Brrrrr …. you and Steve are real troopers. Amazing how the soft glow of a lantern can make you feel safe and cozy. Take care, stay safe and well. Judy🇨🇦🇨🇦
A great film thank you, I really enjoyed this one. Lads out camping in a private woodland, tents, fire and bikes, can’t go wrong. Hope Dickie is on the mend from his illness, best regards Chris. 👍👍👍
Thanks for another great video - love how you always emphasise the benefits, and the appreciation, of being in our real natural environment - woodland! Cheers!
I didn't realise I'd put on so much timber, Sandy, but they say the camera never lies. Maybe I should give the GS a rest and cycle to the woods. Pleasure to have you there. Great company, as always.
Hahaa well camera's can lie but I try to keep mine as honest as I can!!! I left my bungee's and some cordage on the tree's where I camped, I may pop back later maybe next week and collect them! It will be an excuse for a ride on the bike:)
Hi Steve, reckon you've lost some weight, fair play to you ! I trying to do the same. Lovely woodland and always great to see you and Sandy camp out there 👍
Timber? 🤭 Never heard it called timber before. I lost about 17kg by cutting out most carbs and zero sugar… well, occasional indulgence 😏 I’m nowhere near as active as you are so you’d prob lose branches rather than twigs if you cut out the carbs or cut right down anyhow.
Lovely camp Sandy, I agree it's sometimes relaxing to enjoy the basic things of life such as the looking at a camp fire, hearing the rain on a tarp and the smells of the woodland. It's great form of meditation 💦🔥🍁
Well Sandy, this was a treat. Always love going for a ride. The overnight stay was a bonus. You’re very fortunate to be able to do this. Great vid and thanks for sharing. Tony.
I had no idea the Himalayan existed. I haven't ridden a bike for over twenty years and my last bike was a Kawasaki Ninja 600, but I'm feeling the urge again and this looks like an utterley perfect bike for me now that I'm in my fifties. Dear Santa, I've been a very good boy...
The Himalayan 411 has been around for some years now, they have stopped building it and replaced it with the Himalayan 450 which is a better bike in some ways, water cooled motor and more bhp. You can find second hand Himalayans for little money. Some dealers may still have one or two new one's knocking around
Glad to see you got your bike back on the road. I'm with you with keeping the street tires on your bike since that's most of the riding you do. Those knobby tires wear out really quickly on the street and that can get expensive. Looks like a great camp you and Steve had on his wonderful piece of land. You guys sure get a lot of rain that's for sure. Here in Southern California we pretty much read about the rain. Not complaining, just saying. Thanks again Sandy, always enjoy the bike camping the most.
Another excellent camp Sandy, love the large decideious woods down there in england. Im hoping to begin my camping journeys come late spring as a hobby to take my mind off this crazy mad world. Ordered a camera but havent decided whether to go joe public or just share to family and friends privately of my adventures in beautiful nature Atvb G
Super biking and camping trip Sandy!👍🏻 Always an interesting dilemma to resolve for us adventure bikers, especially for those of us that ride primarily on paved/tar roads, dual purpose or knoblies...each with their own pros and cons. What a beautiful piece of nature your friend has👌🏻 Thanks for sharing Sandy!
What a great little camp out, those woods looked very familiar to me..(reading way?) Would love to take my voge rally out next year, after my knee replacement heals of course. As for knobby tyres...just do it!!..i wouldn't fit anything else.
Wonderful camp, so atmospheric. I'd christen the lizard Isaac as I think he was a newt 😀 Also great to see the fly agaric. I ate a shamanic dose about 10 years ago and had a very strange time of it! Not for the faint hearted 😀
That sounds interesting Oscar, I think these shrooms are possibly good for us but I have never tried anything like them before, just eaten the ones that are classed as edible.
Another great camp in some lovely woodland.Your little friend was a smooth newt which is an amphibian and would love that damp woodland and rain fall. They will be thinking about finding somewhere to hibernate soon, although the weather has been very warm lately. Thanks for the video.
How I admire and envy you Sandy , always doing lots of things while I mooch around at home and my triumph chained up in the garage 😅. Enjoy sir you are great
To lift the foot of your Bivvy you could just use a simple Tarp Clip, Sandy. Just clip it where a Guy line would normally attach and rig a Guy line in the normal way. They are dead cheap, usually 4 in a packet.
