Excellent information on the assembly and quietness of this suppressor
Thanks, I’m going to purchase this one for my first suppressor. 👍🏽
It's an amazing hush cannon that's for sure!
We're big fans of SilencerCo!
The shell casings hitting the truck bed are louder LOL
I know it!!! This thing is amazing
Just ran mine today at the range from a 24 inch 6.5 cm precision rifle direct thread long to a 14.5 ar 15 with a keymo adapter short config and the 556 end cap in literal seconds. Can does get hot but invested in one of those mechanix oven mits, so there was no time loss. Love this can. Great vid.
How does it sound on 5.56?
Great video! I love my 36M. Partner it with a 46M and you literally have 2 suppressors that cover everything except for 50cal. One thing I’ve noticed is the 46M is a bit quieter than the 36.
I didn't even consider the 46M!!! but hey, you can never have enough suppressors, right??
his grip and 2 red dots tells me this guy knows as much as my wife about guns
Just bought this today. Haven’t shot it yet. Hope it doesn’t take the 8-13 months I’ve heard of. Thanks for a GREAT video, that was very fun and informative.
mine just got approved today, 97 days
Really amazed at the level of suppression on the Glock 17. In this video it appears to be quieter than my suppressor on Ruger Lite which I'm not happy with at all, not only because of poor suppression but also because it is almost impossible to disassemble it for cleaning
Got my electronic form 4 approval today, it only took 20 days. I was totally expecting at least 6 months 🤷🏻♂️
You're a lucky man!!!
I just had 2 approved last month, 150 and 157 days......good on you!
Mine came back in 2 days!
@KN-cool that's awesome.....hopefully the days of a year or more wait time are over.
@@RP-ks6ly mine came back in 36 hours
Because I have 9mm, 10mm and .45cal Glocks and an AR15, I bought the SilencerCo Hybrid46M, the big brother to the Omega 36M. It will accommodate up to 46mm ammo. One can will fit them all.
@lousmith5264 very nice!! I like that option, if you choose to shoot those rounds subsonic!
My Omega 36M just came home with me after my FFL babysat it for eight months. Haven't had a chance to get it out on the range but happy to hear how excited you are about it! Was hoping you were going to blow up those pumpkins in the back of your pickup. Thanks for the video!
I did the paperwork for mine the second week of january and i still haven't got to pick it up yet.
I just got my omega 36m. I’m looking on UA-cam and I found your video. Very cool brother keep up the content. Hope all is well.
@samuelcampana650 hey man good to hear from you!!! I hope you're doing well, and thanks for the support!
That grin at the end of each shooting series sold me, that’s some pretty cool kit right there. After 40 years in the laborers union and now working in a gun shop, does everyone know that as of right now 5-2-2024? Turn -a- round on silencers, is one week???!!!!…. Get some!!! Nice review! I’m trying to decide on which one for me.
You cant go wrong with ScilencerCo!!!
Just bought this suppressor a few days ago. Should take possession of it come June or July of 2024. My first was a Silencerco Hybrid 46 that took 279 days beginning in November 30th, 2022. It finally got approved the day after Labor Day.
The wait seems SOO long then all of a sudden, it's yours!! Fantastic for the money I think
Heads up there is a recall on the 46. I have to send mine in. Something about body welds giving and popping the can.
@@angry_z_rider4275 I checked on mine when that came out. Fortunately I’m in the clear.
Good video thanks! I have one and wanted to let people know it's too fat to use on a pistol without a red dot. My suppressor height sights don't clear it's 1.57" diameter. I still like it and would buy it again. Used Silencer Shop, electronic fingerprints at one of their kiosks, photo from phone app, and eFile. Took right at 8 months.
No one gonna say anything about the red dot mounted to the handguard?💀
Pretty sure that's a magnifier. The red dot is on the receiver rail
@@lostpyperIt’s a vortex red dot (I have one). It’s an old design optic but works well enough. There are better to buy now-a-days.
Sir he is a suppressor expert, not an optic expert🤡
@@lostpyper no
out to distance though, might want to mount that dude up to something with a bit less wiggle. 😂
The Banish 30 by Silencer Central is multi caliber.
it's also able to be 7" or 9" BUT!!!! the Banish 30 won't do 9mm .300 WB down. 17 WMR - .300WB But still it's a great can. I have one.
