- SILENCERCO'S LATEST RELEASE
The Omega 36M from SilencerCo is a modular, fully welded suppressor designed to handle a huge variety of calibers. While it can do the traditional 5.56 to 300 Win Mag like other suppressors in class, the Omega 36M can also accommodate larger projectiles such as 9x19, 350 Legend, 357 Magnum, and even 338 Lapua Magnum. In addition to the shooter being able to easily use the Omega 36M on their host firearm of choice, they can also adjust the length to suit their specific needs. Roughly 2" can be removed from the front, bringing the suppressor from just under 7" all the way down to 4.9".
Constructed from Titanium, Cobalt 6, and Inconel, the Omega 36M can stand up to a substantial amount of abuse. Even being able to withstand that abuse, it comes in at almost half the weight of the Chimera. In it's full size configuration it has a base weight of 11.9 ounces and it can be dropped to a base weight of 9.2 ounces in the shorted variant.
The mounting system on the Omega 36M is a departure from both the Omega 300 and Omega 9K/45K. It uses a Charlie mounting system, so existing Saker/Chimera mounts are compatible. It ships with a Charlie ASR mount, allowing for easy attachment to the most common muzzle device in the industry. In addition to the existing mounts for the Saker and Chimera, the Omega 36M is also compatible with the new 3-Lug and Piston systems to allow for use on 9mm subguns and handguns.

Excellent Review. Short and to the point “NO Fluff” it’s appreciated!
Super informative. I'm getting one of these
I needed to see this!
Great video. Wasn’t really that into this can but after seeing your video I kinda am now.
same here. Im trying to decide between the Omega 300 and 36M
@@CokeMk7 id get the 36m tbh
@@CokeMk7 get the 36m
I emailed SilencerCo yesterday (6/2/2021) about the Omega 36M with some questions and they replied today. Part of the reply specifically said there is a 7" minimum barrel length restriction for 300 BO for the Omega (and also the Hybrid 46).
This isn't the first source that I've heard or read no barrel length restrictions for 300 BO, but SilencerCo themselves told me something different....
No restrictions to 300bo if it's a subsonic. 7" restriction if you're using supers. Either way, I know people running supers in 5" setups without issues.
Excellent video man. Thank you.
Great video! Thank you,
this video is awesome. thanks!
Helluva good video. Thank you!
You're very welcome!
I would like to see on screen what each different host is while that host in on camera.
Capitol Armory- Can you give details on that lever gun ? Make, model, and who did the threading, etc ?
Capitol Armory, how is the back pressure/ gas blowback on this? Compared to the Saker for example.
Great can, love mine
Did the recoil spring on that select fire rattler use stock spring ? i heard lot of bad things on the stock spring of the sig mpx.
This is the one badass!
I bet that MPX is louder because of the short stroke gas piston operarion and those excess gasses being vented during cycling. It seems like piston driven weapons are almost always louder then their non-piston operated counterpart (i.e. Direct Impingement, Delayed Roller, Tilt Breach and so on)
True. But the blowback to the user is minimal in a piston AR. Less fouling in the chamber of the upper reciever
🎉🎉🎉🎉y🎉
How would it rate for durability against the chimera 300? What other competing industry suppressor would you compare it to?
Good review. How would you rate this agains the Surefire Socom7.62 Mini?
Nice!!! Definitely makes 9mm and 556 hearing safe at the muzzle but what are the dB ratings at the shooters ear?
We don't do at-ear numbers. Too easy to distort. Two AR's can act completely different than each other based on tuning, barrel length, etc. Bolt guns can act even more different.
I just picked mine up from the ffl ,any pressure increase. Is the adjustable gas block needed thanks
How does it compare to the Hybrid 46 in full size configuration?
Looks pretty overgassed. Seems like there’s a lot of back pressure.
How does this compare to a surefire 7.62?
do you feel this could be used safely with a 12" 8.6 BLK?
Capital, great review..I just bought a Rattler in 300blk. Looking at this suppressor, you had it mounted on the Rattler in the beginning of the video, but didn't post any numbers..can you give me an idea of the numbers you pulled on short and long configuration with subs? Was deciding between this and Chimera. Thx in advance!!
I'm curious to. I am looking for a can for my 300blk rattler also
@capitol same thing
Are 300blakout supers ok out of an 8 inch barrel?
Seems like you'd be cutting it close with .375 through a .358 can. Must be a good bit overbored, can you tell us what the bore though the baffles measures?
You are close. It's bigger than .375, but not by much. SilencerCo does NOT recommend you do 375
Will this handle 375 H&H aswell?
I just bought a 36m and didn’t know I could use the cherry bomb! Does anyone know if there is an additional adapter needed or just the asr mount and suppressor?
How does the 36M perform compares to omega 9k in the short configuration? Is this 300 blackout supersonic rated or sub only?
It handles 338 Lapua so I'm going to go out on a limb and say it can handle supersonic 300BLK.
Still trying to decide if I want to get an Omega K or the Omega 36M. Already have a Hybrid 46. Looking something for a CZ Scorpion that's smaller than the Hybrid
bbong73 Have you made a decision? I think I’m gonna pick up the 36M for my Scorpion.
@@zak3159 I ended up getting the Omega K
Do you know what components are made from inconel?
@CapitolArmory Can you help me out here? I'm a bit confused. It's an OMEGA 36m, but if wanting to use the dead air Key-mo with it, is the Saker key-mo supposed to be used or the Omega key-mo? I would think the Omega because it's an Omega, but all the Charlie/Saker/Chimera stuff is throwing me off.
Its interchangeable with the Saker and Chimera interface. Aka "Charlie" interface. Different than the Omega 300.