I absolutely love the woodland wild camps like these Sandy (as I am certain that you know by now:) You just hop on your dependable little Bike Chug, throw in some food and simple camp equipment, and then the masterpiece outdoor experience begins as soon as you leave your driveway. I am so happy that I found your channel here many years ago, I have had so much enjoyment watching them through the years. Thank you so much for that my friend. I am looking forward to seeing you in your next video. Enjoy life!
Thats great to know Terry, a simple woodland camp is something I have been enjoying ever since I started on youtube. I've lost count of the amount of camps I have now had!
Ah, yes; my Dad used to love a Sloe Gin Fizz on camping trips. I'm not sure but I think maybe the most slippery footing for a bike off-road is damp pine needles. I guess I get claustrophobic in a small bivvy; I just end up spinning like a top.
In case I had a few too many I always can say:"I'm blinded by the lantern..." I must remember that one. By the way, that little creature was a salamander. Nice video, Sandy! Greetings to the missus and the four legged
Good to see you out , and on the RE Himalayan. I love that bike. Would the old bad-winter car trick of deflating the tyres a bit and getting better grip on a 'soggy' tread spread do any good on that style of bike. I pretty much know nowt about bikes, decades since I even tried one, so that's one for you to answer. You just watch yourself around that fly agaric. Can't be having you thinking you're driving Santa's sleigh on the way home. That looked a lovely little break amid the trees. Dry, warm, comfy and fed, all with a calming soundtrack ...
This was a really nice video Sandy, in a really nice woodland, and its thanks to Steve for the invite, i was wondering what Steve's set up was ? Those steaks looked yummy , nice you had the little Lizard visitor. I was wondering Sandy have you ever thought about owning a piece of woodland yourself ? Anyway a lovely video again and thank you for sharing 👏👌🏻👋
Thanks Trekon, I didn't film much of Steve's setup but believe it was a Cloud peak tent, I would love a piece of woodland to be a custodian of but I couldn't afford to buy something like that, I shall have to be content with what I have :)
Try using a red head torch light it doesn’t seem to attract the bugs and you can keep your night vision , nice little camp 🏕️ always enjoy your vlogs 🙂👍
Yep, that looked a great camp. Sandy i have the same problems with my himi tyres but i must say the road travel is fine which is mainly what i do so can put up with a little sliding from time to time. At least until i wear out the current ones. Cheers.
I had the bmw gs when it first came out fantastic bike. But I forgot to back off the front shock after a camping holiday and saw off the front tyre in one thousand miles. The new ones look much better than mine.
Hi WM! I’m going to put my tarp up next camp. I’ve had it ages but keep putting off using it as I know it will be a right palaver and total cock up 😂. You make it look so easy.
Do you still use that wee HOVERair X1 drone Sandy? If it could cope with the small overhanging trees, I think it would have been good footage following you on the bike into the woods. 🙂
For what it is Simon it's OK, it was the first of this type of drone to be commercially produced by the DJI Neo which is in the same category of selfie drone is better in every way
And that old friend is the way to do it. When you have a lizard sharing the dry and warmth right next to you at this time of year, you know you're in a good and healthy woodland. With winter fast approaching, I knew that back end would start sliding around. Was that brew you had one of those coffee bags I sent you? If so, I hope you enjoy them! Bacon fried with butter...now that's something I've not tried yet...bet it tasted lovely. And greens from the garden too...now that's healthy. Atb buddy
Hey Sandy, had a. Idea/hack for your bivvy footbox, without sewing etc... maybe make two camping buttons from stones inside the bivvy, wrap cord around them from the outside and suspend from sticks to raise the footbox? That way you could keep them attached to bivvy without piercing/sewing the bivvy.
Now Sandy after consuming a few fare tots of that concoction will you be able to drive the next day ? Presume the answer was Yes and the rain did not dampen your enthusiasm.
I dream of buying some woodland in the next few years, but I don't like the way that these middlemen are ripping people off. I wonder what the best way to contact land owners direct is. I love the idea of hooped bivvys - watching nature whilst you're laying down, warm and snug.