I just got my Hybrid 46M after waiting 12 months....7 days shy of a year, to be exact.
Just ordered the 46M through Silencer Central, very helpful people over there! I can’t wait to take it to the range sometime next year lol
Biggest regret of my life is doing business with silencer central. It'll take 2 months after atf approval before the send it to you. Spent 6k with them and after they got the money all that helpfulness was gone.
@@williamgilmer3856 that's crazy. I hope I don't have a similar experience but knowing I'll be waiting I wanted something for everything.
@GrizzlyCompany hopefully you didn't buy the banish 30 gold. Proprietary muzzle devices that they charge way to much for and take 3 weeks to ship to you. And the sound suppression on 300blackout is horrible at best.
It's nice to know that this suppressor is so versatile, but my cans never leave there host firearms.🇺🇲
@l.s.451 when you have many cans, it is nice lol but only having 1 right now, this will have to do
I use the classic Omega 300 on different calibers and it does a damn good job on all of them.
@@j.p.4541 it's an amazing machine
Been wanting one for a while, I got the muzzle brake mounts for it for each of my rifles but..Out of stock, waiting until the Summer sale and will get one or two then.
Shop by me has em. Dont just look online, stores still carry stuff 😊
@@rossauce12 I went in to several near me and called others, nobody had any ASR Mount 30 cal cans including the Omega.
I ended up back ordering it from SilencerShop and am just waiting on the serial number
@mattm2507 they have a 36m at the store near me. I think I'm just gona get a dedicated can though
@@rossauce12 Lucky!
Impressive on the 9mm Glock 17. You didn't address whether you have a clear site to the target through the optic and whether suppressor height iron sites would be high enough with the OMEGA 36M.
Have 3 of these. Perfect for my use. You forgot to show the short configuration.
@johntalbot119 yes I will have to make a new video for the pistol alone
Can't wait for my Omega to get out of jail, been way too long now. Great video!
The wait is long ... but we'll worth the wait!
does it come with everything needed to go from caliber to calliber.?
nice, going to look into it.
Mine no paper work on it in my box. You have to buy accessories attachments for mounting
Just being a smart a$$ great video thank you for the time invested
Got mine in 6 days faster than I did than I can own a pistol here 😂
So much going on in this video. From calling the shims for the muzzle device "spacers" to the red dot being mounted on a palmetto state armory upper. 😵💫
Do you know some people call water fountains, bubblers? It's strange how some people call items you're accustomed to, a different word. 🤔
Also, yes, the red dot was misplaced lol I got a ton of hate for that, and I just put those sights on before this video and didn't notice. Rest well though, because it HAS been changed lol
All good brother, I appreciate the view and the comment. Happy shooting my friend
Nice job. Thanks!
Any time my friend!
sorry get you have a magnifier but what's up with the huge red dot mounted on the handguard instead of upper
Hmmm looks the most compact option for 338 lapua rifle that I can see. I really dont want any more weight up front then necessary. And as you said it can get even shorter. I just want to go from muzzle brake to a suppressor, dB reduction is not most important. I guess this is the most compact option.
Nice job. One of my favorites as well. Please wear eye protection though... just not worth the risk
I just picked up the DDm4 300 and the omega 36m. Which flash hider or muzzle brake do you recommend? Also what is the thread pitch?
1 suppressor to rule them all
Any suggestions on cleaning it
Yup, don't do it. For no reason should you ever clean a silencer. Direct from Omega
Is full auto rated?
this is awesome. thank you for the info.
@@ThePhotographerGuy thank YOU! I appreciate the support :)
would like to hear normal ammo through that, see what the difference is between the subsonic and standard
The red dot may be in the wrong place, but he picked a good suppressor with exception of the compensator mount, should have been the flash hider mount. Flash is what gets you killed on the battlefield at night in most instances. SilencerCo also has a flash hider end cap both outside and inside versions.
Additionally think about suppressor glow after a mag of ammo, think Manta suppressor covers.
PS…flash mitigating end cap helps. SilencerCo has both external and internal flash mitigating end caps.
Good luck finding the flash hider endcaps ANYWHERE! It's a lot like finding a Unicorn and you are a blind person.