I believe DA also makes a keymo for Omega. I know they make two models.
Ikr I too I’m tryna figure this out ?
@@kentanyamartin8313 Its what the first guys said. The "Charlie" mount, compatible with the Chimera and Saker.
Idk why SilencerCo chose to use these terms, makes it very confusing.
Wish my Hybrid could break in two lengths like this.
Do you have to use a piston when shooting on the glock 19?
Yup.
I bet this thing is a sick pair with 8.6 blackout.
Do you like this over the Chimera 300? This would work with the old BE Meyers flash hider? How is the blowback in the K configuration on the semi auto rifle calibers? Looking for a can for a 12.5” 7.62x51 SBR Switchblock from Noveske. Leaning towards the CGS Helios QD or Surefire 862 Gen 2 or running the Vox-S.
Can you shoot 375 socom from it since your firing 375 ruger?
Did I hear you right that you fired a 375 Ruger thru this?
When use a 9 mm bullets for it to work,,,do they have to be sub sonic Bullets?
no, subsonic will be quieter though
I cant decide between the 36 or 46m
Can this be used with 9mm right out of the box(without changing the end cap)?
It does come with the 30 cal (9mm) end cap but it doesn't come with the mounting hardware for pistols. If you're using a sub gun with with an asr muzzle device then yes. Otherwise you'll have to buy the piston and housing for it.
Are your dB measurements at muzzle or at ear?
This versus Trash Panda? I also have heard bad things about the ASR mounting system. Thanks
luiz79 36M, I hope you find what you’re looking for.
@@neptunenighttimeservices7964 I did. I think This can has potential as a jack of all trades but does not offer the performance to a dedicated caliber can. Definetely on my radar down the line. The Panda is not on my radar. I decided to stick to YHM cans for the most part.
Yep they should have went with 1 3/8-24 rear thread. I convert all mine to Q cherry bombs (best mount on the market) but even so the Charlie mount sucks.
Does the 36m have a Neilsen device?
It does not come with one. They'll be available at a later date.
Wow! This can even handle 9mm??
-
I'm just fooling around, it was just a weird tidbit to throw into the mix.
can it shoot 45acp?
So is this the quietest can that can run both 308 and 9mm?
I was actually disappointed with the decibels rating. The lowest one for 9mm I’ve seen so far is CGS Mod 9. IIRC average dB was around 118~120
@@73roken handles 9mm better than the Omega 9k
👍
Would you buy this can? I’m really confused by this can. Is it a rifle can that can be used on a 9mm or is it just in a league if it’s own? Does this have an available 3 lug mount?
Uses the same 3-lug mount SilencerCo offers for the pistol line (Omega 9k, 45k, Octane, Hybrid etc.). You just need to have a piston housing installed first.
Can it handle 6.5 prc?
Price?
Does it beat the hybrid model ?
It's a different suppressor, so I can't really say one beats the other. Both have different strengths and weaknesses.
What did you think of this can? It’s a strange one! Sure sounded good on that mp5
They did really well with it. It's a modular rifle can that can handle 9mm as well... solid option.
Is this good for 762x39?
easy. works on 300 win. mag. 762 is a 30 cal round.
Backorder backorder backorder backorder backorder
Great review though
ordered in jan, went pending june, delayed by FBI in august...
What’s the decibel rating for 338LM?
First Last I believe it’s around 143 in the long configuration
Sub 140 according the SilencerCo. We didn't test it, but most of the numbers were fairly close to theirs.
At muzzle, both lengths meter over 140. At the ear in short config you're just under 140. Long config you're mid 130's
We've got another video up with those numbers
Will it work on an AK?
Mine is in NFA jail right now. It’ll see plenty of time on my AK, but I had a JMac RRD4C KeyMo installed on my 14.5 barrel. The fact the can is overbored for something like 7.62 should mitigate the risk of baffle strikes, however I still wanted my muzzle device mounted concentric to the threads so I had it done by CW Gunwerks.
DeadAir wolfman or the 36m?
They're completely different. The 36M is a rifle can that can do 9mm, the Wolfman is a pistol can that can kind of do rifle calibers.
@@Capitolarmory which one sounds the best?
So it's a good 9x39 can.
That's .366 diameter btw (9.3mm)
Same as the Makarov diameter. Russians are weird.
I understand zero of what you said. Is this the one can I need to do all? I’d really just like someone’s who understands this stuff to tell me what I need to buy.
cant shoot 45 acp? :(
Barrel restriction for 7.62×39?
16 inches
@@misunderestimated7 incorrect, its at least 10". 10" 5.56 is tougher than the equivalent 7.62x39
Per SiCo, 7" with supersonics. No restrictions on subsonic.
.375 ruger will explode if you send it through this can... considering right in its name 36m should tell you it won't fit...
Looks and sounds great but.....the price of it just kills me. It's over a thousand dollars just for the can, never mind all the other pricey hardware you will need to run it on several weapons ( for example: I'd want to run it on my Glocks, 9 & 10mm, AR 458 socom, M1A Socom) . So it's something I'd have to save tax returns for two or three years to get one!! It cost as much or more than the weapons you will put it on.
It certainly isn't an inexpensive can, but that being said it's still at a competitive price point. It's on the upper end of "average" but still less expensive than a lot of brands such as Knights, SureFire, or TBAC.
I paid 899$
Bro you realize your “tax returns” are just you giving the gov interest free money and then finally give it back to you. Take charge of your financial life. Stop paying in so much on taxes and budget that money to have in hand sooner
Ereu yet nesh
Hmm...360 buckhammer.
ASR is not universal, its proprietary.
I just noticed... what’s up with your arms?? 😬
That’s irrelevant