27:55 you forgot to blur out his tag # like you did earlier. wish i had a place like that to head out to camp, but everywhere around here is farm land and private and i dont know anyone that owns any woods.
It looked good fun but I’m not organised well enough to do this. I’d just sleep in my riding gear after drinking a bottle of Wodka and eating the fungi.😊
The CRT doesn’t really work as a charity it still relies on government funding which is reducing by 300 million over the next ten years. The CRT asks canal users other than boaters walkers and cyclists to donate. I just wonder how many of them do🤔 I’m guessing not many, the towpaths are very busy. It seems so much of the canal network is being run down 😟
Good to see you out on your bike, have you finished the work on it ? I do wonder whether we should sell our bikes and get a boat with all this rain😊🚣♂️. Can I ask how you go about finding a woodland to camp in , somewhere away from people that might cause you bother?
Hi Donna, Yes the bike is all good now, even had a new front tyre fitted. As for finding woodland, it's best if you can get permission but in the UK sometimes thats not possible, although its illegal to wild camp I would do so provided the woodland looked unmanaged, if there is sign of game keeper activity I would stay well away!!
Brrrrr …. you and Steve are real troopers. Amazing how the soft glow of a lantern can make you feel safe and cozy. Take care, stay safe and well. Judy🇨🇦🇨🇦
Great video, Sandy. Thanks for taking me along, enjoyed that. Take care and stay safe guys.
A great film thank you, I really enjoyed this one.

Hi Steve, reckon you've lost some weight, fair play to you !
I trying to do the same.
Lovely woodland and always great to see you and Sandy camp out there 👍
Mitas EO7's are brilliant tyres, Sandy. It's probably a 50/50 tyre but excellent on the road, too.
Timber? 🤭 Never heard it called timber before. I lost about 17kg by cutting out most carbs and zero sugar… well, occasional indulgence 😏 I’m nowhere near as active as you are so you’d prob lose branches rather than twigs if you cut out the carbs or cut right down anyhow.
Thanks, Sandy. Steve's woodland is a beauty.
Its got a nice ancient feel to it Brian
Enjoyed watching 👍🏻
Lovely camp Sandy, I agree it's sometimes relaxing to enjoy the basic things of life such as the looking at a camp fire, hearing the rain on a tarp and the smells of the woodland. It's great form of meditation 💦🔥🍁
Great camp, Sandy! Nice to see bike in action. Thanks for taking us with you once again!
A private wood, brilliant.
Listening to the rain is wonderful. Amazing the lizard joined you 😊
Somehow I had missed this one Sandy. Great video as usual! Proper fires, proper food, proper nature camping.
Thanks Hedley:)
Well Sandy, this was a treat. Always love going for a ride. The overnight stay was a bonus. You’re very fortunate to be able to do this. Great vid and thanks for sharing. Tony.
Thanks Tony, its a beautiful woodland too:)
What a cracking slice of paradice, and with a bench seat too, all with the sounds of raindrops in your favorite bivvy.
Cheers Ralph, it was a touch of luxury having a bench seat close to hand, every wild camp should have one:)
Aww, that little lizard was so chilled 🦎 ✌🏼🫶🏻
Great video, Sandy 👍

Another very interesting and enjoyable Video, man that breakfast looked fantastic, cheers Rich. FAD
Thanks for watching Noginnog. JBJ :)
Blimey, Sandy - your camp out vids make me feel hungry 😊!
Very nice camp out that one. Lovely piece of woodland Steve has, wildlife & all. The lizard 🦎 is definitely a sign of a healthy habitat.
Glad to see you got your bike back on the road. I'm with you with keeping the street tires on your bike since that's most of the riding you do. Those knobby tires wear out really quickly on the street and that can get expensive.

It has been raining a lot here lately thats for sure, yes I think road tyres are the best option for the riding I do
Another excellent camp Sandy, love the large decideious woods down there in england.

Bottle of Doom Bar. Lovey
Its a Newt sandy . That lovely little amphibian who came to share your bivi .
Super biking and camping trip Sandy!👍🏻
Always an interesting dilemma to resolve for us adventure bikers, especially for those of us that ride primarily on paved/tar roads, dual purpose or knoblies...each with their own pros and cons.