Can you do a video with the 9mm in the short version?
Yes I will!
Dude. Why did you not drop the mag and lock the slide back on the handgun when you installed the suppressor?
The mag was empty, as you saw me loading the mag afterwards, and my hand never got close to the trigger, or was infront of the muzzle.
Oh. Well that's perfectly safe then. It isn't as if there could be a round in the chamber or anything.@@jeffofalltrades8489
What's that rattling sound inside it. I hope that's not how the suppresor is.
Does this Supressor can be used on 17 hmr?
Does it come with all the packaging to use on 9mm and Ar rifle?!?
@@sharazwryy this one does, yes!
@@sharazwryy the only thing you need to buy is the threaded compensator for the AR
Hi man, thanks for the video. Very informative. Quick question, do I need to purchase the piston mount for 1/2 28 handgun thread separately? Can I fit this onto anything right out of the box?
@@likevin145 the thread pitch fits on MOST standard threaded barrels
what ear protection are you wearing?
What’s the price?
What barrel length is your 300 blackout?
How much for the silencer? Thanks
It's about $1,000 give or take depending where you are
How much?
I am hoping for no more tax stamp and permission to own suppressors soon. So being a machinist, i'm going to make suppressors for all my guns. As soon as that is legal to do.
We all can dream
Does it come with all the attachments you showed? Or sold separately? Thanks
This comes with everything except the muzzle break that attaches to the barrel. You'll need to get that in order to attach it to your AR. It's about $110
Have never seen anyone mount their optic on the handguard. What’s up with that?
@@jeremyb251 it was a rush build and it's not like that anymore lol everyone keeps putting me on blast for that
@@jeffofalltrades8489 10-4.
Dude. Not hating but I am. Between the multi rotation and a locking lug. I'll take direct thread all day
Did you use any lock tite or rockset on the ASR muzzle device?
How about 45 auto red dot
Can you shoot with 10mm or 45 acp?
Will it need anything else to cycle 9mm handgun subsonic ammo ?
Nope! It works great with what you see here
😢😢😢😢 when he said those were all sun sonic at the end... i went from wanting to buy it to mediocre in 1 sec I nd
for what he just illustrated (300blk/9mm), the omega 9k is easier and has great supression.
I’m shopping for a suppressor and watch a lot of these informational UA-cam videos. Imagine if there was a meter that could actually measure the db of the firearm so we wouldn’t have to rely on the,”Sound,” on a video. Someone should invent that device.
@stephenwalton9646 buy me one and I'll use it on this suppressor! Although, there are a TON of variables. Caliber, bullet weight, subsonic or supersonic rounds, barrel length, it's hard to give a blanket statement as to what decibel each suppressor is shooting at.
@@jeffofalltrades8489 I understand the variables but I won’t be buying you a decibel meter. Hint, nobody else creating suppressor videos is using one so it might give you a competitive leg up. It would go a long way in “Educating,” the viewers which is a big thing with YT. And we know how YT just loves shoot’n videos as opposed to educational ones. No biggie. Your business to run.
@stephenwalton9646 I do this for basic information. It's not my job, and you're correct; UA-cam hates gun videos. All I'm saying is if you're searching UA-cam for absolute fact information on every suppressor ok the market, you're going to be disappointed. I know of many videos out there that compare a great variety of quiet cans that are very informational. But at the end of the day, what you shoot matters more than the can at the end of your rifle when it comes to decibel.
I was being direct, not insulting. I do hope you find what you're looking for and I'm sorry I couldn't deliver
@@jeffofalltrades8489 No problem and no offense taken. FWIW, I think your video helped cement my choice. Now if only the manufacturer could keep up. Looks like the Feds are not going to be the big delay getting the can.
@@stephenwalton9646Military arms channel and Mr GunsnGear both have decibel meters they use on every suppressor video they make. There may be more, but those are 2 off the top of my head.
A+ Video.
Thanks my friend! I appreciate the support!
the optic setup hurt my soul i couldnt finish the video
@@Yotaassassins317 I fixed it!!! Lol damn drag me through the coals
@@jeffofalltrades8489 I’m sorry I did finish watching it you speak well and use a good quality camera keep up the videos
@Yotaassassins317 lol I got so many comments about the red dot being on the wrong part of the gun. It was new, got slapped on and I didn't notice it before filming. But so many people are mentioning that lol cheers
Mines still in jail since March.
