy with the 410. I think its underrated, Ive take deer, hog, turkey and all small game, Mine loves the 3" with 000buck, five 45 cal balls all at once?? ouch, holds tight pattern to 30 yrds. If i had to take only 1 gun for survival or just had to pick only one, itd be my 24B

I've had mine for over 20 yrs so it's about 75 to 80 yrs old. Originally was sold as a farmers gun as "rat poison" the tennite stocks would break as had where itvslots into the receiver, but there are aftermarket wood stocks available. The selector mou ting screw could break or come loose and then the button could get lost, so loctite it in. The sights are it's weakness, I fitted an aftermarket peep sight that is fully adjustable which is specificity for this old model with a choice of apertures for either the 22 or shotgun. I chose the smaller 22 aperture. This increased the accuracy to 40 yrds. It takes down to 3 parts that i keep in a sling bag. the longest part being the barrel which is 24 inch, hence why Savage rebranded it as the model 24, I'm guessing. My hollow wood stock holds a screwed take down cleaning rod kit, patches and a few spare emergency shells. I fitted a button compass in the pistol grip, which I placed just for a gimmick and a but cuff for ammo storage. as now it's my survival carry along in my vehicle. I carry a selection of 22 and 410 ammo, 3 inch no 6 and 2 1/2 inch OO (3 pellets) and slug. (45 cal) overall it's never failed, and is fun to shoot.

I had no clue these were that old. I knew the Stevens/Savage put it pre mid-50s.
Mine is the Stevens with original wood stock. Got it off an ex's family when her grand dad passed. Ill have to check but i thought there was a serial # on it. Id love to refinish the stock, its been well used and tossed into gun cabinets its whole life n

Savage arms also made these with more combinations; depending on when the merger happened Savage and stevens became same company and marked guns using both names, and still do, in regards to a scope, back then (aim point) I think it was had red dot sights for rifles and shotguns, and on this gun either would of been a good option; slim pickins did magazine ads for these sights

Some older guys fooled me as a kid by switching to the .410 barrel when I was thinking it was going to be just a .22. Their plan backfired on them as I thought it was really cool. Now, I have 4 of those things. 2-.410's and 2-20 ga. Models One 20 ga. Is a .22 LR on top and the other is .22 K-Hornet. Both of the .410's are with .22 LR on top. Great guns!