What a beautiful piece of nature your friend has👌🏻
Thanks for sharing Sandy!
I did think very hard about fitting knoblies but 99% of my riding is still on road so will probably still stay with road biased tyres for now
I think the light is radiant, as in heat. The lizard is warming up. That time of year warm during the day and freezing cold at night.
What a great little camp out, those woods looked very familiar to me..(reading way?)
Would love to take my voge rally out next year, after my knee replacement heals of course.
As for knobby tyres...just do it!!..i wouldn't fit anything else.
Nice to see Chugg again, and of course your good self sandy ,
Thankyou sandy í enjoyed watching that great night out in the woods camping, nothing like it.
Well done lads enjoyed this one Atb Coops 👍🏻👍🏻🍻🍻
Cheers Coops
Great camp, Sandy. I love the creatures that rock up next to my shelter... last ones in Scotland were an army of slugs. 😊
What great camp sandy, steve is a nice guy,a great, out of the way piece of solitude 👍
You can resolve the sliding temporarily by letting a few pounds out of the tyres. Cheers Sandy great video😊
Yes that would increase traction
great vid on wild camp wit frends keep up the great vlogs thanks lee
I Sandy good to see Chug out on a camp nice easy set up for one nighter
Nice little camp by the look of things sandy 😉♥️👍
Nice video sandy looking at your sleep bag could you use a couple of tarp clips on the foot bit with guy lines to lift it up a bit just a thought 👍
Another great camp in some lovely woodland.Your little friend was a smooth newt which is an amphibian and would love that damp woodland and rain fall. They will be thinking about finding somewhere to hibernate soon, although the weather has been very warm lately. Thanks for the video.
Thanks 👍Yes your right I have learned something:)
I really appreciate your going to the trouble of filming theses camps, you create such a restful atmosphere, it’s a joy to watch.
You absolutely love wild camping Sandy, especially when it rains on the tent.😊
Nothing better than the sound of rain on tarp or tent
I'd just like to say thank you for the content, you make fantastic videos and I enjoy your content. 👌👍
Great video Sandy . Motorcycles , camping, nature . What more ! Hope Mandy's doing ok.
Hi Stina, Mandy doing OK now
Loved the lizard. Great video Sandy.
How I admire and envy you Sandy , always doing lots of things while I mooch around at home and my triumph chained up in the garage 😅. Enjoy sir you are great
❤ Lovely woodland…☺️🔥
I shall have to come and visit your woodland soon John
That will be grand Sandy; let me know when the time suits ☺️🔥
Super Video Sandy, well organised as usual, always enjoy watching these adventures you rode quite a long way there and back, take care, Colin.
To lift the foot of your Bivvy you could just use a simple Tarp Clip, Sandy. Just clip it where a Guy line would normally attach and rig a Guy line in the normal way. They are dead cheap, usually 4 in a packet.
I shall have to get some John
Great to see you out again.
I wonder why you don't include some of your other hobby amature radio along as well.
Just weight and space
Lovely looking steak there Sandy. Can't beat a good nosh up in the wild.
Another nice video Sandy !. Hope the missus is ok mate ?.
mandy is OK thanks Roger

Sure is a lovely spot bro I hope your wife is doing well. Safe travels. Ken.
Thanks Ken, Mandy is doing well now, she will never be fully fit but is OK
Good job Sandy. Looking forward for more.
Thanks for the video, very nice camp. 👍
Nice lizard shot, and another relaxing camp.. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Ah, yes; my Dad used to love a Sloe Gin Fizz on camping trips. I'm not sure but I think maybe the most slippery footing for a bike off-road is damp pine needles. I guess I get claustrophobic in a small bivvy; I just end up spinning like a top.
Those Fly Agaric mushrooms make for a very entertaining evening, Sandy. You'd have been away with the fairies. 😉
All the best.
Yes I've heard about them, never tried them though:)
In case I had a few too many I always can say:"I'm blinded by the lantern..." I must remember that one. By the way, that little creature was a salamander. Nice video, Sandy! Greetings to the missus and the four legged
It was a smooth Newt :)
@@WiltshireMan of course!!! A newt! Shame on me...