45 acp?
I have a maxim pdx 300 blackout and im waiting for my omega 36m currently, what caliber did you get for the muzzle break ?
the only downfall of it is it has many barrel length restrictions if you're running short barrel lengths
Does the pistol attachment come with it?
Yes! It's all one piece!
Its one size fits most. There are a few bigger calibers. Even their Hybrid 46 & 46M won't shoot a .50 caliber.
It is a great overall suppressor and if you are only going to buy one and need the .223 to 9mm range then it’s a good buy. However if you only need 7.62 and 5.56 I would buy a flow through .30 cal can. Why…because this suppressor is a smoke show. It traps a lot of gas and will gas you out if you shoot a DI gun. On my AK it’s practically unshootable because of the gas coming back (and I wasn’t expecting that from a long stroke system). It’s also a ton of gas on my short stroke Sig. So…it’s a great can if you need the range of calibers but if you only need the .223 to 7.62 I would get a .30 cal flow through.
Which can would that be?
@@TheJakobLott Huxwrk, Sig, Daniel Defense, Silencer Co all make low back pressure cans in 7.62. There are plenty of options.
I really appreciated your video…why Buy so many CANS for all your guns especially considering your Tax Stamp …I feel like it’s a Winner….feel like it’s the Homeowners Can! Homeowners that shoot but not thousands of rounds a month. “Wish I Could!”
I saw the red dot on the handguard in the thumbnail and said no way am I going to listen to this guy 😂 Had the click on it to leave this comment though
How much is it before the tax stamp ?
About 900
Anyone know that mounting plate is being used to mate the (non-MOS) G17 to the Holosun red dot?
That is a the Dove Dot plate!! I love it! I made a few videos on it including a full torture test.
Go to Dovemounts.com to pick one up, and use code Jeff10 for 10% off if you do!!!
@@jeffofalltrades8489 THANK YOU. Yeah, I’ll def be getting it. This is by far the best solution I’ve seen for getting red dots non-MOS Glocks.
Let's hear a 556 please.
I will have to make another video!!
Hows it sound on 5.56?
Not AS quiet, but it deafens the sound and you don't get the CRACK you do without one. BUT this isn't really intended for the 5.56. The .300 is where it truly shines
Obsidian 45 with a 9MM cap will do the same for the money.
Did your zero move?
I actually haven't done a zero test with the suppressor ... I usually just shoot steel for fun! Thats a great idea though!
Bro showin off his pumpkin collections with his red dot where the front site goes 😅
Nobody's curious? Why are you not blasting the gourds in your pickup bed? You just drive around with gourds hanging out in your truck???
Took some recoil outta that Glock too with that nose weight looks like…lol
@@bigl6322 it's crazy!!! Even if you have no clue how to shoot....putting that behemoth on the front of your gun makes anyone feel like they're shooting a 22 lol
That Feng Shui back drop is smokin!!!
Show the point of impact
Why? Lol
Eye pro dude. Silencers only help the ears
556?
You shouldn't shoot with out the suppressor or the end cap of the barrel on it. The barrel is weakest at the threaded end.
....and what would happen to the barrel?
Always clear the weapon and show us it is clear before you start adding a suppressor etc. Safety first! Great video!
But i can steal hear the noise from the gun
I'll 3d print a gun, that might help lol
👍
WOW! Who else realized that rifle was HOT the entire time he's threading the can on. Dang dude! Flagging yourself for over 2 minutes straight! Had a round in the chamber after you dropped the mag, and YOU NEVERE FLIPPED IT TO SAFE!
@@PrecisionPowderCoating please note the time frame where there was a round in either weapon, and please note the 2 minutes I was 'flagging myself ' because you are wrong
Ok Pumpkin Boy
Yeah the red dot on the Handguard made it pretty clear this dude has nothing useful to offer.
I got a channel strike for showing how to attach my omega 36M.
UA-cam hates me.
I noticed when you changed the suppression you did not safety that weapon. Good luck to you man.
@jerrytotton8697 lol
😂 well, I was kinda hoping you’d change that front cap to demonstrate the 9mm. Woulda been a “bangin” good time