Lizard action 😍😍😍
Great video Sandy mate 👍
Wishing you and yours all the very best
🍻 🍻 CHEERS 🍻 🍻
Good to see you out , and on the RE Himalayan. I love that bike.

Thanks Jim, it was nice to combine motorcycling and camping:)
If I can ever afford to visit the uk I will sure look you up for a cup a tea dear sandy.😊

Good, Sandy Great to manage back on, Sorry not been on Main motor been and is playing up Cheers for now GM4NNC
Cheers Trig the bike is running well now, you will find me on 3.538mhz every Monday at 19:30 local time, please give me a call. CW only ofcourse :)
Try using a red head torch light it doesn’t seem to attract the bugs and you can keep your night vision , nice little camp 🏕️ always enjoy your vlogs 🙂👍
I am aware of the benefits of red light but unfortunately the Armytech Wizard which I was using on this camp doesn't have a red light function
Great camp, sandy i really enjoyed the video, .
Yep, that looked a great camp. Sandy i have the same problems with my himi tyres but i must say the road travel is fine which is mainly what i do so can put up with a little sliding from time to time. At least until i wear out the current ones. Cheers.
I've just fitted (yesterday) a new CEAT tyre on the front, most of my riding is on road too with just small sections here and there off road.
Very nice
I had the bmw gs when it first came out fantastic bike. But I forgot to back off the front shock after a camping holiday and saw off the front tyre in one thousand miles. The new ones look much better than mine.
Hi WM! I’m going to put my tarp up next camp. I’ve had it ages but keep putting off using it as I know it will be a right palaver and total cock up 😂. You make it look so easy.
Get some bungee's Dave, they will make it easy for you :)
I’ve got some! Cheers.

That was tea on this occasion Steve, this was another lovely camp and I have more in the pipeline:)
@@WiltshireMan Aaah right. Did you try out the coffee bags with the guys?
That lizard was a newt.
you are correct
Sandy you forgot to close the gate lol
Hahaa, yes and also the camera:)
Nice video, Sandy, but I think your lizard is actually a common newt (also known as the smooth newt).
Could well be Malcolm
Hey Sandy, had a. Idea/hack for your bivvy footbox, without sewing etc... maybe make two camping buttons from stones inside the bivvy, wrap cord around them from the outside and suspend from sticks to raise the footbox? That would work I'm sure
Now Sandy after consuming a few fare tots of that concoction will you be able to drive the next day ? Presume the answer was Yes and the rain did not dampen your enthusiasm.
Yes, I didn't drink that much really
Sounds like TA Outdoors was playing for a bit
I dream of buying some woodland in the next few years, but I don't like the way that these middlemen are ripping people off. I wonder what the best way to contact land owners direct is.
I love the idea of hooped bivvys - watching nature whilst you're laying down, warm and snug.
I am surprised you tasted anything from that bacon and egg wrap Sandy . I think i ate more of it than you. Looked delicious. 😂
27:55 you forgot to blur out his tag # like you did earlier. wish i had a place like that to head out to camp, but everywhere around here is farm land and private and i dont know anyone that owns any woods.
It is done now, the video hadn't finished processing when you watched it
It looked good fun but I’m not organised well enough to do this.
I’d just sleep in my riding gear after drinking a bottle of Wodka and eating the fungi.😊
hahaaa I'm sure I would do the same!
You could use some very strong spring clips and para cord?
That would work Donna:)
I have tkc80 on my himmy mate nice camp
I just put a new CEAT tyre on the front yesterday Pete, I think I shall be putting TKC80's on next time
PS Don't forget your welcome to come over for a ride anytime:)
Get the fly argaric in a frying pan and watch the Forest come to Life 😂😅
It's an hallucinogen :)
Use a jubilee clip on the footbox?
You ever considered a Scott oiler?
Yes, but they are also quite messy
Sandy how big a woodland does Steve own?
I'm not sure maybe 4 or 5 acres
@WiltshireMan Lovely and a genuinely nice guy to invite you, how is herself by the way ? Give her our regards from us all.
It seems so much of the canal network is being run down 😟
I think you are commenting on the wrong video Albert?
Very enjoyable video Sandy.
